He pressed his body into her back, loving how responsive she was to him. Her little mews of pleasure ripped through him, driving his wolf to mark her now for the world to see. He’d use his powers as Alpha to make this mark stay, but it wasn’t the true bonding mark. No, that one had been firmly placed on her upper inner thigh. His own marking bond tingled at the base of his cock. She’d nearly made him have a heart attack when her teeth had clamped down on that spot, but even now, the tingle of energy coursing through their bond made him glad she’d picked that spot.

His teeth grazed her collar bone, and when she tilted her head to the side, showing throat entirely for him, he no longer held his wolf back. He bit, and bit down hard. Her blood seeped into his mouth, and he lapped at it, loving the taste or her. Within seconds the bite had already started to heal and she’d twisted in his arms. He smiled, knowing how bad she wanted to mark him for all to see because he’d felt the same way.

He tilted his head, allowing her his full throat for the mark. She smiled against his collar bone, the exact spot he’d marked her. Her breath brushed across his skin before her teeth sank into his neck. He groaned, hoping his knees didn’t give out on him. Jesus, her bite had him nearly coming in his pants. She licked the blood from his neck, mimicking the motion she’d done on his cock the night before. He groaned, tugging her tight against him so she could feel what she did to him.

“Easy, pup. We’ve got to meet and greet now,” she whispered against his skin.

Jasper growled and shook his head. “Later, much, much later.” He reached down to grab her around the waist and hoist her into his arms. “Enjoy the food and company, everyone, but my mate and I will be eating privately.” Sidda buried her face into his chest, laughing right along with him and everyone else.

Jasper turned to march back inside to their room, but Ivan stepped in front of him, holding an envelope.

“Alpha, you need to see this.” His tone had dropped to pure remorse.

Unease spiraled through Sidda through their bond. Jasper shook his head. “It can wait. I’ve been promised a honeymoon or something close to it, and I intend to collect right now.”

Ivan shook his head, pressing the envelope closer to him.

Sidda squirmed in his arms until he sat her down onto her feet. “Jasper, it sounds important. Just look.” She crossed her arms over her chest, leaning into him.

Jasper snarled, snatching the manila envelope from Ivan. He flipped it over to check the label, but there was no return address. He pulled the letter from the envelope to be assaulted by the scent of moss. Dane Velham. Sidda tensed beside him. He flipped the sheet open.

Find us if you can, before I find the rest.

A four-by-six snapshot slid from the envelope to the ground. Sidda bent over to grasp it, trembling slightly as she held it up for him to see. Two men who resembled Jasper so much it was hard not to believe it was him were tied to trees outside of a falling down barn. The men had slashes across their chests and blood ran down from the wounds. Tears pooled in her eyes. Behind them, Delilah gasped, rushing forward to see the picture better.

Jasper growled with rage. Sidda squeezed his hand. “Looks like our near honeymoon will be a road trip.” She smiled warmly at him, easing some of his rage.

“Looks like it. The postmark is from Wyoming. Ready for a trip?”

  “With you, always.”

Despite the circumstances, Jasper grinned. He knew that together, he and Sidda would always come out ahead. No one, especially Dane Velham would ever be able to stop them. He pulled her to his side as they headed off into their future as the North American Luna Alphas.
