I felt a numbness roll over me. I shook my head and looked at Mr. Demarco quizzically, “I thought I heard you say I was going to Europe?”

Wearing a big smile, Tony handed me two other objects. He said, “I did indeed, sweetie. Here’s a passport and a non-drivers drivers license. You won’t believe the strings I had to pull to get those in such short notice.”

I was shocked and stunned. I took the book and license from Tony and just stared at them. I wondered just how legal they were. “Thank you! I mean, thank you so much! But, but but… why am I going?”

Looking serious for a moment, Tony said, “Well that’s what all this is about. In the movie Nathan is filming in Europe, there is a female character who has about three or so scenes before her character is killed off. It’s a speaking role. Anyway, the actress slated for that role broke her ankle and her agent has requested we let her out of her contract. The director, the great and wondrous Hugo Van Pompous-ass… or well, that should be his name. Anyway, he refuses to work with completely amateur actors. So now you have… or will have, screen time and with lines!”

I still felt overwhelmed. “Not to sound ungrateful or anything. But why use me? There must be plenty of actresses who are far more capable than me and like already in Europe, who could take this role.”

Tony got up out of his chair and walked around to the front of his desk. “Oh there are. But there’s a method to my madness. The role is a bit part and will only pay scale. But this is the main thing. There are a ton of modeling opportunities over there while Nathan’s movie is in production. Television commercials for the European markets, magazine modeling, even billboards. Since the catalog modeling you did, I’ve been getting several calls from advertising agencies wanting to hire you. It’s a tremendous opportunity for exposure. And you get to be with Nathan, which I thought was a good selling point for you.”

I sat there for a few moments, stunned, trying to let all this filter in. I looked up at Tony, “And, you rake in a ton of money from all this.”

Mr. Demarco shrugged expansively, “Hey. I gotta eat, right? Do you think it was easy getting you a passport under the table?”

“I’m not being critical, Mr. Demarco,” I said honestly. “I’m just commenting on your motivation.”

Tony smiled, “And that’s not all. I’m going to need someone locally to manage my assets, meaning you and Nathan, while you’re over there. So, I’m sending Stephanie along with you.”

“Oh my God, Daddy!” squealed Steph. “Are you serious? For reals?” Steph jumped up and gave her dad a big hug.

Grinning broadly, Tony said, “Absolutely I’m serious! Hey, but listen. Don’t tell Nathan about this until after the Oscars. He has enough on his mind as it is.”

“Is this the right school?” I asked Stephanie as we drove into the parking lot.

She shrugged, “It’s the right address. Look, over there. There’s a van and some folks milling around. Must be Gunter!”

Steph drove her car to the other side of the van and parked. As we got out of her car, Mr. Dietz came running up to us.

“Miss Johnson, you’re here,” said Gunter with a horrific grin. “Gut, gut. The light is perfect, so hurry to the van for a costume change and make-up, bitte.”

Inside the van was a clothes rack with quite a few different pieces of clothes on it, both male and female. Crammed into the middle of the van was a grizzled older blonde woman with a cigarette dangling from her mouth and sitting on a small rickety chair next to a table with various jars of some kinds of stuff.

“Setzen Sie sich, bitte,” said the woman in a gravelly voice while pointing at a similar but empty rickety chair on the other side of the table. I had no idea what she just said to me, but her gesture was obvious.

The woman then stood slightly hunched over and started going through the rack of clothes. She pulled a short blue dress from the rack, eyed it for a second, and then eyed me for a few seconds. She grinned to herself as she placed the dress on the table.

She pointed to the front of the van. I saw where there was a curtain that could be pulled to provide some privacy for changing clothes. The woman said, “Setzen Sie auf diese.” I smiled slightly at her, picked up the dress and went up front. The dress looked like it’d fit.

I quickly stepped out of my jeans and top and slipped the blue dress over my head. Everything should be secure, but I didn’t want anything flopping out. I handed my clothes to Steph as I came out from behind the curtain for safe keeping. The woman once again pointed at the chair.

