Ordinary Charm

Her hips bucked and a jolt of uncertainty went through her. It felt so unbelievably good, but was there enough lubricant to ease the way? She didn’t know a lot about anal sex, but she knew enough to know you needed a lot of lube to keep it from hurting. They were in the kitchen. It wasn’t like there was anything to use within reach. Maybe some butter? Strawberry jam? “Uh, Cole?”

He shushed her. “I’m not going to hurt you, baby. It’s the last thing I want to do. Trust me.” He slid his other hand down her front, catching and teasing a breast before disappearing between her spread thighs to rub and caress her clit. At the same time, he pressed a finger straight into her nether hole.

Serena instantly forgot what she’d been concerned about.

His finger speared in and out of her as his other hand worked her clit from the front. She moaned, consumed by the foreign sensations assaulting her body, from the utter possession he had over her. It was as if her body wasn’t hers any longer. It was all Cole’s to command now. She didn’t mind giving it over to him, either.

Adding an additional finger into her rear, he worked to widen her muscles back there enough for her to take him. Intense pleasure mixed with just a little bit of pain had her eyes rolling back in her head. Cole slipped his other hand to her clit and played with swollen and sensitized bit of flesh. Serena gasped at the sensual onslaught.

He coupled ecstasy with just the slightest bit of pain until she couldn’t tell the difference between the two—until the two were one and she couldn’t get enough of the troubling, exciting sensation. His cock remained thrust up within her and she felt it jump. “Ah, baby. Do you like it when I finger-fuck you this way?”

  “Y-yes,” she panted.

“I can’t wait to take you back here,” he groaned. “You’re going to be so hot and tight around my cock. You’re not afraid, are you?”

“No,” she moaned. Pleasure had narrowed her world down to only his cock, hands and voice. Nothing else mattered right now except Cole and the way he played her body, made it sing.

He put a hand on her hip and began to shaft her again with those long, mind-numbing strokes. At the same time, he continued to thrust those long, thick digits in and out of her ass. “I can feel my fingers against my cock, beautiful. You’re so filled up with me right now, baby. So filled up. Every inch of you back here has me in it.”

She wanted to sob she was so turned on. She wanted to beg him to take her in the rear at this point. His thrusts pounded her pussy with powerful pleasure. One of her hands slipped on the tile and she reached out in front of her, bracing herself against the cabinet.

“You like it?” he growled, withdrawing and plunging his fingers in tandem with his pounding cock.

“Yes,” she cried out, pumping her hips back against him, driving him deeper.

“You ready for the rest of me? You ready to take me into this sweet little ass of yours, baby?”

“Yes!” she sobbed. “Come-come inside me, Cole. Take me all the way.”

He trembled against her. She felt his slick skin drag across hers and as he leaned over and brushed his lips across the nape her neck. He pumped into her hard once, twice, the muscled expanse of his chest slipping against her back with delicious friction. Then he pulled free of her body.

Serena tensed, knowing what came next. She anticipated it, welcomed it—wanted it. Still, Cole’s cock was wide, thick and long. She could barely take it into her pussy. How would it fit where he now meant for it to go? Even though Cole had prepared her body, had tried to stretch her muscles back there wide enough for him to fit, would she able to take him?

Cole slid his fingers from her and she took a deep breath, trying to relax her body. He pressed the head of his cock into her, and she bucked involuntarily.

He grabbed her hips, holding her in place. “Hush darlin’, you can take me. I promise. It’ll feel so good. I’ll fill you up so full. It’ll hurt a little. It’ll hurt a little and be a whole lot of pleasure. You won’t know if you want me to pull out of you, or for me to push harder and deeper inside. I know you, Serena. I know you like just a little bit of pain with your ecstasy. Just a little counterpoint to make the pleasure all the more intense. Are you ready?”

She drew a careful breath. “I’m ready.”

He brushed the head of his cock across her opening and she felt her muscles relax for him. “That’s it, baby, your body is begging me for this. Begging for me to take you back here.”

