Willow's Wish

“Well, maybe there is, but I read your list.”

She feigned extra annoyance, “How? I never showed it to you.”

“I creeped through your stuff the night you went to prom with that douche.”

Now she was truly ticked, “How dare you? That was an invasion of my privacy, jerk.”

He shrugged, “I didn’t think it was so bad since some wishes included me. Sorry.”

Willow’s heart softened. She reached out her fingers to graze her husband’s cheek. His palm snaked across to pat her belly where their newest little one resided for the next six months. She leaned in to kiss his lips warm from the long day in the sun.

She broke the kiss but didn’t pull away, “Oh, yeah, Mr. Ego, that’s where you’re wrong for once.”

He nipped her bottom lip playfully, “I beg to differ. I’m never wrong about the important stuff.”

Willow glared at him, but she was only kidding. While she considered her comeback, Dutch thought about the past, present and future. She had an unusual start in life and many events along the way had been difficult and painful, but he was proud to be with her through the good and the bad times. She was the love of his life, and they were close to the spot they had their first long conversation about what they each dreamed for the future. It felt like they’d come full circle, but they were also just beginning.

He was confident, “Oh, come on, some of your list was for sure about me.”

Wills snuggled against him and confessed she was finally brave enough to tell him the whole truth, “No, Dutch. The entire wish list was about you.”

The love of reading good stories brought me full circle and encouraged me to give it a go a few years back. I would like to thank all the authors that have inspired me.

I have an awesome group of ladies that pre-read whatever I toss at them whether it’s utter garbage or polished chapters. Girl kisses and a toast with the good wine glass to Virna, Alix and Hala for sticking with me for the long haul. They keep pushing me to the finish line each and every time.

Hug and kisses to my husband and kids for putting up with me. I used to be supermom. Now I’m one more second, let me finish this paragraph before I pour the milk. Hopefully, they still think I’m okay because I couldn’t follow my dreams without their support. Love each one of you oodles.

The biggest thanks of all goes to the people that give me their time and take a journey with me in a story. I love my readers so much! I can’t put it into words. Here is where I get speechless. I know what it means to take a gamble and purchase a book from a new author. The stars I receive increase my sparkle. If I wrote something that touched you, please share, so the rest of the world might know.

She has coined herself a hybrid author because she is currently writing touching romances sprinkled with drama and angst but looks forward into branching out with family dynamic tales, possible thrillers and young adult stories. She enjoys a simple life in Texas with her husband and a brood of kiddos. TC adores her dogs, cats, beardies and a turtle named Tiny. When she isn’t writing, she is taking care of the family, cooking good food, destressing at the gym, walking in the fresh air to hash out plot bunnies or refreshing her IG feed. Her own life story is unique and tragic with a happy ending in the works. Her writing reflects the experiences she’s endured. The muse speaks to her almost night and day so a book or two is always in the works.
