Desired by the Billionaire 4 (Loved By Him)

"You bastard!" Paige struggled against the guard that carried her. She wanted to kill him. Wanted to make him suffer. She could see the gun he carried in his hands and at that moment in time with Will lying on the floor Paige honestly didn't care if Chris shot her or not. Death would be a welcome peace to the pain that was currently trying to rip her insides from her body.
Chris smiled at her. He didn't say a word just lifted his hand with the gun and hit her across the face. Stars exploded in Paige's vision and then there was nothing but darkness. A darkness in which she couldn't find Will.
***
Her head ached and her face was wet. Paige could taste blood in her mouth but she knew from the pain that radiated through her that she was still very much alive. Cement dust stung her eyes as she struggled to sit up. She wasn't bound and for that she was grateful.
An eerie silence filled the place. It wasn't like the first time she had been here and she couldn't help but wonder what was going on. The sound of a door in the corridor opening and slamming shut had Paige cowering in the corner. Someone was coming and she knew from experience that what was going to happen next she wouldn't like it.
Her body ached and her head was hammering but it was her heart that hurt the most. Try as she might Paige couldn't shake the image of Will on the floor in a pool of blood from her mind. It couldn't be real. But deep down she knew it was. She had watched him be shot. Watched as he hit the floor...
Paige tried to shake the image from her head as Chris shoved the cell door open. Blood ran down the side of his head and he was covered in dirt. His shirt and trousers were ruined and as he made his way into the room he was breathing hard as though someone had chased him all the way here.
Paige stood and pressed her body as close against the wall as she could. Chris smiled at her and pulled a gun from the waist band of his trousers, aiming it squarely at her chest.
"You're my ticket out of here." He whispered as he moved towards her, the gun never wavering. Paige edged along the wall towards the door. If she could help it she wasn't going to help Chris do anything.
"What happened up there?" Paige asked, hoping that by keeping him talking she could distract him long enough to escape.
"Police everywhere... It's ruined, all of it spoiled by you and him... You know I had expected more from him as he died... It was all so quick and silent, I like people to let me know the pain they are experiencing..." Chris rambled on.
His words tore at Paige's heart making her anger rise to the surface. She wanted to rip him apart. Make him suffer the way she was.
Chris edged closer as Paige was distracted by her thoughts of revenge. The door to the cell banged open and Paige almost fainted at the sight of who stood framed in the light from the hall.
Chris used her surprise to his advantage and lunged for Paige. His arm wrapping tightly around her neck cutting off her air supply.
"Let her go, Chris. It's over." Will's voice was strong. His face was pale and Paige could see that it hurt to hold the gun aimed at Chris.
"Will..." The word came out in a choked whisper. Tears blurred Paige's eyes as she stared at him. She hadn't wanted him dead and now here he was. Standing in the door like some sort of avenging angel.
"I shot you... You were dead..." Chris's voice shook as he pressed the gun in against Paige's cheek.
Will shook his head and smiled grimly. "I've been injured far worse than that in the past. Your men are incompetent fools. They never even checked to see if I was alive or dead all I had to do was lie there and await my opportunity... Let her go." Will's voice dropped even lower taking a menacing tone.
Chris pushed the gun in against Paige's face a little harder making her suck in a deep hiss of breath. "I'm getting out of here and she is coming with me..."
Will shook his head and narrowed his eyes. "No you're not. And the only person Paige is leaving with is me..."
It felt as though all of the air had been sucked out of the room. Paige found it difficult to breathe around the tension and it wasn't just because Chris's arm was digging into her wind pipe. She felt Chris tensing from the corner of her eye she could see his finger shaking on the trigger.
When it happened it had happened too fast for Paige to follow. One minute Chris had the gun pressed in against her face and the next he was aiming at Will. But Will had thought ahead of Chris.
The gunshot rang out. Paige squeezed her eyes shut. She wasn't sure who should feel the sting of the gunshot. It wasn't until Chris's legs buckled beneath him and he collapsed that she knew for certain. His sudden movement took Paige down with him. The floor rushed up to meet her and she used her arms to brace herself against the impact.
The feel of strong arms around her made her open her eyes once more. She stared up into Will's pale face and couldn't stop the tears of joy from escaping her eyes.
"I thought you were dead... You were so still..."
Will looked sheepish. "I'm so sorry, I didn't have a choice. If I hadn't pretended then Chris would have had me shot point blank... I'm good but not even I can survive a shot to the head..."
Paige sat up and threw her arms around Will's shoulders making him wince. "Gentle love, I was really shot..."
