“Would you like some wine or something, Bianca?” Landry asked her.
“Are you planning on touching me later?” she asked, looking him in the eye and keeping a straight face.
“Oh yes, lots,” replied Landry, looking down at his menu.
Bianca turned a beaming smile on the waiter. “Club soda with lime, please.”
The waiter tried to be blasé. “And for you, Sir?”
Landry looked at Bianca. “What about you? Are you planning on…you know…later?”
Bianca slipped her foot out of her sandal and ran it up his leg. “What do you mean ‘later’?”
Landry jumped and then looked up at the waiter. “Club soda, please…with two limes.”
The waiter nodded seriously, but the corners of his mouth twitched.
“I am so bad,” said Bianca after the waiter walked away, “but I just don’t do well with ‘pompous’.”
Landry reached for her hand. “Well I think you do well with everything. You just don’t seem to know that you do.”
Say nothing, yelled her brain. Just smile. Accept it for the incredibly wonderful compliment that it is, and whatever you do, say nothing!
Bianca smiled and squeezed his hand. Her brain heaved a sigh of relief.
The waiter reappeared. “Club soda with lime for the lady,” he intoned, setting the tall glass before Bianca. “And with two limes for the very lucky gentleman.” They all smiled.
“Take your time with the menus,” he told them, and then gave them the specials for the day.
They looked over the menus, discussing choices. Did they want an appetizer?
“We keep missing mealtimes. Maybe we should stock up when we can,” said Bianca.
“Yes,” said Landry, “Breakfast is a long way away, and we will be wearing off a lot of calories before then.”
They looked at each other with smoldering eyes. They eyed the table and the other patrons. They looked back at each other and smiled. Well, maybe not here, but later, they were definitely going to burn down the night.
They settled on a spinach-artichoke dip for an appetizer, and they both chose grilled fish for a main course – Bianca tilapia, and Landry snapper. They then both declined salad with amused smiles, which made the waiter wonder what salad had to do with sex.
The appetizer was delicious. It was hot, served in a little ceramic crock set on a platter and surrounded by various types of crackers and flatbreads. There were even beautiful heart-shaped crackers.
When Bianca remarked on them, Landry told her about the Purple Heart logo of his Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. They talked about that for awhile, and when Landry wasn’t looking, Bianca palmed one of the crackers and slipped it into her purse. She had no idea why.
The main course was outstanding. The fish was perfectly cooked and was surrounded by a staggering number of different vegetables, all cooked to al dente perfection. A barley risotto mixture provided the starch component.
They talked as they ate, first about the food, then about each other. They even shared little forkfuls of their fish with each other in a gesture so intimate that the seniors at the next table over smiled at each other and started holding hands, remembering their own passionate beginnings so long ago.
“Tomorrow, I am definitely swimming in the ocean,” said Bianca, looking out the window. She looked over at Landry. “Definitely!”
“Okay,” said Landry. “That’s number two then on tomorrow’s to-do list. Swim in the ocean.” He gave her a sexy smile, leaving no doubt about what number one was. “Do we have a number three?”
“Well, there’s that whole ‘figuring out the rest of my life’ thing. You remember, the whole purpose of my vacation. I really should get around to that before I leave.”
“Oh, you had that figured out before you even got here,” said Landry.
“What?” said Bianca.
“Look at the lists you made,” explained Landry. “You can tell from the titles. You didn’t say ‘store’ and ‘school’. Or ‘buyer’ and ‘teacher’. You said ‘shoes’ and ‘kids’. Shoes and kids. You had already decided when you wrote that down. Plus, I think you’ll be a wonderful teacher.”
Bianca was flabbergasted. Close your mouth, said her brain, you’re gaping.
“But…” she said to Landry, who leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms, smiling.
“But…” she said again. “I…there were…it’s not…I don’t…” Finally, she stopped. “You’re right,” she said. “You’re right. I’m going to be a teacher. You are so smart. Remind me to show you my appreciation later.”
“Then, that can be number three on the list,” said Landry, “and in the afternoon, how would you like to go on a boat tour and maybe see some wild dolphins?”
“That would be wonderful,” said Bianca, “I would love that.”
“Okay, so swim in the ocean and go on a boat, interspersed with lots of number ones.”
They smiled at each other. It all sounded like a perfect plan.
“Would you care for dessert?” asked the waiter.
Just each other, thanks, thought Bianca, but she had the good sense to reply, “No, thank you.” It didn’t matter that she hadn’t said it out loud, it was written all over her face.
“Just the check, please,” said Landry.
“I’ll hurry,” said the waiter with a smile.
Bianca blushed and looked down demurely. When she looked up at Landry, she saw that he was grinning broadly.
“We don’t do too well at hiding our need for each other, do we?” he said, turning her hand over and stroking her palm.
