The sound she made was one of sheer pleasure as he hips thrust back to meet the invasion of his dick. Holy mackerel! If she did much more of that, he knew he wouldn’t last long enough to give her the orgasm she deserved. Determined to make her go off like a rocket before he found his release, he reached a hand between her body and the stall door, found her clit with the pad of his thumb, and manipulated it with pressured massage, all the while increasing the tempo of his dick as he pistoned it inside her pussy until she was screaming his name.

“Darryl! Darryl! I’m going to…Oh God, Darryl.”

He felt her body stiffen in his embrace, felt the inner muscles of her pussy turned to a vise around his dick, and experienced the force of her explosion right along with her as he lost control at the same time.

Breathless, spent, and damning himself for his lack of restraint, he collapsed against her and fought to breathe. A faint rustle managed to snag his attention. His forehead was resting on the back of Tamara’s shoulder, and he rolled his head toward the sound and opened his eyes. Seth was standing in the doorway of the stables, his arms crossed over his chest and a muscle ticking in his jaw. Darryl didn’t bother to wonder how long his oldest brother had been watching him and Tamara. However long it had been had obviously been long enough. He was pissed, but beneath that, Darryl saw a pain the man’s eyes he’d never seen in them before.

Seth didn’t meet Darryl’s gaze. His attention was solely focused on Tamara. “Looks like you’ve made your choice.”

Tamara gasped at the sound of Seth’s tight voice and jolted in Darryl’s embrace. “Seth! Oh shit. No, I—”

“Don’t bother, sweetheart,” Seth told her tightly before he spun on his heel and disappeared from the doorway.

“Shit. Shit. Shit!” Tamara repeated the world like a mantra, banging her forehead on the door to Roxy’s stall that was still half supporting her.

Darryl was still providing the other half of her support, and he wound his arms more tightly around her, drawing her even closer. “Tamara, give him some space, darlin’.”

She was already shaking her head and wriggling out of his embrace. “I have to go after him. I have to tell him I—”

“Haven’t made your choice.” Darryl released her and stepped back, giving her room to pull up her jeans and bend to scoop her bra and shirt off the stable floor.

What had he expected? For her to realize, after being pinned to a door for one quick fuck, that he was the only one she wanted after all? He’d done everything wrong just now. Of course she hadn’t changed her mind and decided he, alone, could give her everything she wanted and more.

She shoved her bra in the front pocket of her jeans and turned to him as she pulled her shirt over her head. “Darryl, you said you wouldn’t be able to walk away.”

Was that the only reason she’d given herself to him just now? To ensure she had him wrapped around her finger before she went in search of Seth and Colt?

Yes. Duh! He might be what many people tended to call a redneck, but he was a highly educated one that didn’t ask stupid questions aloud.

“I couldn’t walk away from you before,” he reminded her. “I damn sure can’t do it now.”

Relief washed through her angelic face as she reached for his hand. “Then come talk to Seth with me.”

Darryl shook his head. “You go after him. That promise I made you…I’ll keep it, but not tonight, Tamara.” He tightened his grip on her hand and tugged her closer, pulling her back into his arms. “I’m sorry I didn’t do better by you tonight.”

She blinked up at him, sheer confusion in her eyes. “What are you talking about?”

“I should’ve taken you in the house, taken you to my bedroom where I could spoil you properly instead of losing my mind out here.”

She framed his face with her hands and smiled. “Out here was perfect. As for the spoiling, now I have something else to look forward to.”

Darryl chuckled, mostly because he figured she expected him to. The last thing he really felt like doing right now was laugh. Still holding his gaze, she rose to her tiptoes and kissed him.

“Thank you, for more than you know.”

He knew exactly what she was thanking him for as she eased out of his embrace and headed for the door. He stared through the doorway for a long time even after she’d gone. He wouldn’t go back on his word. He couldn’t. He’d been honest about that. Now that he’d had her, he belonged to her more than he ever had before.

But she’ll never belong only to you.

His gaze dropped to the stable floor and landed on the tattered panties she’d left behind. He hadn’t bothered to discard the condom and pull up his jeans, yet. He did that now then snagged the panties off the ground and brought them to his nose.

They smelled of her, a hot, sweet arousal he knew had started with him that morning inside the rubble that had once been the Cowboy’s Den. He also knew it had continued with his brothers and the time she’d spent with them before coming to him and coming for him, right here in the stables.

At least you have a part of her.

He sighed, wadded the panties in his fist, and raked a hand through his hair. “Yeah, at least.”

  * * * *

Tamara heard an engine fire to life in front of the house, but by the time she made it around to the driveway, Seth’s truck was no longer there. She stared at the empty space for a long moment and followed the tracks he’d left in the yard when he’d driven straight through it because he hadn’t been able to back out with her car parked behind him. Her gaze landed next on her car. If she were really the smart woman she’d always thought herself to be, she would hop in that car right now, return to the city, and demand McGregor send someone else to finish the arson case here in Pleasure. Apparently, her IQ had dropped on the way to this town because what she did, instead, was turn and make her way back inside the Barlow house.

