Taylor inhaled deeply. And then she let out a long, slow breath. Then, almost without warning, the floodgates began to open yet again wide as tears poured down her cheeks.

  Fucking great.

She didn’t want him to see her like this, again, but there wasn’t any other choice.

He squeezed her body even tighter, making her feel utterly safe and sound in his arms.

But still, she felt the shame hit hard; shame for her tears and the guilt that plagued her body over the predicament the two of them found themselves in.

Colton wiped the puddle of tears that formed beneath her eyes. ”Taylor, I need to tell you something.”

As she waited for Colton to say more, the billionaire adjusted his posture and stood an inch or two taller as he towered over her in the parking garage. And then he said something that Taylor swore nobody would ever say to her for as long as she would live.

  ”I love you.”

The words echoed around her ears but the rest of her senses quit on her altogether as they went utterly numb.

He did not just say that, he did not just say that, he did not just say that… She kept repeating to herself. She felt suddenly terrified and desperate as she looked around the parking garage.

But the only thing she saw was cold, grey concrete above her and around her.

”Hey,” he said as he adjusted her chin with his hand so that she had nowhere to look but directly at him. “I said that I love you.”

  My. God.

One drop at a time, courage began to replace the fear that filled her veins. The proof was in the uncontrollable smile that somehow crept across her face.

And in that moment, she made a decision. She had let her own dark and twisted thoughts ruin so much for so long, but she wasn’t going to let herself ruin this moment. ”You love me?”

”I’ve been a fucking mess being apart from you for however long it’s been. And every single thing that happened, I would do it again and again. And if I’m being totally honest with you, I can’t guarantee that life is going to be all hunky dory as far as our the writing shit goes. York is evil, plain and simple.”

Colton looked around the garage almost as if to make sure he wasn’t being watched by anyone. He continued, ”I have no fucking clue what the future will bring, I only know that I want you in it.”

Taylor felt a pit form in the depths of her stomach. She was terrified about what the future would bring– not just with her career or her life overall, but doubly more so with Colton himself.

Before she could even take another breath, she had to answer the single most important question she kept asking herself: Should she let him into her heart?

But before she could find the answer to her own private question, Colton himself had run out of patience and suddenly he crashed his soft, warm lips into hers. The two of them hesitated at first, holding still as they savored the sensations of each other’s lips. Then he began to let loose as he slipped his tongue into her mouth. She felt weak in her knees, and she braced herself by putting her hands on the side of her outdated car for support. He moaned and kissed her harder than he had yet to kiss her before.

And finally, it hit her… As much as she was enjoying this kiss, she knew she needed to tell him something.

Taylor pulled her soft lips off of his and looked directly into his warm gaze. "I love you too,” she said simply.

  Colton smiled, "Are you sure?”

Taylor rubbed the skin on her forehead and donned a confused expression.

”Are you sure you can love a man like me?” he asked.

She scoffed at the suggestion that somehow he was not good enough for her. “A man like you? The sexiest, most fascinating man I’ve ever met in my entire life?”

”Well, if you’re going to put it that way then I suppose I see your point,” he said sarcastically. But seriously, if we’re going to do this, we’re going to do it all the way.”

She wasn’t quite sure what he meant, and the thought of going all the way with anyone, let alone this man, was enough to cause her brain to seize. But she was determined to make something out of her life; she wasn’t going to live in the shadows of her past anymore, even if it meant having to face her biggest fear– losing someone she truly loved.

”I’m not sure I know what you mean, but I know that I meant what I said,” she said.

The billionaire author let his eyes fall to her feet and then he slowly scanned the entire length of her body. "You’re everything I’ve been searching for my entire life, Taylor Ward. And I will never let anybody harm you for as long as I am alive. And I can’t say I know exactly how things are going to pan out but I can say this…” And without hesitating for even a single moment he landed a kiss on her lips that made her feel like she was the most important woman on this planet.

Taylor’s breathing became heavy as she clawed at the back of his neck. "You promise you’ll never leave me again?” she asked.

Colton looked deeply into her eyes and said, “Promise is a massive understatement.”

She recognized that look in his eyes- that lusting, hungry look. The billionaire reached around her back and slid his hands down the back of her ass. She moaned as he thrusted his hips into hers. She pushed her hands into his thick, broad chest and looked around, studying the parking garage with suspicion.

  ”Here?” she asked.

Colton practically growled as he spoke, "I don’t give a shit where we are. I don’t care if the whole world's watching. I only care about you.”

Taylor bit down hard on her lower lip and felt herself moisten between her legs. ”Then I guess this isn’t up for debate?”

Colton laughed at the suggestion. “I don’t think so, Taylor. Not this time my love.” Then he pinned her shoulders up against her own car. Her breasts were now jutting out towards him, nearly breaking the buttons on her blouse. But he didn’t have time to wait for the buttons to break on their own–the billionaire ripped the top two buttons apart with his hands and sent a flurry of kisses down her neck and across the tops of her breasts.

