In Love with My Brother's Best Friend: Complete Box Set
Page 6
“Yes, sir,” she answered in a serious tone.
Those words sounded so sweet rolling off her tongue. They'd have been much better if they were directed at me though. I couldn't help the smile that crossed my face. Of course Tina didn't miss my reaction. When she walked by me, she stood up on her toes and whispered in my ear.
“I bet you like to be called sir.”
Then she burst into laughter and kept moving.
The rest of the rehearsal went pretty quickly. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I kind of enjoyed it.
Tina was paired up with one of the guys we all went to school with. Tim was still friends with the guy. I knew there was no way the dude would even talk to her or want to stand that close to her. I'd taken care of that one years ago. She moved to grab his arm so they could walk down the aisle, and he flinched as he looked over me. I let out a light laugh, and Tiny turned on her feet, put her arms over her chest, and growled at me.
“Is there a problem?” she asked.
“Not at all,” I answered with a smile and shrug.
“Good,” she snapped before turning around and grabbing the guys arm again.
“Don't be such a wuss,” she told him. “We are not in high school anymore. My brother's not going to threaten you.”
“It's not him I'm worried about,” he mumbled.
“What?” she asked.
Oh crap, I thought. He'd be sorry if he answered that question.
“Can you please get moving, Tiny,” I said. “We have dinner, and I have an awesome night planned with the groom.”
“I bet you do, Jackie,” she said sarcastically. “I've got a beach calling my name. It's been a very long time since I've felt the soft sand against my body.”
She turned back around, grabbed the guy by the arm, and didn't say one word to me the rest of the rehearsal. I couldn't decide if I liked her better with her mouth closed or if I enjoyed her cocky banter. She was different, but she was still perfect.
I paid attention to her and her boyfriend. Her man sat with his head down, looking at his phone, the entire time. What was wrong with him, I thought? If she was my woman, my eyes would have been glued to her sexy ass the entire time. I can say for sure, no asshole would have gotten away with talking to her the way I was. I'd have had them up against a wall, letting them know not to speak to my woman like that. The dude just sat there. He never even looked up to make sure she was okay with what was going on. I definitely wouldn't have been okay with her arm around some other guys either. It didn't seem to bother the Chris guy any. It made me wonder what was so damn important on that phone of his. Was he faithful to her? Did he treat her right? There was no way he deserved her. Nobody would ever deserve her, not even me.
Chapter 5
Tina
I had to get out of there. As soon as the rehearsal was over, I walked up to Tim.
“I'm going to run by the hotel to check in and change clothes. There is no way I'm going to dinner in this. We'll meet you at the restaurant.”
“Are you okay?” he asked. “You seem on edge, and you're biting all of our heads off.”
“I'm fine,” I answered. “It's been a long day. I worked and was so worried we wouldn't get here in time. You should have seen us running around the airport. Chris probably thinks I'm crazy now.”
“Did you guys argue?” he asked. “I'm going to have a talk with him while you're here. He needs to know I won't put up with him hurting you.”
“No, you won't,” I said. “I've been away from that protective crap for ten years. Don't you dare start shit, or I'll fly home right then. We will meet you at the restaurant.”
“Fine,” he said, as he watched me walk over to Chris.
Chris stood up, I took his hand, and we took off for the car. He waited until I pulled out of lot before he flipped his switch.
“What the hell was all of that back there?” he asked sternly.
“What?” I asked.
“Do not play dumb with me, Tiny,” he said sarcastically.
“Do not ever call me that again,” I snapped.
“What the hell happened between you and that Jackson guy? Why in the world did you feel the need to introduce me as your boyfriend?” he asked.
“Nothing happened between me and Jackson,” I said.
“Bullshit,” he said with a loud laugh. “That is a total lie. You better spill your shit right now, Tina. Do you hear me?”
