Billion Dollar Baby

A bleating goat walked up to me and sniffed me curiously.
“Are you okay?” Adele appeared before me, offering a hand. “What happened?”
“I guess you could say that I fell for you,” I said, looking up at her and squinting in the sun.
“Ha, ha, very funny.”
“Seriously. I was staring at your ass and fell.”
She shook her head and punched my shoulder. “You could’ve gotten yourself hurt.”
“If I did, would you have kissed it better?”
“Maybe.”
I chuckled. “Would you like to feed this hungry little fellow?” I asked, motioning to the goat who had started to follow us.
“Oh?” She looked back at the kid who accidentally bumped into her legs.
He looked up at her in confusion. “Meh?”
“Does he have a name?”
“Roger.”
“Strange name for a goat.” She laughed, scratching the curious goat’s head. It butted against her leg, searching for more affection.
“Is it?” I asked. “He seems to like it.” I snapped, getting his attention away from Adele. As soon as I bent down, he jumped onto my back, allowing me to carry him to the barn. She laughed and clapped her hands.
“Do you really take care of all this by yourself?”
“Yep.”
“How?”
“What do you mean?”
“It’s so big. It seems like too much for one person to handle. Besides, aren’t you also a firefighter?”
I shrugged. “I haven’t had much work down at the station. This occupies my time. Keeps me sane.” I paused, running my fingers through my hair. “I thought about hiring someone, but I don’t really have the money for that right now.”
Once we reached the barn, the goat eagerly jumped down and waited for me to open the door. As soon as I did, it raced forward, nudging the empty bottles with his nose. I shook my head, grabbing the biggest one.
Tucked away in the corner was an old, beat-up refrigerator that I had to keep locked for fear of midnight raids by some of the animals. I swear, no matter how much I fed them, they always came back even hungrier than before.
The goat watched me as I started to fill his bottle. He stood on his back legs, pawing at me, growing impatient.
“He’s really hungry, huh?”
“He acts like I don’t feed him.”
Once done, I screwed on the nipple and handled the bottle to Adele. “If you sit down, he’ll cuddle into your lap.”
She nodded, but as soon as she lowered herself to the ground, the goat jumped on her, nearly causing her to fall backward. “Whoa there little fellow.” She managed to calm him down, rubbing his side as she fed him the bottle. Soon enough, he settled in her lap, suckling the milk, his tiny tail wagging a mile a minute.
“I think he likes you,” I said, leaning against one of the support beams as I watched her. Seeing her with a bottle in hand made me think about her as a mother. I had no doubt she would be a great mom. Hopefully, I could be a great father right alongside her. A man could dream, anyway.
“Um… Is he going to stop?” Adele asked, trying to take the empty bottle away from the goat. “He doesn’t want to let go.”
I laughed. “You have to be a little forceful with him.”
Attempting to reclaim the bottle, she got up and tugged on it with all her might.
I laughed even harder, watching the tug of war match.
“Come on, you’re surely stronger than a baby goat.”
She growled, digging her feet into the soft earth. The goat, however, still manage to drag her along.
“Are you sure this goat is normal? He’s got the strength of a cyborg.”
“Damn, you got me. I raise bionic goats in my backyard.”
Thinking she had enough, I grabbed the bottle, yanking it away from the goat.
“Meh!” he shouted at me.
“Meh!” I shouted back, causing him to scurry away.
“Well, that was rude,” Adele giggled.
“Did you really want some kid following us around all day long?”
“Maybe… If it was my kid,” she said softly. As soon as she did, she looked down. The faintest hint of deep rose was visible in her dark skin. I knew if I reached out and touched her, I’d feel her warmth. “What I mean is—not a goat—”
“Don’t worry about it. I’ll pretend you didn’t say anything.” Gently, I took her hand. “Come on, I want to show you something. I think you’ll like it.”
“What is it?”
“Just trust me, okay?”
She nodded, following me through the farm, toward the thicket of trees. There was a well-worn path cutting through the dense foliage, making our journey a little easier.
“Close your eyes.”
“What?” Adele nearly bumped into me.
“Close your eyes. I’ll guide you the rest of the way.”
She looked hesitant but eventually closed her eyes. I suddenly took her into my arms, holding her bridal style. She gasped, looking up at me with large eyes. “What are you doing?”
“No peeking,” I said, my voice stern.
“But—”
“Do you want a surprise or not?”
“Fine,” she relented, once again closing her eyes.
After a short walk, we arrived at a lakeshore. Since the lake was technically on my property, no one came here. It was my private oasis, now mine to share with the woman of my dreams. The beach was white sand, the water crisp and clean, untouched by the locals. Few people knew about this little area, besides me.
I set her down gently. “Can I look now?”
“Just wait a second.” I positioned her in the perfect spot before stepping back. “Okay. Now.”
As soon as she opened her eyes, she gasped in wonder. “Braden… This is beautiful.”
All around us, late summer blooms colored the scene in vibrant reds and golden yellows. It looked like a scene out of a movie. “What do you say we take a little dip?”
