Taming the Dragon (Loved by the Dragon, #3)

Marcy blinked up at him. “That’s beautiful,” she murmured. The blue morpho lifted off and fluttered high into the canopy. She watched it go, wearing a quiet smile on her face.

The peace was short-lived. Marcy didn’t realize Kekoa was behind them until he spoke up. “Master, I have brought drinks. Also, a phone call for you has come from Galway’s lawyers regarding the theft—”

With a startled shriek, the feisty brunette leapt into the bushes and out of sight, her big breasts quivering every second of her frantic effort to take shelter from Kekoa’s eyes. She leaned her head out from behind a wide tree to find the shifter and her dragon staring at her, peculiar expressions on their handsome faces.

“Señorita, are you well?” Kekoa asked. He held a pair of glasses in his hand, filled with a colorful, tropical concoction of some kind.

“I’m perfectly fine,” she gritted out between her teeth.

Kekoa and Teo spoke at length about criminal charges until the servant collected the necessary information. Once he was gone, the dragon turned to face her and offer a glass.

“Why did you hide when my attendant arrived?” The genuine curiosity in his tone prompted Marcy to peer at him with mirrored confusion.

  “Because I’m naked.”

“As am I. What does it matter?”

“It matters because I. Am. Naked.” Marcy ground out. “I’m not sure if the rest of your dragon buddies failed to tell you this, but most of us people don’t wander around freely without a stitch of clothing on.”

Marcy grabbed her dress and hurried down the path back toward the house, Teo hot on her heels.

“My island is completely private. Kekoa and I are the only ones here who can see you.” The point flew over his head. In a way, it was almost adorable that he didn’t grasp the problem with their situation.

She didn’t stop until she reached his bedroom and the privacy it offered. She took a long sip from her fruity drink before she turned around and faced her wary, bewildered dragon.

“I do not understand the issue.”

Marcy sighed. “Look, let me make this crystal clear for you. I’ve agreed to let you see me naked. Not your help, no matter how cute he is.”

The corner of Teo’s mouth twitched, threatening to rise into an actual smile. “You think Kekoa is cute.”

“Don’t you change the subject.” Marcy poked him in his chest to punctuate her words, only to lay her palm flat against his chiseled pectoral muscle. She stroked him afterward and slid her fingers down to his abs. Why was he so irresistible?

Teo frowned. “My apologies, Marceline. Kekoa is accustomed to bringing refreshments before or during—”

“You have your attendant bring you drinks and snacks while you’re fucking?” Marcy asked incredulously.

“Executive meetings,” Teo finished. An awkward air hung between them, as heavy as the leaden lump forming in Marcy’s belly. “I have never indulged in this home.”

The quiet deafened her, an awkward lull severing what could have been playful conversation. “You will now.” Marcy eased the tropical cocktail from his hand and took a deliberately long drink. “Do you trust me?” she asked.

Teo’s silence provided the only answer she needed. Marcy’s elation popped.

“Right. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised,” she sighed. Why had she agreed to come?

“If I did not trust you, would I bring you to my home?” he asked evenly. She picked out a hint of strain to his voice, something unfamiliar.

No, it wasn’t unfamiliar. It was pain. She’d hurt his feelings.

“Teo, I’m sorry. I’m not being fair to you,” she murmured. “I haven’t been fair since we arrived.”

He grunted and declined to respond again.

  “Let’s play a game.”

Her challenge piqued his curiosity. “Do you wish to play cards? Chess?”

Teo’s ignorance made Marcy giggle. “Not that sort of game.”

“Then what do you wish to play?”

“The kind of game where you do everything I tell you to do,” she clarified, flashing him an impish smile. “Which is why I asked if you trust me.”

Teo eyed her with skepticism. “It does not resemble any game I’ve played, but I will acquiesce.”

  “Good. Now, go lay down.”

He did as she requested, though a frown furrowed his brow as he played along. His willingness to humor her counted in his favor.