“To make a long story short,” I began. “Nobody knows this. Not even Rachel or Jen. Most certainly not anyone in there. I had a huge crush on him. At my eighteenth birthday party, something kind of happened between us. I have not seen him since. You can't say a word. My family would flip. You see how stupid my brother acts. It was so long ago. I know it would hurt their relationship.”
“That fucker is the reason you've avoided coming home for ten years?” he asked. “I can't believe it.”
I pulled in and parked in the hotel lot. We got out and grabbed our bags, and I looked over at Chris.
“I'm so sorry,” I said, as a tear ran down my cheek.
He pulled me in against his side, and we headed for the door.
“I was about to break down in tears and didn't know what to do. I thought he was with that perfect Bridget. I'll make it up to you. I swear.”
“Okay,” he said. “You know I'm here for you. I'll be your boyfriend, but don't expect me to put out.”
“Thank you,” I said with a laugh, as I stood on my toes to place a soft kiss on his cheek. “You're the best.”
Chapter 6
Jackson
I pulled into the hotel. When I looked toward the door, I saw Tina and that fucker with his arm around her. She was just planting a kiss on his cheek with a huge smile on her face. Of course we were at the same hotel. It was the nicest one in town. I was surprised she hadn't chosen one closer to her mom and dad's house. She should have been staying with them. That way, Chris would have had to sleep in a separate room. I couldn't stand the thought of them sharing a bed in the same building I was in or anywhere else for that matter. I wanted to rip that guy in two so badly. It didn't make sense. I didn't have a claim to her, but I didn't want any other man's hands on her. She said he worked with her, and I thought she said he was a teacher. It made me wonder how much he made. Somehow, I didn't think it would matter to her at all.
I parked my car and waited for a bit before getting out. Tim knew I was running by my hotel before going to the restaurant. I accidentally left my wallet in my old pants when I changed so quickly earlier and needed it for dinner. No matter how many times I asked Tim's mom what I could do to help with the wedding, she always turned me down. I was going to make sure to do something to lighten the load on his parents. I'd been doing it here and there for a few years. I always made sure to be careful so that his mom never figured out who had done it. They were small things, but I knew they helped.
Tim knew where I was staying, and he was coming back with me after dinner. We were going to hang out in the club at the hotel and crash in my room. I promised Renee I would have him at the church on time in the morning. We were staying at the same hotel his parents had rented him a room at for his eighteenth birthday party. It was an awesome hotel on the beach. There was always something cool going on there.
Just as I walked through the door, I saw Tina hand her credit card to the woman checking them in. Then I watched her sign the receipt. What the hell is that? Her man should have been paying. It wasn't her job. I didn't care if it was her brother's wedding. He needed to care of his woman. That was his job. What kind of man was he?
Once they were safely in the elevator, I walked up to the desk. It was the same girl I had gone to school with. I let her know that I wanted the card she had just swiped credited back the money and handed her my card to pay for their room. She looked at me like I was crazy but did as I asked. I let her know that everything and anything charged to that room was to be charged to my card.
“I
can't believe you're paying for Tina's room,” she commented. “Why would you do that?”
“She's my best friend's little sister, and she's here for his wedding,” I answered, as I signed the receipt, snatched my copy from her, and stormed off toward the elevator to get my wallet from my suite.
Who did she think she was asking why I was paying for Tina's room, I wondered? It was none of her damn business. She needed to do her job without getting involved. I shook my head as I hit the button for the top floor. Damn women needed to quit questioning me. It was beginning to really piss me off.
I couldn't stop thinking about Tina in the same hotel with another man. It made me want to go to her room and demand to know what the hell was going on with her. What did she mean by that beach comment, I wondered? The feelings moving through me were like nothing I had ever felt before. Why did she have to show up, I thought? Why couldn't she have just skipped the wedding like she did everything else? If it wasn't for being the best man, I surely would have left and gone home. I wasn't sure how much more I could take of that sassy mouth of hers without ruining so many things.
