The Thousand Years War: The Trilogy

  Angel heads to the courtyard of what was a mausoleum ahead of him who contained the dead body of a very rich man in New York that Angel had no idea about. Meanwhile a group of the glooba look a likes comes out to attack Angel. Angel is forced to take cover as he has trouble seeing the bad guys due to the dense fog. Angel comes out ever so slowly and picks off a couple of the men but there were many more left.

  Angel finds a flammable canister just like those found in the construction site and he sees a huge group of bad guys. So Angel throws the canister towards the horde and shoots the canister which explodes spreading flames around burning all of the guys killing them.

  Angel says “Talk about a burning sensation, cooked iguana anyone!”

  Angel makes his way inside the mausoleum and begins to explore inside. While inside he is met with the occasional bad guy who he takes of either in melee combat or shoots the tango down. Angel notices the mausoleum is rather old, but more importantly huge in size which meant it was easy to get lost inside. Luckily there was a map of the mausoleum just lying around on the floor. Angel headed in the direction of the exit.

  Angel is met by more of the masked men, he finds another canister and uses it to burn the masked men.

  Angel says “Boy I’m never going to see reptiles the same ever again, I’ll be having nightmares of reptiles rising out of the dead for months!”

  Eventually Angel is able to find the exit of the mausoleum and finds out the person that was buried was the great grandfather of Mayor Williams known as Herman Williams. He was also a former politician although his reputation was much better than of his grandson Mayor Williams. Angel sees a henchman with his back turn and chokes the man to death until the man spills blood out of his mouth.

  “That how all of you should die!” After seeing the man bleed to death out of his mouth with his mouth remaining open, Angel is content watching the man bleed.

  Angel escapes the mausoleum and sees the back of the cemetery which reminds Angel of the many members of his family that have been buried along with the lavender flowers that his mother loved. The roses his grandmother loved and the ivies his grandfather loved. Despite the foggy dark scene these flowers shined light through the darkness.

  Angel says in his mind, “Despite the fact this is the virtual world the feelings, memories of my dead loved ones including my grandfather and my second uncle are still as real as they can be. If I can get through the back gate I’ll be scout free.”

  All of a sudden a truck backs in to the gate breaking the gate and a man with the mask of a frog opens the back of the truck shooting a sentry gun towards Angel.

  “Oh boy I was right. This can get even weirder a frog shooting a sentry gun. I am officially freaked the hell out! Hmm some canisters, looks like I gotta blow this thing up or should I say cook this frog if I want to have even a chance to crack this case!”

  Angel quickly runs for cover behind a tall tombstone as the masked man shoots the sentry gun at Angel. Angel runs towards the canisters and throws a couple of them by the truck. Angel realizes he’s gonna need more than just two canisters to take out the boxtruck. The man starts to shoot again and while Angel is able to run back to cover he is sideswiped by a bullet that hits him in the arm. Angel grabs his arm seeing the arm begin to bleed Angel rips his shirt and ties it around his injury to cut the bleeding although the pain was still stinging. However Angel had no time to worry about the pain he had to get out of the cemetery. Angel grabs some more canisters and despite his right arm which was his strong arm being injured he still got the canisters to the truck.

  Before Angel could get more canisters to take the truck out some more of the glooba look a likes come to get a piece of Angel. Angel uses another canister to kill off the other baddies and barely gets back in time to dodge the sentry gun fire. The pain in Angel’s arm was starting to get worse and Angel realized the longer he stood in the cemetery the better the chance he would end up killed. Angel gathers whatever energy he still has he grabs two more canisters, throws them to the truck, shoots the canisters and the truck is destroyed.

  “Well that takes care of frog face there, now to get the hell out of here. Hopefully Helga or Ana pick up their phone to help me out. Well Helga probably not as she is in panic mode or she may had been capture by the enemy. At least I hope she hasn’t been caught. However I don’t have time to fool around, better find a phone and fast!”

  Meanwhile Carlos (Angel’s uncle) says angrily, “Freeze Angel I’m not playing around you better stop or I’ll shoot!” Angel runs towards the forest and is able to lose Carlos.

