Dominic: The Prince

She lies back panting, looking at me in awe, like I am the only being on the planet. It still isn’t enough; I want more. I need more. I want to fuck her soul.

Hungry and needy, I nip and suck down her body and kneel between her ankles. I pull her drenched panties off and toss them. I lean down and lift her ass and go at her, mouth, tongue, and teeth. I rub my face against her, plunge my tongue into her still quivering pussy and suck her juices. I lap at her like an animal that hasn’t had water in days.

Her cries and pleas excite me. She cries out as if she is begging for a reprieve, and I am not allowing it. Her legs wrap around my shoulders, as she pushes against the source of her pleasure. Me.

I unwrap her legs, grab the back of her neck, and pull her up. I line up my cock with her entrance and bring her fully down on me, hard.

“No, yes, oh, God!” she screams out, as I lift her and pull her down on me, over and over again.

The sound of her skin slapping against mine harshly, her breath being lost each time I impale her, and her loud gasps, moans, and pleas are lost to me as my body trembles inside. The sound of my own heartbeat and blood rushing buzz in my ears until I come hard, holding her against me as I pump her full of my cum.

She holds me tight as her body trembles and fights to find calm. My head rests on hers, as I try to calm my body and regain my composure.

The words come out without want or warning, “Io ti appartengo e tu mi appartieni.”

She lifts her head and closes her eyes. “I don’t know what that means.”

I push both of my hands into her thick brown hair, and hold her head firmly as we look into each other’s eyes. “Neither do I, Laney, but we’ll figure it out.”

Trust is what I see in her eyes and feel as she relaxes against me. Trust is what I hear in her voice when she whispers, “Ok.”

She melts into me and I sit swaying a bit, while I hold her. I can’t will my hands off of her body. I am afraid if I let her go, she will leave, even though I know she is staying, as she says she will.

Her sigh of contentment as she rubs her cheek against my chest confirms it. I hold her as I turn and lie back.

“I don’t want to get up,” she whispers, as she melts further against me.

“Then don’t.” I push the hair, which is damp from perspiration, away from her face and kiss her forehead.

“I’m gonna make a mess all over you,” she smiles, ever so slightly.

“It was my mess to begin with. I will survive.”

She sighs again, and damn if she doesn’t fall asleep on top of me.

  ***

My phone wakes me and she stirs. I look at the clock and it is eleven at night. The missed call is Jase, and another from Abe, and yet another, from Sabato.

I can easily ignore the first two but not Sabato, not with what was about to go down.

I slide her over onto the bed. She doesn’t even stir. I exhausted her. Hell, I am exhausted.

I throw on my boxers, and walk out into the living room area, and am about to call Sabato back, when someone bangs on the door.

What the hell? I think as I look through the peephole.

I open the door and am staring at Abe, Jase, and Zandor.

“What is this, a fucking joke? Are the other two brothers downstairs if you need backup?”

Jase huffs as he walks by me, and the others follow him in. Unbelievable.

“We looked into some things,” Jase says, as they all sit and make themselves comfortable. “I don’t trust that bitch--”

  “Watch it,” I warn.

“Why the fuck are you sticking up for her?” Abe hissed. I know he is probably more concerned with Laney than my connection with Jules.

“She is the one who opened my eyes to what is going on around us.”

“If you suspected this kind of shit,” Jase tossed a file on the coffee table, “you damn sure should have been talking to me.”

I pick up the file and see several photos taken at a Venice casino of Benito, Efisto, and several other well-known white-collar criminals who hide behind money.

There are also some spreadsheets that are highlighted, showing large sums of money going into an account under the name of Angelino Santiago.

“Only thing new here are the photos. Where did you get the pictures?”

“You should have fucking told us money was being laundered!” Abe snaps.

“You should have been watching out for our interest in DeLuca and not just Steel. You, Jase, are the fucking CEO and Abe you’re the CFO. If you had been doing what you were supposed to be, seventy million dollars wouldn’t have disappeared without a flag going up. If Jules hadn’t found out--”

“Jules is involved. That’s her goddamned daughter’s account that this money is being laundered through.”

“Her seven-year-old daughter’s name. Her daughter, who is named after Jules grandmother that died six months ago. It’s her tax information that’s being used. Do you see what’s going on here? Jules wasn’t aware that Benito had paid some people off, to not file her death certificate. She found out when she was cleaning up his office, which she is responsible for because he doesn’t trust the staff. She is my friend…”

“Whose daughter is in a fucking mental institution because a woman like Jules doesn’t want to be bothered,” Zandor snaps.

“You believe what you want,” I say, unwilling to give out any more information.

“So, seventy million dollars and you’re just coming to us?”

“That’s what is there today, in two weeks, it will be gone. I come to you now, because there is no loyalty to DeLuca from Steel. Until Jules and I figured out what was going on, and why, telling you would have put her in greater danger. She is in danger now, but has to be, in order to get him put away.”

“I don’t trust her, Dom, I can’t believe you do. I assume your affair has blurred--”

“She was my friend, she is my friend. I will figure this out, with or without the help and support I expected from men who claim family is everything.”

