They were both where they were meant to be. Finally, together. It didn’t get any better than that.

There was a Commander coming. Earth Corp didn't take to losing a Space Station very well. It didn’t matter that they'd left the population to get on with it. We’re unwilling to risk their own ships against the pirates taking over the sector. They’d lost money and money talks.
It wasn't a problem until it was. Then, they wanted answers. Who'd let it fall into pirate hands, decimating the population and then, allowed Cyborgs to take it? It was her job to get those answers. If they employed her, they had more than just a problem. Her services didn't come cheap, but she came with resources. Resources, that would be needed to deal with this one.
She would do what she did best. Find those responsible and crush them, then deliver the punishment ordered.
The Cyborgs were another matter. They'd declared the Station as in their space, and under their protection. They were not giving it back. In fact, they'd put out job ads encouraging people to apply! That was a first. Morgan had never seen that done before. There was more going on here than they knew and it was her job to find out what.
She had this. A job was a job and her boys were more than a match for the Empire. They would strip out the dead wood and hold those accountable. It wasn't her first time in someone else's back yard and they’d better stay out of her way….

PAIN.... He'd earn't his name in some of the most deadly engagements the war had to offer. Now he battled for his brothers, to have a life, to be free, to protect those that needed it and to find their future.
So why they were putting up with this political bullshit, he did not know. They were Cyborgs. They fought. Took out the trash. Simple. They didn't do meet and greet. Or they didn't, till now. Having a Space Station to protect and the Admiral taking a wife, had changed things.
And he had his orders. Wait at the docks for this Commander to arrive. Be nice, the Admirals mate had told him. Do what he was good at, she'd told him. Infiltrate and get information. Put on a 'good show.' Show some 'personality.' Pain mentally shook himself. He had no idea what she was talking about. There was little logic in the female.
He was the Admiral’s number 2. Specialist in electronic systems and infiltration. This was a distraction he did not need or want. This Station was theirs. They’d taken it fairly and the humans had survived because they had. It was their future, not Earth Corps.
He surveyed the newcomers disembarking from the cruiser. His patience waning. His systems scanning automatically for who he was looking for. The second he saw her he knew. Pure military. All woman. No one mentioned the Commander was female.
Pain zeroed in on her with his optic, enjoying the view. It had been a while since he'd had a Commander.
Scenting the air, he searched for her unique scent. Filtering out everything else until her delicate sweet notes reached his nose and his cock hardened. Pain smiled. He hadn't expected that, anticipation of what was to come, filtered across his sensors and headed south. He was deliciously uncomfortable and she was all business and wasn't going to like this …
His systems fired, his blood heating. Mate, called out across his mind. He always did like a challenge ....

A word from the Author.
Hello, I'm Jessie and I thank you for buying this book! I know you did not have to.
There are so many choices out there. It's a wonderful feeling knowing that someone else will enjoy one of my stories. And for me, it's about telling a story that I'd like to read myself.
I am not caught up in POV or literacy genius. It's simply not me or my style and I will never be that person, so I apologize to all those who are focused on the POV and the genius of literacy. I envy those that are.
On the days where my pain and meds stop my thinking processes, writing these books have been my lifeline. It reminds me that I still have the ability to rise to the challenge and that I refuse to go quietly into the night. God forbid!
But, I'm a person just like you, who wants to bring some passion into my life and yours, and put a good story out there that's hard to put down, that brings some escapism, sexy fun and pleasure into your reading. We all love a bit of that!
And, I hope I achieve that for you in this book. I sincerely hope you enjoy it so much that you want to look out for the next in the series. (Coming soon) And if I'm lucky, you will have had such a good time, you'll recommend it to your friends and I thank you kindly.
My very best wishes to you and yours. Jessie x

CHAPTER ONE
Morgan looked around the disembarkation area. The overhead audio system was telling them they had arrived at the Olorian Sys
tem Port, Space Station Delta. Not surprising, the area was mainly full of females. She shook her head. It still bothered her. Why so many women? The entire four-month trip, even with those new engines had grated. It had felt like a bloody bridal ship. It made her sick. All that priming and pawing and those poor Cyborgs. Morgan gave a distasteful look at the women around her. Some just didn’t leave them alone. Even after being told it was a waste of their time. Cyborgs didn’t work like that.