  “God damn it! That son of a bitch got away!” Carlos he walks back into the cemetery disgusted. What was Carlos doing in the cemetery anyway.

  Angel runs until he gets back to the city limits and finds a payphone still in working order and decides to call Ana.

  Ana responds, “Angel is that you?”

  “Yeah it’s me. You could have told me I was going to be ambushed by Sal’s men back there!” Angel while punching the payphone booth.

  “I don’t know what you are talking about most of Sal’s men are preparing for Jane Parker’s rally tomorrow. If someone was trying to kill you it wasn’t them. You may have someone with a vendetta against you who isn’t Sal or Boris.”

  “Wait Sal’s men are going to be at the rally tomorrow?”

  “Yeah well a stool pigeon says that a hit has been placed on Parker and some serious money is being given out to the one or ones responsible for whacking her. You can expect every freelancer assassin with a BB gun trying to collect.”

  “Things are starting to get very suspicious here, Jane Parker is in serious danger I can’t let her get killed. Listen meet me at the rally tomorrow you hear me? By the way can I crash you place tonight, I need to heal an injury I got but I’ll be gone by morning.”

  “No problem my love, I’ll see you here soon my address is 478 91st Ave Ozone Park NY. I’ll see you soon you big hunk!” Ana was more than happy to take Angel in for the night.

  Angel says in his head, “Well at least Ana was on my side, I would crash her place for the night get healed and see how I’m going to foil this assassination plot. I gotta funny feeling Williams has a hand in this. Another thing bothering me was, why Carlos is so determined to get me and what was he doing in the cemetery at this time bugged me.”

  Angel is able to escape the cemetery in one piece although he got a minor wound on his right arm. Angel is chased by Captain Carlos, but loses him easily. He’s unable to get in contact with Helga for obvious reasons, but is able to contact Ana. Ana indicates to Angel that the men that were after him were not Sal’s men or Boris’s men for that matter. Which indicates that there maybe a third party involved. Angel gets permission to crash Ana’s place to recover from his wounds. An open hit was been put on Jane Parker who is Mayor Williams opponent for the mayoral race. Angel needed to make sure Jane remained alive, despite the fact that even if he is able to reverse time with the anti-matter ball. That’s because Jane Parker may have more answers and she maybe the only one who can shed light to the situation for what it really is. Even if turns out to be a clone of the real Jane who is still on Earth. In short Jane Parker may end up being Angel’s biggest ally and in the end his only real ally. The question that continues to bother Angel so much is why Carlos is so determined to capture him? It was almost like Carlos wanted him out of the picture. Could it be he is just doing his job or does he have a secret to hide from Angel? Only time will tell!

  Chapter 9

  The Rally

  Angel crashes Ana’s place for the night and Ana is able to heal Angel’s arm at least to a certain degree that the pain is not as bad as before. Nothing significant happens between the two in fact when Ana goes to bed Angel leaves and heads for a hotel to stay for the night. The only thing he grabs is a black t-shirt which just happens to fit him perfectly. You’re probably wondering why Angel did not try to make a move towards Ana who was very attractive. That’s because Angel
’s feelings were still with his wife Maria and he was convinced if he could prove his innocence Maria would take him back. In reality after reversing time it will be like nothing happened so Maria will probably not even remember. It is November 3, 2015 only a few days till Election Day and Jane Parker’s rally was about to begin at the Javits Center in NYC. It was dusk and the sunset was beautiful. Not a single could was in the sky, while the sky was calm, on the surface it was about to get very noisy. The reporter Reggie Clark begins the news coverage of the rally until Angel steals the news chopper that was behind Reggie. Angel orders the pilot to fly around the convention center.

  “Hey wait a minute where is my chopper going, somebody just stole my chopper! I’m on the freaking air damn it!” Clark freaks out watching his chopper being stolen.

  Angel heads to the pilot and points a gun towards his head saying, “Hey man I don’t want to hurt you, but I need you to fly me around the center.”

  “No…No problem sir I got you!” The pilot says nervously.

  Angel grabs an M-60 machine gun, orders the pilot around until he sees Ana standing on the mezzanine level.

