Diary of the dead: The end has come (The diaries of the dead Book 1)

  Jack could her something from a distance but couldn't make out what it was until he turned around to find a large horde of corpses, Shit Jack thought to himself and ran back inside.

  Rebecca and Lauren were already at the front door, "We have to go now" Jack said with pant "Why what’s wrong" Lauren questioned, Jack point to the door and the girls went out to look but ran back inside immediately from what they saw. "We need to get Craig," Rebecca said "No we can just leave him there," Jack said trying to pull her out the door

  Rebecca and Jack argued about what to do, should they get Craig or leave him to die, Jack was all in for leaving him to die but Rebecca and Lauren weren't to keen on letting that happen, so it was two against one.

  Jack, Lauren and Rebecca all ran to the back of the store to get Craig and get the hell out of the store before they turned into a human happy meal. "Where the hell is he" Lauren questioned "he's not here so we can go," Jack said running away but ran back because Lauren and Rebecca weren't going anywhere without Craig.

  The three of them all ran to the other side of the store in search for Craig "where the hell is he" Lauren said getting frustrated, suddenly there was a smash coming from the other aisle so they to check it out, not such a good idea.

  When they got to the other side of the aisle they could all see Craig, they could see him drinking a bottle of vodka, I forgot to say that Craig was kind of an alcoholic.

  "What the hell are you doing trying to get yourself killed," Jack said as he ran out to him and took the bottle out of his hand and through it away, everyone was silence the only thing you could hear was the shatter of the bottle.

  "We need to go now," Jack said as he pulled Craig and ran to the door followed by the girls.

  When they got to the door the were horrified to see the door has become completely overrun with corpses they wouldn't make it that way "we need to go out the back way" Jack said, Lauren brushed through the back exit but was greeted by two corpses so her and Jack gave each a look and then lift up the sledgehammers and bet down the corpses and ran past them stepping over the blood.

  Jack seen a box that had an axe and not wanting to carry around a heavy ass hammer he gladly traded his sledgehammer for a nicer axe.

  Jack burst through the door that had a fire exit sign above and thinking it would be overrun with corpses thankfully it was empty but on the other hand if you turn the corner you'll be greeted by hungry dead people, lovely.

  The four of them ran to the edge of the corner still remaining unseen, Craig is just a little tipsy but Jack wasn't gonna let him fall no matter how much he hated him.

  "Can you see the car?" Lauren asked.

  Jack looked all over the car park but couldn't see it he barely remembers what the car looks like he's only seen it in the dark. The four of them ran into the car-park and took cover among the abandon cars, they crouched down on their knees trying not to be seen by the horde.

  They all looked through the car windows trying to find their car. Jack looked through one of the car windows to find that the car was the one they stole, "this is the car" Jack said. Lauren crawled over to the car followed my Craig then by Rebecca, suddenly a corpse jumped on Rebecca causing her to fall over. The corpse tried to bite her but she kept her arm up blocking her face, blood from its mouth dripped onto her face, Jack reacted by lifted the ack in his hand up into the air and plunging it into the corpse's head causing it to fall off of Rebecca but causing blood to splatter onto her face.

  Rebecca quickly got off of her feet and jumped up and ran to the car and jumped in before everyone got in, Craig jumped in beside Rebecca and Lauren jumped in beside Jack. Just before Jack pressed his foot down on the pedal a horde of corpse jumped on to the sides of the car, scratching at the windows to get in, reacting fast Jack slammed his foot on the acceleration pedal and the car drove as fast as it could away from the horde.

  They were driving for what felt like an eternity but in reality was only less than an hour, they were only out of Dublin somewhere in the wicklow mountains but they didn't really have a clue. Lauren and Jack switched driving so Jack could sleep for a bit, something he hasn't done since everything happen.

  They used up the last of their petrol and were running low again.