“Do you think you don’t have our fucking support, Dom? Fuck, all you’d have to say is something’s brewing and we’d be all over it.”

“Yet, you think my dick is leading this campaign.”

“Dick does lead a lot of things, man,” Zandor laughs. “Don’t ever underestimate the power of pussy. It’ll fuck you up bad. Make a strong man--”

“Z, shut the hell up.” Jase rolled his eyes. “I want to know the plan, and then I want to make it better. I hate that bastard.”

“No more than I do. I was raised with him.”

We talk for an hour. They know of Sabato’s role in the plan and think it is risky, but understand that he wants his father to rot in hell for wronging him.

Sabato had told me once that ‘Jail was not enough of a punishment for a man like him.’

Before they leave, Jase looks me in the eye, “Don’t fucking doubt family, like us. We may bitch and mess with each other a lot, but no one on the outside messes with any of us, you included.”

“He’s right, man.” Zandor pats my back. “You fuck a goat and everyone’s giving you shit. Even if we think that’s fucked up, we got your back, bro. Don’t we, Jase?”

“What the hell is that supposed to mean? Fucking a goat?” Jase looks at him like he is crazy. I know Zandor was messing with him and I can’t help but play along.

I pat Jase’s back, “That goes for me, too. Your secret is safe with me, Jase.”

Zandor laughs and so does Abe. “Fuck you, I’m out.”

I walk into the bedroom and see her phone sitting on the floor. A message from Nikki asks if she is all right. I slide under the covers and pull Laney’s head against my chest. I inhale her scent and kiss her head. I take her phone, and for a brief moment, remember the pictures of her with the cowboy. I hold it up and take pictures of her lying on my chest and then thumb through them. My face isn’t in any; just my chest, abs, and her bare back and head, sleep
ing like an angel. I hit her Instagram app and load it up. Caption? ‘Giddy up motherfucker’ and send.

  Fuck you, cowboy.

Now, everything is right with the world and I can rest.

  ***

I open my eyes and look across the room; the clock shines six a.m. I hate my inability to sleep any later. Jet lag sucks.

I want to wake her like I did yesterday morning, but that is too selfish of me, considering I fucked her soul last night.

I am actually in a damn good mood. I consider hitting the hotel gym but will wait to see if she will join me. I imagine watching her tits bounce up and down and nearly walk back in the room. Instead, I answer the phone.

  “Good morning, Jules.”

“I’m scared. I want you to come back this instant.”

  “Are you safe?”

  “For now, but who knows.”

“Jules, I know what you’re capable of.”

“I am tired of being capable.”

  I laugh, “Stop pouting.”

  “When will you be back?”

“As soon as I can get the clowns on board to execute our plan.” I laugh, thinking of last night.

  “You trust them?”

“Yeah, blood is blood to them. This isn’t gonna be a hard sell. They’ll do whatever I ask.”

  “And if they don’t?”

  “Then, fuck them.”

  “But you think they will?”

“Of course I do, or I wouldn’t have come. You know how much I hate being away.”

  “Do you miss me?”

  “Why?”

“Well, if you did, would it be me or my blow jobs?”

“Hmm, well, that would be a hard decision. You, but blow jobs are nice.”

I think I hear Laney and look over my shoulder. No one is there.

“Listen, that talk ends, too. Never should have happened.”

“I had to get your attention somehow.”

“You got it now but no more. Promise?”

  “Cause you can’t resist me.”

“You don’t need to try to manipulate me anymore, either. You get your daughter and self-esteem back. You’re young; you’ll find love. You’ll also be rich, so you don’t have to stay where people know you. He won’t be able to hurt you anymore.”

When I feel him climb back into bed I don’t move. I feel sick to my stomach. When he reaches around and pulls my back against him, I should jump out of bed and run. But I don’t. Pathetic.

When my phone rings and he moves away to answer it, I still lay perfectly still.

“She’s still asleep, Nikki. I don’t want to wake her.”

“I’m awake,” I sit up and reach my hand out for the phone.

I can’t look at him in fear I will start crying. He hands me the phone.

  “Hello?”

  “No. I’m fine.”

He slides behind me and pulls me between his legs. His hand is around my waist as he begins kissing my neck.

“I am, I just don’t feel well.” I answer Nikki’s question and he stops kissing me. His hand is on my forehead checking for a temperature, like my mom used to before she disappeared into her depression.

“No, I still want to go. I just--”

“If you’re sick, you’ll stay here and rest,” he says, cutting me off.

“I’ll be there in half an hour. I’ll take a shower and the--”

  “You can shower here.”

“Okay, Nikki,” my voice cracks and I hang up.

He grips my chin firm, but gently, “Jesus, are you crying? What hurts? Do you need a doctor?”

  “I just need my clothes.”

“I don’t think so, come on tell me where it hurts.”

I shake my head ‘no’ and pull away. I take the sheet with me and wrap myself up while I search for my clothes.

My dress is in a pile and is a wrinkled mess.

He walks out of the closet with a t-shirt and pulls it over my head.

“Now, back in bed.” He points.

My lip quivers and I know I am going to start crying, for real this time. Not just a few tears, a river.