She found it deserted, or at least it seemed that way. She didn’t find anyone or hear any voices as she made her way down the halls, peeking into each room she passed. Colt had to be here somewhere, didn’t he? She doubted Seth had enough time to fetch his brother before he’d driven away.

And where was he going? Likely to blow off steam, but where did he go to do that? She would be willing to bet the Cowboy’s Den would’ve been his first stop before the fire. Would he still go there now?

She considered taking a drive to it herself as she climbed the stairs to the second floor. She nixed the idea when she reminded herself that, when she needed to blow off steam, the last thing she wanted was to be interrupted. She would give him his time, let him cool off, and talk to him when he returned.

Colt hadn’t told her which room on the second floor belonged to whom, and all the doors were closed. She stopped in front of the first, gave the wood a soft rap with her knuckles, and, when no voice answered from inside, dared to open the door anyway.

A large mirrored sign with the word Corvette stenciled at the top and pictures of the various body styles from the early fifties to today hung on the far wall and caught her attention first. That alone led her to the instant assumption that the room belonged to Darryl. Knowing he was likely still outside in the stables, she pushed the door open wider and stole a peek at his bed. He’d apologized for not bringing her to it instead of fucking her in the stables, and images of the two of them, their naked bodies tangled in the center of that bed in ecstasy, immediately filled her vision.

Juices pooled between her feminine folds, and she remembered she wasn’t wearing panties any longer. Darryl had destroyed that pair. She should probably stop by her assigned room when she got to it and find a replacement.

Quietly pulling his door closed, though there didn’t seem to be anyone around to hear if she’d slammed it, she moved down the hallway to the next closed room on the opposite side. She found that one to be not only empty of person but personal objects as well and guessed it to be another guestroom.

  She continued her exploration
, wondering if any of the Barlow brothers would care if they caught her snooping. She decided they probably wouldn’t. They had invited here, and their intentions hadn’t been to merely offer her a place to rest her head. She figured, if Seth had his way, she would probably never leave the walls of this house. She damn sure didn’t intend to ever give him his way on that but decided she deserved to see what was behind all the closed doors in any case.

The doors were offset, one on one side and another a few feet down on the other side. She zigzagged her way down the hall, determined to check out each of them. She found yet another empty room and a lavish bathroom. The next room was the one that gave her pause. Of the four she’d opened, all had been unlocked, but this one wasn’t.

“Do you want to see what’s inside?”

She startled at the question, jerked her hand from the knob, and whirled to find Colt leaning against the frame in the doorway of the room she would’ve gone to next. He wasn’t wearing a shirt. That was the second thing she noted after the glint of mixed amusement and mischief in his dark eyes. Holy hormones! The man’s bare chest was designed in a way that invited the general population of the world to bite him. She clenched her teeth on the urge to take it up on the offer as her gaze took it upon itself to fall lower. He was still in his jeans, and as her gaze lingered on his crotch, she could’ve sworn she watched his cock swell beneath the denim. His feet were bare, and as she forced her attention back up to his face, she saw he’d removed his cowboy hat, too.

She winced and glanced over her shoulder at the hall behind her. “I’ve been snooping,” she confessed, meeting his gaze again.

“It’s all right, sugar.” He straightened, and four long strides brought him standing in front of her. She heard him take a deep, audible breath and watched as one brow lifted and the amusement took over the mischief as the paramount emotion in his eyes. “That’s not all you’ve been doing. Seth or Darryl?”

Tamara felt her cheeks flame. Damn it! Now he was making her blush, too. He knew she’d recently had sex. She wasn’t sure why that surprised or even embarrassed her. He’d been able to smell her arousal in the truck on the way to Rescue Ranch that morning. Of course, he’d be able to smell the fact that she’d had an orgasm and hadn’t yet cleaned herself.

  “About that—”

“Seth or Darryl?” he repeated, adding a firmness to his tone that told her she wasn’t going to be able to avoid the question.

“Darryl. Seth, um, walked into the stables right after we were, um, finished. He’s gone now. I don’t know where he went.”

  “I wondered why we left.”

  “He’s pretty pissed.”

“And hurt too, I would reckon.”

“But he doesn’t need to be. Darryl isn’t going to fight it anymore.”

“He told you he’s willing to share you with me and Seth?”

Tamara nodded. “I don’t think it’s going to be easy on him, at least not at first, and I think he’s going to need some time to get it all figured out, but yes.”

“Are you telling me you’re ready to give yourself to me and Seth now, too, sugar?”

Her heart was hammering against her breastbone, and her mind was screaming at her in wonderment of the decision she was making, but her body knew exactly what she was doing. That racing organ in her chest did, too, even if it was afraid of the consequences. Going for broke, she nodded.

“I’ll let that slide this time, but from now on, when you’re asked a question by either of us, we expect a verbal answer. Do you understand?”

And there it was, the dominance Darryl hadn’t showed her in the stables but that she knew was inside him. Maybe not to the same magnitude as Colt and Seth, but it was in there. She’d seen it in Colt before, too, though he’d never used it on her except when he’d told her she would be staying at the Barlow house while she was in town. And Seth…He hadn’t yet truly wielded his dominance over her, but she knew his would be the sternest of all.