Paige drew back out of his arms and stood with his help. She glanced back at Chris. His eyes were still open and he wore a surprised expression on his face but there was no mistaking the gunshot wound in his head. He wouldn't be terrorising anyone else.
"How did the police get here?" Paige asked as they made their way back down the corridor and out into the throng of cops that had swarmed all over the house.
"Aidan called them in. Lucky for us that he called them in when he did. If he had waited even a little while longer I'm not sure any of us would have walked away from this..." Will added.
Paige nodded thoughtfully. "Did he find Bella?"
Will nodded but he looked solemn and Paige feared the worst.
"He did. But she's in a really bad way... She's still in a coma, for helping you Chris beat her to within an inch of her life... I got a glimpse of her as they wheeled her away and I'm not sure how it'll turn out for her... I don't think anyone is but there is hope. She did survive the beating and that is a start."
Tears filled Paige's eyes. It was all her fault. If Bella hadn't helped her then it would be Paige that they wheeled away. Paige was certain that she wasn't strong enough to have survived, not the way Bella did. Chris was cruel and Paige had witnessed firsthand exactly what he was like. What Bella had suffered Paige could only imagine. She shuddered as she thought about it.
A paramedic arrived beside her and Will, immediately assessing their wounds and insisting they both go to hospital. Paige only agreed as long as she was allowed to travel with Will. She had lost him once she wasn't prepared to do it again.
***
Two days after the ordeal and Paige was finally allowed to leave the hospital. The doctors had worried that with her head trauma that she might have more serious injuries that her shock was masking. But she had been fine, apart from the cuts and bruising she felt fine.
"Are you ready to go home?" Will asked as he walked into the room. He wrapped his arms around her waist as he rested his head on her shoulder.
Grinning Paige nodded. "Yes, finally. I thought they'd never let me out of here."
Will looked serious and kissed the bandage that covered her forehead. "Well they had to be sure that your head would be alright... I mean the things I plan to do to you once I get you back in my bed... Well, the doctors were told to make sure you would be up to some rather vigorous exercise."
Paige looked mortified and turned in Will's arms to stare into his eyes. "You're joking. You never told them anything of the sort."
Will managed to keep a straight face for a few minutes more before finally bursting into laughter. "It was worth it just to see the look on your face." He said trying to catch his breath.
Paige laughed along with him but there was something niggling at the back of her min
d. "What happens when we get home... What happens with us?" She asked, trembling. She was unsure of what his answer was going to be. He could very easily break her heart and Paige had been through more than enough.
Perhaps when they got home Will wouldn't want to see her anymore and if he didn't... She knew that he had said he wanted her in his bed. But if that was all this was... A good time in bed and now that the threat was gone. Well now they were left with just each other. Maybe he wouldn't want her. He might find her boring.
Will pressed his lips against hers, his kiss possessive. It told Paige everything she needed to know.
Leaving her breathless Will drew back and cupped her face gently with his hands.
"When we get home you'll be moving in with me... You have some family of mine to meet first, well again... And I want to meet your family again, its been years. But I have a feeling that I'll be asking you a very important question in the not too distant future. I'm only telling you this now because I know how your mind works. I don't want there to be any doubts between us. I love you, and I want you as long as you still want me..." Will looked hopeful and it reminded Paige of when he was younger and they were little more than children running free through the long grass.
"Yes, I want you and I love you... The answer is yes..."
Will smiled and the look of his youth was gone, replaced instead with an all male smile. A smile that was sure of the woman he was with. One that promised all manner of dark pleasures.
"I haven't asked you the question yet." He grinned and pulled something from his pocket.
Paige gasped as she spotted the collar dangling from his fingers. "But perhaps I can use this in place of the question... For now..." Will's look challenged her. It was as though he was daring her to say no. And the old Paige would have said no. But not anymore. She loved and trusted him. He wouldn't do something to hurt her and he wasn't about to abuse the power that gave him.
Paige smiled and turned, exposing her neck by pulling her hair out of the way. Will kissed the back of her neck and settled the collar into place but he didn't close it.
"That is all the answer I needed love... You don't have to wear it..."
He released her and turned Paige back around in his arms. The love he felt for her filled his eyes and it made Paige want to cry with joy. But she didn't. Instead she lifted her hands and fastened the collar herself. The leather moulding to her skin in a comforting way.
"I'm yours, Will and I don't care who knows it... Take me home..."
He grinned and kissed her once more, the embrace deepening until they were both swept away on a sea of passion. Together they could conquer anything. Paige really did belong to him and what they had gone to together had more than proved it. In his arms was happiness, and a promise of forever.