Taylor moaned loudly; she no longer cared that she was in the middle of a public parking garage. She reached down to feel his bulging manhood through his pants. Colton was already rock hard, letting her know exactly what she was in store for.

The billionaire ran his fingers down her breasts and squeezed both nipples that tried to make their way through her bra, forcing her to let out another loud moan. His breathing grew quicker and more erratic as he pressed his hardness into her sweet spot. “Give me your keys,” he said.

”Huh?” she muttered with a befuddled expression on her face.

Colton continued to leave a trail of kisses along the soft skin of her neck, stopping only to nibble teasingly at her jawline. “Give me your fucking keys.”

She frantically searched for her keys as the billionaire traced her nipple with his finger through her silky bra. ”I think I found them,” she said, her hand shaking as she held out her own car keys for him.

”Good girl,” he rasped. Then he seized the keys from her possession and unlocked her car door. The billionaire folded her seat down as far as it would go. “Get in.”

Taylor looked around one last time, fooling herself as though she was actually going to put a stop to this matter.

Hell no. He knew she was fooling herself, and she knew it too. There wasn’t a snowball’s chance in hell that she was going to stop him from doing what he wanted to do to her right now. She slid her body into the car and laid on her back in the fully reclined seat. Colton peeled her pants down and off her legs and then he ran his hands up and along the smooth skin of her thighs, stopping as his thumb pressed into her soaking wet pussy. The billionaire grinned the moment he noticed she was already this moist.

”I can see this is working for you,” he said.

  ”More than you’ll ever know.”

Taylor reached for the button on his jeans as quickly as she possibly
could. She unzipped his pants and nearly gasped at his massive hardness that lay beneath the smooth silky fabric of his boxer briefs. He was already fully erect, and she wanted him to fill her up completely. No questions asked.

Colton reached behind himself and put the key in the ignition to turn on her car radio. A slow, rhythmic Adele song filled the airwaves around them both as Taylor spread her legs wide for him. There wasn’t a lot of space in her car but it was just enough for the two of them to fit together perfectly like two peas in a pod. The billionaire shifted to his side for a moment and removed his own pants quickly. He hurled his balled up pants into her backseat. As the two of them looked deeply into each other's eyes, they smiled like two adoring teenagers who had just fallen madly in love.

But they weren’t teenagers, not even close. He was a man capable of moving mountains; she knew this much about him. And don’t think this didn’t turn her on even more.

But the craziest part of it all was that she would choose this man regardless of his fame or his money or his success. In fact, the more she got to know him, the stronger her feelings grew for the real man behind all the glitz and glimmer.

Taylor gawked at the bulge in his underwear. Colton nodded as if to give her permission to touch whatever she wanted to touch, and she was not about to pass this offer up. Hell, it was only minutes earlier that she wasn’t sure she’d ever see his face again; she wasn’t about to squander this opportunity knowing how precious it truly was. She couldn't help but gasp as her fingers glided across his steel shaft that stretched through his underwear. She could feel herself getting wetter and wetter every second as she stroked the length of his cock.

”Go ahead Taylor, take it out.”

”You don’t have to ask me twice,” she said, catching even herself off guard with her forthright behavior. This was the most forward she’d ever been in any sort of sexual situation. But considering she was lucky to be alive, she seized the moment fully and abandoned all of her inhibitions.

Taylor slid his boxers down and over his hips, and his penis came popping out. It was completely erect and ready to enter her to no end. By now she was totally drenched between her thighs, and she bit down even more on her lip to let him know that she was his and his alone.

”I want you to fuck me, Colton," she groaned.

His eyes flickered as the words poured out of her mouth. She swore she saw two little flames spontaneously combust in the centers of his pupils. Turning back, at this point, didn’t even enter her mind.

Colton pressed cock into her opening, filling her wet hole completely in just one swift motion. She let out a loud scream, only this time she didn’t worry about whether or not anybody was there to hear it as fog began to cover the insides of her car windows.

Then something strange happened. Colton's body suddenly came to a near standstill. "No,” he said as he laid on top of her, his cock still inside of her.

”Is something wrong?” she asked, her eyes covered in worry.

”Not even close,” he whispered as he smiled back to her. She felt instant relief. ”But I’m not going to fuck you, Taylor, I...” his voice trailed off and she sat up as much as his body would allow her to. “This time I’m going to make love to you.”

  Phew.

Taylor’s eyes flickered. “No pocket square?” she teased.

  “Not today.”

Then she allowed her body to collapse back down into her car seat. She was now completely relaxed, fully open, and ready to give herself over completely to the only she ever let herself fall completely in love with.

  Forever.

Colton rocked her body to its core as he slid himself in and out of her. His cock was just the right size as it stretched her the absolute perfect amount. He was big, down there, but her body could take it, and his smooth, tender rocking motions were igniting every cell in her body.

