Mad Love

  Cowboy

  I am walking into the kitchen. When I see her in there already she is looking in the pantry so I walkup and wrap my arms around her waist and kiss her head. "God Angel I love you being here all the time". The day after we got engaged I went to Double Aut and asked if she could move in with me now that I put a rock on her. He just laughed at me and said yes. I wasted no time getting her moved in I didn’t want to take chance he would change his mind. "You better I am here for life now". I lean down and kiss her mouth. “What are you making for dinner tonight” She wants to make Sunday dinner at our house tonight and do it all on her own. I just want her to do what makes her happy. . "I am thinking just a taco bar since we are going to be talking about the wedding more is that ok” I swat her on the ass and start to walk out the door for church. "That’s cool babe love ya". "Love ya too see ya later". Then I head to the clubhouse. Church is going well today not too much bad stuff to deal with which is always a plus. We finish everything up and are sitting at the bar having a drink it is about time to start heading home for dinner. When we hear a bike flying into the parking lot everyone is up and out the door in no time. Gooder is jumping off his bike “Double Aut it’s Maddie” I think I just died did I hear him right. I look at Double Aut and he is yelling at Gooder what about Maddie. “I saw her car looks real bad no one is in it they must have already took her to the hospital but it is her car had the support stickers all over it. Double Aut, Dook, Meat and myself jump on our bikes and fly down the road to the hospital. We are walking through the door when I hear Dook on the phone must his mom he is telling her to get her now. We make it to the desk and Double Aut is asking about her. They say they don’t know anything yet that we will have to wait. Her mom finally makes it there but we still don’t know anything finally after what feels like forever a doctor comes out and ask for her family. Double Aut and his wife walk over to the doctor I don’t know what I am supposed to do I don’t want to overstep my bonds but she is going to be my wife and I love her. The doctor is talking and Double Aut looks over at me and tilts his head for me to come with. The doctor looks at me and Double Aut says this is her husband. They lead us back into the hall and into her room. When we get through the door her mom’s is already crying Double Aut is holding her up. When I finally look Mad is laying on the bed she looks so small with cuts and bruises all over her little body. They have her hooked to an IV for fluid. I have never seen Double Aut cry but when I look at him he has tears in his eyes. We are all around her bed. The doctor is telling us that she hit her head hard and has had some swelling on the brain she is asleep and we just have to wait for her to wake up but we don’t know how long it will take. The boys come in and see their sister then head out to take care of things for Double Aut and make calls about Maddie. The other three of use refuse to leave until she wakes up. I am sitting in the chair next to her bed just rubbing her arms and kissing her. "Angel open your eyes for us baby". Nothing more time passes and I just keep telling her how much I love her and need her to wake up. "Angel please wake up baby don’t' leave me like this I can't breathe without you” I am kissing her face when I feel a little squeeze on my hand. "Angel do it again can you hear me” I know she can hear me I know she just squeezed my hand I just need her to open her eyes and do it again. More time is passing and she hasn’t moved yet again. I finally give in and lay my head on her chest and close my eyes. Then I feel something squeezing my hand I snap my head up and see her beautiful eyes looking back at me. "Baby what happened why am I here and why have you been crying". "Oh my god Mad you wouldn't wake up” I push the button for the nurse to come in. "Baby someone hit you, you have been asleep for three days". I grab her face and I am kissing all over her face when the nurse walks into the room I am sure this is quite a sight. The nurse is looking her over when Mad asks if she can have something to drink. She looks at me and tells me I can get her some ice but no water until the doctor sees her. I head out into the hall and get my baby some ice. I am putting a piece of ice in her mouth when the doctor walks in. "Hey Maddie glad you are awake” He is looking her over and telling her about what happened. I am just watching her not really listing to the doctor but then he says something that grabs me. "Maddie we will send in the OB/GYN to do the ultrasound and make sure everything is fine with the baby". Me and Mad both say “BABY” at the same time. "I just figured you knew at any rate we will have them come in and check everything in a few minutes” I am just looking at her I don’t know what to say before we can really say anything to each other a older lady comes in the room. "I hear we are looking at a baby in here” She moves to the other side of mad and is hooking everything up I am just holding her hand I think a little too tight but I am afraid to let go. She is putting stuff on her belly and then something is on the screen and you can hear whoosh whoosh. "There they are looking good hear their hearts beating”. I have tears in my eyes we are still looking at the screen. "I would say you are about eight weeks” I look at Mad and she is crying now too. "Angel I never thought I could love you more than I did but I was wrong” I grab her face with both my hands and kiss her. "Angel look at our babies". She is crying "I can’t believe this those are our babies” The doctor prints off some pictures and hands them us then leaves the room. I lean over her and start to kiss her belly and rub all over it. “Daddy loves you guys”. She makes a sound and rolls her eyes. “What do you mean guys could be girls”. I laugh at her and have to tell her “don’t make girls angel” After a little while Double Aut and her mom come back into the room. They lean over and give her hugs and kiss. I look her in the eyes. "Well mine as well do this now". I hold out one of the pictures and her mom takes it from my hand. She is looking at the picture and her eyes are filled with tears. "Oh my god does this mean what I think it does" Mad shakes her head yes "We are having babies" Double Aut looks at me then back to Mad and grabs the picture out of his wife’s hands yelling “babies” If looks could kill I would be dead but then he looks at the picture again and smiles. “Good thing you have a ring on my babies finger otherwise would be lights out for you” I am laughing at him "At least my grandbabies don't have a rub for a dad". Only Double Aut would think of that at this moment. We all just sit in her room the rest of the night talking and laughing.