The un-named woman read something from a note card lying on the table, looked at me and read more of the note. She rummaged around the items on the table. She finally picked up a large make-up brush and rubbed it on a compact before dusting my face with it.

As she picked up a lipstick brush and started rubbing it in a small jar of lipstick, an absolutely gorgeous blonde woman with legs that went all the way up stuck her head in the van and said, “Herr Dietz sagte zu beeilen. Wir das Licht zu verlieren.”

The older woman waved the lipstick brush in the air as she said in a frustrated voice, “Ja, ja! Halten Sie Ihr Höschen auf.” As she brought the brush to my lips, I knitted my brow worried about just how many other lips that brush has been on. Next came some heavy mascara. I hoped it was relatively new.

The woman then made an obvious shooing motion and I got up and hopped down from the back of the van.

Mr. Dietz came running up and said, “Frauline, you’re ready. Gut. Here’s what I want you to do. See where we have the camera set up by the school’s entrance? I want you to stand there, and when I say, ‘Action!’, I want you to look to your right, raise your arms in fear and say your line. Can you handle that?” I nodded.

I walked over to the front of the school. There was a tripod mounted Panaflex camera, a guy standing next to it and another guy wearing headphones and holding a microphone on a long boom. Mr. Dietz stood behind the camera and looked through it. He smiled and indicated the camera operator get ready.

Gunter raised his arm and said, “Everyone quiet. Ready. Roll camera.”

  The sound guy said, “Speed.”

  Gunter said, “Slate!”

Another guy ran out in between me and the camera with the clap board and said as he slapped the board down, “Teen Angst in the City, scene twenty-seven.”

Gunter pointed at me. “And… action!”

I looked over to my right and brought up my arms like I was seeing something frightful. Actually, all I had to use for that inspiration was Gunter’s smile. I said, “Holy shit! This can’t be real!”

Gunter said, “Keep rolling. Miss Johnson, do it one more time with more feeling.”

Trying to give it more feeling, I duplicated my arm movements and said again, “Holy shit! This can’t be real!”

Mr. Dietz, looking excited said, “Cut! Print. That was perfect, Frauline! You can hang around if you wish, but that’s all for you. Herr Demarco will handle your salary. Vielen Dank.”

I said, “Thank you, Mr. Dietz for this opportunity.”

Mr. Dietz just waved and started talking to the leggy blonde chick.

Steph said, “Let’s go, Amber. We’ll be lucky if this movie shows up on Adult Swim or something.” We headed back towards the van so I could change clothes.

I watched Steph head off down the drive way before I entered our… I mean Nate’s house. That’s crazy. I have only been Nathan’s so-called girlfriend for only a few short weeks, and I really do feel like we’re a couple. I just stood there for a minute, wondering how I, just some nerdy guy from Abilene Texas, that nobody ever notices, to walking arm in arm down the red carpet with Nathan Adams on Hollywood’s biggest night.

I walked into the house and was surprised to see Nate, sitting on the couch, the TV turned off, a bottle of Jack Daniels on the end table and him holding a glass that was almost empty. I’d never seen Nate drink hard liquor before.

  N
ate looked up when I closed the door, “Hey, babe. Come sit next to me.” He patted the couch next to him. He didn’t sound drunk or anything. I plopped my butt down next to him and he put his free arm around my shoulder. He bent down and kissed me. I could smell the alcohol.

“I didn’t see you all day,” He said as he played with my hair. “What have you been up to?”

I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to mention the movie scene yet, so I just said, “Just hanging out with Steph.”

Nate laughed and said, “Man. You girls can spend more time doing absolutely nothing more than anyone I know. Quite a bit different from what you used to do, right?”

I smiled. “Well, there’re a lot of things I do now that I never used to do.”

Looking serious, Nathan asked, “Do you like that?”

I looked at the floor for a second. “I have to say I do, Nate. I really do. And one of those things is being here with you.”

Nathan smiled and kissed me again. Longer this time.

I said, “I’m surprised you’re not getting ready to go partying on this Saturday night before the big night.”

