Igniting Her Passion

  “Dinner?”

Crystal laughed at him. “What now?”

Vance blinked a few times, gathering his thought.

“Sorry,” he said. “I’m a little drunk. Do you want to get dinner with me sometime?”

“Dinner sounds good to me,” Crystal said, her mood lifting.

“Tomorrow night?” he stated more than asked. “Wear something that accentuates that beautiful butt of yours. Later, gorgeous.”

Crystal watched his silhouette disappear into the night. As she turned the key in her lock, she was surprised to find the house still empty. Petey still wasn’t home yet. As she went through the house flicking on the lights, her eyes caught a slip of paper on the dining room table.

“Out on a date. How does breakfast sound? Love, Petey.”

“Of course he’s still out on a date”, she thought to herself.

She looked at the clock, which read 12:35am. It was still early, technically. Unable to get the evening’s events out of her head, Crystal settled on watching a movie until she passed out.

Being in the house alone always made her antsy. When she was younger, this had resulted in her sneaking out of the house on more than one occasion. It was easy to get out undetected because her bedroom was on the first floor, and her mother rarely checked that she was in her bed. As Crystal flipped through the channels, she felt a wave of loneliness wash over her. She wished someone were there to hang out with her. The house was chilly, and she wanted Vance to come back and hold her, warm her. She imagined making love to her hunky firefighter on the couch, catching Petey off guard when he finally came stumbling home.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Crystal jumped. Was it Vance, coming back for more? Maybe he’d somehow read her mind and was coming back to comfort her. She padded over in her fuzzy pink slippers and opened the door, surprised to find Dan and not Vance. He was leaning his arm against the doorway, smiling sheepishly at her.

“Hello,” she said slowly. “What are you doing here?”

She cursed herself silently for asking that question. What if it scared him off? Some company at this hour might be nice.

“Well,” he sighed. “I was in the neighborhood, so to speak, and I figured I’d stop by and see what you were up to.”

“How did you know where I lived?” Crystal questioned.

“I ran into Vance at the station before I decided to come down. He’s playing cards with the boys.”

  “Oh,” she said.

There was an awkward pause that hung in the air. Crystal looked again at his bright green eyes, the outline of his collarbone through his shirt. She could see the vague outline of abs cascading down his chest. Were all firemen this attractive?

“So can I come in?” he asked.

“Oh! Sorry. Of course you can,” she said. She was thankful that the lights were so dim; he probably couldn’t see her blushing.

As he followed her inside, she felt a chill run down her spine. Memories of his kisses on her skin swirled around her mind. When she turned around, they were practically face-to-face. He had kicked the door shut with his foot. Their faces were inches apart, though her height no match for his. She looked up at him and he smiled.

“Shall we?” he said, gesturing towards the living room.

  “Yeah,” she said slowly.

She wasn’t sure why but something about Dan made her extremely nervous. She sat down on the couch and he plopped down next to her. She had to admit, it was nice to have his body heat against hers.

“What are we watching?” he asked.

“Um, I hadn’t picked anything yet,” she responded.

“Your brother got any porn on this?”

She laughed. “That’s doubtful. How does a chick flick sound?”

Dan groaned. “I guess it’s better than nothing.”

They watched the movie in silence for a few minutes until a violent shiver tore through Crystal.

“Cold?” he asked, holding out the blanket. She nodded and he draped it over them, moving that much closer to her. She could feel the heat radiating from his arm onto hers. Their bodies were just inches away on the couch. All it would take was one motion and they’d be touching. It took everything in Crystal’s body to not look over at him. She tried to see what he was doing out of the corner of his eye, but she quickly abandoned that plan. In an act of itchy desperation, she leaned in closer to him.

  “Bored already?” he asked.

She turned to him and said, “No, I’m just cold.”

They were finally face to face. He leaned in close, his eyes illuminated in the light of the television.

“Allow me to warm you up,” he whispered before kissing her.

She could feel her breath catch in her throat as his heat met hers. He bit her lip, playfully at first, then harder. He dragged it out with her teeth and she felt like he were the predator and she was the prey. He would pull apart her body with his bare teeth until there was nothing left but her still heart, and a pile of bones. He placed his hand on her back and lay her back on the couch. Crystal wanted to ask him what they were doing, but she found she couldn’t coherently form a sentence. He climbed on top of her and raised her wrists above her head. She squirmed nervously beneath him.

“You okay down there?” he joked, tightening his grip.

She could feel her breath becoming ragged in her throat, unable to respond right away.

“You just make me nervous,” she finally said. She bit her lip, regretting her admission of guilt.

“Really now. And why, pray tell, do I make you nervous?” He leaned in close, letting his tongue run up and down her neck. “You’re sweet all over,” he whispered.