Marcy knelt beside him on the mattress, and with a bit of leather, she secured Teo’s wrists above his head. Even tied to the bed, the regal presence about him never faded.

“I could snap these cords at any time,” Teo muttered. He glanced to the left and right at the leather binding his wrists to the headboard.

Without a stitch of clothing on him, Marcy returned to her original assessment of Teo, the one she’d made years ago during their first meeting. He looked like an Aztec warrior, his body built with strong sinew and muscle beneath flawless golden brown skin. His dark hair fanned against the pillow behind his head, sleek and smooth as silk.

“Do that and I’ll just have to put my clothes back on and leave.” Teo appeared torn between obedience and rebellion. The tension left his muscles as she circled his left nipple with the tip of her finger. “Much better. You can surrender a little of your control to me, can’t you?”

“I want to be inside you.”

“And you will be, very very soon,” Marcy promised. She craved the way he filled her pussy, stretching her just right. “You have one job, Teo. If you break those leather cords, our game is over. If you’re good...” She dipped her head and traced her tongue over his swollen length. When she reached the tip, she circled the smooth head. He shuddered and tensed anew. “I’ll reward you.”

“You are a vixen,” he accused.

“Your vixen,” she replied. Teasing Teo became her favorite game, a finely balanced line of exploring his body and denying her own desires. Once Marcy suppressed the craving to have him inside her, she straddled his thighs and placed her lips against his taut abdomen. Her fingers danced over his skin, tracing the dark treasure trail dividing his chiseled abs until she reached the silky black triangle surrounding his cock. It twitched in anticipation.

“I want to learn something new about you, Teo. Tell me something you want. Something you’ve had on your mind,” Marcy whispered. Bent above him, her worshipful pose placed her lips in the perfect place to seal at the base of his shaft. She teased the eager thump of his pulse then kissed his heavy balls.

  He released an unintelligible moan.

“Tell me,” she insisted. Her fingers skimmed his cock, finding him as rock hard and ready as she remembered. She pumped him twice in her fist and chuckled when he began fucking her hand. She released him. “Tsk, I didn’t say you were allowed to move.”

  “Marcy—”

“You’re being a very bad dragon. I think you want me to go back to the main island.”

“No,” he groaned up to her. His belly tensed and sweat beaded his brow. Her tortured lover was at her mercy, the difficult past long behind them.

I tamed a dragon, Marcy thought, fascinated by the longing in her lover’s expression. “There has to be something you’ve wanted.”

“I’ve wanted... I want you to take me in your mouth,” Teo pleaded.

“Is that your wish?” she teased, emulating his speech.

  “Yes!” he shouted. “Please.”

The word “please” from Teo’s lips became the sexiest word to ever grace her ears. She shivered in delight and dipped her head again, bringing his cock within reach of her mouth. With her fingers around the base, she angled him toward her lips and glided her tongue over the veined underside.

Just when Teo’s body rippled with tension and threatened to break the cords, her lips parted to take the soft tip between them. Her tongue circled his crown, teasing a droplet of precum from his slit. One inch at a time, she took his majestic dick until half its length disappear
ed. She slid off of him with a noisy pop.

“I want to touch you,” he groaned. “I want to touch you and m—”

“Fuck me,” she breathed down to him. “Humans don’t mate, Teo. Say it.”

Marcy teased her lips over his sensitive tip again, drawing a shudder from his body. “No. I want to... I want to make love to you,” Teo breathed.

The unexpected admission stung Marcy’s eyes with tears. “I want the same.”

  “Then untie me.”

  “Not yet. Soon,” she promised.

After Marcy rolled the condom over his cock, she lowered her body into place, allowing him to fill her in slow increments. The sensation of being stretched felt as wonderfully delicious as their first time.

“Marceline,” he groaned. “I need to touch you. Free me from these bonds.”

  “Snap them,” she ordered.

Teo popped the bindings and took ahold of her hips. She remained atop him in the dominant position, but his fingers curled over her brown skin and secured her in place. They moved together, and within seconds, found their frenzied rhythm. Marcy bounced atop his pelvis, plunging his dick in and out.

