by Rachel Wilson

“Yeah I can see why.” Allison said, looking up.

“Even better to experience it with a beautiful girl.” He said, pulling her into a kiss.

Allison kissed him back. She couldn’t believe that she’d kissed three guys in a week.

  “I agree.” Allison whispered.

Zack slung his arm around her and pulled her close. He snapped a photo and kissed her cheek. Allison giggled.

“This should totally be my profile pic.” He said.

“You with a girl you just met? Sounds kind of off to me.” Allison said.

“It’s in front of the Eiffel Tower. It’s not off.” Zack said.

“That’s the kind of stuff that you do with your family not some random girl.” She said.

Zack laughed. “I’ve never heard that rule.”

“I think it’s written down in some travel guide somewhere.” Allison said, laughing too.

“Good thing I don’t read travel guides.” He said, leaning in for another kiss.

“I don’t either.” She admitted when he pulled away.

“I kind of figured that.” He said.

  Allison grinned.

“Where do you want to go next?” Zack asked.

  “I don’t care.” Allison replied.

“Do you want to head back to your room?” he asked.

  “We can.” She said.

  Chapter Three

They trailed back to her apartment and went inside. Allison ordered room service. Zack leaned forward and kissed her. She kissed him back. His hands moved up and down her sides as they kissed. Allison felt bad but she wasn’t into it at all. When he went to lift her shirt up, Allison gently pushed him away.

“Did I do something wrong?” he asked.

“I just don’t want to move that fast.” She said.

  Zack sighed. “That sucks.”

“We did just meet.” Allison pointed out.

“I know but we’ve been kissing. All I want is a step above that.” Zack said.

“You don’t want sex?” she asked.

“Of course I do, but we don’t have to do that now.” He said.

Zack pulled her back into a kiss, moving his hand down her pants. He rubbed her pussy through her panties. Allison kissed him back, moaning a bit.

The person who did room service knocked on the door. Allison untangled herself to answer it. Zack sighed again.

“What?” Allison asked when the man was gone.

“I just want to touch you.” Zack said.

“Don’t you think we’re moving kind of fast?” she asked.

  “No I don’t.” he said.

  “I do.” Allison said.

Zack sighed. “Do you want me to go?”

“You can stay. You just have to realize that you aren’t going to score tonight.” She said.

“I think I’d better go.” He said, getting up.

Allison felt crushed as Zack walked away. She decided to indulge in the room service anyway.

Wednesday, Allison dressed in the dress Darren had bought her and a pair of dark green boots. She met Darren in front of her building.

“You look really nice.” He said.

  “Thank you.” She said.

Darren was dressed in a black tuxedo with a dark blue tie and white shirt.

“You clean up nicely yourself.” Allison added.

“Well thank you.” He said, smiling.

Darren offered her his arm. She took it. They walked to a fancy restaurant nearby. A waitress walked toward them.

  “Two.” Darren said.

The woman nodded and led them to a table. Darren held out Allison’s chair and she sat down. Then Darren sat down. They ordered drinks. Allison studied her menu. The waitress came back with their drinks and took their orders.

“So how have you been?” Allison asked.

“Not bad. How about you?” Darren asked.

“Good. Have you had any luck finding a job?” she asked.

“Not much no. I expected that.” He said.

Allison smiled. “I think anyone does. You’ll find something though.”

“I’m sure I will.” Darren said.

“I am so glad I don’t have to go through that stress though.” She said.

“Do you want to help me some more tomorrow?” Darren asked.

  “I’d love to.” Allison replied.

  “Great.” He said.

  They started eating.

“This stuff is really good.” She commented.

  Darren nodded. “I agree.”

They ate some more. Allison finished her plate.

“Do you want dessert?” she asked.

“I don’t think so. Do you?” Darren replied.

“I don’t think so. Do you want to come back to my place for a while?” Allison asked.

  “I can.” He replied.

They walked hand and hand back to Allison’s room. Once there they sat on the bed. Allison kissed Darren. He kissed her back.

“I really like you. You’re unlike any girl I’ve met here.” He said.

“You’ve been meeting other girls?” Allison asked.

“Just a few. Haven’t you been meeting other guys?” Darren asked.

“Just a few.” Allison admitted, smiling.

“How do I measure up?” he asked.

“You measure up pretty well.” She said.

“Oh so there’s someone you like better?” Darren asked.

Allison shrugged. “There might be but then again there might not be.”

Darren groaned. “You’re toying with me huh?”

“Yeah I guess I am.” Allison said, smiling.

Darren grinned. “I really do like you.”

“You’re a fun guy to be around too Darren.” Allison said.

Darren pulled her into a kiss. They kissed for a while.

“So do you want to get a bottle of wine or something?” Allison asked after a while.

“No I actually need to go sorry.” Darren said.

  “It’s fine.” She said.

They hugged before he left. Allison did some things to unwind before bed.

The next day, Allison met Darren downstairs to go job hunting.

“Thanks for doing this with me.” He said.