Bianca bit her lip to keep from moaning. “Well, what do you expect when you do stuff like that?”
She withdrew her hand from his and put it in her lap. Then she looked him straight in the eye and slowly ran her tongue over the edge of her lips. Landry blinked twice, three times, and then shook his head at her, grinning.
Landry signed the receipt and collected his credit card. He ushered Bianca out the door, nodding and thanking the waiter, who said “Good night. Drive safely.” As Landry passed through the door, he thought he heard the man add, “You’re a lucky man” but he wasn’t sure.
They drove back in silence and anticipation. They walked from the parking lot hand-in-hand. “I’ll stop in the office to say goodnight to Rose and let her know I’m back,” said Landry. “You go get your toothbrush. I’ll pick you up on the way by.” He kissed Bianca gently on the lips.
“Okay, toothbrush it is. What about pajamas?” she asked with wide-eyed innocence.
“No,” replied Landry, kissing her again. “You won’t need those.”
Bianca hurried to her room and quickly washed the makeup off her face. There was nothing romantic about mascara streaks on a pillowcase. She brushed her teeth and threw her toothbrush into her toiletry bag. Then she fished her key out of her purse and threw that in too. All set!
Bianca opened the door to Landry’s knock. He took her hand and led her up to his place, where they fulfilled every one of the waiter’s expectations and made sweet, sweet love to each other well into the night.
Chapter 11
Bianca shifted in her sleep. She felt Landry get up and go to the bathroom. She creaked one eye open and looked at the clock. 4:30.
Bianca lay facing away from him, half on her stomach with one knee drawn up. She closed her eyes and was drifting off when she felt Landry get back into bed. He leaned over and kissed her shoulder.
“Mmm…” she said.
“Are you asleep?” murmured Landry in her ear, kissing her neck.
“Uh, uh…” said Bianca and she started to turn over.
“Stay there,” whispered Landry, “Don’t move.”
He began making love to her back, using his hands and his mouth. He stroked her and licked her and nibbled her. Bianca tried a couple of times to turn to him, but Landry wouldn’t let her.
“Nope
,” he said, holding her down and nibbling her earlobe.
“But…” began Bianca, and then she stopped with a moan as Landry bit down gently on the shoulder.
He tortured her for a long time, hitting every nerve ending. Then he moved his mouth to the bottom of her spine and made love to each individual vertebra all the way up to her neck.
Bianca clenched the sheet tightly in her hands. She buried her face in her pillow, hoping to muffle the sound of the numerous moans she was emitting. Please don’t let me howl, she prayed, as Landry ran his tongue over her shoulder blade and nibbled it with his teeth.
Bianca could feel Landry’s arousal. He was as turned on by this as she was. His erection brushed against her as he moved up and down her back. Finally, she felt him lift her knee and slide a pillow under it. She then heard him tear open the condom, and the thought of what was to come pushed her right to the brink.
When Landry entered her, pushing himself deep into her from behind, Bianca sailed over the edge. The orgasm that ripped through her was so powerful that Landry stopped moving. Instead he lay perfectly still, deep inside her, holding her while she trembled and shook and gasped.
When the spasms subsided, he slowly withdrew himself most of the way and then drove himself into her again. Bianca raised her hips to meet him and dug her knees into the bed as hard as she could for stability. She had never felt this full of a man.
Landry’s pace quickened, and his urgency increased. He pounded into her with deep, powerful strokes that were just this side of painful to her.
Bianca came again, but she was so far gone this time that she didn’t even try to be silent. Only one long, ragged cry expressed her pleasure as her orgasm radiated out to all parts of her.
Landry didn’t stop this time. He was too far gone himself, and Bianca didn’t have to worry about being embarrassed. He couldn’t hear her over the sound of his heart pounding as he thrust himself deep inside her and erupted. He continued pumping, and Bianca pushed her hips back at him, clenching her walls around him, trying to hold him forever.
Finally, he became still and collapsed around her. They lay together, each saying nothing, instead trying to catch their breath. It took a long, long time, but Bianca didn’t care. Landry was positioned in such a way that his weight wasn’t directly on her and time could freeze as far as she was concerned.
Eventually, Landry moved, slipping out of Bianca and heading back to the bathroom. When he came back, Bianca turned over. They gave each other tender, gentle kisses, and then she told him to turn over and go to sleep the way he liked. Once he did, she snuggled her back up against his and drifted off.
It was the sound of the shower that woke her hours later. Actually, it was the sound of the shower turning off. She opened her eyes and stretched. The clock said 7:00. Landry came into the room with a towel around his waist.
“Get back into this bed.” Bianca enunciated each word carefully.
“Good morning,” murmured Landry, smiling slyly.
“Get back into this bed,” said Bianca again.