  Ana steals a radio and tries to call Angel. Ana is able to get Angel and asks Angel where he is.

  Angel answers, “I’m in the news chopper just above you!”

  “Oh my sexy eye in the sky.” Ana shows off her butt towards Angel trying to grab his attention.

  Then Ana blows a kiss to Angel. However a hitman is prepared to ambush Ana until Angel spots him and orders Ana to run out of her location. Angel shots the hitman down and Ana enters the convection center where more hitmen are after her. Angel orders the pilot to follow her while he shoots the hitmen. Angel has no idea what faction the hitmen are working with, but he could care less the mission was to make sure Ana survives until Jane could be found. As Ana continues down the hallway Angel takes out the hitmen that are shooting at Ana until all of them are killed.

  Ana goes up the next level and she finds a hitman planting a bomb. Ana point her gun at the hitman and the hitman raises his hands in shock.

  “Hey Angel I found this guy planting a bomb on the mezzanine here.”

  “Ana asks the hitman, how many bombs are there?”

  The hitman responds scared, “I don’t know I was just told to put this bomb here…” Ana shoots the hitman killing him then says “I can scratch that one of my list!”

  Angel says in disgust and disbelief, “Oh Ana I can’t believe you did that!”

  “Well he wasn’t going to say anything anyway, besides I think I know what they are trying to do. These guys are trying to blow up this joint up with Jane inside. Ok handsome guide me through disarming the bomb.”

  “Ok Ana guide the detonator pin out of the bomb but don’t let it hit the circuit board!”

  “What will happen if I do?”

  “Is that a serious question? You’ll be catapulting out of the building four blocks to your death!” Angel trying to get Ana’s focus on the mission at hand.

  Ana guides the detonator pin through the circuit board being careful not to hit the green circuit board. Ana accidently guides the pin to the board but the pin only skids it so the bomb doesn’t explode. Ana only has 30 seconds to disarm the bomb but the time is extended every time she gets the pin through the twin capacitors. Ana is carefully able to disarm the bomb and then she goes up to the next level.

  Angel has the pilot continue to follow Ana and she is in the snack bar area filled with hot dog carts, popcorn carts and the works. More hitmen approach Ana and while Ana is able to kill some of them, but she calls for Angel for help. In a matter of a few seconds Angel comes to Ana’s rescue. Angel is able to take out all of the hitmen that were after Ana. Angel still sees no sign of Jane Parker anywhere and is in search of more bombs that have been planted. Ana finds a bomb at the end of the hallway and begins to disarm it. Unlike last time however, hitmen come down the stairs in an attempt to stop Ana from disarming the bomb.

  Ana says in panic, “Get these guys off me!” Angel picks off the men who try to kill off Ana. Angel holds off the enemy as best as he could until Ana is able to disarm the bomb.

  “Ana calm down you can’t get nervous or you’ll screw up and go boom!”

  “Thanks for the encouragement! Just do your job!” Ana says in a sarcastic tone.

  Ana is eventually able to disarm the bomb with 10 seconds to spare. Ana goes up to the upper most level in the building and finds a bomb right by the stairs. Once again Angel holds off the enemy until Ana is able to disarm the bomb. Once Ana disarms the bomb she continues down the hall. More hitmen come towards Ana but Angel takes them down easily. Ana searches for Jane Parker, but she is nowhere to be seen in the building. All of a sudden a news flash comes on the television to Ana’s right indicating that Jane was a couple of blocks away. Also that she has been order to turn around as there was a shootout taking place at the Javits Center.

  Angel says, “Whew that’s good looks like we saved Jane’s ass after all. Now go to the roof I’ll come get you!”

  “No problem Angel sweetheart I’m on my way.”

  Ana runs up the stairs leading to the roof in excitement because on the inside she had a crush on Angel and couldn’t wait to get next to him. She gets to the roof awaiting Angel. Ana raises her hands so Angel can go get her. Angel directs the pilot to Ana’s direction as Angel prepares to drop the ladder to pick her up. However before Angel could drop the ladder he sees a man with an eye patch with a blade ready to kill Ana. Angel tries to scream to warn Ana but it was too late the man kills Ana. Angel has met Patch the one who murdered his brother.