“But—”
“Oh, I already know you didn’t bring a bathing suit.” I smirked, my hand tugging on the hem of her shirt. “I was hoping we could go skinny dipping.”
“But, what if someone sees us?” She glanced around as if expecting someone to jump out of the bushes at any moment.
“No one is going to see us. We’re still on my property,” I assured her. “Come on, you know you want to.”
She looked at the lake for a moment, her brown eyes deep in thought.
I could tell she was contemplating how far she should go with me. She was holding back and yet, at the same time, she was trying to accept the idea that maybe, just maybe, there was still a chance for us.
Before she could convince herself out of it, I pushed her into the water, clothes and all.
Chapter 6
Adele
I gasped, the cold water wrapping around me like a vise. My muscles tightened, causing me to quickly sink to the bottom.
Above my head, rays of sunlight penetrated the water’s surface. As soon as my feet touched the ground, I propelled myself upwards, swimming toward the light. I gasped for air as I emerged, looking around for Braden, but he was nowhere to be found. I turned slowly, the water feeling like silk between my fingers.
“Hello?”
Suddenly, something grabbed my ankle. I screamed, flailing about, thinking the Loch Ness Monster had emerged from the depths. I kicked hard, but failed to hit the mark.
I was pulled under. My lungs burned in protest, but when I opened my eyes, I saw Braden right in front of me. He had a wild grin on his face. His hair looked like a patch of algae swaying in the current. He grabbed me by the shoulders, pulling me close. Our eyes locked. Air no longer mattered. All that mattered was this moment.
I leaned forward and kissed him. Our lips danced together as our bodies melded. Bubbles floated up to the surface as we pushed the limits of our underwater capabilities. It was only when we were on
the brink of passing out did Braden tow us to surface. He held me close, his hands pressing into the small of my back.
“Sorry about that. I couldn’t help myself.”
“I should be mad at you for ruining a perfectly good outfit, but, I think that kiss made up for it.” I wrapped my arms around his neck. “Just to make sure…”
I lingered right before our lips could collide. I felt my heart stirring, filling my chest with a warm fire that threatened to burst into an inferno. I wanted to say something – something I’ve always meant to say, but the words just wouldn’t obey me. They were stuck in my throat, hiding.
Before I could coax them forward, Braden kissed me.
I quickly melted into it, feeling my heart beat faster and faster. By the time he pulled away, it felt like it was about to explode right out of my chest.
“Why don’t we have a little bit of fun?” Braden’s eyes sparkled with mischief as he carried me over to a shallow bank. The water there was only a foot high, making it possible to lay down in the soft silt. He placed me down gently before getting on top of me. I started to peel off my wet clothes, tossing them aside.
“You sure this place is private?” I raised an eyebrow in question.
“Yeah, it is.”
I thought about protection — or at least, telling him to pull out.
A part of me wanted to tell him not to. My mind reeled in thoughts of carrying his child. I wanted nothing more than to be a mother. There were instincts deep inside of me that wanted to experience the inexplicable reward of bringing life into this world. And, I wanted to do it with Braden.
Of course, I didn’t voice my desires. He would think I was nuts. Then again, he had brought up the promise we made to each other years ago. Maybe he wanted to have kids—
He laid out a sweet trail of kisses along the side of my neck. I tilted my head back, silently asking for more. He attacked the exposed flesh with renewed vigor. With his hand on my back, he lifted me up just enough for my breasts to float on the edge of the water. He looked up at me, catching my eye as he took one of my nipples into his mouth, letting his tongue flick the already hard nub back and forth.
I moaned, my back arching and my legs wrapping around his waist.
Braden continued to suck on my nipples, his teeth grazing the sensitive flesh as his hands fiddled with the button of my pants. Somehow, he managed to undo them, rolling them off without much difficulty. Once they were off, he tossed them onto the grass. A second later, my panties followed suit.
Quickly, his fingers found my pussy, dancing along my clit, driving me crazy. I couldn’t believe we were doing this. We were outside. Anyone could walk in on us at any moment. And yet, I didn’t care. I wanted this.
No.
I needed it.
I grabbed his hand, pulling on it as my lust rose to newfound levels. I had never felt this way before. Unable to control myself, I rolled us around, pinning him underneath my body. His hands naturally rested on my hips as he waited for me to make my move. The sight of his eyes roaming my body and drinking in my curves turned me on even more. I liked how I affected him. Now, I wanted to make sure he would never forget me.
Braden had stripped down before jumping into the lake, making things easier. I took his cock in my hand, rubbing it up and down before pressing it against my entrance. He slid inside of me with ease, our bodies fitting together like lock and key.
Immediately, we fell into a rhythm as I rolled my hips and moaned his name. His hands latched onto my breasts, kneading them between his fingers and I moaned, feeling the pleasure course through every vein in my body. I rode him faster. Harder.
He groaned, his fingers tightening around my hips.
Suddenly, he took control, flipping us over and ramming into me. He growled, growing animalistic as his cock plunged deeper and deeper into me.
