“I’m sorry baby girl. I should’ve said something, but I was so scared.”

“Scared of what?” I demanded, my face getting bright red as I clutched my fingers together. I didn’t want him here. I wanted to tell him to leave like he had left months ago, but my voice no longer work. I could only stare at him.

“That I wouldn’t be good enough for you… that you’d get bored of me. But I’ve come to realize that I can never let you go. You claimed my heart, Lola. I love you.”

I shook my head and backed away, pressing myself against the desk. “No. You can’t say that … we’re not together anymore. I’m with Jaimie now.” I felt sick to my stomach as soon as the words escaped my lips.

“Why can’t you be with both of us?” Leo asked. “We are brothers, after all, we’re used to sharing things.”

I didn’t have time to react to Leo’s strange request before the door slammed open. The doorknob smashed into the wall, denting it. Jaimie stepped in with a smug look on his face. “I grabbed crepes from the cafeteria.” He announced, a look of pride on his face before his gaze settled on his brother. “What are you doing here?” He asked.

“I just came to visit Lola,” Leo said innocently.

“You can’t take her away from me.” Suddenly, he took me in his arms and kissed me passionately, our lips smashing together. I melted into the kiss as I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him closer, my fingers weaving into his thick, long hair. Jaimie grinned into the kiss as his hand crept between my thighs, spreading me apart ever so slightly.

I moaned as I felt his hand sneak under my skirt and press against the soft, thin material of my panties. He rubbed me hard, already getting me wet. I could feel a wet spot forming in my panties. His finger pushed against it, letting it graze my sensitive clit until I grinded my hips against him, silently begging for more as I tilted my head back, exposing my neck.

Jaimie’s lips caressed my neck, sending a shiver through my spine. “Now, there’s no reason why we can’t share…” Leo’s voice was suddenly right next to my ear. I turned to face him, our faces mere inches apart. Before I could stop myself, I pulled him close and kissed him. I moaned even louder as I felt his hand on my tit, groping and grabbing until my nipples were rock hard and poking through the lace material of my bralette.

“It does look like she wants both of us…” Jaimie agreed. “Look how wet she is.” He chuckled, hiking up my skirt to expose my soaked panties.

“Oh God, yes, I want you both.” I moaned as my lust got the best of me. I couldn’t quite explain the feeling that coursed through my veins. It was a carnal desire that stemmed from deep within my soul. I needed both of them. Now.

I wrapped my legs around Jaimie’s waist before he picked me up and tossed me onto the bed, pinning me down. “What do you think we should do with her?” Jaimie asked, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

“I have an idea,” Leo answered, his smirk deepening as he joined us on the small bed. He grabbed me, positioning me on his lap until I could feel his growing erection pressing against my ass. Without thinking, I began unbuttoning his pants. At the same time, Jaimie came up behind me and started to take off my shirt, taking his time to tease me. He then quickly took off my bralette, tossing it to the ground.

“Should we… is it okay if we…” I struggled for the words. Goosebumps covered my entire body at this point. I shuddered and bit my bottom lip. “I mean… is it okay… do we really want to do this?”

Leo leaned forward, gently kissing my lips. “Shh baby, just sit back and relax.” He kissed me again, distracting me as his fingers wrapped around the waistband of my panties. When I least expected it, he ripped them off my body. I yelped softly before he turned me around. With wide eyes, I looked at Jaimie who just grinned back at me.

“I hope you’re ready for a wild ride.” Before I could respond, he leaned down and pressed his tongue against my wet pussy, lapping at my sweet nectar. He moaned softly at the taste, his eyes closing. His tongue ran over my clit, making me shake with pleasure. I held onto his head, pulling him closer.

At the same time, Leo freed his cock and positioned it against my asshole. I tensed up at the feeling. I bit my lip, about say something when suddenly, there was a cool and wet sensation against my entrance. I jumped a little. “O-Ooo that’s cold,” I whispered as my fingers tightened around Jaimie’s hair, pushing him deeper into my pussy.

His tongue crept inside of me, tasting me from the source. With his hands on my thighs, he spread my legs apart before draping them over his shoulders. I hooked my ankles behind his neck and squeezed his head between my thighs as I leaned back against Leo, feeling his chiseled body against my own.

Just as I was about to relax and surrender to the pleasure, Leo suddenly plunged his cock deep inside of me. Covered in lube, he slipped in with relative ease, but I was still extremely tight. My asshole tightened around him even more, until he could barely move. Despite it all, he still had half of his cock buried inside of my tight hole. He groaned and pushed harder, his hands grabbing my tits for leverage.

“Fuck! Leo! You’re too big!” I cried out, my head tilting back when I felt like I would be ripped in half, but at the same time, I never wanted this moment to end. Having these two men at the same time was better than I could have ever imagined. Soon, I was grinding into Jaimie’s face as I slowly rode Leo’s cock. My whole body shook with pure ecstasy, my mind going numb. I couldn’t believe this was happening.

“That’s it, baby, take it all in.” Leo kneaded my large breasts in his hands. Occasionally, he would take my nipples between his fingers, giving them a good twist that made me yip in painful pleasure, my back arching.