More than once, she’d had to step in and pissed off some of the women. Did she care? Not one fuck. How the Cyborgs tolerated the unwanted attention, she did not know. Memories tried to surface she did not want. Morgan shut them, the fuck down. She didn’t need that.
Her information was clear. The station had been raided and had lost a lot of good, harmless hardworking women, in the most horrendous evil. She got that and was angry, dam angry, it happened. She’d seen plenty of atrocities in her line of work. Those women should have been able to fight. Should have been trained to defend and protect themselves, in the middle of nowhere. What the hell were the bosses thinking? In a world dominated by men and nasty ones at that, a woman needed to be able to protect herself and her family. It should have been a priority. Why wasn’t it? She asked herself for the umptieth time. The reports had told her a lot. She shook her head. Any dam weapon would do and there were plenty in a kitchen, in a shop, every bloody where!
Morgan breathed out slowly, looking for some calm in the chaos around her. She was being unfair. She knew it and it grated. These women with all their frills and paint, were in for a world of hurt if they weren’t prepared. Her intel told her, the women that had died, had had little chance and those poor children. Morgan didn’t want to think about it. It dragged up too many memories she’d rather forget. Anger hit her hard. Where were the fucking defences Earth Corp had installed? How the fuck, had they got on the Station to start with, with all the security measures? Morgan gritted her teeth. Someone would answer for this. No wonder, they’d asked her to look into it rather than the Justices. Heads would roll for this. They’d lost a god dam Space Station!
“Morgan.” She tried not to cringe, at hearing the voice she knew. It hadn’t mattered how unfriendly she’d been during the trip. The girl never got it and had started to creep into her affections. It was a complication Morgan didn’t need, but the girl and she was a girl, all bright and sparkly seeing the good in everything and everyone, just wouldn’t let it go. It was hard to ignore her and not want to ……… care. Who would protect her? Seared into Morgan’s brain, her protective instincts kicking in. She sighed defeated, and turned towards the voice coming at her.
“O my god, isn’t this so exciting?” Bounced the voice dragging her overly large suitcases. Morgan wasn’t sure what the girl was thinking but clearly, travelling light, did not make the equation. Morgan wasn’t sure why the girl kept trying to include her. The others on board didn’t get it either. Morgan had caught more than one, looking strangely at her during the voyage. Once she’d given them the brush off, they’d got the message. Several looked over now and shuddered. The first genuine smile hit Morgan’s mouth. Boo-ya!
She suppressed the smile at the girl’s enthusiasm. Morgan hoped she didn’t lose that out here. “Hay Sarah, you got enough luggage there?” She asked indicating the bags Sarah was pulling through the crowd. Sarah laughed, it was light and infectious. Coming to a stop in front of her she leaned forward conspiring.
“I don’t think I do.” Morgan rolled her eyes. Seriously, the girl could open a shop!
Morgan shook her head. “I think you’ll be ok.” Sarah smiled at her. The girl was beautiful and difficult to resist. A sense of unease swept across Morgan. She reached out and squeezed her arm. “Be safe ok and stay away from the Cyborgs.” Morgan hoped she got the warning.
Several of the Cyborgs standing around moving people forward looked her way. Excellent hearing. Check. “They won’t hurt me.” Sarah was telling her sounding confused.
Morgan gave her a slight shake of her head. “Did you watch the information vid?” Sarah nodded. “Then you know they are unique. A dominant species. Born to war and take orders. Being free, has not changed that much but they are curious to explore things. We do not know how that has manifested itself in these Cyborgs.
If you allow yourself to be involved with one, it is likely that it will not last passed the curiosity. They are unlikely to emotionally bond, it’s rare but are likely, to demand from you physically, more than you are willing to give. There are no boundaries to their sexual play Sarah. They can be…. persuasive and you will have to live with the aftermath. So be wise. Do you understand? There’s no way off this station till the next cruiser arrives.” Morgan told her pointedly.
