Jaxie's Menage

by Jan Springer

Hot and heavy sex on her office desk or in one of the club’s upstairs rooms when she “had a moment” and wasn’t busy just hadn’t cut it anymore.

Ewan inhaled and blew out a tense breath as he passed her office. The door was closed, but that didn’t stop the memories from popping up. She’d been so sexy, so irresistible. He hadn’t been able to stay away from her. He’d been like a moth drawn to a deadly flame.

That searing, sexy flame had burned him. Badly.

Yet here he was back at the club, like a damned idiot. It was a place he’d sworn he’d never come back to. But because everybody else had a life and he didn’t, Royce had asked him to drop off Jaxie’s cell phone, which she’d inadvertently left in the communication station when Jaxie had been chatting with their dispatcher, Amanda. Royce had agreed to return the cell phone, but then he’d been unexpectedly called away to help his sister run one of her kids to a specialist in Calgary.

When he’d learned Jaxie wouldn’t be here tonight, because she was at a business meeting, he’d decided to do Royce a favor and bring over the cell phone.

Yeah, just like the old days. He was Jaxie’s gopher while she was doing business, instead of doing him in their bed every night where she belonged. Man, he just never learned, did he?

“Hi, Ewan,” Rachel called from an open doorway straight ahead.

She wore a kerchief on her head, allowing only a few strands of her brown hair to peek out. Her dark-brown eyes sparkled and her cheeks were flushed as she pushed out a cart filled with cleaning materials from the ladies’ restroom.

He’d met Rachel a couple of times since she’d been back in town. The last time was when she’d helped dig Jaxie free from that avalanche. Man, he still couldn’t believe how lucky they’d been in locating her so quickly.

Rachel had done all the right things by carrying a receiver, and she’d seen Jaxie get coughed to the surface for an instant shortly before the avalanche had stopped. She’d started looking for her in a grid pattern while the rescue crew had still been in the sky.

Jaxie had always spoken fondly of Rachel, saying that Rachel was a great planner and organizer.

Her planning and organizing had saved Jaxie’s life.

He should be happy about it, but for some odd reason, he was feeling grumpy and just wanted to get out of here and away from the memories of the woman he’d thought for sure was the one.

Rachel stopped her cart in front of the men’s room and he joined her there.

“Hey. I thought Royce was coming?” she asked.

  He has a life.

“He had an unexpected errand to run.”

“Oh, shoot. How’d you get in? Or did I forget to lock the door?”

  He held up his keychain.

Her eyes widened and sudden understanding flashed across her face. Embarrassment followed.

“Oh, yeah. Okay. You shouldn’t have gone out of your way. He could have called and I would have come and gotten it.”

“It’s okay, I had some time.” No use in chewing Rachel’s head off. He was the one who was being a grumpy asshole.

“Well, anyway. Thanks so much for dropping off the cell. Jaxie’s got all her important phone numbers on there and I can’t get any work done without them. She’d lost the phone already a couple of days ago and had reported it stolen. She’s really glad Amanda called to say she had found it.”

He was about to hand her the phone, when she waved him away with green-plastic-gloved hands.

“Oh no, could you just drop it into her office? The door is unlocked. I shouldn’t be touching it with my gloves and if I keep it with me, it would be my luck that I’ll accidentally drop it down a urinal or something.”

“Sure.” Ewan couldn’t stop himself from grinning. He should have done just that with her cell. He should have dumped it into the toilet and flushed it when they’d been together. She’d even brought the damned thing to bed with them…on the nights she came home.

  Oh well, hindsight was twenty-twenty.

He was about to turn, when Rachel spoke again. “Ewan?”

  “Yeah?”

When Ewan spied tears welling in Rachel’s eyes, he knew what she was about to say.

“I really want to thank you so much for what you did for Jaxie. I believe if you hadn’t been there, she wouldn’t have made it.”

“She’s a tough woman. She would have made it.” It wasn’t a lie. She was gutsy, gorgeous, and great in bed. Yet she’d been so vulnerable lying deathly still on that litter in the helicopter. His gut clenched in remembrance.

  “Just…thanks,” she whispered.

Before he knew what was happening, she was embracing him. Warmth from her hug melted his grumpiness and when she let him go, he was suddenly glad he’d dropped by.

“Do you still remember where her office is?” she asked.

“Yeah. I’ll just put her cell on her desk.”

“And then you can pop around front for a beer on the house. For your troubles. I’ll let the bartender know.”

“Nah, it’s been a long day. I’ll just go home. But thanks for the offer.”

Rachel nodded, and then knocked loudly on the men’s restroom door. When there was no answer, she pushed the cart into the men’s restroom.

Ewan sighed as he watched the bathroom door close behind her.

Jaxie was lucky to have such a nice friend. She appeared so sincere and concerned for Jaxie’s well being.

A hell of alot more than I’ve been doing. He frowned as he strolled down the hallway. A moment later, he twisted the knob on her office door and stepped inside. The room was dimly lit and just as small and chaotic as he remembered.

  It smelled of her too.

Freshness and flowers. He’d always loved that unique smell of hers. It was what had attracted him to her in the first place when they’d run into each other, quite literally, right outside a local restaurant.

