Wanting Reed (Break Me) BOOK 2
Page 37
I nod and say, “If you like that, you ought to see what’s under my shirt.” Reed pulls up my blouse and starts unbuttoning it, another easy-access article of clothing I planned before leaving for the airport. When he finally sees my red lace demi bralette, his lips engulf mine as he’s grabbing his zipper and freeing his dick from his underwear.
“Doll, you sure know how to drive me insane. You know that, right?”
“You’ve earned it, baby.”
Before I know it, Reed’s sliding down my lace cheekies and pushing his dick inside me. My head rolls back against the wall as I attempt to keep my moans quiet. Reed is having just as hard a time suppressing his moans, so he keeps his lips locked with mine.
His hands find my waist and pull me closer to him as he continues to pump his hips. Each thrust sends waves of pleasure throughout my body. It’s too cramped in here to get a full thrust inside me, but right now, I couldn’t care less. Reed’s dick pulsating inside me and his lips on me are enough to throw me over the edge in any location. I continue to try to keep quiet as my body begins to shake with pleasure.
No sooner am I starting to feel the rhythm of Reed’s dick and closing in on my own orgasm does the plane start to hit some turbulence. Reed’s eyes shoot open, and I know he’s tensed up. His cock goes rock hard inside me and I nearly come undone, but I hold off and let my eyes connect with his. He knows I understand he’s apprehensive from the unsteady motion, so I mouth against his lips, “Just relax and make me come.”
Reed pulls his lips away from mine, and I let out a slight cry. “As much as I love having my cock inside you and feeling your tight walls vibrating around my dick, this turbulence isn’t helping me.” I know he’s starting to think about the flight now more than this moment between us, so I look up at him and say with as much authority as I can muster, “Reed Austin, fuckin’ man up and make me come. Right here, right now! Get your head in the game. You come for me right now, right the fuck now.”
I don’t think he was expecting me to say anything remotely close to that. The minute I was done demanding him to finish me, his eyes went stone cold and he pushed his cock so deep inside me that I knew this was it. He was about to come.
“That was the fuckin’ hottest thing you’ve ever said to me. Now, hold on because it’s about to get rough.” With those words, my walls clench and I quickly unravel. His lips muffle my cries as he holds his cock inside me. I feel his dick harden and then he starts pumping as fast as he can as he releases himself. His growls finally subside, and he opens his eyes and looks at me. I peek up at him and see his face relax as I say, “See. Now aren’t you more relaxed after joining the Mile High Club?”
“Doll, if you feel the need to demand me to fuck you again on this flight just to calm my nerves, then say the fucking word and I’m there.”
There was more turbulence on the flight, which meant more bathroom time for me before we landed in Texas. I can’t get over what my doll did. I love that she was looking out for me. She planned everything so perfectly from the location of the seats to her no-fuss wardrobe with those fucking red lace panties, which I tore off and left in shreds during the last trip to the bathroom. All the thoughts she put into planning our in-flight escapade leaves me wanting more. I never saw what she did coming. She’s got me all fucking excited for the return flight to Boston.
She’s quiet now, sleeping peacefully as we make our descent into Texas. It’s going to be about one in the morning when we land. I slide my hand underneath the red blanket that covers her, placing it between her thighs and loving that she’s not wearing panties. Fuck. I’m hard when she moans once she feels my hand between her legs. I have to cover her lips with mine so nobody hears.
“Doll.” I chuckle. “We’re still on the plane and about to land.”
She smiles over my mouth, placing her hand over mine as she slide ups in her chair. “I had the best dream about you.”
“Yeah,” I whisper, nipping at her ear.
“What was I doing?”
“Me.”