“Stop, stop,” he gasped, holding her in a white knuckled grip. Marcy froze atop him and leaned forward on her elbows. Smoldering green eyes gazed back at her when she kissed his lips.

  “What’s wrong?”

“I am... not ready to finish.”

While Teo recuperated and came down from the approach of his early climax, Marcy traced her fingers over his smooth pecs. He touched her in return, curious and even delighted as he squeezed one full breast in his hand.

“Slower,” he murmured against her nipple. “I wish to savor every minute.”

The rest of their time passed as a sensual haze. They didn’t fuck; they made love sweetly, slow, dragging out each thrust until they reached their limit. Marcy came first when the inquisitive dragon’s thumb sought her clit, rubbing her until orgasm clenched her pussy tight around his dick.

Teo loosed an unintelligible moan and held her tight. Every muscle stood out in sharp definition as he tensed and ground against her. They both sank to the sheets in a sweaty heap of tangled limbs.

“Holy shit,” she gasped when she had enough breath. “That was amazing.”

  “Were you not pleased before?”

“Mmm. No, I was plenty pleased, but you did some new stuff this time around.”

“I learned from videos,” he confessed. “I wanted to be pleasing to you, so I watched many.”

Marcy erupted into a fit of giggles.

  “You find me amusing?”

“I find the idea of you watching pornos in your private movie theatre amusing. I find you—” She dipped forward and kissed him. “—Impossibly sexy.”

“Then let me show you more,” he whispered, a husky promise.

Marcy gladly offered herself up as his captive audience.

  ***

Marcy stirred to the sound of Teo returning to the bedroom with a tray. He served her midnight breakfast in bed, her meal beneath a silver cover. He’d also poured her a tall glass of OJ and provided a small dish of sweet jam.

  “What’s all this?”

“I wanted to surprise you,” the proud dragon informed her. “You were asleep, and Kekoa is not here to cook our dinner. I dismissed him to act in my stead regarding a few matters. We understood it brought you discomfort to roam nude while he was present.”

Sweet! Finally, a man who can cook. Matt had dismal luck in the kitchen, and the boyfriend before him had talent he was too lazy to share. Teo’s eagerness to provide for her touched Marcy deeply.

She raised away the silver lid to inspect the contents of her plate. Undercooked scrambled eggs sat beside oily French toast. The bacon was almost raw, crispy in the middle and white at the ends, drowning in its own grease.

She didn’t smell cinnamon under the pool of maple syrup drowning everything. In fact, she thought she smelled garlic. Teo’s earnest expression prompted her to try a mouthful of toast.

Oh my God. It’s awful. Do I taste Worcestershire sauce?

Marcy struggled to keep the unappetizing bite of food in her mouth and chewed until her eyes watered. Defeated, she spit it all into her napkin. Only a masochist could have swallowed it down.

Teo’s smile faded. “What is wrong?”

“What did you put in this?”

“Kekoa told me garlic is good on everything.”

“Not on French toast, baby. No.” One look at his crestfallen expression encouraged her to try the eggs. They were saltier than the ocean. “Ugh, no.”

“But Chloe says my eggs are good.”

  “Chloe lied.”

  “But her plate was clean.”

“Teo, baby, I am pretty sure she dumped her plate when your back was turned.”

His downtrodden features reminded her of a sad puppy. Even pouting he was adorable.

“Hand me my robe, sweetie?” Her sulky dragon handed her the requested garment and she donned it before heading into the kitchen. Marcy emptied the unsalvageable mess of eggs and bacon into the trash then she helped herself to his fridge.

“Come here,” she called him. “You don’t watch what Kekoa does in the kitchen, do you?”

“I have never had reason to learn.” Teo eased into place beside her.

“Then you’ll watch me today. Thank you for cooking for me. I do appreciate it greatly, but you’re going to learn the right way now.” Her kiss to his forlorn face, sweet and brief as it was, restored some of the enthusiasm she’d stolen with her honesty.