Ewan had almost knocked Jaxie off her feet when he rounded a corner of the restaurant and she’d been right in front of him. He hadn’t been able to stop in time and bumped right into her. Profusely apologizing and so embarrassed at almost injuring her, he’d instantly fallen in love with her scent and her smile. And the rest of her.

He’d been alone. She’d been alone. There had been only one table available with a possible half-hour wait for another. He’d told her to take it. She’d invited him to eat with her. They’d moved in together a month later. Two years later, he’d moved out.

That had been more than a year ago, and he still missed her like crazy.

He grinned as he gazed around the room. A bookshelf lined one wall. It was cluttered and overflowing with papers and binders. Her desk wasn’t any better. The only time it ever got cleared was when they’d made love on it.

  So many times.

His shaft hardened at the memories of lifting her dress, and then thrusting his aching cock deep inside her pussy. He’d loved hearing her sharp inhalation as he withdrew and then thrust into her again. And again.

He enjoyed how her eyes widened as he kept her from climaxing. He’d make her hold onto the pleasure until she was panting and whimpering. Sometimes she was so loud that he swore if anyone had been outside in the hallway, they’d know what was going on in her office.

He dipped his hand into his jacket pocket and withdrew the cell. He placed it on her desk right by her black purse…

  What the hell?

Why was Jaxie’s purse here? Rachel had said Jaxie wasn’t here.

Suddenly, Jaxie’s private bathroom door opened and she stepped out.

He tensed the instant she saw him. Her scent swept around him and trapped him. He should leave, yet he couldn’t move. It was the old moth-drawn-to-the-flame scenario.

  Shit.

It appeared he’d popped by the club on Vampire Night. She wore a sexy black dress that hugged all her curves. She’d dyed her hair black and she’d had her bangs cut straight across. Unless it was a wig.

  Her lips we
re blood red and she looked like a vampire seductress coming out to play all night…or maybe to have sex with a stranger.

  Jealousy crackled through him.

“What are you doing here?” he snapped.

Her perfectly arched eyebrows dipped in disapproval and she snarled, giving him a great view of her fake fanged teeth.

  Sexy pointed teeth.

He wouldn’t mind running his tongue over those fake fangs. His penis jerked against his pants.

“Umm, I work here,” she replied. Irritation laced her voice.

“I was told you wouldn’t be here.”

She frowned. “Which leads me to ask, why are you here?”

He picked up the cell he’d place on her desk and held it up for her to see.

“I’m being your errand boy. I was told this belonged to you. We all know how you can’t live without constant interruptions compliments of your cell.” Anger laced his voice. He tried to rein it in, but it was useless. Too many memories had put him into a sour mood.

“That’s not mine. Mine’s in my purse.”

Quickly, she brushed past him. Her shoulder touched his as she dug her cell phone out of her purse. It looked just like the one he’d brought here.

She was close. Way too close. He could reach out and kiss that anger right out of her. Kiss it right out of him too.

He should, just for the hell of it.

“Who gave you the idea I was missing my phone?” she griped as she dropped it back into her purse and turned to face him.

Her body heat ignited extreme awareness inside him. He’d always liked the way her warm body had greeted him after a long cold day of rescuing people.

“Royce said that Amanda found it. Apparently, you were talking to her the other day when you were by the headquarters. Then Rachel just said you’d lost yours.”

A smiled played on her lips. She shook her head.

  “I think we’ve been duped.”

“Duped?” Like he’d come over here for nothing?

“It seems Royce and Rachel are trying to play matchmaker. They should seriously leave the job to an expert. They know we are over. You made it quite clear a year ago, and it was solidly put back into my mind when I came over the other day to thank you for saving my life.”

  Guilt swept over him.

“I apologize for behaving that way. I was…” Was what? Taken by surprise at being aroused while seeing her with Royce? Or running from her so he wouldn’t get burned again?

Man, she really did smell good. And that red lipstick on her plump lips sparkled an invitation in the dim light. He’d always enjoyed kissing her when she was mad.

“You were what?” she asked in a suddenly soft voice.

His eyes snapped away from her sweet looking lips to her wary gaze.

For a second, he didn’t know what she was questioning him about. Then his brain snapped back to reality and he remembered why he should stay away from her. He was the moth…

“I was working. I didn’t have time to stay and chat.”

  Anger darkened her eyes.

“Well, I am working, so if you’ll excuse me, I have a vampire party to host. Maybe I’ll even pick up a very well-hung vamp for a one-night stand. I’m sure he’ll treat me a hell of a lot better than you treated me the other day…and tonight. You can show yourself out,” she said in an icy voice.

Wow, she sure did know how to dismiss a guy. The cold bitch. Fury gripped him.

He was about to turn away and stomp out, but the disappointed look on her face a second before she turned away from him, stopped him cold.

She noticed his hesitation and suddenly appeared nervous.

“I forgot my cape,” she mumbled.

She made a move toward the bathroom, but he grabbed her by her elbow and spun her around.

The look of surprise splashing across her face and the rush of anger spearing through him was the perfect mix to make him lose control.