Holiday travel sucks. The terminal is bustling at this late hour. Elle appears apprehensive, twisting her hair meticulously as I grab our luggage from the carousel. Being away from her family at Thanksgiving is weighing heavily on her mind because I can see it in her expressive eyes. She retreats to the bathroom to change out of her clothes and reappears wearing a pair of snug black jeans and a red cashmere sweater with a pair of black cowboy boots. I slide my hand in hers and kiss her on the cheek as we exit the terminal. It’s a clear, perfect night in Texas. The weather is hovering around fifty degrees, twenty degrees warmer than when we left Boston. I will take this temperature any day, as I inhale the fresh, cool air into my lungs.
I can’t wait for my mom to meet Elle. She’s going to understand why I went back for her. Everything seems to be coming together for me for the first time in a while. All the talks that I had with Momma about fighting for what I want have gotten me here with the woman I love. Momma knew the right one would come along for me and that I’d finally be happy and fall in love.
Momma is already asleep so we won’t be heading over until the morning. Plus, I’m anxious to spend time with Elle in a quiet hotel and finish what we couldn’t do on the plane. I want to be able to repay her with my own surprise. So, Tommy and Juju better not be late.
“Doll, thanks for making the flight easy on my nerves,” I say, squeezing her hand. “You’re always going to travel with me from now on.”
“Oh yeah?” she asks, placing her finger in front of her lip flirtatiously. “Glad I could help,” she replies coyly, pinning her body against my hard-on.
“I fucking love you.” I drop our suitcases, grab her face in between my hands and kiss her like I mean it, but I think I always do.
“I love you, too.” She sighs when I pull away.
“Look at you, lovebirds,” Juju chirps as Tommy pulls up to the curb in his truck, startling us as we stand on the sidewalk. Juju hops out and gives us a wide, toothy grin as she grabs Elle for a hug while I throw our suitcases into the truck.
“Shit, I see you made it in one piece, and you’re actually leaving the airport fucking smiling. This is a first.” Tommy laughs, glancing over at me and then at Elle. “So, tell me, Elle, what did you do to my man here to have him looking all chipper?”
“I just kept him occupied. No biggie,” she replies, hopping into the backseat nonchalantly. She smiles innocently from behind her lashes and pats the seat next to her.
Yeah, she did.
I slide in next to her and squeeze her close to me, loving this wicked, sexy side of her.
“I’m not going to ask.” Juju laughs as she slips into the front seat, peeping over her shoulder as Tommy puts the truck into drive and we head into downtown Arlington. Everything is going according to plan. She doesn’t suspect a thing.
“Why is Tommy taking us here? I thought we were staying at your mom’s house,” Elle whispers, perplexed as we pull up to the Hilton Hotel.
“You’re not the only one with a surprise.”
After checking in, we make our way to the seventh floor. I slide the key into the door while her intrusive eyes search my face. I slip into the suite before her, drop the suitcases onto the floor, switch on the lights and turn to her. “Come here.”
“What did you do?” she demands playfully. Taking her into my arms, I spin her around and press her into my chest.
“Patience, doll,” I whisper into her ear, covering her eyes with my hands. “I’m always thinking about you.”
“Hmm...” she moans, feeling my erection pressing against her back as I step into the bedroom and stop at the foot of the bed. “Really?” She leans her head on my chest, lifting her lips to mine and allowing me to taste her as I slip my hand from her eyes.
“Surprise,” I murmur over her lips. She lowers her eyes and gasps, turning to me with a smile so sinful it makes me think that I needed to have done this a long time ago.
“Cuffs,” she b
reathes. Grabbing the collar of my shirt, she crushes her lips over mine and yanks me toward the bed. I take it that she likes my surprise. She didn’t even take notice of the rose petals scattered all over the bed or the new red lingerie I bought for her to model for me. I guess it doesn’t matter; they would have just gotten in the way anyway.
I drop off Elle at campus and head over to Jerry’s compound. She doesn’t need to know my plans for the day. My main concern is for her to do well during her interview. I phoned Jerry while she was in the shower to say that I’d be stopping by at some point. He is just a nagging headache that I plan to get rid of once and for all. Today. Now.