  Maddie

  It has been five weeks since the accident and Cowboy still won’t let me do anything. I am standing in our bedroom packing my bag. "Babe do you really have to leave". I just look at him "Cowboy you know I do you can’t see me until tomorrow that is the rules". He is standing behind me with his arms wrapped around me rubbing my belly. "Stupid rules" I turn in his arms and take his mouth with mine "oh poor baby you will be ok you will see us in less than 12 hours babe". He just gives me that cocky grin of his "you will be my wife tomorrow and I can't wait". I hear our front door open and my mom yelling my name "love ya babe I will be the one in white tomorrow" rubbing my belly I laugh "not that I should wear white". He kisses me one more time then I hear someone and look up to see my mom in our doorway "come on love birds she is mine tonight" my mom grabs my bag off our bed and is pulling me out the door before Cowboy can argue more about me leaving for the night. I don't sleep much that night I have a lot on my mind and I am just too excited to really fall asleep plus Cowboy was texting me all night making sure me and the babies are ok. It is still early when my mom and dad come in my mom and wake me up. "Baby girl lets go make you look like the princess you are". I head to the saloon with my mom where we meet up with Tot and Lacey we get our hair and makeup done. By the time we make it to the church I am really feeling sick not because I am pregnant but because of my nervous. Mom helps me into my dress I am looking in the mirror and start to rub my belly. "Mom you can really tell I am pregnant now” she just leans over and rubs my belly "Baby girl don't worry Meat was in mine and your father's wedding and everything turned out fine for us". I always forget they had him before they got married it was a big deal in their families at the time. I hear the door open and look up my brothers and m
y dad are standing there looking at me. I reach up and hug my dad so tight I am really a Daddy's girl. My dad says "Ready baby girl" I nod my head my brothers walk my mom in and then take their place next to Cowboy to wait for me. Tot and Lacey walk in when the music starts then my dad squeezes my hand "Let's do this". The doors open and I start to walk when I look up my eyes meet his and I start to cry I can see the water in his eyes also but he is holding it together better than me. We reach Cowboy and the pastor ask who gives me to this man my dad looks Cowboy straight in the eyes and say her mother and me. Cowboy takes my hand and pulls me away from my dad. We are staring at each other I don't see anything else but Cowboy. I feel him putting my ring on my finger and I realize it is my turn so I repeat my vows and put his kiss on his finger. Then he kisses me like he never has before. Everyone starts to clap and whistle we turn and walk out of the church. His bike is out front we hop on it and everyone heads to the clubhouse for the party. When we walk in the place takes my breath away I can't believe what my family has done in here it is beautiful. People are dancing and drinking of course I am drinking punch. We shove cake in each other’s face and dance with everyone. My foot are killing me by this point I am sitting in a chair when Cowboy comes ups and lifts me so that I am sitting in his lap. "Babe ready to go home". I ask him if we can leave before other people "it is our party we can leave anytime” I reach up and rub his head "I am ready to go home and have a little fun then go to bed". Being pregnant with twins is very tiring. He pulls me to my feet and we start to head out the door. Everyone is blowing bubbles on us as we pull off on his bike. I notice we are not headed to our house "Babe where are we going". He turns his head and looks at me "to start our fairy tale".