  “Not a problem.” She said.

They walked to the other side of town. Darren ran in and out of shops getting applications. Then he sat down to fill them out.

“Do you know what we should do? We should go to the Italie Deux.” Allison said.

“For me a job?” Darren asked.

“Yes and for me to shop. Good way to kill two birds with one stone.” She said.

“Not a bad idea. Not too much shopping though.” He said.

  “Got it.” Allison said.

They headed over to the Italie Deux. Allison shopped a bit while Darren filled out job applications.

“I think I want some lunch. Would you care for some?” he asked.

  Allison agreed.

They found a café nearby and ordered lunch. Their food came soon after.

“So do you have any plans for this weekend?” Darren asked.

“Yeah I’m going to a waterpark with a friend.” Allison said.

“Awesome. I don’t have any plans. Do you think that you can squeeze me in?” Darren asked.

“I’m sure I can on Sunday.” Allison replied.

  “Cool.” He said.

“Yupp. What do you want to do?” she asked.

“I don’t know. I was thinking we could do something different.” Darren said.

“Sounds good. I’m always up for that.” She said.

“Great. I’ll think of something and text you.” He said.

“I’ll do the same, and we’ll figure it out.” Allison said.

  “Great.” Darren said.

  They finished eating.

“Do you want to walk around a little more with me?” Darren asked.

  “Sure.” She said.

  T
hey walked in and out of a few restaurants. Darren got a phone call. He moved away from Allison for a few minutes. Then he moved back to her.

“I need to go. I’m sorry. I have a job interview.” He said, looking frazzled.

“That quick? That’s great! Good luck!” Allison said.

“Can I walk you home?” he asked.

Allison agreed. He walked her home. They kissed goodbye in front of her building.

Allison decided to do some shopping on her own. She ended up buying a couple of new outfits before seeing a few new sights. Then she headed back to her room.

Friday, Allison did her own thing. She couldn’t wait to go to the water park with Jeb. She made sure that she had everything she needed.

The next morning, Jeb met her at the entrance to her building.

“I looked up this place. It’s called AquaBoulevard. It sounds really fun.” Jeb said.

  “Perfect.” Allison agreed.

They got in his car and he drove them to it. Allison squealed when they were outside. Jeb smiled.

They went in and out to the water park area.

“What would you like to do first?” Jeb asked.

Allison looked around. “I don’t even know. Something fast.”

Jeb agreed. They tried a few different water slides. Then Jeb suggested they go to the beach outside so they did. Allison had fun splashing around and relaxing out there. Then they rode more water slides.

Then Jeb suggested they get lunch at McDonalds. Allison agreed. They wandered over and got some food.

“I’m having a lot of fun.” Allison said.

“Me too. I haven’t had this much fun in a while.” Jeb said.

“Me either.” She said, someone catching her eye.

That can’t be who I think it is. Can it? It just can’t be Allison told herself. She was almost positive Darren was there with his arm around the waist of a curvy blonde girl. He’d never told her about that. Then again she’d never told him about Jeb or Zack either. Maybe I have no right to be mad. I still feel like I should say something Allison thought.

“Do you know that guy?” Jeb asked.

Allison froze. She realized then she’d never really told Jeb about Zack or Darren either. “Yeah I do.” She hung her head.

“Do you need to go talk to him?” Jeb asked.

“I think so. I’ll be back.” Allison said.

She walked over to where Darren was standing in line and knocked against him gently.

  “Oh sorry.” She said insincerely.

  Darren whirled around. “Ally?”

  Allison nodded.

“Ally this is Violet, my girlfriend. Violet this is Ally. We know each other from a club night.” Darren said.

“Hi pretty name. Can I have a minute alone with him?” Allison asked.

Violet just stared at her. Allison took Darren’s hand and led him away.

“Are you going to explain?” Allison hissed.

“I told you that I’ve been seeing other girls. I just didn’t mention that I had a steady one from back home. We were supposed to be on break for the summer. She came up here to surprise me. It was her who called yesterday. I didn’t know how to tell you.” Darren said.

Allison let that sink in. “I guess I shouldn’t really be mad, but I am.”

“I understand. I saw that guy you were sitting with though. Who’s that?” he asked.

“His name’s Jeb. I’ve been seeing him too.” Allison said.

“You’re doing the same thing.” Darren said.

“None of you are my boyfriends. We’re just hanging out. That’s your girlfriend!” Allison said.

“We just got back together. I haven’t been lying to you.” He responded.

“It feels like you’ve been lying.” She said.

“I know.” He said, hanging his head.

“I’m going to tell her about us it’s only fair.” Allison said.

“Ally, don’t, I don’t want her to think I was getting over her.” Darren said.

“She deserves to know. How long have you guys been together?” Allison asked.

“On and off for five years.” Darren said.

  Allison marched over to Violet.

“We need to talk.” Allison said.

“So start talking.” Violet said, narrowing her eyes.

“I’ve been dating your boyfriend.” Allison admitted.