I head up the long, winding driveway to his mansion equipped with a stable, horses and all the things that people with money have, even if it is not made honestly. I pull up and park next to my favorite car, a black Suburban, that I had the pleasure of riding in after my beating. I cut off the engine of Tommy’s truck and recognize the two figures approaching me. I chuckle to myself as I exit the truck as Ben and Leon stop and stand a couple of feet away from me. I would love to pay them back for the broken arm and the time I spent tied up, but I want to get the hell out of here.
“Well...well...well...look who came back. You miss us?” Leon sneers, shoving one pudgy hand into the pocket of his blue jeans. He looks tired and overworked and his black leather jacket hangs loosely on his shoulders. He’s lost weight since the last time I saw him. Poor guy. His sidekick doesn’t look much better. Grimacing with dark circles under his eyes, Ben stands with his arms folded over his chest. His biceps pull noticeably at the sleeves of his white button-down shirt.
“Hey, looks like you guys never went on that vacation you talked about from the last time I saw you.” I snicker, nodding my head in Ben’s direction. “And, I see that your friend here is still lacking social skills.”
“Ben is not known for his brains, just his brawn. Should we refresh your memory on that?” Leon stresses as Ben rubs his paws together, signaling he’s ready for anything.
“Nah. Nah, man.” I laugh, taking a step back. “I didn’t come here looking for trouble. I came to pay off my debt to Jerry.”
“Really?” Leon mocks, quirking an eyebrow. “You gambling again?”
“Nope,” I reply, reaching for the large envelope from the front seat of the truck. “All of it is right here.” I wave the envelope in front of them.
“How did you get your hands on that kind of money?”
“Don’t worry about where I got it. Just take me to Jerry so I can wipe the slate clean and get the fuck out of here.”
They escort me down a hallway that smells like leather and pine with walls painted a deep burgundy and a rich mahogany hardwood floor. I don’t remember any of this from the last visit, but I do remember the double doors that Ben shoves open that signifies my freedom. Freedom from Jerry and the past that’s been chasing me for over a year.
“Mr. West, you’ve got a visitor.”
“Fuck, what did I tell you about this? You need to buzz me first!” His voice booms from behind the leather chair as a ring of cigar smoke curls in the air, burning my eyes and causing me to cough from the stench.
“Sorry, boss.”
He swivels around in his chair to face me, and I tense up when his eyes connect with mine. I gradually relax and smile, taking a seat in the same leather chair I sat in before, but this time, for an entirely different reason.
He’s still fat, revealing a gut that hangs over his belt. His comb-over has come undone, with the once slick, brown hair plastered to the side of his head now hanging behind his ear. Chest hair is peeking out from underneath his shirt to show he’s part monkey, and two thick, gold chains hang around his neck, along with a large pinky ring on his right hand that he taps against the edge of his desk in irritation. The only person missing from this reunion of sorts is that fucker Caleb. It’s probably best he stayed away since I’d probably shove his fucking head up his ass.
“I just came by to give you this,” I disclose, dropping the envelope full of cash onto the desk.
“What’s this?” he scoffs, grabbing the envelope with his chubby hand. I stare past him, noticing the books lining his bookshelves that have never been read, but no pictures of loved ones or friends. There is nothing warm about this office; it just reeks of money and deceit. I don’t envy him or his cold, empty life.
“Something that you’ve been wanting for over a year,” I concede, watching him tear open the envelope and flipping through the wad of crisp, clean bills courtesy of Luke, my crazy ass roommate, in whom I owe my sanity. “It’s all there, and it’s real. So, we’re done here,” I confirm, prepared to get up and leave, but not before he answers that one question that’s been eating at me since Luke told me about him being in Boston.
“Well, damn, I never in my wildest dreams saw this coming. I’m not gonna ask where you got your hands on this kinda cash. I’m just glad that I don’t have to waste any more time with you.” He nods and smiles slightly, softening his hard features and loosening his tie as he continues to count the cash.
“This is the first time I have to agree with you,” I exclaim, standing at my full height and edging toward the door. “Can I ask you something?” I press.