“No, I have to go,” I start to pull the shirt off and he grabs it by the hem.

“If you don’t feel well, and you won’t stay here, at least let me drive you. I can get your car to Abe’s or it stays here. We’ll come get it when you’re feeling better.”

  “I don’t think it’s a good idea.”

“What’s not a good idea?” He is confused.

  “This, us, we--”

“Okay, no. You must be ill, we are fine.”

I shake my head ‘no.’ “We aren’t though, are we?”

He stands and stares at me with a scowl on his face.

“I mean you’ll be leaving soon, right and going back to…” I can’t say her name.

“Italy, Laney. Okay, I’m gonna take you to a clinic, or something, you’re clearly not feeling well.”

“I’m fine! I just don’t see the point in all this, okay? It’s stupid. You live in a different country, Dominic. You live a completely different lifestyle than I do. I don’t want to get hurt. I don’t want to do this anymore!” I am sobbing now, and he tries to grab my hand, “Don’t touch me, okay? Didn’t you get enough last night? Is that all men want, is to get fucked?”

He looks like he has no idea what is going on. Clearly, I do. I am done.

“You know how we feel about each other…”

“Right.” I huff and grab my bag, walking to the door.

“Laney, I forbid you to leave dressed in a t-shirt and nothing else!”

“You are not my keeper, you’re a man that fucked me. Now, it’s done.”

I walk out the door, and call to the couple getting in the elevator to hold the door. Truthfully, I would have let it shut. I must have looked like a lunatic with make-up running down my face and a man’s shirt hanging to my knees.

When I get in, he is storming down the hall in just a pair of jeans. “Hold that elevator,” his voice booms.

  “Please don’t, please,” I whisper.

  ***

After I shower, I turn off my phone because he’s called four times and sends just as many messages. I don’t want the temptation. I will not do this again. I shove it in my pocket, throw my hair up in a bun, and run down the stairs.

Nikki is standing at the counter with a cup of coffee.

“You okay?” she asks, as she takes a sip.

“I’m fine,” I roll my eyes. “Ready to find an apartment. Can we go now?”

  “Talk to me, Laney.”

“Let’s go, we can chat in the car.”

I’m anxious to leave because I think he’s going to show up. I come so close to telling him I heard what he said to…her. I don’t wait for Nikki to say anything more; I grab my bag, stuff my feet in my flip-flops, and walk out the door.

I am sitting in my car when the garage door opens and she backs out in the black Audi SUV.

She pulls up beside me. “Get in, I’m not riding with you in the city.”

When I get in, she asks me to tell her what is going on. I don’t know what to say or not to say. So, I don’t say anything and she presses.

  “It was just too soon.”

“Are you sure? I mean you’ve been acting like you’re crazy about him and he definitely seems into you.”

“It was a rebound. Can we please talk about my new life? The one that starts like, now?”

“We can talk about anything you want, Laney, okay?”

There’s a sadness in her voice; the same sadness that she has in her voice when we talk about my parents.

“I’m tired of the boo-hoo face. I want fun.” I laugh at the pout in my voice.

“How much fun?” Mischief plays in her voice.

“As much as I can get. Why, what are you thinking?”

“I’m thinking of making this weekend the most fun we’ve had in a long, long time. But first we go look at some places Abe found.”

  “Abe found?” That is odd.

“You ever hear of rent control?”

  “Yeah, I think.”

“Abe has an odd obsession with older buildings. More specifically old buildings once used for commercial business.”

  “You don’t say,” I laugh.

“So, we were discussing you last night after you left.”

“Talking behind my back? You bitch,” I laugh.

“He thinks you should consider working for Steel.”

  “Pffttt, fat chance.”

“You could live closer to me.”

And take the chance of running into the beast who has invaded my soul, as if, I thought.

“He won’t be there a lot. If he shows up you take the day o--”

Get out of my head, I think. “No.”

  “You could work with me.”

“I would love to work with you.”

“We always had a good time at the college bookstore.” She laughs.

“I’m really excited about the change, and we’re closer to each other now.”

We spend a lot of time in traffic and look at eight different places, all rent controlled, all on Abe’s list, and all requiring a background check before considering me as a tenant.

While looking, Nikki has shut her phone off. “Everything okay?”

“Everything’s fine,” she grumbles, as she shoves her phone in her purse.

  “Bill collectors?” I laugh.

“Something like that,” she says, and looks around the three story brownstone. “This is the one, Laney. I love it. The kitchen is huge and all updated, and the fireplace works in the bedrooms.”

  “It’s too big.”

“You could get roommates, maybe Mel and Paige will want to move here.”

“Rent control as you told me has an income ceiling. My income is starting out at the top.”

“Adjustable, after that. It’s in a safe neighborhood.” She opens the curtain exposing the window and laughs, “And even safer with the bars on the windows.”

We go to a warehouse where there are loft like apartments. Not rent controlled and not on Abe’s list, but they are my favorite. There are four open flats, only the bath and bedroom have walls. The third and fourth floor units are available, which makes me feel safer than being on the ground floor or in a basement apartment.