She sighed beneath him, enjoying the warmth of his body.

“I, um,” she stuttered. He cut her off with a soft bite to cheek, which was flush with arousal.

He released her from his grip and her hands involuntarily flew to his hair. It was messy and soft. She ran her hands through his hair and down his neck, raking her nails down his back. He pressed into her and she could feel his erection against her sex, making her want him even more.

“Most girls usually don’t touch me like that,” he said.

“Well I’m not most girls,” she responded.

She tugged him closer, wanting his presence to envelop her. He dug his teeth into her collarbone, letting his pearly whites make a trail down to her breasts. He lifted her shirt over her head and began to move his mouth lower. Dan was taking charge and Crystal was more than willing to let him. She offered no protest when he tugged off her pajama pants and then sighed deeply as his tongue brushed against her slit. She dug her hands through his sandy blonde hair, her body rising and falling from his touch. He worked his tongue ferociously all over her; it was unlike anything she’d experienced at the part.

“Sorry,” he said in between licking. “I tend to get a little aggressive.”

  “I don’t mind,” she breathed.

He continued to devour her, his tongue moving faster and harder over her clit. Ponds of pleasure erupted all over her body. She began to touch herself, pulling at her nipples and massaging her breasts. She felt the first tugs of an orgasm not a few minutes later. Dan’s tongue was moving so strongly over her that she couldn’t hold it in any longer. She felt herself spilling onto the couch as an itchy, lightning bolt of pleasure shot through her abdomen.

“Ohhhhh,” she moaned, tugging at his hair. “It’s too much, too sensitive!”

He sat up and wiped his mouth off, giving her a crooked grin. Without a delay, he tugged off his pants and inserted himself inside her. She cooed with pleasure, her hands all over his back again. He pinned her once more to the couch, his hard thrusts creating bursts of pleasure within her. She could feel her face growing red, but she doubted he could see her. The movie had ended a long time ago. Dozens of commercials illuminated the couch, covering their naked bodies in swaths of blue and white.

  “I’m cumming,” Dan called out.
/>   He couldn’t hold it in anymore. She felt too good, too warm. He was going to finish any second. When he did, she tugged him closer and held him there for a few seconds. He felt dizzy with pleasure, his head too heavy to keep upright. He let himself fall onto her chest, digging his face into her neck. He felt her chest rise and fall quickly; he made her nervous, and he could tell.

“Sleep over,” she said, basking in his embrace.

  “Why?” he asked.

“Because I said so,” she responded.

He grunted and rolled off the couch, banging his knee on the coffee table. Crystal went off to the bedroom, dragging her pajamas behind her. Before he ducked into the bathroom, Dan stuck his head around the corner to admire Crystal’s ass.

“Damn,” he said under his breath. He fell asleep as soon as his head hit her pillow.

  “So,” Petey said.

It was twelve in the afternoon. Crystal had slept all day, in part because she didn’t want to talk to Dan when he’d left that morning. She had pretended to be asleep when he was gathering his things.

  “So,” Crystal responded.

“Are you two going out?” Petey prodded.

  Crystal blushed. “Um. It’s complicated.”

“How is it complicated?” he teased her. “He’s slept here overnight. It seems pretty simple to me.”

“Well, see, there’s this other guy,” Crystal said.

Petey smiled wickedly. “Oh, so you’re giving me the whole ‘it’s so complicated and there’s another guy’ speech.”

Crystal laughed and gave her brother a nod. “Basically.”

“Have you explain this to either of them?”

“No,” she sighed. “Why are you so interested?”

Petey laughed at her. She felt her neck becoming flushed, realizing she still didn’t have an answer for Petey’s question. It was true; she had no idea what was going on. She had feelings for both Vance and Dan and no idea what to do about it. All she knew was that they both made her feel alive. She was hungry for them, in a way she’d never hungered before.

Petey pushed away from the table and placed his dishes in the sink. He was heading off to a lunch with his friends. Crystal was supposed to meet Dan and Vance for lunch. She felt a quivering in her groin at the thought of being around the both of them at the same time. Vance knew she’d been sleeping with Dan, and she knew Vance was sleeping with other women. Neither particularly cared. In fact, she was certain it turned them on more to know they had been sharing her.

Crystal changed and took a shower then delayed the inevitable by blow-drying her hair. It was still nice out, the spell of summer had yet to break. Crystal took a pair of black leather boots out of her closet. She wore a small black dress and a leather jacket. She left her hair down. Around her neck, she wore a necklace with half a moon hanging from it. It dangled saintly between her breasts, attracting attention to her cleavage. Crystal grabbed her keys from the kitchen table and breezed out the door.