  "Jack....Jack wake up" Lauren nugget Jack "What’s wrong"

  "There's an RV we should check for petrol and food"

  Jack, Lauren and Rebecca got out of the car leaving Craig to sleep. They walked up to the door of the RV and as they were about to open it the door swung open and at the entrees of the RV stud a tall brown haired guy no older than Jack. "Oh my god are yous okay," The guy said not knowing that they were about to rob him "Come in," he said

  Come in, that's seriously all your gonna say, he didn't even introduced himself for all they knew he could be a cereal killer who's just using this situation for fun.

  "We rather not," Rebecca said

  "Come they'll be here any minute"

  "Who'll be here"

  "The walkers" who does this guy think he his someone from the walking dead.

  They could all hear something coming from the distance and not in any mood to face what that sound was they all ran into the RV leaving the guy to close the door and lock it. "Who are you" Jack questioned "My names Ethan, and don't worry I'm crazy" he giggled. "What age are you??" Rebecca asked.

  I think this just turned into a game of 21 questions "I'm 19" Ethan answered.

  Lauren and Jack sat down while Rebecca looked around the RV, it was a pretty decent RV it's got everything you would need for a road trip, a shower, a fridge, an oven and even four beds, maybe it was a tour bus and not an RV and was just some famous celeb on his tour or maybe he's just really rich.

  Oh shit Craig is still in the car, hopefully he gets ripped to bits, Jack thought to himself.

  "So what's your guys plan" Ethan questioned "My granddad has a farm in Galway were going there, what's your plan"

  "I don't have a plan, I was with my dad but he's dead now" Jack did genuinely did feel sorry for since he did lose both his parents just a couple hours ago "I'm sorry".

  Jack thought they should get Ethan to come with them since he did have a huge RV that would be use full and it's warmer than the small crap car and it was proper beds to sleep on.

  "You should come with us," Rebecca said just before Jack opened his mouth, she always what’s to be the first to ask. "Are you sure?" Ethan asked. "We need more numbers and it seems you have better transport than us" Rebecca said speaking for all of us but it was a bad idea Jack was about to suggest the same thing and maybe Lauren was thinking the same but they couldn't get Craig's opinion on the matter and they didn't really care for what it was.

  "Okay I guess I'll stick with you’s then," Ethan said and walked over to the front of the RV "so will we take your car" he giggled and sat down. Lauren went back to the car and woke up Craig and told him what was happening, he was still a little tipsy but he could just sleep it off in the RV.

  "So Galway's a long trip to be making," Ethan said and he was right it was dangerous but they didn't have a choice it was the only safe place that they knew.

  Once everyone was settled down Ethan pressed his foot down on the pedal and slowly drove the RV from where it was parked.

  Jack was still tired so he went to take a nap, he went to one of the top bunks and the other one across from where he was about to sleep laid Craig.

  Craig opened his eyes to see Jack looking at him, as soon as Jack noticed that Craig was awake he turned his back to him and was facing the wall of the RV.

  Ethan turned on the GPS that was on the dashboard and asked Rebecca to put in the address of her granddad's farm. "OAK_WOOD FARM WHITELAKE ROAD GALWAY"

  It was gonna be a very long trip, the GPS said 4 hours but that's when there isn't hordes of the undead trying to kill you, let's just hope the road ahead is clear and safe.

  Chapter 6

  "So how about walkers" Rebecca said as her and Laure
n tried to come up with names for the flesh eating pieces of shit, "We're not in the walking dead Rebecca, how about biters" "That's in the walking dead you idiot."

  Rebecca and Lauren tossed out names to call them, walkers, biters, eaters, Lauren even through out the word zombie but that's to cliché and they aren't zombies, are they.

  "What about corpse" Jack said as he got out of his bed and began to stretch out his arms "why corpses" Lauren questioned "because they're dead aren't they" Jack stated, Lauren just nodded her head and silence fell over the RV, the only sound was the sound of the RV driving along the asphalt.

  Jack turned on his heels and walked to the back of the RV where there was a small room the held the shower, Jack took off his shoes and walked in to the room and closed the door behind him. Jack took the blood steadied clothes off of him and through them outside the shower from an opening in the door, he turned on the water and it instantly heated up.