I moaned, begging for more. God, I had never had sex this good before. I never wanted him to stop. Soon enough, however, my lust came to a crescendo and I came hard. So hard. My whole body shook as my pussy quivered around him, pulling his cock into a vice grip, trying to prevent him from pulling away. It was almost as if my body wanted his seed—like it needed to get pregnant.
But, nonetheless, he pulled out just in time, his hot cum rolling down my thighs and stomach and dripping into the water. I watched it dissolve, a frown on my face.
Braden collapsed next to me and pulled me into his arms, gently kissing my neck. “Had I known making love to you would feel this good, I would’ve done it a long time ago.”
I chuckled. “Are you saying that’s the only reason you like me? Cause I’m a good fuck?”
“What? No.” He shook his head, pulling me even closer, spooning me so I could feel every inch of his body. “You know I like you for more than just that.”
He sounded sincere. “I like you too Braden.” Slowly, I turned so I could face him. “And I want to see where this will go.” It felt good to finally forgive him, to finally let go of the arguments that tore us up in the past. After all, his family wasn’t around any more to put that divide between us.
He smiled, kissing my forehead. “I’d like that too.” His fingers caressed my cheek. He looked at me as if I were the only girl in the world.
The thought made my heart swell with happiness. I had been a fool for keeping away for so long.
“What do you say about staying for the weekend?”
“I’d like that.”
We smiled at each other before our faces gravitated together into a sweet, sweet kiss.
Chapter 7
Braden
The longer Adele stayed in my arms, the more I fell for her. All the little things I loved about her came flooding back into my soul. I knew I’d never be able to let her go a second time.
As we laid in the water, my cock pressed against her thigh, I started to think about all the times we talked about having children together — and the promise we made that we’d be together forever. The pact we made that we’d have kids together before we were thirty.
It was dumb. Foolish. Childish, even. We expected we’d always be the same.
But maybe we could be.
Maybe, if I could convince her to go along with it, I’d be able to get the heir I so desperately needed. All my financial troubles would go away. We would both be set. We’d be able to start the life I had always dreamed for us.
How was I supposed to tell her, though? It would seem like my desire was only inspired by greed. She’d never agree to it once she knew my motivation was monetary. I could try to tell her that I genuinely wanted a baby with her, but I feared she wouldn’t believe me. She’d think it was just a cover-up.
Maybe, the best course of action would be to spend some more time together and really get to know each other. Hell, maybe we could even start a real relationship. God knows I need it after my ugly breakup with Chelsea.
“Hey, I don’t mean to ruin a romantic moment or anything, but I’m starting to get pruned. Maybe we should get out?” Adele spoke up, interrupting my thoughts.
“What?” I said, trying to replay what she had just said. I had heard her, but I couldn’t quite make sense of her words.
“We should get out,” she said more slowly this time. “You okay? You look kind of distant.”
“Yeah, sorry, I’m fine. I just got lost in your beauty.”
She rolled her eyes. “When did you become so corny?”
“I’ve always been corny.”
She thought about this for a moment. “I guess you’re right. Do you remember how you asked me to prom?”
I nodded, a wave of nostalgia washing over me. “How could I forget? I got the whole school in on it.”
She laughed. “I still don’t know how you managed that. How did you convince Mr. George to sing that solo?”
“I have my ways. I can be very persuasive when I need to be.”
“I guess that’s why I’m still here.” She leaned forward and kissed me before finally prying my arms o
ff her body and getting up.
I watched her grab her clothes. They were completely soaked.
“How am I supposed to wear this?”
“You can wear my shirt,” I said, tossing it in her direction.
She caught it with ease, a skeptical look on her face. “What is this? Some kind of romantic comedy?”
“Well, your only other choice is to run around naked. If it was up to me… I’d definitely go for that option.”
She shook her head, tossing it on. Even though she was all delicious curves, the shirt looked huge on her. It hung just below her ass cheeks, keeping her decent. Relatively decent anyway. Decent enough for a ranch set deep in the mountains.
I whistled low. “Damn.” I smirked, pulling her into my arms. “I don’t know how long you’ll manage to keep that on before I tear it off you again.”
“Do I look that good?”
“Like a goddess.”
She grinned. “Well then, maybe I should start stealing your shirts. I might start a new fashion trend.”
I chuckled. “I rather not have the whole world ogling my girlfriend. I would become a very jealous man.”
“Oh, so I’m your girlfriend now?” she questioned, an amused look on her face.
“Yep!” I kissed her nose and smiled. “Now, while I have you on my farm… Do you think you could help me out with a few things?”
“So let me get this straight. I’m your girlfriend. And now you’re going to put me to work? And here I was, thinking this weekend would be all fun and games.” She put her hands on her hips, and my shirt lifted slightly higher than decent. I liked it.
“I’ll make it worth your while.”
“Oh?” She cocked her head, intrigued. “How’s that?”
“You’ll just have to wait and find out.” I took her hand and guided her toward the trees. Her pace was slow, making me realize that she was barefoot. “What happened to your shoes?”
“You got them wet, remember?”
