The Sword of Davalon

The next thing the children knew, they were sat in front of a blank computer screen.
‘Well that was truly amazing,’ said Lara, ‘but what shall we do now?’
‘We’ll have to creep up to bed,’ said David. ‘Lara, you can sleep in Diana’s room.’
‘We’ve already decided that,’ said Diana, ‘but look at the time, it’s still only eight o’clock!’
‘Well I did tell you that time would stand still,’ smiled Johnny.
‘The Sword of Davalon,’ gasped David, ‘it’s gone!’
‘And so has the Cloak of Mennea,’ said Johnny, feeling really upset.
‘My dagger’s gone as well.’
‘At least I still have the Ring of Tyros and his medallion.’
‘That’s strange,’ mused David, ‘but no doubt our powers, maybe new ones, will be given back to us when we go in search of the Wizard Zenotek!’
‘Who’s the Wizard Zenotek?’ said Diana, looking rather worried.
‘Oh, err, well, we’ll tell you about that tomorrow, won’t we, Johnny?’
‘Yea, anyway we’d better go to bed before mum and dad wake up.’
As the two girls crept up the stairs, Johnny said to David, ‘When are we going to try and free King Tyros and King Davalon?’
‘Soon Johnny, I think very soon. It looks as though all this has just been the start of our adventures.’
‘Goodnight,’ whispered the girls, as they reached the top of the stairs.
‘Goodnight,’ replied David.
Then Johnny smiled and corrected them all by saying, ‘Good morning!’

The Trek of
the Rainbow
Warriors
By
Tom Jolleys
In the second book in the Davalon series, the children travel to the planet Davalon, which is covered by a huge rainbow. This rainbow splits the planet into seven coloured zones. They start off their great trek in the Red Zone. On their journey they come up against some of the most scary, the most dangerous, the most gruesome, the most powerful… Well I can’t tell you any more because I don’t want to spoil it for you. But it really is an incredibly exciting book, and the children are up against all sorts of creatures! They also meet some nice and cuddly ones as well. It is absolutely incredible!
When J.J. (that’s my daughter, Jessica), read this book, she told me that it was the most exciting book she had ever read! So I sincerely hope that you enjoy it just as much as Jessica.
