The Theta Prophecy

I call on you now, whoever you are and whenever you’re reading this, to do something to stop these things before it’s too late.
If a single war is fought under false pretenses, demand new leaders. If a single law is passed that harms the average person and benefits the extremely wealthy, demand new leaders. If your rights are stripped away, if you are treated like a criminal in your own land for no other reason than you are a free-thinking person, demand new leaders. If your neighbor is victimized, stand up for him. Do not let an injustice go unanswered. Do not be silent when the leaders you have elected do not have your best interest in mind.
Do not let your leaders be controlled by money. Your leaders should be serving you, the people, not the wealthy men and women who pay for them to be in office. Once a leader accepts money, a debt is owed. Leaders will say that just because they take gifts doesn’t mean they’re expected to give anything in return. But money is never invested without the expectation of a return on that investment. When money dictates policy, tyranny has overshadowed democracy. Remember that.
There’s nothing wrong with being rich. And there’s nothing wrong with wanting a profit. Both have been qualities shared by truly great men and women. But when money and the need for greater profit results in wars, institutionalized police states, millions of people in prisons, and citizens afraid to speak out against these injustices, people are no longer free.
Also, do not think that all laws are terrible. Every civilized society needs rules. But there should only be one set of laws for everyone. No one should be allowed to walk free for a crime that sends someone else to prison. That is the foundation of a just and fair society. People must be treated equally, at any cost. When a different punishment is handed out for the same crime, one for the wealthy and one for those who are not, there is no longer a land of justice.
As soon as the leaders think it’s okay to treat people differently, there’s no limit to injustice and double standards. One group will be treated like royalty and be excused for their crimes. The other group will have their houses taken from them, have taxes put on them to pay for the Tyranny’s blundering, and have laws passed that make their daily lives miserable.
Do not let the Tyranny try to rationalize its injustices. Refuse to listen when the leaders and their friends start speaking. When they start speaking, turn them off. They can only keep trying to convince people as long as people allow themselves to be convinced.
No one should be killed just because the leaders consider them a threat. What is to stop the leaders from considering you a threat? Everyone should be given a trial. If someone is going to rot in one of the Tyranny’s prisons, they should only do so after being found guilty of a crime, not because prison is a good place to keep dissenters quiet. These are the basic principles of our democracy.
As soon as the leaders are able to get away with anything one time, no matter if it’s an unnecessary war or an abusive law or an overreach of power, they will rationalize it a second time and a third time and a fourth and fifth. It will never end. It will become routine behavior. No one will be safe. Rule of law will not be carried out with respect to what is legal and what is not, but with fear tactics, brute force, and terror. And when that happens, no one can say they are free.
Do not allow these things to happen. Treasure the country you live in. Appreciate the principles it was founded on. Freedom. Liberty. Justice for all. Without those things, the country not only becomes something completely different, it becomes something terrifying.
Do not allow one misstep. If someone you’ve never met before is shot by the Tyranny’s men, march in the street as if he were your brother. If a rich man is given a different sentence than a poor man, march in the streets. Demand that judges who hand down biased sentences are removed from their jobs. In all of life, everyone should be treated equally.
Never stop protesting injustice until there are no more injustices to protest. Do not stop marching when your feet are sore. Only stop when there is no longer a reason to march. People’s actions matter. Your actions matter.
My ultimate goal, the goal of others who think like me, is simple and has been around longer than any of us: we want leaders who treat us and everyone else around the world as they themselves would want to be treated. If you wouldn’t want the Tyranny’s men kicking down your door and shooting you dead, then don’t allow it to happen to others. If you wouldn’t want your country invaded and terrorized, don’t do these things to other countries. If you don’t want all of your actions and words monitored, don’t treat everyone else like a criminal. If the leaders could only remember to treat others as they would want to be treated, there would never be a tyranny to fight against.
That’s why I’m leaving this book to be found, so whoever recovers it can remind everyone of the importance of these things. I had the ability to bury a treasure of immeasurable wealth in place of this book. Someone could have dug down deep into the earth and found chests full of rubies and gold. Maybe, with that fortune, they could have done something to combat the Tyranny. But if the Tyranny has taught me anything, it’s that there are things more valuable in this world than riches. Compassion is more important. So is having trust in the people elected to represent you. But most of all, ideas are more important than anything I could have buried underground. As long as people hold tight to their values, to the ideas I’ve written about here, the Tyranny can never form.
In much of life, there is little difference between something that is good for you and something that is lethal. Tiny differences here and there are the difference between people being free or living in fear. If you never forget that, if you tell everyone you know and they never forget it, these writings will have served their purpose.
I implore you, never forget.