Cole put one of his hands on her shoulder and placed the other on her hip. The head of his cock pressed into her, breaching the tight ring of muscles of her anus. She inhaled at the sharp mixture of pleasure and pain. It was exactly as he said. The sweet sensation of him possessing her there, stimulating all those tiny little nerve endings was enough to make her come, but there was a pain, too. A delicious ache of having those muscles stretched that far by the thick, silky head of his cock.

“Oh, Cole,” she breathed, and then panted out once. “More,” she gasped.

He groaned and slapped both hands to her hips, easing her back against him and slowly thrusting the shaft of him deeper into her. “This is going make me raw, beautiful. You’re so damn tight.” The thick width of his cock pressed into her slowly until he was seated all the way.

A fevered rush of ecstasy filled Serena at the feeling of him completely filling her back there. “Ah, Cole,” she moaned and hit the floor with the flat of her palm. “Oh.” Her muscles clamped down on his cock hard and she gritted her teeth at the painful pleasure, wanting him to shaft her and at the same wanting him to stop.

  Then he started to move.

What little control she’d had evaporated and she gave a guttural, bone-deep groan. His hips pulled back and thrust forward as he set up an easy, yet relentless rhythm. With every thrust, he sank further inside her. With every thrust the penetration grew easier.

“I can’t hold back,” he groaned as he picked up speed, pushing her harder with each piston-like movement. “I can’t take it slow.”

She couldn’t respond. All she could do was hang on as he thrust into her body over and over. He slid his hand around her front, dragging his fingers through her pubic hair to thrust two fingers into her weeping pussy.

Serena cried out as he ground his palm into her clit and finger-fucked her pussy even as he took her from behind. Her climax exploded over her body, overwhelming her and driving every bit of thought from her mind. He’d made her helpless and consumed by him, a slave to the ecstasy he’d exerted over her body.

Only this existed for her now—only Cole. Only his cock and her body.

“I want more from you,” he ground out near her ear in a guttural, rasping voice. “Give me more.” He withdrew his fingers from her pussy and slicked her juices over her clit as he worked the sensitized bud between two fingers, working it into another frenzy of need. “Whose are you, Serena? Are you mine? Tell me you are.”

“Oh, God, Cole. I’m yours. I’m yours,” she sobbed and chanted as he pushed her straight into another climax. The muscles of her body tensed and shuddered as another wave of pleasure racked her. The kitchen dimmed as she almost lost consciousness.

Behind her, she heard Cole’s deep groan as he exploded within her. She felt him fill her up, his cock jumping and his body shuddering against hers.

He came down on her. Their bodies slid together slickly in the perspiration sheen of their exertion and he pulled free. He kissed her neck over and over, murmuring, “God, Serena. I love you, baby. I love you so goddamn much. You’re mine, beautiful, mine. All mine.”

Serena collapsed to the floor and Cole rolled to the side, gathered her up against him and kissed her over and over, telling her how beautiful she was, how much he loved her, how she was his. They were a mess, sticky and wet. None of it mattered.

Shuddering and trembling and half crying from the intense experience and the emotions that clawed and jumped through her, Serena let Cole enfold her in his embrace.

  “I do love you
, Serena,” he murmured into her hair. “I’m not letting you go, baby. Not ever. I’m never letting anyone hurt you. Not ever again.”

Serena’s half sob turned to a full-out cry at his words. All the pain, all the anguish from what had Brian had done to her—everything she’d been holding in for the last five years—came out in a cathartic rush. She held out onto Cole as though she’d drown in the flood of those emotions and he was her life preserver. He held her tight, rocking her back and forth until she sobbed herself quiet and still. They stayed that way for a long time, silent and spooning in the middle of the kitchen floor.

  * * * * *

Serena walked into the living room and glanced at the clock. It was almost time. Millicent told them to do it at midnight.