  Jack found some shower gel on the floor and squeezed some into his hand and began to rub it on his chest, arms and other places. He rinsed the gel off of his body and the water turned red from the dried blood that covered him.

  He turned off the the shower and opened the shower door, Jack reached his hand out of the shower the find a towel that was hanging beside the door, he dried his body off and rapped the towel around his wast and walked out.

  "Hey Ethan do you have any clothes I can borrow" Jack questioned,

  "yeah man, in the drawer under the beds"

  Jack walked over to the drawer, which was directly under the bed that Craig. Jack bent down and opened the drawer and pulled out a pair of blank skinny jeans and a white top, when he got back up off the floor he looked up to see Craig looking down at him, he turned away with out saying a word and went to the back of the RV and pulled a curtain across. Slipping into the jeans as easy as he could trying not to fall, the putting on the top, in the small space he had to change.

  Jack pulled the curtain back and walked over to Ethan, "so where are we now" Jack questioned Ethan "still a long way from Galway" he replied.

  Jack walked over to Rebecca and Lauren, who were just sitting at the table not even talking, probably think, maybe trying to make sense of all of this. Jack sat across from Lauren, he was about to let a word out but then suddenly the RV swerved an nearly tipped over, causing everyone who wasn't holding on to fall over.

  Lauren nearly fell over the table, Rebecca fell of her chair and Jack fell back on his chair and banged his head off of a press, causing him to go unconscious.

  "JACK JACK JACK!!!" Rebecca was screaming at him to wake up, after a few seconds Jack cracked an eye open, seeing Rebecca and Ethan standing over him. He got up off the ground and seen Lauren at sitting at the table in a tripod position gasping for air. Lauren had a history of asthma attacks and sometimes they could get really bad if not treated.

  "Lauren do you have an inhaler" Jack asked her but she just nodded in a no.

  Ethan and Jack ran to the front of the RV, "we need to get her an inhaler now" Jack stated as he rubbed the back of his head, Ethan looked at the sat nav, "theres a shopping centre about a mile from here, theres most likely a chemist there" Ethan replied "Yeah we have to go there" Jack nodded his head not really thinking it through.

  As they got closer and closer to the centre they could see people running, people that are alive. Craig was still asleep, how does one sleep through all of this, well he was kinda drunk so yeah.

  The RV pulled in to the car park, Ethan tried not to hit anyone. The RV came to a full stop and Jack, Ethan and Rebecca all stud up. "We all can't go, some one needs to stay here and watch the RV and Lauren" Ethan stated "you and Rebecca go, she knows what to get" Jack suggested "Okay" Rebecca relied.

  Rebecca and Ethan both walked out of the RV and ran to the entrance as fast as they could. When they got inside they were greeted with the sight of everybody running in a panic trying to get supplies and then there were the people who were luting.

  Rebecca and Ethan ran to the nearest map to see where a chemist is, they searched the map with there eyes and were scared that they wouldn't find a chemist. Ethan scrolled his eyes onto the top floor where he seen mccabes pharmacy "Rebecca top floor lets go" he grabbed her hand and ran to the nearest stairs.

  They ran up to the firsts floor, they took in there surroundings, people running and tripping over one other. Rebecca and Ethan ran around the firsts floor looking for the second flight of stairs.

  They ran through the first floor, dodging the other people running. They kept running but suddenly and man grabbed Rebecca and was shouting "The end is here, the end is here!!." Rebecca tried to break free of his grasp "let me go!" she pleaded, he wouldn't let go of her arm. "Get off of her" Ethan shouted and punched the guy causing him to fall unconscious, "come on" he said and grabbed her hand once again and continued to run.

  They found the stairs and ran up it leaving them at the top floor, they both looked around the floor, it was the same story as the first two floors, everyone running around.

  Rebecca and Ethan ran a head in search of the chemist. As she ran Rebecca looked into the shop windows along the walls, people fighting and running for the live was all that she could see.

  Ethan could see the green neon cross sign in the distances and with Rebecca he ran to it.