Sarah laughed. “Don’t worry about me Morgan, I’m going to be ok. We should meet later for drinks.” Sarah looked at her data pad and rambled on. “I’m not sure where I’m staying yet, it hasn’t been confirmed but we could meet up in the Gallerea by the lifts and get something to eat and drink. Say 7ish?”
Morgan didn’t want to upset her. But it was the last thing she needed. She blew out a breath. “Sure ok.”
The officer she was waiting on came back at that moment. “Your good to go Commander. Thank you for travelling with us and good luck.” He pressed something on his data pad and Morgan’s pinged.
She turned back to Sarah. “Ok remember what I said, gotta go. I’ll see you later.” Sarah gave her a beaming smile and waved her off. That girl didn’t stand a chance, filtered across her mind. Morgan worried. She stopped, then turned back. “Self defence classes start tomorrow, I expect to see you, I’ll tell you all about it later ok.” Sarah grinned wider and bobbed her head.
Shit. Complications already. She’d intended to sort out getting some classes started, if nothing else had been set up. No women should be vulnerable. Now, she’d have to do it.
Morgan pushed her way through to the off ramp. Raised her data pad for scanning by the Cyborg standing here. It bleeped and he nodded for her to go. Morgan stepped forward and automatically took in everything around her, the security, the setup, the people and exits. It was a large docking area, the specs she’d been given, looked to be right so far. She slung her kit bag over her shoulder. She was dressed for what she was, a solider on deployment. She had a job to do. And marched down the platform.
Pain got the beep on his data pad. The Commander was passed to disembark. Then a couple of minutes later, his Cyborg bleeped that the Commander had been processed and was exiting the ship. About dam time. He’d wasted enough time on this task. Pain looked up. In the sea of voices and bodies, people coming off and milling about, mainly females, one stood out. All military. Every inch of her shouted, fuck off. Pain smiled. A female Commander. It had been a while.
Pain moved from his position and stepped forward “Commander.” The female turned towards him. “I’m your escort. Commander Pain.” Pain held out his hand. She looked at it, then at him.
“Since when to Cyborgs use human mannerisms?” Pain couldn’t tell what she was thinking and it bothered him. Annoyed him. He pulled his hand back. He felt …… awkward. She was right, it was a human mannerism. They’d started doing it to blend in.
“Can I take your bag for you?” He asked trying to re-gain his control of the situation.
“Not necessary.” She blinked dismissively at him and looked around. She’d taken control again realised Pain, with just a blink.
“This way.” Pain turned and walked off. She wanted ‘by-the-book’? Fine. He could do that. For a while anyway….
Morgan walked behind the Cyborg registering the new defences, security and the number of Cyborg’s on patrol. That was an improvement on the information she’d received. Good, it was needed. She reflected. From what she’d read, the security was piss poor before the raid. As they approached a lift, the doors opened automatically and her escort stepped in. She followed. The doors closed and the lift rose. Morgan noticed that he hadn’t touched anythi
ng, so she guessed Pain’s neuro net still worked. The doors opened and he walked forward into an open space. The Gallerea, top of the shop.
Morgan did what was instinctive in a new place. Checked and registered the area, exits and the people in it. What hit her most, was the massive globe of glass above her head. She couldn’t help but look up. The whole top of the Gallerea looked like it was open to Space. A fine network of metal latticework, supported massive glass panels, gave it a globe affect. Lights shone out into Space, picking up specks of light across the Universe and the ships coming and going. It was spectacular, she had to give them that. The air was fresher too, she noticed. It gave it a sense of the heavens from being land based. That was unique in Space. Someone had done a fine job in creating this, she marvelled, realising the skill it must have taken and that she’d never encountered anything like it before.
Pain was still moving and Morgan double timed it to catch up. She noticed a gym. Morgan kept in good shape so that would be helpful. Several restaurants, cafés, bars, a park area, theatre. Was that a band stand? She checked out as the passed. A new sign was being put up saying ‘Theatre’ beyond it and several more restaurants and bars around it. Up ahead she noticed, a serious medical centre and then security. The whole thing had an old school village feel about it. Even down to the cop patrol, only this one was Cyborg. It was tight. She was glad to see it.