They’d eventually collected themselves from the kitchen floor and had taken a shower together. Cole really wouldn’t let her out of his sight. He’d berated himself aloud several times already for taking her eyes off of her at Millicent’s house.

As if there’d been absolutely anything he could’ve done to prevent Ashmodai from possessing her. There wasn’t anything she could’ve done either. One minute, she’d been there. The next second she’d been just…gone… Then she’d “come to” sprawled on the floor of that freaky little white room. The lack of control she’d had was more terrifying than the actual possession. The lack of impact her magick had had on Ashmodai was frightening, too. She shivered violently at the memory.

Cole sat on the couch staring at the rolled-up spell, the vial filled with the potion, and the translated text on the coffee table. He’d been staring at that stuff for the better part of the day. Since, mostly, they’d spent the entire day waiting and staring at the clock over the mantel. They were both tense.

She’d convinced him to sit with her out on the porch for a while, though the autumn chill was especially chilly and had driven them inside before too long. She’d gone to the store and made a vegetarian stew after that. Cole had even eaten some it and managed not to spit it out on the floor. In fact, he’d complimented her on it. Surprisingly, he'd also had a cup of the green tea she’d made.

They’d talked for hours, shared every last detail of their pasts. She’d told him about how she’d thought Brian had really loved her and how surprised she’d been that night, how devastated. She’d cried again and he’d held her and let her do it—cry it all out. It was something she really hadn’t been able to do before. Hell, she hadn’t even been able to cry when she’d been on the stand at Brian’s trial. The prosecuting attorney had been furious with her for that. He’d wanted her to be all emotionally devastated for the jury. They’d convicted the bastard without her tears, in the end.

Cole had talked about how his parents were really concerned with the kind of house they lived in and the kind of car they drove. They cared more about their possessions and making money than they cared about being happy. He told her that they’d always thought he was a little strange and that had caused a rift between them.

Most “normal” people could sense the OtherKin in a person, but not understand it. They usually just ended up labeling them “eccentric” or “odd”.

There must have been some OtherKin in Cole’s family tree, but it was like hair color or eye color, it could skip a generation. Obviously, it had passed his parents by.

Serena felt bad for Cole that he grew up in that kind of environment, and counted herself lucky. OtherKin-ness hadn’t ever skipped a female member of her family as far as she knew. They were all witches.

That evening, she’d called Rowan, but her sister had been as tight-lipped as always. Serena had kept the conversation light and hadn’t told her anything about the demon than what Rowan already knew. Better she not know the extent of what was going on, since it was clear Rowan had problems of her own at the moment.

  “Come here, beautiful.”

Cole’s voice shook her from her intense stare at the clock. It was almost time. She walked to him and he pulled her down on his lap. When he brushed his lips against her cheek, she closed her eyes at the spicy, manly scent of him. She’d fallen hard for this guy and it was so damned scary.

So fast. So hard. So scary.

“Are you going to be ready to perform this ritual?” he asked.

She opened her eyes and glanced at the rolled-up piece of paper. “I’m as ready as I’m ever going to be. I’ll get him here. You throw the potion on him. Together we’ll perform the ritual to open the doorway and force him back through it.”

Cole sighed. “Sounds way too simple. Ashmodai has something planned. No way is he going to allow this.”

“Is it just me, or does Ashmodai seem alarmingly childlike? He always wants to play.”

“Uh-huh and his play usually means death, beautiful. If I hadn’t blasted that power at him this afternoon, it could’ve been your death. Let’s face it, it probably would’ve been yours. I surprised him…and myself. I didn’t even know I knew that spell I threw at him.” He laughed. “I guess I didn’t. It was Cernunnos who knew it.”

The clock on the mantel chimed midnight.

  Shit.

  “Time’s up,” she breathed.

They were both motionless and quiet for a long moment.

  “Let’s go,” said Cole.

Serena stood and took the rolled-up spell from the table. Cole took the rest of the items and they walked outside. They’d drawn a circle in the grass by the side of the house, in the center of a patch of trees that had been specially planted for coven circles. They’d stuck a multitude of lawn torches in the ground to light the area. Above them the moon was full. The sky was bright and clear and sparkling with stars.