I didn't care if I was a few minutes late for dinner. There was something I needed to take care of. Tina and what's his name were going to change, so I figured I had some time. If I got there before her, I wouldn't be the latest. It wasn't like me to need to take care of myself, but my body was going crazy thinking about that cocky mouth of hers. I ripped my clothes off quickly, turned the water on the shower all the way to hot, and stepped in. She had my mind spinning, and I couldn't face her again without some kind of release. That woman was testing every ounce of control I had. Nobody ever did that.
With my hands on the shower walls, I let the water run over my head and down my back. I couldn't believe we were both in the same hotel we had been at together only ten years earlier. With my eyes closed, all I could picture was her, naked on the sand, in the moonlight. Her body was ready and waiting for me. She was dripping wet, and I couldn't wait to be inside of her. My hand slid from the shower wall and moved down to my growing cock. I couldn't help it, I needed to come or I was going to lose my damn mind. My hand wrapped around my shaft, and I began slowly stroking. The thought of being buried so fucking deep inside of her was enough to have me solid and so damn hard. The veins in my dick were pumping hard. The soft skin over my steel rod needed to feel her. That night would forever be etched in my mind. That scene played over and over every time I closed my eyes. There was no getting rid of it.
I began to stroke harder as I pictured her on her knees with that cocky mouth of hers open and willing. She'd be naked and perfect. I'd look down and see her looking up at me with need in her eyes. She'd want to taste me. That was one thing we hadn't done, and I wanted to feel her lips around me so damn bad. My thoughts of her mouth were so much worse than they had been before. The way she talked back and challenged me had me wanting to order her to her knees. I pictured her hand around my cock instead of mine. It was like she was right there. I could see her tongue slide out from between those lips. She'd lick me from the base of my dick all the way to the tip. Then she would open wide and slip me between them. They'd be so damn soft. I would watch her take me into her mouth, and I'd see her naked breasts wanting to be touched. They would have to wait. I'd want her mouth more than anything else in that moment. She'd suck hard, as she took me deep into her throat. I pictured my hand wrapping hard in her hair and pulling her from my cock, but I'd stop just before it fell from her lips. Then I'd thrust into her mouth until I felt her throat. She'd suck me hard. Her other hand would go to the back of my leg and pull me closer. I'd take my free hand and grab the back of her neck. Then I'd fuck her mouth hard and deep. I wanted to fill that cocky mouth and show her who was in control. My hand gripped my cock and began stroking harder. I let my head fall back and my eyes remain closed as I continued thinking about her sucking me. Her fingers would dig into the back of my leg as she tried to get me even closer. I'd be so deep inside her mouth, filling it completely. She'd suck hard, as she'd look up at me with love in her eyes. I'd hold her head hard and fill her mouth. Then I'd tighten my grip in her hair, still my legs, and fill her sweet mouth with burst after burst of me. She'd swallow every last drop and lick me clean. Just as I thought about her cocky mouth swallowing me, I cried out her name and burst all over the shower. I stood still for a moment, as I let my head fall forward under the water. What was she doing to me, I wondered?
I quickly finished showering. That was just what I needed. I'd had my release and was ready to take on the evening. In a few hours, I knew I would be hanging with my best friend. It was something I hadn't done in a very long time. I grabbed a pair of black pants and pulled on a nice dress shirt. Then I grabbed my wallet, phone, and keys before slipping my shoes back on. I ran my fingers through my wet hair to make sure it looked okay.
As soon as I stepped out the hotel door, I stopped frozen and my cock stirred in my boxers. Tina was walking toward the parking lot away from me. She had on a black dress that clung to her curves perfectly. I wanted to grab her by the waist and claim that mouth of hers. She had on black heels that made her calves sexier than I had ever seen them. It was so strange seeing her in a dress. When she was younger, her mom couldn't pay her to wear one. She'd literally have to bribe her or it wasn't happening. She had her hair curled, and I wanted to see her face so badly. I couldn't help but wonder if she had makeup on. I bet her lips were red and inviting. Damn, I thought. Everything I had done in the shower was a waste. That release hadn't done shit for me. There was so much tension running through my body, and I had no idea what I was going to about it. I walked slowly behind her and saw Mr. Wonderful leaning up against her car. He let out a loud whistle as she approached. I made sure to hang back until they were in the car and gone. The fucker didn't even open the door for her. What a piece of work.