  Cowboy

  It has been five weeks since the accident. I still don’t like her doing things I know I am driving her crazy but I don’t want her to hurt herself or my kids. She is standing at our bed packing her bag. "Babe do you really have to leave". She just looks at me like I asked the stupidest question on earth. "Cowboy you know I do you can’t see me until tomorrow that is the rules". I wrap my arms around her and am rubbing her belly. "Stupid rules” she turns around and has her mouth on mine kissing me. "Oh poor baby you will be ok you will see us in less than 12 hours babe". I swat her ass for that comment. "You will be my wife tomorrow and I can't wait". Then I hear the front door open and her mom yelling down the hall for her. "Love ya babe I will be the one in white tomorrow" rubbing her belly she laughs "not that I should wear white". I start to kiss her again when I hear her mom at our bedroom door. "Come on love birds she is mine tonight” her mom grabs her bag and pulls her out of the house. Double Aut, Dook, Meat and a few other brothers decided to take me out for my last night of freedom as they called it. What most of them don’t get is that I don’t want to be free anymore. I spend the whole night not looking at one girl in front of me at this club just texting my girl asking about my babies and making sure they are fine. Needless to say I was a total bore at my own party. I finally talk them into letting me head home so I can try and get a few hours’ sleep. When I wake up I am so nervous I don’t know what to do with myself today is the day she is going to be mine forever. All the boys are over at my house we are getting dressed black pants, black button down shirts and our cuts. Double Aut grabs my hand and pulls me into a man hug “I have always loved you like a son and today you become my son for real”. This man has made such an impact in my life I only hope I can be half the father and husband he is. We are all getting ready and lined up I take my place to wait for her. They start the music and everyone stands then my eyes lock on hers and she is crying my eyes are filled with tears I am trying hard to hold back. Double Aut leads her to me and then places her hand in mine. He just gave me the second thing he loves most in this world. I hear the pastor talking and I am repeating what he says but I don’t see anyone or hear anything I just see her face. Then I put my ring on her finger and he tells me I can finally kiss my wife. I kiss her like I have never kissed her before everyone goes crazy clapping and whistling. We make our way out of the church and get on my bike. I get us to the clubhouse for the party. When we walk in the place is beautiful she just grasp looking around. Everyone is dancing and drinking except Mad she is having punch we shove cake in each other’s face and dance some more. After a while I look over and Mad has her shoes off and is sitting in a chair carrying twins is already taking a toll on her little body. I lift her up and sit her back down in my lap. “Babe ready to go home”. She just looks at me “Can we leave before other people” so I tell her “it is our party we can leave anytime” She starts to rub my head and leans into me “"I am ready to go home and have a little fun then go to bed". I grab her hand and lead her out to the bike everyone is telling us bye and we take off. We are heading down the road she must realize we are not going home tonight. "Babe where are we going". I just turn my head and kiss her cheek "to start our fairy tale".
