To Kiss a Sheik

A noise from the hall made them turn to look. Two dark heads ducked out of sight.
Fariq grinned at her. “I think someone is eavesdropping.”
As happiness bubbled to overflowing inside her, she smiled up at him. “I think it’s time to share the joy.”
“Something upon which we agree. It gives me great pleasure to know that my children will grow up in a house filled with love. They will not carry the scars of my past into their own lives. And for this you have my everlasting gratitude.” He slid his arm around her waist and nestled her against his side. “Children?”
Instantly they appeared in the doorway. “Yes, Papa?” they both said.
“I have an announcement to make.”
“You are going to marry Nanny,” Hana said.
“Yes.”
“Does that mean we can call her Mama?” Nuri asked.
“If you would like,” he assured them.
When they raced into the room, Crystal held out her arms “Group hug,” she said.
Fariq looked into her eyes, and his own smoldered with so much emotion. “And so, it was written into the history of El Zafir that the nanny donned a disguise to kiss a sheik.”
Crystal met his gaze and smiled. “Let it also be written that beauty tamed the sheik after all. And they lived happily ever after.”