Suddenly, all he wanted to do was brand her. He wanted to remind her that she had once belonged to him. She whimpered, as a split second later, his mouth fused over hers and his hands settled firmly on her hips.

Jaxie couldn’t believe what was happening. One minute they’d been fighting and the next minute his mouth was claiming hers.

Wow, his hands felt good on her body. Boy, he sure knew how to kiss too! His warm lips melted over hers with an intoxicating firmness that scorched a trail of fire through her entire being. Her legs weakened. The demanding press of his body made her step back until the rear of her thighs hit the desk behind her. She heard something clatter onto the floor.

Torn between the tenderness for him and for knowing she should stay away from him, she gave into her instincts, reached up, and wrapped her arms around his neck.

A sensible part of her told her she was just grabbing him to brace herself, but a naughty part wanted more from him. His scent filled the air around her. He smelled of pine trees and mild soap. Of newness and of freedom.

He kissed her deeper. He seduced her quivering lips with challenging strokes, until she parted and let him in. His tongue darted inside and shockwaves shimmered through her as their tongues touched with a boldness she loved.

Heat uncurled deep inside her pussy. Arousal shifted within her. Need made her feverish.

It was like old times. Him being here. Her need to have him fucking her right here on the desk.

She moaned at that thought. It would be wrong to go backward. So wrong.

His kiss became rougher. She could feel the hurt in him, the desperation, the love he still felt for her. Pleasure thrust her into a dark world of want.

Her hands slipped from his neck to his strong shoulders. She remembered his ski jacket had been unzipped. The first few buttons of his shirt had been unbuttoned, giving her a glimpse of his soft, curly chest hairs.

She wanted to touch those hairs. With a moan into his mouth, she pushed the jacket off his body. Her fingers were her eyes as she quickly unbuttoned. When the shirt was fully open, she slipped her hands against his flesh. Intense heat greeted her, and she smoothed her palms over his chest muscles. They bunched and flexed beneath her fingers.

He groaned into her mouth. It was a guttural sound that encouraged her to slide her hands down his chest and smooth her palms along the ripples of muscles lacing his lower belly.

Oh wow, she remembered this sexy part of him. She loved running her fingers along his rippled flesh and enjoyed the way his belly muscles jerked beneath her touch.

She should stop right here, before she went lower. He should stop her. Did he want her to stop? It didn’t appear that he did.

His groans grew louder and his intoxicating kiss deepened until pleasure flowed through her like a drug. It numbed her thoughts and sparked her senses.

  She kissed him harder.

Somewhere at the back of her mind it registered that his hands had slipped off her hips. There was a tug at the hem of her dress. Then his palms smoothed over her belly.

Oh, his fingers were so hot!

He pulled down her panties and she cried into his mouth as a couple of fingers dipped into her wet vagina.

Oh God! This is not happening.

  Eagerly, she widened her legs.

  More!

He slid his fingers out of her pussy. She gasped and shuddered as he began a teasing, circular massage over her clit. He left her mouth, his lips moving to kiss her neck. His teeth nipped at the sensitive area behind her earlobe. He knew she liked it when he did that.

  She moaned her approval.

Her hands flew to his zipper. She unzipped him and the heat of his erection pushed against the back of her hand.

She was out of control now. She loved this feeling. She rarely experienced it.

  Oh Ewan, please don’t stop.

Every nerve ending was on fire. Heat blossomed all over her. Her heart pounded frantically. She wanted him fucking her.

That thought should have sobered her back to reality. It did
n’t. Damn him for doing this to her.

She shivered as he plunged his fingers into her again and collected more cream. Then his fingers returned to her clit. He massaged frantically until she was jolting beneath his touch.

Pleasure burned her. Her hands slid beneath the waistband of his jeans and she lowered them and then his underwear over his hips. His cock was hot and heavy as she clenched his hard flesh. She massaged his shaft, squeezed its length, and made love to his flaring cockhead with her hands.

  He growled his approval.

A hand pressed over her clothed right breast and he squeezed and then rubbed her nipple until it was taut and on fire. He sucked her earlobe into his hot mouth. Spirals of shivers zapped through her.

Bastard! He always knew how to drive her insane with arousal.

She was shaking when his hands left her and then he cupped her ass. She knew what was coming. They’d done this so many times before. She missed it. She missed him.

He lifted her and settled her ass onto her desk. Things toppled over and off the desk and smashed onto the floor.

For the split second that he stared at her, his eyes glazed with a wildness she hadn’t seen before. It frightened her. It aroused her.

“I’m going to make you mine, Jax. Make it so you won’t want any other man tonight,” he whispered in a guttural voice that whispered over her senses like sexy tickles.

Desire raged through her but somewhere deep inside her mind, the idea formed that they had no protection. She wasn’t on the pill. He didn’t have a condom.

She should tell him to stop.

She closed her eyes as his mouth melted over hers and all thoughts of caution spiraled away. Her hands slid over his chest again. Beneath her fingertips, his heart pounded like crazy. Quickly she found his nipples, and squeezed and twisted until he was shuddering.

His demanding lips made love to her mouth. His hands caressed her breasts and she jerked when his cockhead pressed into her vagina.