“Shoot,” he replies, flicking me a guarded stare. “I’ve got nothing to hide.”
“Boston, you ever been up there?”
“You bet. No pun intended.” He guffaws, lighting a cigar and raising a shaggy eyebrow. “What did you think? I was looking to make some trouble with you?” He laughs again, recognizing the intent of my question.
“Yeah,” I reply, bemused.
“I asked around,” he says, taking a puff from his cigar and blowing the smoke in my direction. “Saw you a couple times around town with your lady friend. Elle, right?” he solicits, scratching his large, pasty forehead. The mere sound of him speaking her name puts me on edge.
“Yes,” I grit, clenching my jaw.
“I had bigger fish to fry on that visit,” he says, arrogantly. “I wagered a generous amount of money for those Red Sox to win it all. Tell your friend Luke thanks for the information.
“Sure,” I utter, breathing in a sigh of relief.
“Nice doing business with ya. I hope I see you on the field next year playing for the home team,” he boasts, still skimming through the piles of cash.
“You bet,” I toss over my shoulder, seeing the ties that bind us gradually unraveling, slipping and falling away.
I feel this growing sense of relief that my past that has been hounding me for way too long is finally going to stay in my past. Fuck, this feels good! All my demons and skeletons will finally be laid to rest. I stroll past Ben and Leon, nodding my farewell, but more like good riddance. I laugh to myself, thinking who would have thought I would be thanking Luke of all people for getting me out of this jam. Perhaps the sun and the moon were aligned just right when I got to Boston; first, finding Luke to be my roommate and second, finding Elle shortly after.
I pull my hair out of my chignon, remove my black blazer and kick off my heels. Taking a deep breath, I rest my head against the seat, relieved to get the difficult part of my visit out of the way. My interview went really well despite the fact that I lost a couple of hours of sleep last night because of Reed’s little surprise. After seeing the cuffs and rose petals scattered all over the bed, along with my tiny gift in the Victoria’s Secret bag, I got a second wind. Juju and Reed were in cahoots. She was the one who set up the room. She’s a sneaky one; that’s probably why we get along so well.
Texas is beautiful. It’s green, sprawling, and pristine. The beaming sun warms my skin as we make our way to Reed’s mom’s house. The air is clear and crisp, and the streets are filled with people moving and blending into each other.
“Doll?”
“Yes?” I tear my eyes away from the beautiful Texas landscape to connect with Reed’s simmering blue eyes. Smiling, he takes my hand and intertwines our fingers together tightly and
then returns his attention to the road.
“I have something to tell you,” he says as we turn onto Pine Street where his mother lives. I instantly take notice that there is something off in the tone of his voice. I’m slightly anxious and start twirling my hair. I know that he plans to meet with Jerry while he’s back home. He never told me when he was meeting him, but I hope when he does everything will be resolved and that part of his life will disappear.
My phone chirps, alerting me of a text. “Hold that thought,” I say, reaching into my bag for my phone.
“Fine,” he responds, shaking his head. I can see a nervous smile playing at the corner of his mouth. I notice it’s a text from Jace when I return my attention to my phone. I miss home and my family, and it’s only been two days. What am I going to do when I leave for months at a time?
Jace: Well, how’d it go?
Elle: I think I nailed it.
Jace: Of course... Texas, huh? ;(
Elle: I have not made a decision…yet. :/
Jace : Yeah…but the fact that u r there....
Elle: r u getting emotional on me?
Jace: A ‘lil. Gonna miss u on turkey day.* Sniff sniff*
Elle: I’ll make it up to u.
Jace: How?
Elle: I’ll think of something...
Jace: I miss u sis... be safe. BTW... call mom and dad.
Elle: Miss u too... and I will.
I smile as I hit Send.
“Who has you grinning so hard?” Reed asks, watching me out of the corner of his eye.
“Jace,” I breathe, blowing my hair up and out of my face as I put my phone away.
“Oh,” Reed answers with a grin. “How’s my new friend doing?”
“He’s falling apart without me,” I joke.