  They ran through the door of the chemist with out thinking of who's in there, they proceeded to the counter where they would keep the inhalers. Rebecca ran be hind the counter, leaving Ethan to keep a look out. Rebecca began to search the selves, one by one she looked at the names of everything on the selves, she got to the second selves when she seen the label "inhalers", she could find a book on the selves. Rebecca got up off of her knees "shit!" she said to her self, suddenly there was a loud bang coming from a room behind her, not wanting to find out what was making the noise she slowly walked away, but remembered what she needs. Rebecca turned to face the door, "store room" was labeled on the door.

  Rebecca slowly walked forward to the door not ready to meet what was on the other side of it. Fear running through her body, she lifted her hand up and grasped the door knob and turned it open.

  Rebecca opened the door fully to reveal the sight of a corpse bent over a dead body, Rebecca slowly backed up, trying not to make any sound, she moved her foot back and hit it off of a metal cup that was lying on the ground, the corpse cracked its head around to her "fuck!!" she shouted. The corpse jumped up and steered at her for a second and suddenly sprinted at her, she began to run backwards but then turned and ran forward to a metal selves.

  Rebecca ran behind the selves and the corpse ran to the shelves but was one the other side, Rebecca tried to push the metal shelves with no luck. she screamed for help but Ethan couldn't hear her.

  Rebecca kept trying to push the shelve down, she put her back on the shelves and used her legs to push it over. She kept pushing as hard as she could and suddenly the shelve fell, crushing the corpse.

  Ethan came running in "where the hell were you" Rebecca screamed at Ethan "keeping a look out, what happened in here" Ethan asked, Rebecca just pointed to the crushed body.

  Rebecca ran into the store room and look on all of the shelves, in one corner there was a pile of inhalers, she took a few and ran out the door with Ethan following behind her....

  :JACK:

  "Where the hell are they" Jack said passing the RV, Lauren tried to speak but it caused her pain."They've been gone for half an hour" Jack said, "Don't worry" Lauren said trying to push the words out of her mouth.

  "Where are we" Crag asked as he got out of bed," well well look who's finally awake" Jack replied with a death stare, if stares could kill he would be 6 feet under. "Guys we don't have time for this" Lauren said trying to break the tension "your right" Jack agreed.

  "Rebecca and Ethan are gone to" Jack got cut of by screaming of panic outside, Jack and Craig went to look out the window, people running and screaming and corpses running after them. They were about to pull away from
the window but suddenly the outside turned into a fire mall from an explosion coming from the entrance of the centre. Jack and Craig both fell back from the fright they got.

  Jack ran to the driving wheel and sat down and fired up the engine, "what are you doing" Craig questioned "We can't stay here, we'll find Rebecca and Ethan" Jack was about to put the RV in drive but suddenly a loud bang came from the door.

  Jack quickly got up out of the chair and ran to the door "its them" he said. Jack open the door and then BANG.......

  :REBECCA AND ETHAN:

  Rebecca and Ethan ran to the entrance of the store, when they were stopped by a man wearing a black jacket, black pants and a black bandana, oh i forgot to say he was carrying a gun, what was he a ninja with led.

  "Give me all you money now!!!" he said in a loud voice "we don't have anything i swear" Ethan said as he began to back away from the man. "Fine, I'll have her then" he said as he went to grab Rebecca but out of now a corpses jumped up on him and dragged him to the ground, he shout the gun when he fell, he dropped the gun as the corpses bit into his neck.

  Ethan grabbed Rebecca's hand and was about to run, but Rebecca bent to the ground and picked up the gun, it was still a bit warm from being fired. Once she had the gun firmly in her hand Ethan pulled her to run.

  They ran out of the shop, into a crowed of people running in a panic as corpses chased after then, some walking and some running. "Come on we have to go" Ethan said pulling at Rebecca's hand. They were both running as fast as they could but suddenly there was an explosion coming from down stairs, it felt like it shock the whole building.

  They kept running, fear was in control. "Ethan in here" Rebecca said as she ran through a door which was marked "Staff Stair's" Ethan ran behind her. They ran into the stair well, "Lets go" Rebecca said as she began running down the stair well.
