Bloody Vows

Page 26

by J. E Hanson

He leans in, and he caresses my lips with his. He draws me in, knowing what his kisses do to me. I feel the warm sensation vibrate between my thighs. He slips his tongue in my mouth, rubbing his over mine. He is amazingly hot, and he is incredibly sexy today. I manage to come up for air, “I am scared, Chris! What if we have sex and I become pregnant again? I am afraid to go through, what we went through with Feather all over again. I need more time.”

He softly pecks my cheek, and then he glances at the doors, “When you put it that way, I guess you are right. Please accept my apology for being insensitive. I miss feeling your bare skin next to mine. I will give you space, and wait for when you are ready. I love you very much, and I desire you badly.”

The way he puts it, makes me want to hand Feather over to Ian, but I am attempting restraint, “I want you too, but I have to catch up on my homework. I am so far behind. I promise I will, when I’m ready.”

Sophia knocks on the door, “You have a package at the front gate, Jeannie.”

“Why is there a package at the gate? Where is it at?”

Sophia opens our door glancing at Feather and me with an expression of worry on her face, “We fear that it comes from Ava. She has made threats against both princesses. We are afraid that it might be a bomb.”

Christian whistles to the men. They join us in his office, and they wait for their orders. He directs Leo, “You have to remain vigilant. There is an unmarked package for Jeannie at the gate. I fear it might be a bomb—or another distraction. I have a sinking feeling that the package comes from Ava. Please take the others, and use the bomb equipment. We need to see, what the hell she sent Jeannie and Feather.”

I survey the area to see an empty castle. He places Feather and I in her room, and then he locks us inside. He left us, to see what Leo finds. Feather stops nursing, and then she coos at me. I lay her in her crib, and push her baby mobile for her. Sam outdid himself, when he took it upon himself to design her bedroom. I swaddle her, and sit beside her crib.

The BIB returns with Christian shaking his head in disgust, “That was another attempt on your lives. I am tired of her mind games. How is our baby?”

I point to show that she is fast asleep for now. He kneels beside me, “Sam is assembling her bassinet in our bedroom. Willow wants to know, if she can take pictures of our baby.”

I watch her sleep. For once, I hug him, “I will tell Willow that it is okay. I would love pictures of Feather. I need to take a shower, and finally dress like a person for a change. Where did everyone go?”

Christian seems confused, and then he remembers, “The angels and fairies have returned to Avalon for their spring harvest. Their houses are completed. They hired more help to keep them safe at their homes. Joey wants to pull Rosalie out of college. Gabriel wants the same. They are arguing in which it makes no sense for them to go to college, since their husbands are capable of providing for them. I am in agreement with them. I believe you need to focus your attention on us, and not worry about college anymore. I make more than enough money, and you have enough money too. I am requesting that you formally drop out.”

“I know you want me to drop out, but I want to keep up with my studies. I promise not to go to college, if you allow Sam to keep tutoring me. I like the idea of staying home to take care of you and Feather,” I throw out a compromise.

Christian crosses his arms, and he doesn’t seem happy with my decision, “You drive a hard bargain, Mrs. Hunter, but I will accept homeschool, versus attending the university. Thanks for sounding reasonable this time.”

Sam informs us that he is finished with Feather’s bassinet.

He helps me up, and then he mashes my lips with his passionately. I can no longer ignore the pangs of heat between my thighs. Before he left, he changed into his Enforcer uniform. I love it when he wears leather. I refuse to give him time. I shove him towards our bedroom. He chuckles at me, because my hormones are surging out of control.

  Chapter 26

I tug on his hand to coerce him to join me. He still chuckles, “I thought you wanted to wait. Why are you changing your mind so quickly?”

My fangs descend, and he knows he is done for. I help him out of all his leather. I am hardly wearing much these days. I stand in front of him naked, “Try to work with me right now. Our daughter is asleep, and I want to take full advantage of the situation. I am tired of you teasing me.”

“I love it, when my wife takes control. You should do this more often… this is highly arousing.”

