Paris, The Ambassador and Me

  “Thank you.”

There was a maid or someone walking around straightening the paper left on the coffee table. I could smell coffee and some type of food in the air.

“Where do you want us, Mamma?” Fabrice asked.

  Mamma? That was so cute.

“Upstairs in your old room, is that okay with you?” She was grabbing onto his arm and didn’t want to let it go.

“Of course, that is perfect. I can show Isabella my personal things from school, if you haven’t gotten rid of them.”

In her beautiful Parisian accent she yelled “Are you nuts? No, I never get rid of them.”

“I’m going to take our luggage up to my room. Do you want to come, Isabella?” He had to say that now. I loved hearing him say come. Just not in front of his parents.

“Are you hungry?” His dad asked me.

“Yes.” I said with a smile. I looked at Fabrice wanting to go with him but being taken by the arm and pulled to the dining room by Romain. I shrugged as I looked back at Fabrice and he laughed his hearty laugh.

“Come on, let’s go outside in the garden. We will eat out here.” We walked through the dining room with crystal chaneleliers, a baby grand piano, fireplace, and beautiful wood floors. The dining room table was massive with seven upholstered chairs encircling it. I was amazed at the huge wooden doors that seemed to be everywhere. The outside garden was beautiful. Green as could be with a wooden table and chairs on a small terrace. A waterfall was trickling in the background and French music was being piped into a speaker that looked like a rock. The table was set for eating and there was a man dressed like a waiter waiting to serve me.

“Two glasses of wine, Thomas.” Romain said to the waiter in English. Immediately he went to the bar off to the side of the terrace and poured us each a glass of wine. The glass was huge.

I saw Fabrice coming outside with his mom hanging off him. She had her arms wrapped around his waist as they walked down the steps. I knew by looking at them that they were very close. The reason he treats me so good is because he’s a good son.

“Sit down, Isabella, relax. This is very informal tonight.” Anais poured a glass of wine and Fabrice grabbed one as well. Informal. She should be at my house on Sunday. This was anything but informal with waiters and maids.

We sat and he took my hand and kissed it.

“Wait till you see where we are staying. My old room in the attic, I always wanted to make love to a beautiful girl up there. Now I can.”

“You’re sick, but I like it. When can we go to bed, right after dinner?”

“If you pretend you’re exhausted I will take you upstairs, give you a nice hot bath, wash you, and make love to you.” Holy hell.

“I’m exhausted now. Is it too soon?” I laughed.

“Wait till you try this. You will want to start cooking French food.”

The waiter brought us what Fabrice said was ‘soupe a l’oignon’ which to me was French Onion soup with creamy cheese and croutons on the top. It was unbelievable. That would have been enough with the crusty French bread, but that was the first course. The second course was beef bourguignon. I was not a fan, but the flavor was good. I hated the mushrooms. Along with that was, cooked potatoes and a green salad. More wine by the gallon it seemed, and then dessert which was soufflé au chocolate. Anais said it was Fabrice’s favorite and I asked her if I could get that recipe from her before we left. She said she would even like to spend the next day showing me how to make it. I was thrilled.

Dinner and conversation was amazing. His parents were so intelligent and so down to earth at the same time. They were truly interested in my family, my life, and my future. Like Fabrice, they knew I was unhappy and said that in order to be happy I needed to do what made me free and mushy inside. To me, that was cooking.

The next morning I woke up forgetting where I was. I woke up with a racing heart and disoriented. My body relaxed when Fabrice tuned toward me and pulled me close to him. We were both naked in his bed.

“Shh, it’s okay. I’m here,” he whispered. I breathed a sigh of relief and melted into his comfortable bed that smelled like cinnamon and vanilla. He kissed my neck and though we fucked twice in his room, I wanted him. My breasts felt bigger, my nipples were hard. I couldn’t get over how huge Fabrice’s old bedroom was. It was the size of my condo. It wasn’t a bedroom but a living room and he had his own huge bathroom. An enormous mirror hung from the ceiling next to his bed along with ceiling fans and skylights. He truly was a brat I noticed as I started to gyrate against him. My stomach clenched inside.