“I understand.” Her answer seemed to please Colt, and a newfound awareness awakened inside her. She really did want to please him. She wanted to please all three of them. She wasn’t sure how she was going to manage to pull that off and retain her career, keep herself, and her very soul, but she wanted to try. Why three men as gorgeous and wonderful and desirable as the Barlow brothers wanted to share her boggled her mind, but they had made it clear it was what they wanted. Now that she had gotten all three of them on the same wavelength, who was she put up a fight?

“Seth would insist we wait before allowing you beyond this door,” Colt told her as he fished in his front pocket and pulled out a set of keys. “He’s usually right, but with you, I think we should do things differently. I want to make sure you know what you’re getting yourself into.”

Tamara glanced at the door. “What’s in there? A shrine of photos papering the walls of the women the three of you have murdered over the years?”

He chuckled. She was glad he saw the humor in her horrible joke because that had been in her intention. “There’s about as many of them in there as there are pictures of properties we’ve owned and torched for the insurance money.”

She knew he was throwing a horrible joke back at her, but unlike him, she felt the need to reassure. “Colt, you, Seth, and Darryl are not even on my suspect list.” Which left her without a single name at all, but she was confident neither of them had started the fire at the Cowboy’s Den.

“Sugar, I know that. You don’t mix business with pleasure, remember? The fire at the Den is business, and believe me, I know if you thought for one second any of us were involved, you’d be the one to have our wrists in handcuffs.”

The way he worded that last part sent a shiver of equal parts anticipation and trepidation down her spine. She didn’t doubt she would eventually find herself in handcuffs, ropes, and shackles, and whatever else they had at their disposal. The thought of that had enough juices leaking from between her pussy lips to thoroughly soak the crotch of her jeans.

“Are you ready for me to show you what’s behind this door?”

His hand was already in front of the knob, the key inserted inside, and turned halfway. Tamara nodded and then, remembering what he’d told her, put voice to her answer. “Yes. I’m ready.”

Once again, she knew she’d pleased him, especially when he said, “You learn fast, sugar.” He lifted his free hand to the side of her face and cupped her cheek. “What I’m about to show you is our playroom. We keep it locked so that snoopers like you don’t come across it unawares. You’ll be spending a good bit of time in here.”

He paused, as if to let that sink in. It definitely did that. From her movie watching and book reading, she knew what dominant men called a playroom, even if she’d never stepped foot inside one. The sudden knowledge of what lay behind this door had every naughty erogenous zone in her body going from hot to cold and to superheated in a flash.

“You had sex with Darryl tonight. You probably realized he’s got a softer side. It’s the softest of the three of us. I fall somewhere in the middle. As for Seth…”

He couldn’t have given her a bigger clue to Seth’s level of dominance if he’d finished the statement. Not that she’d needed the hint. Even if Seth’s reputation hadn’t preceded him, she’d already picked up on that long ago, despite his careful attempts to keep it veiled around her.

  “I understand.”

That got her a pleased grin as he unlocked the knob, shoved the keys back in his front pocket, and pushed open the door. He reached a hand inside, flipped a switch, and then wound that arm around her waist. “Then I think it’s time for to you see for yourself.”

Tamara allowed him to use that hold on her waist to gently propel her into the room. She glanced around the space, her breath lodging in her throat, as she took it all in. It wasn’t anything like she would’ve imagined, nothing like the playrooms she’d seen in the movies she’d watched or envisioned from the descriptions in the books she’d read. The walls
were painted a sexy, siren red and an uncovered window allowed the moonlight to shine through. She’d expected the room to be black and windowless, to have the appearance and feel of a dungeon, rather than having the romantic, inviting ambiance that it held.

She figured, to a lot of women, the room would’ve lost that attractive feel when they saw its contents. She found the items to be incredibly arousing and to pique her curiosity as she studied the far wall, opposite the doorway she was standing in, which was lined with ceiling-to-floor shelves and laden with more toys than a sex shop. She felt her feet move on their own accord as she stepped out of Colt’s embrace and moved closer to those shelves. She saw dildos and vibratos in various sizes, nipple and pussy clamps, paddles made in different sizes and of different materials, whips, plugs of various sizes, and other items she couldn’t identify.

She turned to her right and stared at that wall for a moment. Four metal rings, two up high and two near the floor, were attached to the sheetrock. She guessed those were used to bind submissives, submissives like her. Tearing her gaze from them, as vixen needs came to life inside her, she spotted what appeared to be some kind of swing hanging from chains and more metal rings, these attached to the ceiling. Behind her was quite possibly the largest bed she’d ever seen with leather straps hooked to the headboard and more stretching from the footboard.

  “What are you thinking?”

Colt’s soft drawl had her spinning around to meet his gaze. She immediately wished she hadn’t. The heat in his eyes rivaled that unfolding inside her. She shook her head, unwilling to tell him the thoughts that were going through her mind. Things like how she was picturing herself bound naked to that bed with him and his brothers around her. Things like how she wanted to find out how that swing thing worked and what they would do to her once she was inside it.

“Tamara.” The firmness in his tone turned her name into a warning. “What did I tell you about nonverbal responses before we came in here?”
