A Valentine for Two
Page 30
He could only imagine what that would feel like if he had truly been inside of her, and he bucked his hips at watching and feeling this entire erotic display before him. Never had he experienced anything like this.
The two Mersenneans panted, coming down from their euphoria, but no sooner had they caught their breath then they descended upon him.
As Kenna kissed her way down his body, Lucas leaned over and took his aching erection into his mouth.
He sucked in his breath as the male encompassed him in his warm, inviting mouth, giving him strong, powerful sucks while massaging his balls. “Harder.” He raked his fingers through Lucas’ hair and pulled Kenna up giving her a deep kiss and staring into her eyes. “Ah.” Close, he was close. His end was there, he needed it.
“Let go,” Kenna whispered into his mouth.
At her soft plea, he had no choice but to give in. He lifted his hips and then it overtook him, first quivers through his body that grew, pounding all around him until at last he had no choice but to explode.
“Yes!” Right into Lucas’ mouth, he released. With Lucas taking him with no issue, it only urged him and his orgasm to continue until he was left a weak, trembling mass as the two most incredible beings in any universe tended to him.
After catching his breath, he found the strength to pull Lucas up.
The three of them shared one of those incredible kisses, only now the taste from his ultimate pleasure intermingled with their essence. In many ways, even though they didn’t bond in the official sense of the word, they were one. How could he leave them? How could he not? He stared up at Femkat. The rings truly were incredible.
Chapter ten
The airy trees with the bright pink and green leaves changed into trees with thick branches dripping with vines of deep purple, maroon and navy as they neared the cliff overlooking the Specular Reflecting Pools. Lucas hoisted their bag up on his shoulder and tightened his hold on Kenna’s hand. It had been many years since they had been to this Mersennean sacred spot. In fact, both his and Kenna’s families insisted they visit here after their loss of Sandros. Where he was against this trip at the onset, with all that had happened, the timing seemed right to return. Maybe they would find the answers.
Kenna stopped, let go of him and Talbot then walked to one of the trees, lowered her head and ran her hand gently down the trunk. “Now that we’ve reached the Trevini trees, we shall follow the tradition of remaining silent. At the cliff, we will spend our time in silent contemplation and focus on what is most important. When Helia begins to set, we can go to the water’s edge and make our camp for the evening.” She returned to them, pressed her palm to each of their cheeks and took their hands once more.
Talbot nodded and as one unit they continued through the forest.
Only the sounds of their footsteps echoed through the area. At last, the orange light from Helia broke through the dense foliage. In a few more steps, they emerged on the other side of the trees to the cliff. Below them the pools shined. Off to one side, a couple and two triads stood having their own moment.
“Oh, my word.” Talbot gasped.
Without a word, Kenna put her fingers over Talbot’s mouth.
He blinked his acknowledgement to stay silent, kissed her fingertips and went to the edge of the cliff.
Kenna went to Talbot’s side, but Lucas remained a step behind them. First, he took in the female he had loved since the second he saw her. Dare he say since Talbot entered their lives she became even more beautiful? Maybe what he saw was her happiness. The feeling of being complete at last. They had lived as a couple in a life meant for three. Now, a third filled that hole that at one time seemed bottomless.
Lucas took a breath and turned his attention to the male who made them a triad. For many, many Helia cycles he had searched for someone who would meld with the two of them. Had anyone told him he would find the one in a brash alien, he would have laughed them off. Yet, Talbot seemed to fit.
In unison, Kenna and Talbot turned back to him, and she held out her hand. Instantly, he went to them, flanking her other side, but taking comfort in feeling Talbot’s hand reach over and squeeze his shoulder.
Finally, he looked down at the Specular Reflecting Pools, and his breath caught at their beauty.
Three concentric pools, the largest navy, the middle violet and the center pink. The amazing waters perfectly reflected back the forest and sky above them in an unbelievable, colorful mirror image. No one knew how the pools existed, how the different colors didn’t bleed into the others, yet there they were, a mystery they just accepted.
What else could he accept?
Lucas stared down at the waters, narrowing his eyes and allowing the colors in the waters to blend together. All his life he had been taught to dig deep, study and learn. His pursuits weren’t based on blind faith, they were methodical, orderly and made sense.
He took Kenna’s hand and kissed it. They were much in the same boat. One bogged down with study, one buried in tradition. Maybe when they had nothing else to hold on to during their dark days, they both hid under what was comfortable, what gave the universe a sense of rhyme and reason.
All of that was pushed to the wayside once they both found a spark in the most unlikely source. They found their vertex somewhere where traditions didn’t apply, where nothing made sense, where they acted on faith and primal urges rather than on any precedent or document.
He inhaled deeply. In all his study, one thing was true, the poets, the writers and dreamers didn’t act on convention. How did he find himself here? How did he allow Kenna to dream when dreams had been dashed before?
What did they do when again their vertex was going to be ripped away from them?
Helia lowered in the sky, and Kenna took both their hands. They didn’t need to speak as they took their time climbing down the path, and made their way to the water’s edge. He and Talbot both put the bags they brought down and Kenna completed the ritual by kissing them both. “What do you think?” She looked up at Talbot.