I shove him on our bed, and climb on top of him. He pauses us for a minute, “I have to do something really quick. This is one of the latest inventions from Ian, so if you remain patient, I will take care of something.”

He takes out his wallet. I am trying to figure out, what Ian gave him. I watch him take out a condom. I try to keep a straight face, but after what I have been through, it makes perfect sense. After he rolls it on, he allows me to continue my pursuit of happiness. I pin him down with my thighs, and make my move. I pounce on him as a wild lioness, and he loves this new take-charge side of me. I give him what he wants, but I want the same thing. I refuse to stop at nothing to get it. I slam his cock deep inside, and feel his road to infinite bliss. He knew I would come around, and I did.

The three hours of sex ends with a faint cry. Nothing kills a mood like a baby crying. I manage to finish him and myself off with perfect timing. I know Ian will run to her, so we take a shower together. I am right, because a few minutes later, Ian is in her room feeding her an emergency bottle.

Chris gives me another kiss, “Thank you for giving me attention too. I should learn to wear leather more often.”

I chuckle and quickly left the shower to dry off. The body dryers in the floors make it easy, and we use less towels. I feel, as if my legs are standing in concrete. Everything feels, as if I am moving in slow motion. No matter what I try to do, I am unable to dress fast enough—or put my makeup on fast enough. I walk out of our bedroom, and straight into her room. To my relief, Ian sits in the rocking chair feeding her. He has his shades on his head, and he stares at my daughter with the upmost love. I casually stroll to his side, and then glance down at her. She drinks her bottle, while focusing on Ian.

“I refuse to change diapers, chick. But, she is pretty hungry. I hope you are not upset,” he smiles at me, but that is okay with me.

“I am not even upset. I am happy Uncle Ian rushed to her aid, during her time of need. I have to change her though.”

He hands her off to me. I quickly change her diaper, and change her clothes. I found my wrap, and place her in it. He holds the door open for me. He walks beside me, and escorts me to the enormous library. The older vampires discuss strategy. I want to put an end to her tyranny. The first thing to do is to take out my laptop for a map of Romania. I guess she has a love for dark and mysterious places. Which is where I would go, if I were an evil and methodical vampire.

Ian notices what I am doing, “You need to leave your sister to us. We know what we are doing, and we will find her. You need to take care of that gorgeous little girl.”

“She should have been captured by now! I believe I can find her first. She will not rest until she hurts us all. How am I supposed to relax, when she might be hiding in every dark corner? What happens if I die? I never want to worry about my sister lurking in the shadows just to hurt Feather. Please let me find the crazy bitch!” Ian backs off, knowing I’m in a middle of a rant.

“We are doing everything in our power to stop her, darling. We had her in our grasp. Her freaking husband is who saved her ass. We are honestly trying, darling. Please try to relax,” Charlie argues.

“Why has it taken so long? Let me find her! I can track her down better than anyone in this room,” I argue my point until Christian walks over to me.

He sits beside me, “Who will watch our daughter? What will happen to Feather, while you are chasing her? Feather needs her mother, and she requires your nourishment. The problem is tha
t your sister has people supporting her crazy husband. I am talking about very influential supernatural creatures, who are funding them. We have to take them out, before we can trap her. Yes, we had her in our grasp a few times, but each time she magically slips away. Please remain reasonable, by thinking logically here. Our daughter requires your full attention. Feather is at a critical point in her existence.”

“I agree with your husband. I want to tell you that after this meeting adjourns, I have to run more tests on Feather. I need to see how much vampire she has inside her. We believe she will eventually stop growing, and then she will turn immortal at some point; however; we need to keep monitoring her levels,” Zane informs me.

The men return to their meeting. I finish feeding Feather and place her in her crib. Her baby monitor is on. I return to our bedroom, and begin to work on my homework, but I turn on the television to watch all the crazy vampire shows. I snicker at other stupidity from vampires until something breaks programming.