The restaurant she was meeting her men at was called Azure. It was located in the heart of the town, and owned by a large woman called Kitty. Kitty kept her restaurant open most of the day and night, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner at all hours. It reminded Crystal of a diner, but the food was ten times better than diner food. The inside of the restaurant was bright blue and there were electric blue lights hanging around its perimeter. There was a deck that stretched around the restaurant, built on a sea of bright grass. As Crystal walked, she became more and more anxious. She didn’t want to choose between Dan and Vance. She wanted to continue bedding both of them until they all got sick of each other. Maybe they would make things easier on her, and choose for her. But what if that meant they both left? She couldn’t bear the thought.

When she arrived at the restaurant, she saw both men in suits, laughing and drinking bears on the side deck. They were in the midst of what seemed to be an engrossing conversation. She walked past the hostess, who stared at her jealously. Crystal was used to that kind of negative attention. She’d gotten it all the time from girls at college, and her hometown was no different. As she approached, she caught snippets of their conversation. They were talking about an old firefighter story, one that involved somebody’s cat. Dan laughed at everything Vance was saying; Vance was waving his hands around wildly, gesticulating every aspect of the story. Crystal watched as he almost knocked over his beer glass. The closer she got, the more she felt her heart crawling towards her throat. They seemed to sense her at the same time, turning around to greet her.

“Hey,” Dan said, moving his chair aside for her to join.

“Hey, how are you?” Vance asked.

“Oh, I’m fine,” Crystal said. “How are you two doing? I see you’ve been having an interesting conversation.”

“Yeah, Vance was just telling me one of his stories about how he first became a firefighter.”

“I like your boots,” Vance said, ignoring Dan’s explanation.

Dan glanced at Crystal out of the corner of his eye while taking a sip of his beer. They continued to talk, this time including Crystal in the conversation. They discussed what they had been up to the past week, including when they hung out with Crystal. To her surprise, Dan was fairly quiet during those parts of the talk. Vance was the one dominating the conversation; talking about how beautiful Crystal had looked lying on her bed. She smiled politely at Vance as he spoke, more concerned with the man sitting next to her than the one speaking wildly across from her. She wanted to know what Dan was thinking, and why he was so silent. She had a hunch it had something to do with her, and maybe it had something to do with jealousy. However, she didn’t want to say anything to him for fear of being wrong. He would no doubt tease her endlessly, making fun of her for caring about him. She settled for silence, listening intently to Vance’s conversation. She noticed that he was confident and cocky, quite firm in his opinions.

Dan was the same, to a degree. He seemed to stay silent very time he felt that Vance had the upper hand. If Vance were talking about hooking up with Crystal and getting her to orgasm, Dan would smirk silently at his beer bottle. Crystal silently thanked Vance for picking a table that was far away from the other customers. She didn’t care anyone eavesdropping about her sex life. It was embarrassing enough to be back in town. The people whispered about her with reckless abandon, not caring if she heard them or not. It didn’t embarrass her, but she definitely didn’t like it.

How she was sitting with two hot firefighters recounting their sexual conquests of her, made little sense to Crystal. She was a girl of decent attraction, but she wasn’t the most beautiful woman in the town. They could have had anyone in any way, shape, or form. Why had they chosen her? Every time she’d asked one of them, they’d avoided answering.

The previous night, when Dan had come over, she’d decided to ask him. They had been taking a walk around the neighborhood, having a lighthearted discussion while kicking stones. She was swinging her hips into him, teasing him at every opportunity. He would reciprocate every other time, eating up her attention. They walked towards an aging dock that fed out onto a small green lake.

“I bet it’s full of piranhas,” Dan joked.

“Yeah, that and snapping turtles,” she responded.

They walked to the edge of the dock and sat down, dangling their legs in the water. In the distance, there was the sound of a small form breaking the surface of the water.

“Hey, an actual snapping turtle,” he said.

  “How cool,” she’d responded distractedly.

Crystal sat awkwardly in for a few moments before beginning again. “So…”

  “Yeah?” Dan responded.

“Can I ask you a question?”

“Anything you want,” he said with a bit of a nervous tone.

Crystal gulped, working up the courage to continue.

  “Why do you like me?”

It was slight, but she’d felt him seize up next to her. He didn’t respond fo
r a few seconds, and when he did, he was only playing the game. It bothered her that he was never able to allow himself to let go. She wondered who had hurt him in the past into hiding his emotions.

“Why? Do you like me?” he asked in an attempt to not answer directly.

“I mean, of course I like you,” Crystal said.

He laughed and threw stones at the water. Nothing more was said about the topic. She was left wrapped up in a silence that ate away at her very core. If she were going to get an answer out of Dan or Vance, it would have to be when they were drunk.
