Mission For Love (Love By Design Book 6)

“Oh good, we’re on the same page them.”
“Sadly, I still have keys to the field house and reserve the right to revisit that suggestion.” He said.
I nodded compromising. “Noted. let me know how you feel about the Elvis costume.”
“What the fuck.” He deadpanned and busted out laughing.
“Elvis, David. A rock legend. It’s the sixties.”
“Hostile capture would definitely be preferable.”
“They’re seniors, it’s the same thing.” I smirked.

David
Begrudgingly, I walked into the auditorium trying to discretely adjust myself out of the prying eyes of hormonal students. Even the head librarian, Mrs. Cromwell, who should have retired when I was in high school was eye fucking me like a dirty calendar she kept in her tiny closet office behind the reference section. I pushed through a field of balloons that reminded me of landmines and a gaggle of cheerleaders trying to spot my chaperone date.
“Hey, Mr. Easton.” They tittered and my nose burned from their overloaded perfume.
“Ladies.” I acknowledged them and moved on. I could ask them if they’d seen Miss Roberts anywhere, but it didn’t seem like the best plan. They might hijack the rest of my night and I promised Kiara I’d meet her at the punchbowl by eight. My high tech watch already confirmed it was five past and I hustled in my tight pants.
The DJ on stage played songs while the student body danced like they were having wiggling seizures. Dances weren’t my jive, and I was forced to dodge a few football players twisting and shouting. The girls they were dating joined them.
I shuddered to think there was a time I might have willingly done this too. Actually, I was doing this. I was here for Kiara with my fingers crossed wearing these tight ass pants I feared might split open shooting rhinestones onto the gym floor causing grievous injury to our football and track teams. I pulled at the kerchief around my neck nervous that my get up would be the ultimate downfall of our athletic programs and yet my only chance of dating Kiara.
What a conundrum for sure.
Was it hot in here? It felt hot in here. It had to be a good twenty degrees hotter in this gym. As soon as I found Kiara and she saw my stupid costume I was heading outside with the kids smoking under the bleachers. That had to be better than this, no matter how much I liked her. A man had to have some self respect.
“Yo, dude! Check out the hottie in the corner.” I spun around hearing Thad Baker verbally ogle another student.
“Show some respect, Thad.” I growled bowling past them.
“Uh, yeah man. Nice suit.” The quarterback nodded backing away.
I looked in the direction he’d been so focused on and my chest tightened taking in the long legs encased in shiny white leather go-go boots. My eyes traveled upward to the short dress in vintage print. I think there was a picture somewhere of my grandmother wearing an outfit like at my parent’s house and I shuddered. This was uncomfortably weird for me coupled with visions of a hot tub time machine somewhere in the recesses of my mind.
“Nice jumpsuit.” Kiara sauntered over to me, the boots clicking on the polished wood gymnasium floor. I froze taking her in. Part of me rallied in my pants and I forced myself to think of my grandmother to will away my attraction for her.
I gulped and tugged on the damn kerchief.
“You okay, David?”
“I can’t believe you’re asking, but yeah. I’m good, why?” I coughed out not sure if Grandma was doing the trick or if I needed something stronger to get rid of my erection.
“Cause your face looks like you sucked on a lemon.”
“Nope. Just need a drink.” Alcohol would be nice, but that was off the table for me until we blew this popsicle stand.
“Lucky for you, I’m personing the punch table.” Kiara smiled and handed me a glass of red stuff. I drank it down quick and picked up another downing that in one gulp.
“Better. Thanks.” I still needed something stronger and I moved behind the table placing Kiara in front of me.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” Kiara wasn’t convinced and the quirk of her lips told me she knew exactly what she had done.
“Yes, you she-devil.” I growled. “You know damn well this costume is restrictive and you’re teasing me unfairly.”
“Oh that.” She giggle. “You got me, Mr. Easton. Guilty as charged.”
“Uh huh. Well, I’m going to stand here behind you. I get a better view of the dance floor from here anyway.” I glanced down and also had a better view of her ass in her short, tight dress. Damn. I was no better than Thad Baker and just as dumb.
“We’ll be here until nine and then the new history teacher is taking over.”
“Great.” I muttered keeping my eyes up and on the dance floor.
“Don’t get too excited.” She drawled sarcastically turning around. Her eyes met mine and reflected the glow of lights coming from the disco ball. Kiara sparkled under the lights and I placed my hand on her hips.
“I’ll do my best, but only if you behave, otherwise I’m shit.” I pulled her in slowly careful to not get her legs tangled up in mine. This was better. Her. Closer. Covering my dick from prying eyes since I was stuck in this stupid costume until the night was over.
“Children are present.” She whispered leaning into me.
“Yeah, horny teenagers who have better things to do than scope us out unless their name is Thad Baker.” I said on a snarl.
“What’s Thad Baker got to do with this?”
“He was checking out your ass.” I turned us so she wasn’t at the front of the table and let my palm slip down in the dark as I backed her slowly into the corner.
“David.” Kiara chastised me with a husky whisper. I kept her moving slowly away from the table. These kids could fend for themselves. It was after all, only punch in a bowl, a bowl that was probably from the same school dances I got conned into going to at this age. Some things never changed. I bet we were the last thing on ninety-nine percent of the student’s minds out there tonight.