  “You are welcome, my love.”

Once she spread fresh bacon over the broiler pan and placed it in the oven, she whipped eggs, milk, sugar, and cinnamon into a bowl for the French toast. She walked him step by step, both surprised and pleased with how easily Teo took instructions.

“What you use to season one meal doesn’t necessarily season another, okay? What you put on the toast would have been great for say, a burger or a steak.”

Teo surprised her the next day with another meal, a perfected clone of his failed attempt. He did it again for dinner when he served perfectly seared steaks and baked potatoes loaded with cheese. The contrast between meals confused her until Teo confessed he’d overheard her lamenting Kekoa’s absence over the phone to Chloe.

“How the hell did you learn to make steak when I had to teach you to cook eggs and toast?”

  “I watched Food Network.”

“Let me get this straight. You watched porn, but you never watched a cooking show until now... and you did so because you overheard me telling Chloe I’m starved?”

“I have never needed to cook for anyone until now.”

“Yeah, well, as quick as you pick things up I think I may have to sit you down for a Food Network marathon. You’ll out-cook them all in no time.”

The smile Marcy had come to love returned to his proud features.

And then she realized it wasn’t only his smile she’d fallen in love with.

  Chapter 10

The days passed in bliss and passion, establishing a deeper friendship where there had been only lust before. They snorkeled in the crystal blue water, cooked together, and spent every night wrapped in each other’s arms.

At the end of their first week together, Marcy phoned her boss in Texas. She couldn’t tear herself away from Teo to return the plain world of finances and numbers.

“Marcy, is everything okay? Are you well?” Howard’s concerned voice filled her with guilt.

“I’m not hurt or sick. I’m just...” Marcy glanced toward the prowling jaguar at the edge of the veranda. One of Teo’s juveniles crept out and crawled onto the lounger to join her. “I’m still in the islands. I’ve never lied to you, and I won’t now. I met someone very special while here so I’m not sure if I’ll return in a week.”

  “A man?”

Marcy glanced at Teo. He sprawled beside her with a magazine in his hands, researching resorts
around the world. If he paid attention to her end of the conversation, he didn’t show it. “Yes,” she replied.

“Marcy, please be careful, sweetheart. So many things happen to young girls vacationing away from home these days, especially when strange men are involved,” Howard fussed, a perpetual father figure who looked out for her more than her actual dad.

“I met him a few years ago, but we’re just getting acquainted for real this time,” she assured him. “Do you remember my best friend Chloe?”

“How could I forget Chloe? What a wonderful girl.”

“Well, I met him through her husband. They’re best pals.”

  “Ah, I see.”

“He owns the island and the resort,” Marcy added quickly.

Howard choked. She imagined him in the midst of a brandy sip. “He certainly sounds successful, Marcy. I am happy for you. Please, take as long as you need. I meant it when I told you to do what was best for you.”

“Thanks. I appreciate it, Howard.” Marcy took in a deep breath and slowly released it. “Lately, I’m feeling like I should start my own business as a financial consultant. It’s possible I won’t be coming back to the company at all, and I thought you deserved to know.”

“I feared you might say that. I’ll begin to conduct interviews for your position while hoping it won’t be necessary. Take care of yourself, Marcy. You’re more than my employee. You’re a friend.”

“Thanks, Howard.” Ouch. I guess Katie isn’t working out after all. So much for her claims about being able to do my work standing on her head.

Clad in only a thin silk robe, Marcy crawled onto Teo’s lap and straddled him. When out of the office, he devoted his free time to a lazy lifestyle of books and socializing with the animals near his home. She also learned of his nocturnal lifestyle, meaning their days of activity weren’t natural. As they spent time together, her dragon grew lazier and more exhausted during the mornings.

“What would you like to do today, Marceline?” he asked.

“You don’t have to do this for me. If you’d rather sleep, I can wait until the afternoon when you’re more coherent.”