  “Someone woke up wanting sex.”

“That someone is me. I want you,” I panted. I turned to face him and push him on his back. He yanked the covers off and I climbed on top of him.

“It’s not my fault I’m so horny. It’s the vats of wine you feed me down here and the air. There is something in this French air.”

“The air and wine.” He smiled at me as he put one of my nipples in his mouth and began to suck on it.

His hands went to my ass which he grabbed and kneaded. I was soaked by the time I lifted his cock up and sat down on it. The lips of my sex were so sensitive. My clit was throbbing as I lifted up on him and lowered myself down again.

His cock felt so hot, so hard, and so perfect. I bent down and kissed him. His mouth was so yummy and wet. I couldn’t stop kissing him.

“We have to be quiet. I don’t want your parents to hear us.” I whispered playfully. He wasn’t listening to me.

Fabrice was too into what he was doing. He grabbed my hair and pulled my head back. I loved it when he did that. His mouth went to my neck and he sucked and kissed me. Fabrice sat up and pulled me with him. We were siting face to face with his cock deep inside me. In that position his cock was rubbing my clit and I couldn’t help but rub myself back and forth. The orgasm shocked my body with every sensation on overload. All my senses were on.

I grabbed him as I bit his shoulder to keep from screaming.

He came right after me with a moan into my ear. He spewed inside me for a long minute. He held me and clawed at my back until he relaxed with me.

“I will have to leave today if your parents heard us. I won’t be able to look at Anais.”

“Please, Anais and Romain were going at it last night. I heard them.” I stayed in his arms as he rolled on his back.

  “Stop it.” I laughed.

“I mean it. They fuck all over the house. You may see it while you’re here. “

“Mamma and Dad.” I giggled again as he tickled me.

  Chapter 25

The highlight of my Paris trip was helping Anais cook. She loved to cook as much as I did and I learned about Fabrice’s favorite foods. She showed me how to make, soufflé, tarte tatin and hachis Parmentier. She told me whatever I do, don’t make him anything with asparagus or beets. He hated that. While we cooked we also drank wine. By dinner time I was tanked again. Fabrice spent the day with his dad going over and running errands, they went to lunch, and took the cats to the vet. We had another wonderful dinner outside with the food I helped make. That evening we took a drive in his Bugatti to some attractions in the town, chateau de Saint-Germain-en-laye. We went to Fabrice’s old school, Lycee International. It also looked like a castle. After that, we went to the old apartment he had before he became the Ambassador. I loved the town and being alone with Fabrice. He wanted to stay in Paris with me that night. I didn’t know he had a bag packed and reservations made at the same hotel we first stayed in.

It was hot and sticky, and thankfully he packed a couple of dresses for me. August in Paris is the least busy. Even the locals go away that time of year. We ate at a café and did some shopping. He wanted to buy Avery something special so he went into a Chanel store and bought her a sweater and he wouldn’t leave until I picked out something. My favorite designer; he didn’t have to twist my arm to get me a Chanel necklace with pearls. I told him he should get a gift for his mom and he picked up some ear
rings for her.

That night we took a long, hot bath together. He washed me and held me in his arms.

“Are we going back to your parents tomorrow?”

“Yes, they’re having a small family get together. They want everyone to meet you.”

Fabrice washed my back. The water was warm and bubbly. He kissed my neck.

  “I love your neck.”

I ran my hand across his legs.

“I love every inch of you.”

“The last time I was in Paris I was distraught and a mess. You hurt me and I was alone and battered.” He wrapped his arms around my breasts.

“I’m so sorry. Do we have to talk about that?”

“Yes, I want you to know how much I love you. How much I can’t live without you, ever. I can’t lose you again.”

