Aggressor Earth

Finally he made it to the last jump. The ship lurched as he came out at the edge of the Balyn solar system. Reaching for the controls nothing responded.
"Computer systems check."
"All systems are a go."
"Computer something is wrong I have no controls."
"The hyper drive assist vehicle has taken control," the ship responded, "Balyn detected." Aaron looked at his screen and looked as the Balyn ships moved in quickly.
"Can you override the hyper drive assist vehicle."
"Negative" the computer responded.
Damn he thought they never planned on giving him any chance at all.
"Computer do you still have control to do a weapons drop."
"Weapons drop is a go."
Aaron thought to himself, if he dropped a weapon the hyper drive assist vehicle would stop and give control back thinking it had completed its mission.
"Drop primary weapons."
"Dropping weapons. Weapon one away. Alert Weapon two is a no go. Weapon two has malfunctioned."
"Can you take control of the hyper drive assist vehicle."
"Yes the hyper drive assist vehicle is no longer in control."
"Set return course." As Aaron said it a bright light began to form in front of him. It was the Leviton weapon beginning to emit a light that swirled around it faster and faster, he didn't have much time.
"Return course set."
As he pressed the jump button and went through the worm hole a bright light temporarily blinded him.
Humans he thought we could always be trusted to do what comes naturally. They never planned on given him a chance no more than they did the Viride. This would never end until mankind learned humility. The Viride would be wiped out along with any other race we found to be useful, and if they were not, we would go to war with them. Bringing on destruction to others or possibly ourselves as we came so close with the Balyn. He was no philosopher and maybe his time in space has alienated him from earth and human kind in general, but this had to stop.
There was one way he could stop or at least slow down human expansion, the undetonated Leviton he still carried. He might not be able to launch it from the ship but he could simply set it off still attached in Earth orbit.
"Computer change course at the next recharge."
"What is the new course?" the computer said.
"Earth," Aaron replied.
Aaron raced through the recharges as he came closer to Earth less and less Balyn came up on his screen at the recharge points. Finally it was the last stop, he looked out and saw the Earth. It had been a long time since he had seen it. The communications came on and a voice said "ship identify yourself." Aaron ignored it.
"Computer detonate primary weapon."
"Warning Primary weapon is still in the hold."
"Override he said."
"Override a go weapons launched."
Aaron watched as the Leviton weapon launched toward the Earth.
"Computer," he said "I thought the primary weapon was stuck in the hold."
"Primary weapon has launched."
Aaron shook his head hardly believing his luck. Somehow the weapon broke loose.
"Computer new course."
"What is the new course?"
"Viride."
Aaron once again watched as the bright light began to form before he launched into the last man made worm hole the Earth would ever see.
Coming out of hyper space Viride lit up the sky. He knew he didn't have long before the Leviton weapon spread into the system. A voice came over the communications.
"Mark 10, Mark 10 do you read?"
"Yes, I read you" Aaron said.
"Have you completed your mission?" It was the man in the suit. "Have you completed your mission? Have the weapons been launched?"
"Yes, weapons have been launched."
The voice became excited "congratulations!"
"Tell me," Aaron responded, "is Doctor O'Conner still there?"
"No she is no longer at command she has been returned Viride."
"Computer," Aaron said "disconnect from the hyper drive assist vehicle."
"Disconnecting, disconnect done."
Aaron moved the Mark 10 forward toward the planet. Flying into the planets atmosphere he moved along above the trees.
Coming up he spotted the Viride village and landed in a open space. Stepping out he saw Molly was there. He knew she would be. On the ground she jumped into his arms.
"Tell me your here to stay?"
Looking up he saw a bright light move like a wave across the atmosphere, the Leviton weapon had reached them. "I'm never going to leave again." he said back.