Violet stared at her, open mouthed.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t know that he had anybody serious.” Allison plunged on.

“I believe you. We had broken up a few months ago. I suppose that he was allowed to do whatever he wanted.” Violet said.

  “I suppose.” Allison said.

“Thanks for letting me know the deal. I’ll see you around.” Violet said, strolling over to Darren.

Allison hoped that she hadn’t ruined everything between the couple. It hadn’t sounded like she had.

Allison approached Jeb. She swung herself down in the seat across from him.

“I guess I should tell you what’s going on.” Allison said.

  “Go for it.” He said.

“I met three guys when I first got here and I’ve hanging out with all three of you.” She said.

  Jeb started laughing.

  “What?” she demanded.

“I understand. I’m not trying to marry you.” He said.

“I really do like you though.” Allison said.

“It’s not that I don’t like you.” Jeb said.

“You just don’t see it going any farther than it has.” She said.

  “Do you?” he asked.

  “I don’t know.” Allison admitted.

A million emotions were churning through her.

“I don’t see how we could ever be long term. I am having fun with you though.” Jeb said.

Allison sighed. “I think I’d better leave.”

  She stood.

“For real? You’ve been seeing other guys. You can’t have been that serious.” Jeb said.

“I just need to leave.” She said.

“I’ll drive you home.” Jeb offered.

“I’ll get a cab.” Allison said and left.

Allison called a cab and had them come to get her. She figured it was time to stop in on her dad. She was at her dad’s in twenty minutes.

“Hey Ally. How are you?” her dad asked.

“Hey daddy. I’m okay. How are you? Can we spend the day together?” Allison asked.

“You know we can. What do you want to do?” he asked smiling.

“Just hang out and watch a movie.” Allison replied.

Her dad nodded. “I’ll have someone set up the movie room for us.”

“You have a movie room?” Allison asked excitedly.

Her dad nodded again. “I’ll show you.”

Her dad led Allison down to the movie room. Allison looked around excitedly at the big comfy leather couches, big screen tv, and cup holders in the couches.

“This is amazing Daddy!” Allison said, throwing herself on the couch.

Her father smiled. “I thought so. I asked Roger to join us.” Her dad said.

The air went out of Allison’s lungs. She did not want to meet another guy. Allison looked in the doorway and there stood a handsome, ripped, tan guy. Oh my word she thought. Her dad smiled. Her dad decided on a movie. Roger sat next to her dad and barely paid any attention to Allison throughout the whole movie. She was sadly relieved.

After the movie, Roger thanked her father and left.

“What else did you want to do?” her father asked.

“That’s it I guess. I’m going to head home.” Allison said.

“Okay night.” Her dad said, hugging her.

Allison hugged him back. “Bye Daddy.”

She walked home. Allison went to bed.

The next day, Zack called Allison.

“Do you want to hang out?” he asked.

  “Yeah.” Allison said.

  “Okay I
ll meet you downstairs in ten minutes.” Zack said.

Allison agreed. She dressed and ran downstairs.

“We need to talk.” She said.

  “About what?” Zack asked.

“I’ve been seeing other guys while I’ve been here.” Allison said.

Zack’s brows knitted together. “Doesn’t everyone?” He laughed.

“I don’t know. I just caught up in a lot of stuff yesterday. The thing is you’re a nice guy but I’m not romantically interested in you.” Allison said.

Zack’s eyes dropped. “I figured. It’s just as well. We can be friends right?”

Allison nodded. Zack pulled her close and kissed her one last time.

“Do you still want to hang out today? We can see a movie.” He said.

  “Sure. What movie?” Allison asked.

“We’ll figure that out when we get there.” Zack responded.

They walked to a movie theater. Zack paid for them to see a film that neither of them had ever heard of. They kept their eyes glued to the movies. Afterwards, Allison and Zack went to get ice cream.

“I had fun today.” Zack said.

  “Me too.” Allison said.

“It’s a really nice day. Do you have plans for tomorrow?” Zack asked.

  Allison shook her head.

“Do you want to go to AquaBoulevard with me?” he asked.

  Allison started laughing.

  “What is it?” Zack asked.

Allison told Zack about what had happened that weekend. He laughed too.

“I don’t think any of us did anything wrong. We’re all young and just exploring Paris.” Zack said.

“I wasn’t that honest though.” Allison said.

“I know. Me either. I think we can grow from this though right?” he said.

“Absolutely. I think I really like Jeb. I’m just not sure what to do about it.” Allison said.

“Maybe you should just tell him.” Zack said.

“How? I made a real mess Saturday. What if he doesn’t like me?” she wondered.

“I’m sure he does. It wasn’t that bad. Just go talk to him.” Zack said.

  “You mean now?” Allison asked.

“You have his number right?” he asked, smiling.

Allison smiled back. “I do. Thanks Zack.”

Allison wandered away from Zack to call Jeb.

“Hey, I didn’t expect to hear from you.” He said.

“Do you want to meet and talk?” Allison asked.

  “Sure.” Jeb said.