I let out a huff, as I pushed off of the building I was leaning against and stormed toward my car. At least I had driving to look forward to. It was going to be a long night after all.
Chapter 7
Tina
I walked into that restaurant dressed better than I had ever dressed in my life. Chris had talked me into bringing a dress, and he was right. As soon as my mom's eyes landed on me, she was out of her chair in seconds. I couldn't help but laugh at the shocked expression on her face. Her eyes were bugging out of her head, and she had a silly smile on her face. She wrapped her arms around me, and I leaned in close to her ear.
“Not a word,” I said with a tiny laugh.
“You look beautiful,” she said. “My baby is so grown up.”
I pulled back from her and smiled as my brother gave me the same expression.
“Shut it,” I mouthed in his direction.
He laughed and shook his head but didn't say a word.
My dad was walking toward the table from wherever he was and pulled me into a hug.
“Love you, baby girl,” he said with a smile.
“Love you too, dad,” I said, as I nuzzled into his chest and thought about how much I missed feeling safe in his arms.
I grabbed Chris by the hand and pulled him toward the table. The guy I was standing up with looked up at me. I saw him smile but then instantly remove it and look back to his menu. He looked so nervous, and I couldn't help but think about what he had said earlier. I made a mental note to ask him about it later.
I stood up on my toes and whispered in Chris' ear.
“Has nobody ever seen a girl in a dress before?” I asked.
“Not as smoking hot as you,” he said. “You really do look beautiful.”
I sat down, and Chris sat down next to me. We picked up the menus, and I was shocked by the prices. It was a newer restaurant that wasn't around when I lived there. Renee loved it. I couldn't believe my parents were paying for such an expensive dinner. When I looked down toward my mom, she knew exactly what I was thinking and nodded at me. How could she still read my mind after so much time away from each other, I wonder
ed?
I felt him before I saw him. There was a breeze, and I felt a warmth move up my arms. I shook slightly at the strange feeling I felt. Jackson walked around the table and took the only open seat. It just happened to be across from me and next to Bridget. I kept my eyes glued to the menu. There was no way I was going to let him see how my body reacted to him being near. His eyes were on me. I knew they were. I could feel them. He could see straight through me, at least that was what it felt like.
I heard my mom talking to him, so I let my eyes move up just over my menu. My breath caught in my throat. His hair was still damp from the shower he must have taken after the rehearsal. It hung in front of his eyes just enough to make want to move my fingers through it to move it back. His eyes shifted slowly from my mom and moved around the table, stopping on me. I moved mine quickly back down to my menu.
“Is everything okay, Tiny?” he asked.
I looked up at him and pulled my bottom lip between my teeth.
“What?” I asked quietly.
“You made a noise just now. I just wanted to make sure you were okay,” he said.
“Fine,” I answered. “Just peachy.”
I felt Chris push his leg against mine and looked up at him. He leaned down next to my ear.
“You totally made a sex noise,” he whispered. “It's me you should be directing those noises at.”
I let out a tiny giggle and could feel Jackson's eyes harden on me. No joke. I wasn't even looking at him, and I felt it.
A few seconds later, I caught myself wondering what his wet hair would feel like in my fingers with his body on top of mine and my mouth claiming his. I wiggled a bit in my seat to try and get rid of the feelings I was feeling everywhere.
I was so glad the waiter asked what I wanted to drink. My mind needed to stay in the present, the time that Jackson wanted nothing to do with me. I would not normally even think about having a drink in front of my parents, but I had to do it. There was no way I was going to make it through dinner without something to calm my nerves. I ordered a glass of wine and knew my mom was watching me, so I looked over at her with a huge smile on my face. She cracked a smile and shook her head. Chris ordered a beer, and the waiter moved on.