“Besides Thad, we’re safe.” I said.
“Not here. Please.” She craned her neck up, a worried frown marring her face.
“I’m not going to do anything, sweetheart.” I whispered in her ear, the rest of the auditorium oblivious to the sexual tension between us.
“No?” She snorted.
“You can feel that?” I mused.
She shrugged playfully, “Kind of hard not to.”
“Sorry. This costume you picked out doesn’t give me much to work with when you’re around.” I pressed myself against her and listened to her intake of breath. Hey, if I had to suffer, she could stand to suffer too. It wasn’t my fault skin tight and rhinestones were the work of the devil or Versace.
“I would apologize.” She trailed off. Minx.
“But you’re not sorry in the least.” I grumbled and kissed the top of her head discretely in the dark. Her hair smelled like sweet vanilla and shea butter. If I could have eaten her up I would have.
“No. I’m not. Not at all.” The giggle that escaped her lips drove me insane with need. There wasn’t anything I could think about that would help me out right now.
I grunted. “Not helping, Kiara.”
“Okay, I’m sorry about that.” Her hands slowly run up my chest and settle around my neck.
“Now whose going to get us in trouble.” I untangled us and cupped myself squeezing hard hoping to relieve some of the desire coursing through me.
“We’ll just have to think of other things until we can get out of here.”
“Like?” I quipped. Grandma hadn’t worked, but the head librarian was kind of scary. She gave me the willies in high school and not much had change in the years since then. I tried picturing her with less anything and felt a little sick to my stomach. Yup, that would do for now.
“Uh David…” She said.
I hummed waiting for her to elaborate.
“How about we discuss the football team kidnapping our rival’s pet mascot.” Kiara turned and I moved with her eying up the goat being led around the dance floor. I think he was supposed to be a ram, but it didn’t matter. Once the principal got wind of this the whole team would suffer and Coach Calloway would make them run sprints up and down the field until they dropped.
“Shit.” We hissed together stalking after the kids.
“Hey!” I called out to Thad and a bunch of his buddies looking none too discrete. “What the hell is that?” I didn’t bother hiding how pissed off I was. I might have been an assistant coach, but they were going to screw up their next game if anyone got wind of this.
“Come on.” One of the kids said tugging on the goat’s leash.
“Give me that. Are you all idiots? You’re going to get suspended from the game if you get caught.” The goat trotted along sniffing and chewing anything it could.
“We’re just having fun. We’re going to bring him back as soon as the dance is over.”
“No. I’m going to bring him back right now before you all get suspended.” I snatched the goat’s leash and picked him up under my arm like I ready to pass him down the field. Little guy was heavier than he looked and I did my best getting him out of the gym with only a few looks from students as the disco ball illuminated part of the auditorium between songs.
“How are we going to get him back?” Kiara followed me out to the teacher’s lot and I put the goat down walking toward my truck.
“Drive him I guess, and hope he doesn’t eat the upholstery in my vehicle.”
While I was happy to be out of the dance this wasn’t exactly how I planned to end my night. I had hoped that once the kids had their fill of the red punch and the history teacher showed up, I could have whisked Kiara out of there and into my car for an impromptu make out session.
I would have slipped my hand between her thighs and inched my fingers inside her tight pussy rubbing the slick juices over her folds finger-fucking her slowly. My mouth kissed her bee stung lips and dueled my tongue with hers. Her short dress would have given me all the access I needed to enjoy her and once I’d gotten her off and maybe she would have climbed over the console to sit on my lap and grind her soaking pussy over my dick in these dumbass pants.
Instead, I was out here with a hot teacher and a goat with a thirty minute drive into the mountains to drop it off before anyone noticed it was gone. And to think teachers were paid enough for this level of fuckery.
“I can watch our furry buddy while you drive.”
“You sure? I don’t think he smells the best.”
“I feel like it’s the least I can do considering I made you wear that suit.” Kiara winked taking the leash from me and leading Prince Harry, the goat’s actual name toward my car.

David was right. The goat smelled and his costume was ridiculous. He looked indecent the way the white polyester cupped his thick round ass made of all muscle, tight and bulging. I felt badly that I made him wear it out of penance, but not so badly I didn’t want to grab his ass and rub myself all over him like a cat in heat. He got bonus points for doing it and once we got this goat out of the truck, I planned on showing him how much I appreciated it.
We were barely out of the school parking lot and down Main Street when I saw sirens in the back window.
“Damn it.” David pulled over and flipped his flashers on. “I’ll take the blame, don’t worry.” He reached back to gently squeeze my hand and I squeezed his back as we waited for the officer to walk up to his window.
“License and registration dick face! Oh, sorry miss.” He waved and I recognized the officer as Evan Rooney. Another local and apparently a good or not so good friend of his.
“I should give you a ticket for doing 27 in a 25 zone.”
“Seriously, Evan.” David drawled and I waited with baited breath to see how this was going to go down. Harry nuzzled deeper in my lap and I petted him gently.
“I am kind of pissed at you.” Evan rested his arm on the window.