“Um, well, see…I had two condoms left and I thought, you know, one for last night and one for this morning…but then…” Landry shrugged.
Bianca slid out of the bed and glided up to him. She kissed him on the neck and licked the end of his collarbone. She dragged her fingernail from his neck down to his navel.
“Then isn’t it lucky that I brought some with me?” she breathed into his ear, moving her hand down over the towel. “Now get back into that bed.”
She moved past him into the bathroom. She used the toilet and brushed her teeth. She fished the condom out of her toiletry bag and tossed it into the air. Yessir, be prepared.
Bianca went back into the bedroom, relieved to find that Landry had obeyed her and was in the bed, the sheet pulled up to his waist, his arms up behind his head. She dropped the condom on the nightstand and crawled in beside him. He reached for her.
“Uh, uh,” said Bianca, “my turn.”
She moved her mouth to his chest, licking his nipple and teasing it with her teeth while her hand moved downward. Landry leaned his head back and clasped his hands behind his head. He knew she wanted to do this, and as much as he wanted to touch her, he knew he had to let her do what she wanted to do.
And Bianca wanted to do it all. She used her mouth and her hands, and she moved up and down his body. She licked and sucked and stroked and fondled, moving here and there, from his neck to his groin, to his stomach, to his arms.
Eventually, Landry gave himself up to it and let Bianca torture him. And torture him, she did, bringing him to the edge numerous times and then scaling back the intensity, letting him regain his breath and his equilibrium and then descending again to stretch his nerve endings to the breaking point.
Finally, he begged her. “Bianca…”
She looked up at his face and nodded. She grabbed the condom off the nightstand and tore it open. She unrolled it down him so slowly that maintaining control was actually painful for him. He closed his eyes and gripped the sheet in his hands. He felt her kneel astride him, and then her hot, liquid center moved down over him. He moaned and his mouth went slack.
Bianca waited there until he opened his eyes, and then she slowly shook her head, defying him, challenging him to stay with her. She moved up and down him; she swiveled her hips; she raked her fingernails down his chest and then up his thighs, all the while slowly shaking her head.
Landry had more stamina than she had ever seen in a man, but he was losing it fast. Beads of sweat stood out on his forehead. His hands clawed at the sheet. He could see the passion overtaking her and prayed he could hold out for her.
Finally, she stopped shaking her head and slowly nodded at him. He grabbed her hips in his hands and held her as he thrust upward, once, twice, and that was enough. He was gone, his seed spilling from his body, spasms of joy wracking his frame.
Bianca squeezed herself around him until the spasms stopped. She quivered all over from her own outburst of passion, but this one was for him. Finally, she raised herself off him. They lay beside each other for several minutes until their breathing went from ragged panting to normal rhythm.
Landry couldn’t move, but he knew he must. He stumbled to the bathroom and returned seconds later, falling back onto the bed. They lay on their back. He took Bianca’s hand and kissed the palm. They fell asleep again, side by side, holding hands.
An hour later, Bianca woke up again. Landry was still asleep, and God was he ever beautiful.
Slowly, Bianca slipped from the bed and pulled her dress over her head. She gathered her toiletry bag and her shoes, then she moved quietly to the door and out, fishing her key out of the bag and making her way down the stairs.
Bianca knew there’d be seniors on the way to breakfast, but she hoped to avoid most of them. Luckily she made it to her room, not unnoticed, she knew, but at least ungreeted.
In the bathroom, Bianca climbed into the shower and let the water pour down on her. She didn’t cry this time, but she did relive the previous evening in her mind, and especially the early morning, until her knees got so weak she thought she might fall.
Finding her balance, Bianca turned off the water and got out. She dried herself off and put on her bathing suit. Then she pulled on a long t-shirt over top and figured she was appropriately dressed for breakfast.
“Morning, Bianca,” said Mrs. Dandridge as Bianca came out into the breakfast area carrying her tray. She looked pointedly behind Bianca and raised an eyebrow in surprise that there was no one there.
“Good morning, Mrs. Dandridge,” said Bianca with a smile.
She made her way down to the same table she had sat at on Tuesday. My God, that seemed like eons ago. So much had happened in just two days.
And you still have one to go, said her brain. So make the most of it.
Bianca ate her breakfast, thinking of Landry, wondering how long he’d sleep, wondering if she’d kil
led him. He’s pretty much ruined sex for me for the rest of my life, she mused. She couldn’t imagine it being that good again with anyone else.
Bianca tidied her breakfast things and dumped the garbage. She returned to her room and got her towel and her book. The pages were still a bit damp, but it was readable. She checked her beach bag to make sure there was no stray underwear hanging about. Then she rubbed sunblock into her golden brown skin, smiling to herself as she remembered Landry’s touch.
Bianca could just imagine the two of them putting sunscreen on each other on a public beach. They’d be arrested, for sure.