Nate shook his head and studied the floor for a moment. He said, “Way too nervous. No, really. I just wanted to sit here and chill with my best friend…” He held up the bottle of Jack Daniels. Continuing he said, “… well, okay my two best friends now.” He kissed my forehead.

I pulled the bottle from his hand and set it on the table. I said, “Well, I think you’ve probably seen enough of this friend for a while.”

Nathan looked a bit angry at me. “Wow. You really are a woman, aren’t you? Telling me who my friends can be and if I can drink or not. That bitch Sharon used to try to boss me around too.”

The last thing I wanted was a fight with a man on the verge of being drunk. I smiled weakly, “I’m not trying to boss you, honey. I just don’t want to share your attention.”

Nathan grinned at me and then bent down and kissed me again, harder than before with his hand firmly on my breast. He kissed and fondled me for another minute. Suddenly he stopped and stood up.

Nate announced, “Sorry. I gotta pee really bad.” He then hurried off to the bathroom. I just sat there frowning at the floor. That was a definite mood killer.

I got up and took the bottle of Jack Daniels and Nate’s empty glass to the kitchen. I had no idea where he kept this stuff. I walked back to the couch and turned the TV on and changed the channel to Entertainment This Week.

The woman on the screen said, “… with excitement higher for this year’s Oscars than in recent years. Two of the nominees for Best Actor are big fan favorites with Nathan Adams being the most likely to win the Oscar. But no one is counting out the other big Oscar contender, Tommy Kincaid. Kincaid’s role as a lovelorn college student in the John Landis thriller, ‘I’ll See You Next Wednesday’ is considered his best performance yet.”

“That’s right, Mary,” said the male co-host, Brian something. “What’s also interesting is the girlfriends of both actors are famous, independent women in their own right. Michelle Grayson who is dating Mr. Kincaid is a double-platinum cross-over recording artist, while Amber Johnson is an international fashion model who later this month will be hitting the runways in Paris. Later tonight…”

I quickly turned off the TV. Several thoughts fought for attention in my brain. I was so glad Nate didn’t see that comment of me in Paris. Did he say “runways in Paris”? Runway? Really? What was Tony thinking. I’ve never done runway modeling. I thought it was just some photo shoots.

Nathan returned from the bathroom. He plopped down next to me, looked at the now empty end table, shrugged and turned back to me. He said, “Anything good on TV? Why did you turn it off?”

I just moved closer to Nathan. “No. Nothing on at all.” I looked around the spacious living room. “Where’s Mom? Did she go somewhere?”

Nathan shook his head, “No. She had a headache and went to bed. It’s going to be a long day tomorrow and she wanted to make sure she was rested.”

I nodded with understanding. “That’s probably a good idea.”

Running his fingers through my hair, Nathan said, “It’s still a bit too early for me.” He leaned closer to me and lightly touched my cheek. He slid his large hand behind my head and bent down to kiss me again. The kiss started off gentle. We both closed our eyes as his kiss built up passion. I moaned with pleasure from Nate’s kneading my breast. I wished that I had gotten breasts earlier in my life.

Nate pulled away and smiled at me. He then did something that took me completely by surprise. He stood up, bent down and picked me up in his arms. I slid an arm around his neck and kissed his cheek. I never really knew Nate was so strong. Without making any wise-cracks about how I needed to go on a diet, Nathan carried me upstairs and laid me gently on his bed. He lay down next to me and kissed me deeply. He sat up and pulled off his shirt. I slid my fingers down his muscled chest. He then pulled my top off, straddled me and massaged my breasts through my bra for a few moments. His belt in reach, I unfastened it and unbuttoned his pants.

I know this wasn’t Nate’s first trip around the block, but I was still shocked at how easily and quickly he unsnapped my bra and removed it. Nate kicked his pants off and I slid his underwear down his legs. I have to admit, I didn’t understand my thinking. I always considered myself a straight guy, only looking at girls. But looking at Nathan’s muscled chest and his cock, hard for me, was driving me crazy with desire.

Nate slid his swollen member between my breasts. I squeezed my breasts against it and I could see on Nathan’s face he was enjoying it. I never thought I’d find myself entertaining Nathan’s rather well endowed penis between my own breasts. This was so insane. I shouldn’t, but I felt so turned on. My nipples were getting very hard. I found myself giggling.