“You feel so fucking amazing,” he whispered. She pulled him into her with all her strength, almost as if no matter how close he was to her, she still wanted him closer. As he continued to make love to her, it was becoming more and more clear that their relationship was so much more than just something physical.

”I want us to come at the same time,” he whispered. He reached around and grabbed her backside, pulling her body into his tighter and tighter and tighter. She began to cry out one moan after another as he made love to her in a way she never could have dreamed of.

They both exchange loud groans as their bodies began to climax. Without speaking a word, Taylor kept her hands and arms locked around his body, and he kept his arms and hands locked around hers. Then he exploded inside of her, at the same exact time that she exploded around him.

Colton collapsed at her side. And Taylor… Well, between the fact that she just had the most incredible orgasm she’d ever had and she had just let him come inside of her, she too collapsed on her back as her body was rendered into a useless pile of mush.

As he caressed the side of her face and gazed into her eyes, one last question remained inside of her: How was it possible that this man could make her feel this good inside?

She didn’t want this moment to end, and the look in his eyes told her that he didn’t want it to end either. But it had to; the two of them had a mountain to climb. And truthfully, it was the kind of mountain that had never been climbed before.

It was time for them to come face to face with Mitch York’s challenge.

Did they really have a chance of pulling this whole thing off? What would become of Colton if their book flopped, which it easily could according to Taylor’s fears? And what would happen to Taylor the couldn’t write a bestselling book? Not just bestselling.

  Number one.

Taylor swallowed hard as her stomach tightened around a sharp cramp. “What do we do now?” she asked.

”We write the best love story ever,” he said as he finished zipping up his pants.

Taylor checked herself in her rearview mirror and made minor adjustments to her hair, as if somehow any of that mattered to him at this point. “You make it sound so matter of fact,” she added.

Colton gestured towards the passenger seat. “It is. I’ll drive.”

She did as he said and slid into the passenger seat of her own car. He continued, “I trust you, Taylor. I also happen to believe in you because I read what you wrote with my own two eyes. Whatever hell you’ve been through in life clearly shines through in your writing.”

She looked down, not wanting him to see through to the inner depths of her soul. She didn’t want him to know just how bad her past really was, but the look on his face told her he might not know the details, but he got the gist of the type of hell she went through growing up. And that was exactly what made him special- he seemed to get her in ways that no other human being ever got her before.

”If you say so,” she added.

Colton smiled and started their drive back towards his house.

She loved him- that much she was sure of. But if she was being honest with herself, she still didn’t trust him about knowing whether or not she had what it took to help him write his next book. She had never written anything before besides bits and pieces of this and that. How did he expect her to be able to top the charts out of nowhere? She loathed what lied ahead for her.

They walked inside his estate, and Colton tossed her keys down on his granite countertop.

That’s when more panic set in. “I can’t do this. I really, really can’t do this,” she cried. Colton held her in his arms and squeezed her tightly. It helped some, but not enough.

”Do you know how I know we can do this?” he asked her.

Taylor shook her head as a lone tear streamed down her cheek. “No,” she said softly.

”It’s simple,” he said as he rubbed the stray tear off her cheek. ”We are going to tell our own story.”

  She flashed a confused expression.

“This is where you need to trust me,” he added.
We need to tell our story- how we met, all of the miserable shit we’ve had to deal with along the way, and eventually…”

This time she interrupted him, “The way we fell in love?”

A wide smile spread across the handsome billionaire’s face. “Exactly, exactly.” Colton slid open a cabinet drawer and grabbed a silver pen from it. He started tapping it on his wrist as he paced back and forth, lost in the muse of the birth of their story. “And fuck the romance tropes. We’ll tell it our way, and people will eat it up.”

Taylor was becoming a believer as her eyes dried up and the last tear had fallen.

Maybe this really could work, she thought.

  But what if it didn’t?

As per usual, as if he could read her fragile mind, he tossed the pen on his counter and came in close to her. Colton brushed away a stray lock of her hair and tucked it gently behind her ear. And every single time he did this for her she swore she was going to melt like a soft pat of butter on a warm pan.

“This is where you have to trust me. I know how to tell a good story- one that will move people, inspire them…” his voice trailed off as he walked around to her back and pulled her body in close to his from behind. “And you and I… our story is a classic in the making.”

She turned her body around to face him. His eyes were dead serious, but not the same dead serious that she had witnessed when she first laid her own eyes on him in the lecture room at Baldpate University. Yes his eyes were serious, but they carried a warmth inside of them that wasn’t so much there before.

I have no choice but to trust him, she thought.

Sure she was scared, but it wasn’t like things could get any worse in her life.

  Or could they?

“Okay, I’m a believer,” she said rather unconvincingly.

He cocked his head and raised both of his brows. “I’d love it if you could look a little more sincere.”

She looked straight into his eyes and hesitated for a moment before saying or doing anything. Then Taylor let out a slow, deep breath. “I believe in you.”