“Don’t stop,” I commanded, my thighs quivering. My juices were flowing out of me like a river as I worked myself into a frenzy, going harder and harder. Soon, I couldn’t take it any longer. “I’m going to cum.”

The men didn’t stop. They licked and fucked me even harder, bringing me to the edge. I screamed out, my fingers tightening around Jaimie’s hair until I collapsed into Leo’s body, pleasantly exhausted.

When I opened my eyes, the men were gone. It had only been a dream…

  Chapter 4

The following Friday, I had a lunch date with one of my best friends, Marsha. We met almost every week at a local coffee shop that made the best soup. Today, the special was Lobster Bisque and I was enjoying myself. I nibbled at the bread bowl, tearing off a piece and dunking it into the broth before I looked across the table at my friend who had opted for a salad.

“It’s too bad you’re allergic to seafood. This is amazing…” I moaned softly.

“I’m sure it is.” Marsha rolled her eyes at me before she threw one of her curls over her shoulder.

“How do you get your hair so smooth? I bet if I tried to tame my hair, it would look horrible.”

She reached over the table and fluffed out my curls. “Yeah, you do have a lot more volume than I do. It would be hard to manage that and it might damage your hair in the process. You should just stay natural girl, it suits you.” I smiled at my friend. We had gone to the same elementary school together. Sometimes her mother would babysit me after class. The woman taught me how to bake my first cake. Marsha had never been into baking, but then again, with her Amazonian looks, she didn’t really need to be talented.

We ate in silence for a while. My mind felt like it would explode all week. I still hadn’t told Jaime about the kiss. I felt so guilty. Why had I let Leo kiss me? Even if I didn’t kiss him back, the temptation was there. I wanted to kiss him, even after three happy years with Jaimie. What was wrong with me?

A few times I contemplated going back to the family house to ask Leo what he meant, but I talked myself out of it every time. If I saw him again, I knew it wouldn’t end well. If we kissed one more time, there was no telling what could happen. Still, I couldn’t get the kiss out of my head. His rough lips had felt divine against my own. As much as I wanted to deny it, I could
n’t. I had yearned for that kiss for so long. At the same time, I felt disgusted with myself. How could I enjoy the touch of another man when I was in a happy relationship with someone else? To say the least, his kiss had left me confused. Oh, so very confused.

“Earth to Lola.” My friend waved her hand in front of my face, snapping her fingers.

I jerked my head up, looking at her with wide eyes. “What is it?”

“You zoned out on me. I was trying to ask you how work was going, but you just kept staring off into the distance. Is something bothering you?” She asked, stabbing some lettuce with her fork. “We can talk about it if you want.”

I tore off another piece of my bread bowl, kneading it in my fingers. My stomach turned into a tight knot. Did I want to tell her what had happened or did I want to keep it a secret? I sighed, putting down the tattered piece of bread. “Yeah. Something happened last weekend.”

  “Oh?”

  “You remember Leo?”

“Leo? Quarterback Leo? High school sweetheart Leo?” She asked.

“That’s the one.” I nodded, my cheeks darkening before I looked down, idly moving my spoon through my now lukewarm soup. “So… you know how he ran off to join the army?”

“Yes… I remember. Nothing happened to him… right?” She asked hesitantly, expecting bad news.

“No. Not that I know of anyway. He looks just fine.”

“What do you mean? Have you seen him recently? Did he finally send a picture? Called or something?” She asked, sounding surprised.

“No. Worse.” I groaned. “He came back. He’s done with the army and apparently, he’s staying for good. He’s not going back.”

“Awkward.” Marsha dragged out her word before she took another bite of her salad.

“Tell me about it. But get this, his parents threw him a dinner party and invited me and Jaimie and of course, it didn’t take long before they were at each other’s throats. People started arguing. Leo stormed out of the kitchen. Jaimie and I left prematurely. It was a disaster.”

  Marsha frowned. “That sounds horrible.”

“But that’s not all.” I leaned back in my chair. “I was foolish enough to go over and apologize the day after …” I sighed. “It was all great and then, just as I was about to leave, he kissed me.”

  “No…” She whispered in disbelief.

“Yes.” I looked down, wringing my fingers together. “And deep down… I think maybe I haven’t gotten over him yet. I think I never really stopped loving Leo…”

“But you’re with Jaimie now. There has to be a reason why you went with him, right?”

I chuckled, pushing a few strands of hair out of my face. “Well, initially I just wanted to hurt Leo, you know, for leaving me like that. But now… I genuinely love Jaimie. He makes me laugh. He makes me feel like the only girl in the world. But now, I’m in this strange place because Leo’s return made me realize I still have feelings for him…” I propped my elbows on the table and rested my head on my hands. “God… I have no idea what I’m going to do.”

“There isn’t much you can do. Just follow your heart.”

“You sound like some crappy fortune cookie right now.” I glared at her.

She shrugged. “Sometimes, those things are more accurate than you think.”