Nate pulled away from my boobs and brought himself up on his knees, straddling my torso. His huge cock now dangling in front of my face. Nathan was just reacting as a man with a girl, but there was no way in hell I was putting that thing in my mouth. Looking up so I could watch his face, I grabbed Nathan’s very hard cock with both hands and began to slowly jerk him off. At least this was something I could relate to while providing my boyfriend pleasure.

Boyfriend. The word shook me to the core. After tonight, there’d be no more pretending. Nathan was my boyfriend. It was so hard to push the thought seriously through my head, but I was his… I was his… oh my God. I was Nate’s girlfriend. And on some cosmic level, we were having sex. I watched Nathan’s face. His eyes closed and he bit his lower lip as he groaned and moaned. I wrapped my fingers tighter around his stiff cock and slid them up and down his shaft.

I felt dirty and excited at the same time. My emotions were in a whorl. As Nate’s breathing became shallower and faster, I thought back to when we were both just boys and I had such a crush on him. How it felt normal and wrong simultaneously. Nate grabbed a handful of my hair and pulled as his face looked stressed and strained. I slid my fingers up and down his penis faster.

Suddenly Nathan belched a huge moan, his cock twitched and a stream of his semen found its way in my hair, my cheek, in my mouth and on my breasts. It took me completely by surprise. I reflexively licked the semen from my lips putting more in my mouth. It was on my fingers. I swallowed when I meant to spit. I gagged for a moment when I realized that I had actually swallowed sperm. His cum continued to pulse out of his cock for a few more moments. While I hated the taste, in trying to be sexy for my man, I licked my finger and we grinned at each other.

Nate pushed me back onto the bed as he laid across me, pushing my stiff nipples into his chest. He kissed me with intense passion. He slid his tongue deep into my mouth and I sucked on it. My emotions were off the scale. I was breathing hard, shallow breaths. The whole world narrowed down to just Nate and me. Nothing else existed. I had never felt this way about anyone, much less a man.

Nathan pulled back and just stared into my eyes. He looked away for a moment, the
n back to me. He slid his hand into my hair and a look of determination clouded his perfect, handsome face. He said, “I love you, Amber.”

I smiled at him and said in a breathy whisper, “I love you too, Nathan.”

His lips pressed against mine again, but more gently this time. He kissed me softly. Almost casually. I gently ran my fingers down his cheek as we kissed. You don’t always recognize a defining moment in your life. But this was one. I crossed over a line and there was no going back.

I’m a girl. And I’m in love with my boyfriend.

  * * *

When I awoke, I was clutching Nathan’s pillow. I stretched luxuriously in the sheets on Nate’s bed. My pants were gone, but my panties were still on and my ass wasn’t on fire, so I knew we didn’t do anything I don’t remember doing. Nate wasn’t in the bed, but the warm glow I still felt from the night before was. I closed my eyes again, smiled and pulled the pillow closer to me. I breathed in his scent from the pillow.

I rolled over and looked with one bleary eye at the alarm clock. It was almost ten minutes past eleven o’clock. I suddenly sat bolt upright in the bed and exclaimed, “Oh my God!” I jumped out of bed and looked for a robe or a t-shirt. This was Oscar night. I had to get my hair and make-up done and get dressed in that beautiful red gown.

I found my over-sized t-shirt and hurried downstairs. The living room was empty so I looked in the kitchen. There I found Mom, fully dressed sitting at the kitchen table drinking coffee.

“Hey, Mom,” I said as I padded into the kitchen in my bare feet.

Mom looked over at me with tired looking eyes. She said, “Good morning young lady.”

I said, “Is there a problem, Mom?”

Mom gave me a “what do you think?” look and said, “What do you think? You two woke me up and I thought you were never going to go to sleep. You know I don’t approve of my daughter just sleeping around with men you barely know.”

The stress or lack of sleep must have finally gotten to Mom. I said, “Mom. I’ve know Nathan for like forever and you’ve never told me that sleeping business before.”