Their breath showed in the air as they walked to the center of the circle. It was a cold night and it matched how she suddenly felt inside.

They bowed to the four directions—north, south, east and west. They’d already cleared the circle with a white-sage smudge stick. Serena had already memorized the words to the summoning spell.

She just had to stand in the center of the circle, say them aloud and infuse them with a little bit of her own magical soul.

Cole grabbed her hand and squeezed. In his other hand, he held the vial. “Go on, baby.”

She closed her eyes and concentrated inward, drawing on the center of herself where all her power resided. She felt herself go woozy and get a bit lighter physically as that power uncoiled like a snake and curled up her spine. Energy trickled through her body, starting at the tips of her toes and rising upward. Slowly it rose, taking her fear and pushing it out as it went, obliterating her doubts.

The power hit her throat, her vocal chords and rose further. Serena opened her mouth and sighed out pure energy, pure OtherKin power. She chanted the ancient words of the spell. Before, when she’d memorized them, she hadn’t known what they meant. Now, she still couldn’t translate them to English, but she knew the meaning each syllable conveyed. Come to me. Come to me.

  Come to me.

There was a pop and crackle of energy to her left. An enraged roar rent the gentle night air. A powerful, evil feeling presence filled the circle. Ashmodai had arrived.

Still, Serena kept her eyes closed, the power focused. Come to me…

Beside her, Cole extricated his hand from hers. She heard him pop the top of the vial. Heard a splash of liquid. Heard another roar of rage. The pull on her power lessened. The potion had done its job. It had picked up the thread of the magick she and Cole exerted over the demon and given them a little room to move.

Serena opened her eyes and saw Ashmodai suspended in midair in the center of the circle. This time he didn’t pull on an invisible magical chain. This time he only remained motionless, as though frozen in the air. The nervous darting of his red eyes was the only clue she had that the demon was even aware of what was happening around him.

Cole grabbed her hands and pulled her down to the grass to sit cross-legged in front of him. She locked gazes with him.

  Together, their power kissed an
d rolled through the air, swooping and swirling around their bodies, darting through their chakras and out. In spite of the seriousness of what they did now, the feeling of their energy…making love…as it did, made her feel giddy and lightheaded. It almost felt like a drug. One she didn’t want to come down from.

  Cole blinked and said, “Focus.”

She wasn’t sure if he was talking to her or to himself. Still, it was good advice. She focused on Cole’s eyes and started the chant to open the doorway to the dimension Ashmodai had come from, to send the demon back to his own hellish reality.

The ancient words poured forth and Serena actually saw their power come out of their mouths with the spell. Her magick was a light rose color, alternating with purple. It puffed out with every syllable she uttered. Wisps of a green so dark it was almost black swirled forth with Cole’s utterances. At the same time, knowing without verbal communication what to do and when to do it, they pitched their voices higher.

A wind started up. It grew stronger and more turbulent, began to whip her hair around her face and become a near deafening sound in her ears.

A slit of white light opened to the right of Ashmodai. It grew longer and longer and wider and wider with every word that poured forth from their mouths. A screaming noise started in Serena’s mind. Was it the wind? She wanted to slap her hands over her ears, even though she knew it had no physical origin. It was in her head. Instead, she squeezed her eyes shut. She felt an odd tug from Cole on her hands, as though he were being pulled away. Her eyes flew open.

  Something was wrong.

Cole was tugged backward again. He tried to let go of her and she grabbed on tighter.

  Another vicious tug.

“Let me go,” he yelled over the wind. “You’ll be pulled along with me.”

“No!” she grabbed on tighter and yelled back. “You’re not going to be taken anywhere! You’re not leaving me!”

Barely before her sentence was out of her mouth, Cole’s hands were ripped away from hers and he flew backward into the opening doorway of the hell dimension as if sucked by some powerful force.
