“Thank you, Daxx.”
“No need to thank me,” he said and threaded his fingers into my hair, “Thank you for gifting me with that beauty, Jetta.”
“You’re hot. And sweet. And you seem like a good man. I’m not… I don’t do this sort of thing. But, vaccination or not, I’m glad I did this with you.” I snuggled in.
He was quiet.
“How long again since you’ve had sex with a woman?” I whispered, knowing the answer.
“More than four years,” he answered quietly.
“How was I?” I joked.
“Unparalleled,” he replied.
I giggled, “Probably not. I just broke a long dry spell for you, that’s all. But thanks for saying that.”
“No; you were incredible,” he gave me a squeeze, “How was I?”
I had to try to stop myself from telling him he was the best I’d ever had.
I failed.
“You were the best I’ve ever had.”
Now, why did I say that?
That got me a very affectionate squeeze, lips to my temple, and a contented sound that came from him.
Okay, so maybe it wasn’t so bad that I said that if it got that reaction. But seriously, he hadn’t had sex in four years and made me come three times before he had his orgasm. That was impressive.
Now, I’m not normally a snuggler. I typically roll away from a guy after sex, needing my space in order to fall asleep. My last boyfriend told me it was cold, that I was like a guy.
But, I fell asleep right on top of him. Comfortably. He was so big and warm and strong and comfortable and my eyes just closed and that was that. I was back out like a light.
***
I woke up and Daxx was still asleep under me. He was looking absolutely delicious. All sorts of skin, muscles.
Bare naked skin and muscles. Lots of both. I took a moment to appreciate his beauty. He was built as if he’d been painstakingly carved by an artist. He had me held close to him. As I attempted to roll away, his grip tightened and his eyes bolted open. He looked tweaked for a second.
“Have to pee,” I said.
“To what?”
“Pee. Go to the bathroom? Take a tinkle. You know, water the flowers?”
“Ah,” he replied, looking remarkably alert for someone who’d just woken up.
“I’m sure you guys have some slang that wouldn’t make sense in translation, too.”
He rubbed his eyes. He was super duper sexy in the morning.
I went to crawl out of the bed but then remembered I was naked.
“Uh…do you have a um robe or something?”
“Are you cold?”
“I just would rather not prance about your lovely boudoir here naked as a jaybird.”
He chuckled. “Why not? I’ve seen you naked in soft light but I’d love to see you naked in bright light and especially would like to see you prance about like any sort of bird. Except maybe a Terro-vulture. That wouldn’t be very nice.”
I giggled, “Get me a robe, big guy. And some coffee. Oh shit. Please tell me this planet has coffee!”
He looked at me strangely.
“Oh shit. No, no. NO! Please tell me paradise is not ruined! We need an emergency shuttle to Earth immediately. Fetch me some coffee and swing by my apartment so I can get my stuff while you’re at it!”
He shook his head at me, “We have coffee. I was fucking with you.”
I steeled myself against the shivers his voice gave me and relaxed, “Thank the lord. Coffee withdrawals? Not pretty on me. Now, can you get me a robe and possibly show me how to program that food replicator thingy when I get out of your washroom?”
“Absolutely not,” he looked offended, “I’d much rather you do the prance.”
“My dress must be mixed up somewhere in these blankets.” I reached.
“What dress? I know of no dress.” His face was full of mischief.
“Ah, we’re gonna play it that way? Where are your clothes? I’ll find a shirt or something myself.”
“Fourth door on the right.” He pointed and smiled.
“Avert your eyes,” I demanded.
He covered his eyes with his hands and then parted his fingers and got a huge smile on his face.
I snickered and dashed quickly, nakedly, to his closet and hit the door handle and opened it. It was empty.
“Uh oh,” I said, “It’s empty!”
He laughed, so full of boyish mischief.
I spun to face the bed with an arm across my breasts and my other hand blocking my Bermuda Triangle. “Are you playing a dirty trick on me, Daxx?”
“Definitely,” he admitted.
“I need clothes. And to pee.”
“And coffee,” he added.
“Yes!”
“Go do a pee. I’ll do the others.”
I pointed at him, “Dirty tricks get paid back, you know?”
He looked surprised, “You want me naked and prancing about the… what did you call it?”
“Boudoir.”
He shook his head with humor. I guess it didn’t translate. Or translated funny.
I remembered which door led to the bathroom and stuck my tongue out at him. I don’t think he’d ever had anyone do that before by the way he burst out laughing.
I looked at the hand towel. Not big enough to cover myself with. I hoped he wasn’t going to be a total perv and would find me something to wear.
The Clipboard Assholes had said that our new husbands would provide for us. I wondered if there was a way I could get them to give me some clothes and a place to stay while I figured this out.
I had to figure out how to figure this out. What would happen if I refused to marry? Would they arrest me? Force me? Daxx said his family was part of the festivities around this ‘matchmaking’ thing so maybe he would help me. Maybe he knew someone who could give me a job or something.
I had a pee and then the toilet cleaned me down there. I could get used to that. I wondered if there wase another bathroom with a shower nearby. This one had that fountain sink, the toilet, and vanity table with mirror and stool and that was it, though it was peculiarly large for a room with no shower or bath.