I stop working on my homework, to see Ava is on the screen, “I hope my sister watches this. First, I want to congratulate her on her little abomination. I heard you had trouble staying alive.”

There was no need to yell. The Enforcers can hear my voice quietly speak to them outside our bedroom, “Ava is at it again, and she is on television.”

The BIB swarms our bedroom to watch Ava sit behind an ebony desk. The black remote rewinds to the very beginning of her speech. The men watch her intently.

“I guess you are still here. Which is okay Jeannie, because there is another special surprise for you. Do you remember your old friends? I sure do.” My stomach flips, when Ava pans the camera over to Mesa and Arizona’s house.

“You have precisely twenty-four hours to save your friends or KAHBAM! Enjoy your little precious abomination.” I jump from my chair ready to spit nails at Ava.

The screen fades, and I run for the door. Christian pins me to the ground, “YOU ARE NOT GOING!”

I squirm in his grasp, “THEY ARE MY FRIENDS! I WILL NOT SIT BY, AND LET HER KILL THEM!”

Christian keeps his body over mine, “LISTEN TO ME! THIS IS A TRAP! I CAN SMELL ONE A MILE AWAY! PLEASE COME TO YOUR SENSES!”

I stop fighting with him, after five minutes, “Please let me go! I have to help them, before she kills them. I know I can save them!”

Christian pulls my arms down, “You are not in any condition to save anyone. I will not lose my wife and the mother of my child to Ava. You know this is a trap. Please think logically for a change.”

I sit up, but he is still holding my wrists, “I am begging you to help just this one time. Please let me save them!”

Christian pulls me to his chest, “I will not lose you! This is too dangerous for you! You have to let them go, Jeannie! You have a family to think about.”

I sob in his arms, and he pulls me tightly to his chest. He places me on our bed. He makes sure that I am thinking logically.

Sophia joins our room with his cell phone, “You have an important phone call, your Majesty.”

Christian points at me, “You better stay here! Do I need to ask one of the guys to watch you?”

I sweetly walk over to my husband, “I love you, and I promise not to do anything stupid.”

“I am proud that my wife is thinking logically again. I have to answer this important phone call. After I finish this phone call, we will leave for dinner.”

I shook my head yes, and give him a fake smile. I wait until he leaves the room, and I quickly dial two people, who I know will help me, “Rosalie, I need your help.”

  “Where are you at?”

I peek around the room, “I am under watch in my bedroom. Can you bring Ember with you too?”

They snap themselves in my bedroom. I put a finger to my lips to motion them to remain quiet. I rewind the tape for them to see.

Rosalie frowns, “Ava refuses to stop! I will help you out, because I want to kill that bitch!”

Ember grins, “I believe we can take Ava down too. Where do we need to go?”

I take out a pair of binoculars, and I pack my things. Rosalie and Ember change into a pair of blue jeans too. They hold my arms, and we snap to my old house in Berry, Kentucky. Luckily, we hit nighttime. I found the old pickup truck in which used to belong to my dad, and we pile in it.

Rosalie pulls her hair back in a ponytail, “Does anyone have an idea on how we will rescue Mesa and Arizona yet? We need to formulate some kind of a plan, in case this is a trap.”

I notice that her cell phone begins to ring. She places it on silent, “I already know he will yell at me again. I will deal with him later.”

The phone Ember has begins to ring, but she answers, “Hi, honey! Oh no, everything is okay. I am with Jeannie and Rosalie. Well, we are sort of on the road right now, but we will be home soon. Don’t worry! We are not getting into any kind of trouble. Where is Rosalie’s phone? I believe her phone is dead right now. She is busy right now. He has nothing to worry about now. We are on the interstate right now. I am sorry, but I am unable to hear you right now, Gabe. I think the phone is breaking up. I am sorry, babe!”

She hits the ‘end’ button on her phone, “Our husbands are on to us. We better hurry, and help your friends, before they tell Christian next.”

“Please tell me they are not going to the castle right now?” I instantly whine, knowing her answer will not be good.