He blinked and took a breath. “I don’t know yet, I’m both relaxed and still in deep thought.”
Lucas nodded.
Kenna gave him a smile. “Why don’t the two of you go gather some fallen branches so we can build a fire? I’ll make camp and prepare some food.”
After taking their turn giving Kenna another kiss, they made their way toward the trees.
While Lucas began picking up some twigs, Talbot walked over to a bigger branch, unsheathed his sword and with a movement Lucas could only call elegant, sliced it in two.
Talbot glanced over at him.
He lifted his eyebrows. The Kinjani male was nothing, if not magnificent. Pure power and strength.
Talbot tilted his head, indicating for him to come over.
Lucas obliged, and Talbot held out the sword.
“I’ve never touched a weapon.” He went to step back, but Talbot caught his arm.
“It’s only a weapon if you need to fight.” Talbot took the twigs out of his arms, put them aside and motioned toward another large fallen branch.
Though never one to rely on physical strength, he had to admit he was intrigued by the sword and he allowed Talbot to put it in his hands. “It’s heavy.”
“It can be freeing, but can also be a weight.” Talbot went off to one side.
Not knowing what overcame him, he lifted the weapon and slammed it down into the branch. The force of the blow reverberated through his arms. Rather than a clean cut, it broke in half, and the sword embedded itself into the ground below.
“The trick is to allow the sword to do the cutting.” Talbot came up behind him and helped him get the sword out. “Try again. A smooth motion, don’t force it.”
Together, they lifted the sword and with Talbot guiding him, he easily sliced through the thick branch. Being with another male, the male who was his partner was freeing, there was no embarrassment, they were a team.
“Excellent.” Talbot patted his shoulde
r and kneeled down to gather up the pieces. “I wish I could show you more, but...” He shook his head and let his voice trail off.
“What did you think about up on the cliff?” Sword still in hand, Lucas went to another branch and tried out his newfound technique. Once more, the branch yielded to the metal and split in two.
“I don’t think, I act.” Talbot tossed one of the pieces aside and sat down right on the forest floor.
“Liar.” Lucas paced around. When Talbot glanced over at him, he continued. “Last night you didn’t act, you thought, and that’s why you didn’t bond with me and Kenna.”
Talbot exhaled and picked up a leaf.
“So what did you think about?” Lucas sat down next to him.
“How I could stay. What it would be like. If you wanted me.” Talbot faced him.
“You know we want you.” He set the sword aside and took one of the twigs, drawing a design in the soft dirt below him.
“I know Kenna wants me. I can see it in her eyes, I can feel it. I know you will do anything to make her happy. That’s not what I’m asking. I’m asking about you.” Talbot grabbed the stick and tossed it away.
Lucas ground his teeth together and pounded his fist into the dirt. “I sat on that damn cliff trying to clear my mind, stare out at the pools and find the answers, but all I had was questions on what to do if you get on that ship and leave us...me.”
Talbot took him by the shoulders. “So, it’s me you want. Not just another male.”
“We don’t need another male. We need you.” Lucas stared into those amazing silver eyes. Yes, he needed the alien, the powerful being, the one who made him powerful. It happened fast, but it happened, and now they had to deal with it.
In a sudden move, Talbot pulled him in, crushing their mouths together. Their kiss was strong, demanding and brief. Right as their tongues connected, Talbot pulled back, leaving them both breathless. “What do we do now?”
Lucas stood and picked up the firewood. “We return to Kenna.” They had to stop living the fantasy and go back to facts to address their situation. Once Talbot boarded the ship, they would never get him back.
Chapter eleven
“I have to say that is one roaring fire.” Talbot stood up straight and puffed out his chest.
Kenna couldn’t stop a smile as her two males looked between the fire, at each other and with matching prideful grins returned to her. Talbot sat behind her and Lucas took his place at her side.
She sent them off together to give her a little extra time to collect herself. The Spectral pools were powerful, leaving her spent from her thoughts about Sandro, Talbot, Lucas and her life, and she lost herself in the simple yet satisfying tasks of laying out their bedding and preparing a light meal from what they brought with them.
Once her males appeared, they went right about finishing their chore of starting the fire, and she had to laugh at watching Lucas show off a little by using Talbot’s sword. They were connecting, all three of them, and the sick sensation she tried to avoid swirled in her middle at remembering this wasn’t permanent. When they returned home, Talbot would be taken from them.
The need to flee, run, or cry shot through her. Her heart sped and she tensed and straightened up.
“What’s wrong?” Talbot caught her by the shoulders.
Lucas turned to her. “Kenna?”
She couldn’t ruin this night together, and she managed to take enough of a breath to calm herself down and slow her heart. “Nothing, I’m fine.”
Lucas grabbed a book out of his bag. “I thought tonight maybe I would read something to us. There was something I thought we should hear.”
At noticing the copy of Passages, her eyes filled with tears. The guide to how to live life, how to look at things was more appropriate for this night than almost any other. She leaned back against Talbot and stared up at Femkat. Something told her nothing would make tonight better. The end was nearing, and there was nothing they could do about it.
Lucas thumbed through the pages of the book, and Talbot took her hand, lacing their fingers together.