I got up and noted that I still felt him down there. He had been amazing. And it was no quickie, either, despite that he’d not been with anyone for four years. I’d had a 3-fer. Three orgasms back to back to back. It was the best I’d ever had. And maybe I wouldn’t mind getting me some more.
I washed my hands and moved my hair back to glance at my ear. That gem was now a pretty shade of baby blue. I smiled. I smiled because a) I wasn’t going to die from that flu and b) it was a really really nice way to break my dry spell, sex with Daxx.
But, I couldn’t get all foggy about him and his gorgeous green eyes, all those muscles, those skillful hands, and his huge space penis. I had to formulate a plan of what to do next about my predicament.
I was on another planet and I didn’t have any money, any place to go, and not a stitch of clothing other than the clothes I’d worn the day before, which must be tangled up in Daxx’s bed linens.
I wanted to wash my face and brush my teeth. I could never face the day properly until my teeth were brushed. I decided to go and ask him if he had a spare toothbrush so I could get that done and then think about the rest. I peeked out the door.
He was standing near it, smiling, holding out a plush powder pink robe.
I walked into it and shoved my arms in. It felt like cashmere. But so fluffy and soft that it felt even better.
“Oh, that’s lovely,” I told him with a smile, “this might be the fluffiest robe I’ve ever had on. And I would say chivalrous but after all you put me through, you’re a rogue, a rake.”
He gave me a beaming smile.
“Can I take a shower and do you have a spare toothbrush?”
He led me, his hand to the small of my back, back into the bathroom, and started hitting buttons on the panel by the toilet. I tried to be cool but I was fee
ling kind of shy around him all of a sudden. I tried hard to not look at him, not check out his beautiful body. He was wearing a pair of very nice-fitting dark pants and a t-shirt like shirt that fit quite snugly but looked like it was made of spandex. His feet were bare.
A glass door emerged from the wall, curving around as if pliable and sectioning off a corner, and jets emerged from the wall tiles.
“Wow!” I was astounded.
A huge rain showerhead descended from the ceiling. A small door opened, elevator door style, beside the sink, and there was an electric tooth brush, already ready with a perfect toothpaste commercial glob of toothpaste swirled perfectly on it and there was also a small bathtub plug-sized pink cake of soap, and a shiny silver hair brush.
“Magical!” I noted. A drain appeared in one of the tiles.
“It’s all things the house has been stocked with for guests. When we get home, we’ll have you choose your favorites. Anything else you need right now that I don’t have here?”
“Uh, what?” I asked.
“Let’s talk about that after your shower. Touch the panel and hit the green square in order to shut it off. I’ll get that coffee and some breakfast for us.” He backed away, looking hesitant, embarrassed, maybe.
Uh oh.
“Daxx?”
“I need to make a quick call, too. See you in a few minutes.”
“But wait. Home?”
“Get your shower and then we’ll talk.”
He left.
I approached the shower and the door opened. I got inside and it closed.
I had never had a better shower in my life. But I had a feeling that Daxx and me needed to get a few things straight. Home? Picking my favorite things? Did he not understand me last night? He seemed like he understood me.
Going home with him? No. I needed to find out if he’d instead help me get on my feet. Get back to Earth, if possible.
Too much to figure out. Gosh, I hoped he didn’t get so lost in my Bermuda Triangle that he never wanted to leave. I’d sit him down, tell him the score again, and figure out how to get him to help me, just temporarily until I could figure out what was next for me. For now, shower.
When I was finished in the shower, the best shower in the galaxy, I got dried off by that same shower. Every shower head turned into a high-powered dryer after I turned it off and I swear it was as if the dryer had injected a very fine mist of lotion at the end because my skin felt like absolute silk. And my hair was even dry. What a lovely invention. I put that pink plush robe back on.
There’d been a button on that toothbrush and it was supersonic and very vigorous but it turned off after about ten seconds. I turned it on, it turned back off. I headed back out of the bathroom, figuring, it was broken but my mouth felt clean enough. I wondered what else those panels that he’d pushed could do. This planet was seriously cool so far. It was beautiful, colorful, and felt clean and unpolluted. And the technology?
Now, I had to try the coffee and hopefully later, the space pizza. And only then would I know whether or not Phallyx was better than Earth.
My gym bag was on the floor outside the door. Daxx was doing something on a tablet computer sitting in one of the moss green chairs. The tablet looked larger than the one he’d had in his pocket. Maybe double an iPad’s size.
“My bag!” I exclaimed.
“They dropped it off,” he said, glancing at me. He motioned to the table beside him and there was a tall cobalt blue mug with a gold rim sat there.
“Got any sugar?”
“It’s prepared the way you like it, two sugars. I uploaded your specs. They were sent.” He put the tablet down.
“Specs?”
“Your preferences. There was information provided to me.” He pointed at his smaller calculator-sized tablet.
“What? Do they think---”
The expression on his face instantly told me exactly what they thought.
Fuck. He thought the same.