  Angel screams “No Ana!!! That son of a bitch he’s heading to his limo, pilot follow that limo pronto!”

  The pilot says, “Ok boss will do just take it easy.” Ana lies there with her dead body bleeding lying alone. There goes one ally of Angel. Angel goes after Patch.

  The same man who killed Angel’s brother. Patch kills Ana and makes a run for it towards his limo. Angel is upset as he has just lost another ally. His focus must shift on taking out Patch and getting some answers from him. Angel didn’t necessary want to kill Patch as he may have valuable information on what is going on.

  Angel has the pilot follow Patch as Angel follows Patch he is met with resistance with some of Boris’s henchmen. Angel takes them down even damaging some cars, but Angel could care less about the cars. The chase continues until Angel finds the parking lot and sees Patch get inside of his limo. Angel tries to take the tires out from the car but his shots are blocked by the many henchmen that were attacking him. Patch is able to get away along with another limo who was escorting him, Angel gives chase to Patch.

  Angel screams to Patch, “You’re not getting away that easily Patch.”

  The pilot keeps up with Patch’s limo and the other limo. A henchman from the other limo begins to shoot missiles towards Angel. Angel shoots the missiles before they could strike him. Angel shoot’s the tires of the second limo which slows it down to the point where the car completely stops leaving Patch’s limo by itself.

  Patch then comes out of his limo and begins to shoot missiles towards Angel. Unlike the other limo Patch’s limo turns out to be difficult because the limo is built with a better material and the limo is driving side to side a lot preventing Angel from getting a good shot on the tires of the limo. Angel is able to hit one tire, but the car keeps on moving despite one of the tires being taking out. The limo kept moving despite that it was scraping the road. Patch continued to shoot missiles at Angel and Angel kept shooting the missiles down.

  Angel says, “Damn I gotta take this car out now before this bastard gets away!”

  Angel shoots two more tires but the car continues to move and doesn’t seem to be slowing down for nothing. Angel tells the pilot to turn the helicopter to face the right side of the car so Angel could take out the last tire. Angel aims and shoots the last tire. Unlike the other car Patch’s limo flips out of control and lands upside down. Angel has th
e pilot land the helicopter on the highway and to his disappointment he sees that Patch is dead and non-responsive. Angel tries to get Patch back to health, but Patch was bleeding from his head and the injury turned out to be fatal.

  Angel says in his head in disappointment, “Damn this is not the way it was supposed to end. It was supposed to be a brutal interrogation where I got the low down on what was happening. However Patch was not going to talk to me at all and I lost a good ally at the same time. I was running out of leads my last lead would be Jane Parker herself. Maybe she has an idea on what is truly going on, but I had to make sure she stood alive.”

  Angel sees Ana get killed by Patch the man who is rumored to have killed his brother Robert. After seeing Ana get killed by Patch Angel gets pissed off and is determined to capture Patch in order to look for answers. Angel gives chase to Patch on the news chopper. Patch was not alone however he had another limo escorting him. The other limo begins to shoot rockets at Angel and Angel is able to shoot the rockets down. Angel shoots the tires of the second limo causing it to stop, leaving only Patch left to deal with. Taking Patch out was a much tougher task. His limo was made of a much better material. To add to the problem the driver who was driving Patch was driving in a matter that Angel could not get a good shot at the tires of Patch’s limo. Eventually Patch does go down, his limo flips over leaving it upside down. Angel lands on solid ground hoping to get into an interrogation with Patch looking for answers. Instead what Angel gets is a look of Patch’s dead body cover in blood after receiving a fatal blow on his head after his limo flips over. Despite killing the person who killed his brother, Angel is not satisfied for three reasons. The first is because Angel killed Patch in the virtual world which meant after reversing time chances were Patch was going to return to the corporal world. The second reason is because he wanted Patch alive because he may have had valuable information about what was going on. The final reason is self-explanatory Angel will never get to see his brother ever again. It was clear that Angel was running out of leads in this case where he is the scapegoat. His last resort would be to find Jane Parker alive and make sure she is not killed as she may be the last lead Angel has.