“You won’t have to, Fabrice. I promise it won’t happen again. I don’t want to be without you. Please be patient with me and my insecurities. I’m getting better. Each day I’m stronger.”

“You are, I see it. When someone tells you how beautiful you are, you don’t cringe. That’s a feat in itself.”

“Well, that is going to take some work. When a person spends time with you and puts you down the

entire time it tends to wear on you over the years. How I stayed with him is insane. I don’t know how I did it.”

“It’s over now and will not happen again. He is where he belongs.” That didn’t sound good. I let it go.

I turned around and decided the bathtub would be a good place to take him before we went to bed. He grabbed my ass and I climbed on top of him. His mouth on mine as he breathed heavy. He cupped my breasts in each hand and squeezed them. I moaned knowing where we were headed.

“I can’t do what I want to you in the small tub. Let’s go to the bed.”

“And what is it you want to do to me?” I breathed.

“Own you, possess you and taste you.”

That he did until we left the next morning. I was flying back alone in two days. Fabrice had to stay in Paris for work. He wouldn’t tell me why only that it was a continuing issue and he didn’t want me to worry. That alone terrified me.

We arrived back at the Arbidoux mansion as lunch was coming out of the oven. There were many cars in the driveway and I was excited to meet his family. On our way back, I texted Avery. She was fine, bored, and considering going back to school in six months. Her and Cherise were doing great. Medication was still working and she went to her appointments. The blood work came back with no signs of rejections. She asked if we could go for Lebanese because it makes Cherise sick. I texted her back as soon as I landed I would come home and we would go.

I tried texting my family but they didn’t respond. It was noon when I walked into the front door expecting it to be full of relatives. Fabrice had our bag on his shoulder.

“Mamma, Dad?” he yelled from the foyer. It echoed through the house.

“Let’s see if they are outside. Lord, I hope they aren’t screwing in the laundry room or something.” We started to walk through the hallway to the dining room and I began to crack up picturing the two of them going at it with Anais bent over the washing machine.

“Isabella, get yourself together.” He laughed at me. I covered my face with my hand trying to stop the crazy picture in my head when I walked into the kitchen. To my utter shock, my parents, Sophia and Ben were standing there.

My laughter went to tears when I saw them.

  “What the fuck?” I yelled.

“Isabella, the mouth.” My mom yelled and ran to hug me.

“What are you doing here?” I didn’t understand. Why were they standing in Fabrice’s parents’ house?

“Fabrice invited us. He said it was a family get together.” My dad walked over to me and took me in his arms. I began to cry and shake. This was wonderful.

  Fabrice spoke up.

“Everyone, let’s go outside. Momma has cooked a wonderful meal for everyone and we can talk and catch up.”

I walked over to Sophia and touched her stomach. She was getting bigger each day it seemed.

“How are you feeling?” I asked. Ben was right beside her. I grabbed his hand. He bent over and kissed me on the cheek.

“I’m well. We’re good. His dad came around. They are coming to the wedding. We are having a girl, Izz.’

“Oh my God. I’m so happy for you both. Now I can go and buy designer baby clothes.”

“Let’s not get crazy, Isabella. You aren’t working right now.”

I waved at her and Fabrice’s dad handed me another large glass of wine.

“Come on, let’s go outside. Anais gets crazy when dinner is served and no one eats.”

My mom and Anais seemed to hit it off already. They were laughing and holding onto each other. I walked out to the terrace set for a huge dinner.

“I thought there were going to be more relatives?” I asked Romain. That man never let me out of his sight.

“No, just your family, Isabella, and us.” I shrugged.

The food was being passed around as I took my seat next to Fabrice. He wasn’t sitting down. Standing and watching everyone talk and laugh made him smile. I gazed at him and he winked at me.

“Everyone can I have your attention for a second.” He cupped his hands over his mouth so everyone could hear him better.

  There was silence.

“If I could have a second, please, I want to say something.” Anais and my mom were laughing.