“At least I’m not Demon. We’ll get over it when you stop ogling Remi and find a girl to date your own age.”
Both grunted and I was curious what that was about. Seemed the barmaid held the interest of quiet a few.
Evan shifted and rested his hands on his hips getting all business like. “So there’s a rumor about a missing mascot. Seeing as how you’re the assistant coach, you know anything about this?”
“Why are you assuming I would know anything?” David drawled and I waited for Officer Rooney to shine the light in the back and catch us red handed with a goat.
“Uh, because you’re the legendary mastermind behind several other mascot kidnappings.” Evan said. Clearly, there was a history here I wasn’t privy too.
David snorted.
“I prefer to call them wildlife relocations.”
“Is that what the pirate kid said?” Evan chuckled.
“Doesn’t matter now, I guess. How’d you find out?”
“Radio call came in from Gardiner. I figured since we have a big game with them coming up it was probably a prank.”
I heard David sigh and this was it, our big moment.
“Well, then I’d like for you to meet Prince Harry and his official envoy.”
“No, shit Davy Boy.” Evan laughed and shined the light into the back illuminating the furry guy on my lap. I hit the button to put the window down and Evan reached in to pet him. “He’s cuter then some others that’s for sure, but he stinks, no offence miss.”
I smirked. “None taken.”
“I’m trying to keep my kids out of trouble. We’re bringing him back. Maybe you could put in a good word with Gardiner PD for me?” David asked.
“Sure. Let me know once he’s secured and I’ll have them swing by to confirm he’s back. That way things will calm down and those kids can play their game.”
“Thank you so much, officer.” I said.
Evan tipped his hat at me. “No worries, miss.” He then got back in his car taking off.
David rumbled. “I’m going to make those kids run sprints tomorrow before and after the game.”
“Seems excessive and also calling the kettle black don’t you think?”
“What I think is that those kids interrupted me from getting your boots around my hips.” Yeah, Davy Boy as Evan called him was definitely in a mood. It could have been the tight pants cutting off his circulation, but I kept that tidbit to myself.
I leaned up from the back seat careful to not dislodge my goat friend and tug his wrist.
“Not even ten o’clock, the night is young.” I quipped.
“Let’s get this guy back.”
The drive took longer with the fog on the mountain and David drove carefully. Harry the goat didn’t seem to mind and rested his head in my lap for most of the drive.
David groaned from the front of the truck.
“You okay? Pants or goat?” I seemed to be asking him that a lot.
“Peachy and neither.” He grumbled.
“Harry’s a good traveler.”
“He better be. We’re almost there and I’m afraid I’m getting jealous of a hooved creature.” His admission made me laugh.
David pulled into the school parking lot and drove to the back where the goat was kept in a barn on school grounds. The Gardiner Rams were serious with their school spirit and the green and gold painted barn with a fighting ram on it was no exception.
“Thank god we don’t have a mascot like a cougar or a bear.”
“Please, let’s not give the school board anymore ideas.”
Laughing we pulled up to the barn and got out with Harry. We snuck inside noticing the broken lock on the door where the football team must have broken in. We secured him in the cage and David rigged up a lock for his door so he couldn’t get out once we left.
“You seem pretty good at this.” I leaned back against the wall watching my Elvis impersonat
or secure Harry.
“Let’s just say I might have familiarity with this.” He grunted standing up brushing off remnants of hay from his pants.
“You steal a lot of goats?” I waited for him to fess up.
“Sort of…in high school, our team was pretty bad ass back then. Goats are nothing. One time we snagged a bulldog and then the kid in the pirate costume. I guess this must be payback now that I’m assistant coach.”
“That’s…really deviant.” I said.
“You know what else is deviant?”
“What?”
“The way I’m about to kiss you right now. Come here.” David pulled me in close. There was no escaping the barn smell, but when he wrapped his muscled arms around me I forgot where we were and gave into the feeling of his lips on mine.

Turns out getting a girl like Kiara on a date was tougher than I thought. Another week has passed and between her trip to Albany with the girls competing and the football season I’m missing her like crazy. Her schedule has her blowing hot and cold with me and I’m struggling to keep my head above water with her.
I almost missed our simulated training course on base jumping over logs, climbing ropes, and running through mud, fire, and barbed wire shooting targets. Those things were easier than getting her to say yes. Tooth and nail she bucked with little to no compromise on her part. Considering, I’d never really been much of a dater this was harder than it seemed for a guy like me. I spent years stationed all over and never lacked for enjoyable female companionship, but the one time I wanted the girl it wasn’t clicking for me.
Short of stalking her and pissing her off, the latter seeming to be easier to accomplish, I wasn’t going to barge my way in despite the desire to be an alpha-dick. My mother didn’t raise me to be like that and if she heard I was giving a nice girl, any girl for that matter a hard time she would personally come up here from Florida to kick my ass. Then she’d enlist my father’s help to finish the job. I didn’t want to talk to Andy, he had enough on his plate and burdening my little sister from another mother–Remi was not happening. Besides, I doubted advise from a barely legal bestie was going to help me out of this fully brined pickle I’d gotten myself into.