  Chapter 5

After my lunch date, I continued to ignore Leo. I simply couldn’t face him. What was I supposed to say? What was I supposed to do? If Jaimie found out what had happened, what would he say? I just didn’t want to open that can of worms, especially with the article deadline approaching.

I tried to focus on my work as best I could. I locked myself in my office with Buster snoring in the corner. Sometimes, I would take him for a walk, just to get some fresh air and clear my mind. He didn’t particularly like walking through the frigid, New England temperature. Even as a big, tough Pitbull, he would come in shaking and hide by the fire. By my third walk, I remembered to put on his sweater and he managed to last a total of twenty minutes before he started to whine like a baby.

By Thursday, however, I couldn’t keep ignoring Leo. Whenever I closed my eyes, he would pop up like a phantom. I didn’t want to acknowledge my feelings, but my heart began to protest, fogging up my mind until I was incapable of doing anything else. Finally giving in, I drove to his house.

I lingered in my car. If I just put it in reverse, I could still escape without anyone ever knowing I was there. Yet, there was a little voice in my head, nagging me to go inside and talk to him. With my mouth tasting like copper, I finally got out of my car, slamming the door shut just a little too hard.

Hesitantly, I walked up to the door, my finger hovering over the doorbell. I could still walk away from all of this. Leave the same way he left me three years ago.

Ding-dong. The doorbell chimed through the house so loud that I could hear it. Was it always that loud? I snuggled in my coat, trying to ward off the harsh wind as it whipped all around me. My cheeks felt like they were burning from the freezing cold. I shuffled on my feet, trying to keep my blood pumping. Maybe no one was home.

I was just about to turn and walk away when the door swung open. Leo was standing there in a pair of jeans. In only a pair of jeans. “Lola?” He asked, tilting his head, his hand on the door.

“Are you just going to stand there and look at me or are you going to invite me in? It’s cold out here!” I complained before I forced my way inside the house. “Where are the folks?”

“They went on a mall trip. If I had to guess, they won’t be home until dinner time.” He explained, letting the door close with a soft thud.

“Aren’t you cold? Walking around without a shirt in the middle of winter?” I accused him as I unraveled my thick scarf.

“This is nothing. Try sleeping in a desert in the middle of the night. It gets so cold you have to check if your toes didn’t pop off.” He shrugged. “I guess I got used to it.” I eyed him suspiciously, noticing he had a new tattoo on his left peck. It was a quote written in an elegant cursive font that I couldn’t read without squinting my eyes, making it obvious. “Anyway, what brings you to my neighborhood?” He asked, raising an eyebrow in my direction.

I sat down on the sofa’s armrest, my hand on my knee. I felt awkward being alone with him in his parent’s house, but at the same time, my heartbeat was racing. I could feel my blood rushing through my veins like I was excited to be here. “I just dropped by to give you a friendly warning.” He cocked his head in question. “What you did the last time I was here, it can’t happen again. I’m with Jamie now.” I said, trying to keep my voice resolute even as my fingers shook. I didn’t dare to look him in the eye. My heart was beating so fast, I thought he would be able to hear it soon.

“Sure, sure. I understand.” He said, stuffing his hands in his pockets. “Hey, do you mind coming upstairs with me? I want to show you something.”

I finally glanced up at him. He was looking straight at me with his intoxicating emerald eyes. Our eyes locked together and my heart skipped a beat. I was a fool for thinking I could ever stop loving this man. Slowly, I nodded in agreement and got up, following him to his bedroom.

Once there, he opened the top drawer of his dresser and pulled out a small, faded photograph. He looked at it before handing it over, his cheeks a light shade of pink. I was surprised to find a picture of myself. It was my senior portrait. I had worn my favorite purple sweater; a gift Leo had given me for my birthday. My hair was just as nappy as ever, but I had recently dyed the tips a soft shade of pink. “Why are you showing me this?” I asked, confused.

“I carried that with me in the breast pocket of my uniform. Every single day for 1,124 days.” He answered as he walked over to me. “Every single night, I would take it out and look at you, chiding myself for the awful mistake I made.”

“If you really felt that way, then why didn’t you send a letter? A postcard? Anything. You had plenty of opportunities to call, but you never did.” I snapped.

&
nbsp; “Look, I know it was a mistake for me to ignore you, but can you really blame me? When I finally gathered the courage to try and talk to you, well, you were already with my brother. How do you think that made me feel?” He was even closer now. I could feel the heat of his body wrapping around me. My teeth locked together. I wanted to say something, but my mouth no longer worked. What was I supposed to say anyway? Apologize? Or continue to yell at him for leaving? Either way, they were both things I didn’t really want to do.

Suddenly, as I looked up at him, about to give the photo back, he was leaning down, his eyes closed, about to kiss me again. “Leo!” I shoved him away. “I already told you, I’m committed to Jaimie. Don’t make me repeat myself.” My hands lingered on his chest as we stood there, an arm’s length apart. I glanced at his tattoo, reading the words: “Doubt that the stars are fire, Doubt that the sun doth move his aides, Doubt truth to be a liar, But never doubt I love.” I recognized the Shakespeare quote immediately. Hamlet. The crazed prince. What had made him get this tattoo in the army?