She shut her eyes. No doubt this would be some sort of excerpt on endings or acceptance, and frankly she didn’t want to hear any of it.
“Fighting.” Lucas’ deep voice rang through her ears. “‘Sometimes there is a time for a fight.’”
At the unexpected words, she opened her eyes.
“‘Fighting can come in many forms.’” Lucas continued. “‘There are warriors, those who use strength and steel and there is a time for such power.’”
She squeezed Talbot’s hand, and he kissed the top of her head.
“‘Just as, or maybe even more, powerful is the fight one forges with words and knowledge.’”
Talbot reached over and skimmed his palm down Lucas’ shoulder.
“‘From the basic unit of the triad, to that of whole planets, systems and galaxies, the need to fight for what is just and right must supersede everything else. In essence, one or a million must fight to stay together.’” Lucas put the book aside and faced them. “We are a triad, the three of us. We have to fight.”
“What are you saying?” She sat up and looked between her two males.
“What did you think about today up on the cliff?” Lucas took her hand and Talbot’s hand.
She pressed her lips together and shook her head.
“Kenna, tell us,” Talbot demanded.
“How to keep us together.” Her voice cracked.
“Then we must fight.” Lucas put their hands together as one unit. “We have to stay together. We have to go to the government and fight for what we want.”
She stared into Lucas’ eyes. He was the rational one—where was his mind? “Do you think we can?”
“I think we have to.” He nodded.
“I will die before I allow them to take me from you. “ Talbot leaned in, first kissing Lucas, then kissing her.
“We have to fight, we are now all part warrior.” For the first time since she realized she and Lucas had to have Talbot, the weight on her back making it hard to breathe lifted, and she wrapped her arms around both their necks. Talbot was a part of them and they were a part of Talbot. No matter the species, they belonged to each other. At its essence, that was the definition of a triad.
Lucas held her tight, and Talbot took her face between his hands then gave her a deep kiss. Their tongues met, electrifying every part of her.
A low growl escaped Talbot’s throat, and he pulled Lucas closer. Together, the three of them kissed, their tastes intermingling into something unique, a delicacy unlike anything else, one of a kind.
She let her hands roam over her males. First Lucas, where she knew every angle, every curve, and every move to make him writhe with delight. She stroked his ready erection, loving how even after everything they had been through, he responded to her touch as eager as ever.
Then came her vertex, her new love. She was still exploring him, learning what made him moan, arch his back, hold her tighter.
The reactions, the touches, and the kisses from the two of them aroused her beyond anything. She relished in every bit of attention they doled out to her and to each other. They personified what it meant to be together, be a triad.
No rules or traditions could destroy what they had together. They had to fight, and as someone who worked for the authorities, she had to take the lead.
Yes, she had to take the lead, go after what she wanted. Lucas and Talbot began removing their clothing, and she reached down stroked their erections, each thick, long and magnificent in their own way. She had to have them both and she had to do it her way.
Her plan in place, she slipped out of her skirt and with nothing between them, she pushed Talbot back, straddling him. “If we are fighting, then we will go in together fighting as a bonded triad, no matter the law.”
“Yes,” Lucas whispered behind her, and Talbot gave her one nod then took her by the hips. Unable to wait another second to know what it was like
to have him, she guided him inside her. While this wasn’t her first time by any means, she still gasped at having another male besides Lucas filling her.
Talbot sucked in his breath and squirmed.
“Lucas.” She braced herself on Talbot’s shoulders.
“Are you sure?” Her meridian came up behind her.
“Absolutely.” She kissed Talbot as Lucas positioned himself and entered her. “Ah.” Her body stretched to accommodate them both.
“Go slow.” Lucas kissed the back of her neck.
Talbot hung his head back. “Lord.”
For a moment they didn’t move, just became used to the new sensations. Then with her need taking on new heights, she began to gyrate against them.
“Like that.” Lucas took her by the waist.
“Incredible.” Talbot’s voice came out husky, laced with restraint.
Oh, now she understood why they called this a bond, said it was unlike anything else. With both her males deep inside her, nothing could ever feel better, she could never be closer to anyone, she could never want them more.
Together they moved, developed a rhythm, an ebb and flow, one male driving into her the other retreating, the friction increasing. The pleasure grew, their breath came in pants and they forged forward.
“More Lucas.” Talbot put his hand over Lucas’.
“I can feel every inch of you.” Lucas shook, his movements became more erratic. “I’m close.”
“Then let go.” When Talbot pushed himself up, pulled Lucas in and kissed him, Kenna lost it.
Her first orgasm exploded around Lucas, and both she and her Meridan yelled out. The pleasure vibrated through her, but rather than a relief, her desire only built, leaving her grinding between the two of them in search of satisfaction.
“Keep going,” Talbot demanded.
Both males continued their onslaught and once again her body let go, this time around Talbot. She pulsed along his length, only making her desire all the greater. “Don’t stop!” Her arousal continued to climb, and she dug her nails into Talbot’s arms. In the past, her initial climaxes helped let some of the pressure loose, the third one was a slow release wrapping her in calm contentment. This time everything only became worse. “Oh, help me!”
