Carmen trembled and he grabbed her hand, squeezed and went on. “I found Ken a few minutes later still in the kitchen trying to mask the scratches on his face. I never let on that I knew you were gone but I made a point to stress that it would be to his benefit to cooperate fully with whatever you wanted. And if he didn’t, then his days as a real estate broker superstar would be over.”

Carmen gasped, “So that’s what he meant the day of our divorce. You blackmailed him.”

“Not just me. Richard and Maximus noticed how pissed I was and asked me what had set me off. I told them what I learned from the young man, who I later learned was named Paul, and Max and Richard couldn’t wait to give Ken a piece of their minds and some not so subtle threats.”

Carmen slowly pulled her hand from Simon’s. “So now we both know the truth.”

  “Yes,” he said.

“Thank you, again.” She started to rise and quickly sat again. She slid closer to the table. “I guess you’ll be heading back to New York.”

“Maybe,” he pierced another pineapple and ate it. “I’m thinking of staying here for a while.”

“You can’t!” She caught herself. “I mean, you have a life waiting for you in New York. Won’t you miss the glamour, the attention, and the women?”

He actually laughed. “No. Why would I want to go back to New York when what I want more of is right here?”

Her throat swallowed visibly. “More? Here? Me?” He nodded and slid his chair closer to hers. “I don’t think that’s a good idea, Simon. I mean, we—”

She never finished. His mouth covered hers and he took what he had been craving for months, her kiss. He sank his tongue deep and devoured all of the resistance right out of her.

When he lifted his head, her eyes were swimming with ravenous desire. He kissed her again. He couldn’t get enough of her. And now that she was in his arms, he was determined to keep her there.

Quick as a flash, Simon stood and pulled her from her chair. She squealed and collided into him. Her small protruding belly brushed against his stomach and Simon’s eyes widened as his mouth dropped. “Carmen,” he gasped. “You’re pregnant!” She backed away but he caught her again.

“I—I—I can explain,” she started. “It’s not what you think, I swear.”

His eyes surveyed her luscious body now thicker with a new life growing inside her. “I’m all ears,” he said.

“The stress of that night, that last beating from Ken and the divorce eventually took their toll on me. When I arrived in Kauai, I was exhausted and sick as hell. I couldn’t keep anything down. Finally, my cleaning lady, Luca, insisted I see a doctor. I fought her tooth and nail. She wouldn’t hear of it and dragged me to emergency. I was examined in emergency and that’s where I learned I was suffering from acute exhaustion, anemia and, I was pregnant.

Once I was hospitalized, I started playing back the past few weeks and months in my head. It completely slipped my mind that I’d missed my period, two of them in fact. All the symptoms were there, I’d just chalked it up to stress and nerves.”

Carmen pulled from his embrace and turned away. Her hands caressed her barely swollen belly. “This baby means everything to me. It’s the only thing I know I got right in my life.” His chest warmed the length of her back as his large hands circle around to hers.

“It’s mine, isn’t it? That last time at the party—no condom.”

Her head anchored against his shoulder. “Yes. I didn’t know how to tell you. I didn’t know if you’d care. I only knew that I wanted the baby. I wanted to have someone to love.”

Simon turned her to face him and captured her exquisite face in his trembling hands. He kissed her unshed tears and pierced her with a fierce gaze. “Carmen Meeks, I can promise you that your baby daddy ain’t going anywhere.” He covered her mouth in a soul-stealing kiss.

Carmen whimpered at his confession and practically crawled into his embrace. He lifted her in his arms and asked, “Where’s your bedroom?”

“Down the hall on the left,” she gasped.

Simon carried her there and placed her on the bed and stripped out of his clothes. He climbed in bed, pulled off her dress and crawled on top of her. He kissed her like he was starving. His hands were everywhere all at once.

Suddenly he stopped. He was breathing harshly, trying to rein in his passion. He nipped at her mouth again. “Carmen, your body is so sexy to me. I could spend forever in this bed with you. But I don’t want to hurt you, the baby. Can you…can we…I mean, is this safe for you? Having sex?”

Her face displayed a beautiful naughty smile. “Yes, Simon. Sex with you is more than safe. It’s what I want. It’s what I need. It’s what I crave. Please don’t make me beg.”

His knee split her thighs and his hips wiggled in between. “You never have to beg me for anything, Carmen.”

His mouth captured her breasts and sucked very gently. They looked so tasty, but her little whimper reminded him that her body was changing and some of his most favorite parts of her were probably tender.

He moved his mouth down and planted soft kisses over her swollen belly. She was beautiful. Finally, he pulled her thighs over his shoulders, flicked his tongue over her clit and ate her pussy until her back arched off the bed and she panted, sighed and screamed as her climax raged through her.

Her legs dropped bonelessly off his shoulders and Simon turned her on her side and came behind her, spooning her back to his chest. He lifted her leg up, and his cock gently, slowly eased into her drenched, tight pussy. She groaned from the long penetration. His mouth latched onto her neck and sucked.

Planted deep, he whispered, “You feel so damn good. So tight and warm. Oh God, I love the way your wet pussy feels around my dick. More. I need more. Can I have just a little more of you?”

He thrust in and out, spreading her clenching walls wide with his massive shaft. He set her leg over his and fingered her clit as his steady strokes intensified. Her hand fisted in his hair as Carmen cried, “Simon! Yes! More!”

He stroked and tortured her clit and pumped his hips like a mad man. She cried out as another orgasm tore through her. He roared as he poured his soul deep inside her. Vision blurred, his limbs trembling, Simon’s lungs stopped working as he joined her in ecstasy.

Minutes later, they lay gasping for breath. He turned her around slowly and pulled her into his arms. His hand gently cradled her belly. “Do you want a boy or a girl?” he asked.

The whimsical smirk on her face told Simon that Carmen had a preference and might already know what she was having. “A girl,” she said.

“I’m fine with that, so long as the next one’s a boy.”

Carmen’s eyes bulged. “The-the next one?” she stuttered.

“Of course, I told you, your baby daddy ain’t going anywhere.” He captured her mouth to seal her protest and spent the rest of the day making love to his baby mama.

Little did Carmen know, Simon planned to change those titles very soon—to husband and wife.

  About the Author

Valarie Prince, a Chicago native, started writing in the summer of 1992, after a hilarious temper tantrum with her husband. Three more novels: Rhythm, Chick Magnet and in 2010, Decadent were all picked up and published by Extasy Books. Her next five novels: A Gentlemen’s Wager, Skank, Dominion, A Cougar’s Tale and His Secrets are scheduled for release Spring/Summer 2014. Where after, they will be combined into a special edition anthology called: Open—Tales of Sensual Awakening.