“The project office received the signal that you and I had consummated our… relationship… so I was sent the balance of your personal details as well as your belongings.”
“I think I need two or three gallons of coffee and then we need to sift through all that. As well as a few other things.” I sat on the chair beside him and took a sip of the coffee. It was good. Very good. Maybe even the best I’d ever drank. There was a dish of fruit there, too. I reached into it and got a strawberry the size of an apple. I took a bite and it was delicious but tasted more like a something between a grape and a peach. I examined it.
“Jetta,” he said softly.
I looked at him. His face was serious. As serious as a heart attack. My heart skipped a beat. I put the giant strawberry peach thing down.
“Now is the part of our story when I explain actions I’ve taken and you’ll get upset and from what I’ve seen, you’ll stomp your feet and shout at me.”
My heart sank and I swallowed.
“And then hopefully I win back your trust quickly and you forgive me and we … live ever happily thereafter, as they say on your planet.”
I didn’t bother correcting him. I waited for him to continue, but I knew what was coming. I could feel it. If I was being honest, I might have even felt it last night when we had that poignant moment when he was first about to thrust his cock into me.
“I…” he started and stopped and looked like he was measuring his words.
“We…” he began again and then winced, “I’m just going to say this, give you space to have the emotions I suspect you will need to have, and then we’ll move forward. Before I tell you what I need to tell you, I want you to know that I will do anything I can do to make your transition here easier for you. Anything I can do at all. And even if you’re angry with me and it takes time for you to forgive me; I’ll do anything in my power to help. I’m here. For you.”
“Just spit it out,” I demanded.
“On Phallyx, a law was passed after the infection killed our females that meant that sex equals a marriage. No other ceremony is necessary. It’s instant and unbreakable. This was done to protect women and ensure Phallyxian men were accountable. We’re married. You’re mine.
I also need to tell you now, getting all the truth in front of us, that Earth women cannot contract the infection that killed Phallyxian women from our environment. It doesn’t affect your kind at all because it’s something from your planet that you are already immune to. You did not need to be immunized last night by having sex with me.
That gem on your ear changed color not because you became immune but because you got married. To me. I let you believe that because I wanted to marry you. I’m not sorry that you’re mine but I am filled with remorse for abusing the trust you showed me last night.
You were all brought here and our men decided we would battle for you, take you, do what we felt we were entitled to do. This is a state of entitlement we’ve developed out of immense loss of our mothers, sisters, wives, and daughters, and nieces, because of Earth’s greed. I didn’t watch nor understand all of the video feeds that were available to me but suspect that none of you were told that part of the reason you’re here is that Earth is the reason we lost the women. Earth destroyed families by their actions and although we are a peaceful planet, we’ve been ruled by our desires and our grief in this matter. I was fueled, last night, only by my desire for you. I had to marry you otherwise risk that someone else would. I hope you know that other than last night and my omission of certain facts, you can always trust me, always count on me for anything that you need. As your husband, I will always do what is best for you. Even if you resist. And I made that decision last night knowing you would resist if I corrected your belief that we needed to fuck for you to stay alive. I was willing to do whatever I had to do in order to become your husband.”
He stopped speaking. He stared at me. Waiting. Bracing.
I blinked at him. And then I didn’t say a word. If I could help it, I was never going to say a word to
him again.
He waited a beat and then began speaking again,
“I have never felt about marriage or about a woman the way I feel about you,” he placed his hand over mine. I flinched and his hand tightened over mine, “I could attend dozens of receptions like the one yesterday to see what else is out there for me. There are five million women coming in the next three years and I’m a formidable opponent in sport, fencing, hand-to-hand combat, archery, the list goes on. I could best almost anyone in order to win a woman that I want. I didn’t even gaze upon any of the other women at the reception yesterday. I had zero desire to meet any of them. I had Treya try to throw herself at me half a dozen times, even presenting her naked body to me the last time I saw her. She’s an empty shell compared to you. I want no one but you. From the moment I saw the video streams with all of you, I only had eyes for you. I fought the urge to participate and compete yesterday because of what my father expected from me and feeling alarmed at the amount of emotion I felt for you based on watching you on those live feeds. But I took a walk and there you were. Fate. At my feet. I will never forsake you, Jetta. You are mine for the rest of our lives. Nothing, even you getting angry with me right now, will change that.”
I stared. It took everything I had, but I did my absolute best to hold my face completely expressionless. I didn’t let him see a single solitary thing but a blank slate even though I was feeling all sorts of things.
All sorts of things.
He stared.
He waited.
He was bracing for a temper tantrum, for tears, for something. He wasn’t getting anything. He frowned at me.
I calmly pulled my hand out from under his and I took a sip of my coffee.
He lifted his calculator thing and held it in front of me.
“Your heart is racing. Alarmingly so. Your blood pressure is very high. You’re surging with cortisol. You’re filled with flight and fight reactions. And yet you aren’t acting on them,” he observed, panic in his eyes.
I hated that he knew what was inside me at that moment. Hated that I couldn’t hide it because he had it on a screen. I leaned over and took the device from his hand. The screen had all kinds of weird symbols and two graphs.