I looked over to her and raised my finger to my mouth and she stuck her tongue out at me. I could tell she’d been drinking.

“Isabella, can you come up here with me, please.”

I wiped my mouth on my napkin and put my wine glass down. Walking up to him my legs started to shake for some unknown reason. He looked so handsome with the sun shining down on him. He hadn’t shaved in days and I loved the scruff on his face. I loved the way it brushed across my body when he made love to me, the way it felt that morning when he professed his love for me in bed.

“I invited you here today for a special reason. I know how important Isabella’s family is to her. I love to look at her face when she is around you. She is happy, and confident. I know we are missing a few people she loves. Danny is at the restaurant, but he’s here on the phone, Danny are you there?”

I heard “Hell yeah.” His picture popped up on my dad’s I phone he had in his hand.

  “Okay, perfect.”

  “Marco, are you with us?”

“Right here.” He said on my mom’s phone. “Hi, Izz.”

“Hey, Marco. I need to talk to you.”

“Last but not least, where is Avery?”

“Hey, baby.” I heard on my sister’s phone. There was Avery lying down with Cherise next to her. Both of them smiling and waving at me.

“Now that we have everyone here I’m going to do what I have wanted to do since the day Isabella walked into my office looking for a job.”

What the hell was going on? Maybe he was asking me to move in with him now that Cherise and Avery were married. I wouldn’t mind that. I don’t know if he can do that as the Ambassador unless we were....

Before I could realize what was truly happening, Fabrice knelt on one knee and held up a box. I covered my face with my hands. This wasn’t happening.

“Isabella, the love of my life, my soul and my best friend. Will you make me the happiest man on earth and marry me?”

He opened the box to uncover the most beautiful diamond ring I had ever seen. It was huge.

I began to shake uncontrollably and cry. I heard Avery say,

“Izz, settle it down.” Everyone laughed.

I looked at my mom and tears were running down her cheeks. My dad was smiling.

“Yes, Fabrice. I would love to be your wife forever.” God, that sounded dumb, I thought, after I said it.

Everyone screamed and jumped up and down, like at my parents’ house when Sophia said yes.

  With shaky hands,
Fabrice put the ring on my left hand and kissed it. When he was done I knelt down on the floor, took his face in my hands, and kissed him.

His eyes met mine and I saw only him at that moment.

He was crying. I was crying, and I noticed everyone was crying. Once we stood up, we made our way around the family, hugging and kissing everyone. More wine was being poured.

Anais came up to me and took my hands looking in my eyes.

“You have no idea what this means to him. To have you make my Fabrice smile and come to life again is a blessing. He has been through so much. With Celeste dying, his brother trying to get back into his life and the death threats of his job, you are just what he needs.”

His brother trying to get back into his life, death threats? What was she taking about? That was the first I heard of any of that.

I smiled at her. Should I ask or go with it?

“I have only heard of his brother once. Did they have a falling out?” I asked.

  “He didn’t tell you?”

“No, he mentioned he had a brother and that he was in the military. He hasn’t brought him up again.”

“Well, he had reasons not to. You need to talk to him about it. I don’t want to get in the middle of it. I thought you knew, Isabella. I’m sorry.”

“And death threats? This is the first I’ve heard of that.” I saw her face get whiter.

“I’m so sorry, Isabella. Fabrice is very private. He wouldn’t have told us but they mentioned us in the threats. I’m sure he didn’t want to worry you.”

“I’m sure that was it.” I didn’t know what else to stay. Fabrice kept too many aspects of his life from me. I looked at him and his gaze caught mine. He winked and smiled. I know he doesn’t tell me things to protect me and keep me from worrying about him but this was ridiculous. We needed to have a long talk before I went home the next day.

After the dinner with my family and plans were starting to be made, I pulled Fabrice to me.

“Hey, where are we staying tonight?” I asked as he pulled me in for a kiss.