Ember grimaces at us, “They said if we don’t come home right now, they will talk to Christian, and he will tell them where we are. They guess it has something to do with Jeannie.”

I drove to the house, and I park the truck. I take out my guns, and load them. I order the girls, “You two need to stay in the truck. Whatever you do, lock the doors, and stay here.”

Rosalie jumps out of the truck first, “Which will not happen. I am still pregnant, but I can still fight too. I am still agile. I am not about to let my cousin walk into this trap alone.”

Ember jumps out the other side, “I am coming too! We have to end this crap, for the last time. I know we can do this, girls. Let’s stick together, and find out what is going on.”

We run through the park. Now my cell vibrates. I run towards Mesa and Arizona’s house. We make it to their backyard. I take out the binoculars, and continue to ignore my cell phone for the second time. Rosalie glances at me, “Do you see Ava or any rogues?”

I wait, and put a finger up. I glance inside their house, watching Ava pace back and forth. They are bound together in their living room, along with their parents.

“Ava has them, and their house is swarming with rogues. I have no clue on how we can pull this off,” I said, and I hate our current situation.

I am about to mention something else, but a hand covers my mouth. Now I know we are in big trouble. The surprise guests sends Rosalie into fight mode until she realizes her husband has an angry scowl on his face, “I TOLD YOU TO STAY IN BED! WHEN WILL YOU LISTEN TO ME?”

Christian covers my mouth with his hand, “I should take you home kicking and screaming, but since we have Ava in our grasp, I guess we will hold off on our scolding session until later. You three are lucky that we are very patient, and observant husbands.”

Gabriel yanks his wife up, “This has to be one of the dumbest things you have ever done. I am not picking a fight with you right now. I believe you three need to separate for a week or so. You two are at the end of your pregnancies. You need to be extremely careful with what you do.”

Rosalie remains in her blunt mood, “I know all of us are not thinking clearly right now, but can we return to the task at hand? Our evil cousin has her friends, and we need to rescue them. You should not expect us to let them die.”

Joey shrugs his shoulders, “We will talk later. Now… what is our plan, ladies?”

I stand up, and the rest of the Enforcers from all three sides show up. I know their house better than Ava does. I remember their cellar doors. I take out my guns with my husband brooding behind me
. I quietly open the door in stealth mode. Rosalie and Ember follow me closely. The five men wait until a rogue walks in. Joey grabs the rogue from behind. He covers its mouth, and then he rips his head off.

“Can you be a little grosser next time? Now I will have to clean tar out of my hair for the next few hours!” Rosalie is still speaking her mind, while she irritates her husband.

“What do you want me to do?” Joey becomes short with Rosalie as of late.

Rosalie knocks another rogue out with a nearby bowl, “You can knock them out like that! You always want to kill something.”

Joey moans, and shows his agitation, “Leave it to you, who want to kill rogues humanely.”

Ember and I wait to see two more rogues move. We open the door to the first level of the house. I wait for my husband and his brother to knock out a few more rogues.

After we take out ten rouges, we make it to the top floor. Gabriel peeks in the hallway. I can hear them crying.

“There is no easy way to do this. We have to bust through the house. I will go ahead and freeze them,” Gabriel states as he counts how many rogues are left. He snaps his fingers to freeze all four members of Arizona and Mesa’s family.

Christian formulates a plan, “Either way, we have to distract Ava, because she will end their lives, if we rush in there. Jeannie, as much as I hate this, you need to go ahead, and see if Ava will talk to you. The fairies will pull the four people out, and return them to the castle.”

I hand him my guns, and take a deep breath. I carefully stroll through the hallway. Joey sneaks beside me along with Gabriel. They are invisible.

I walk into the living room, and Ava notices me, “There you are sister. I knew you would not be able to resist! You might as well tell your fairy and angel friends that I can see them. Their invisibility skills suck, since I have a fairy on the payroll.”

Ava takes out a bag of dust, and then she blows it in my direction. Their invisibility spell did not work. The men reemerge to show Gabe and Joey are sandwiching me between them.
