Ruled By Pain: Goddess Unveiled Book One Page 15

by Sarah Bale

That awful feeling crept through my body again, making me feel sick and scared at the same time. Something bad was coming and somewhere out there a new Goddess walked around unprotected.

The hairs raised on my arms as the Fates whispered into my ear. Their words were jumbled, but I caught two important words.

  War.

  Soon.

Turning, I found Hermes, God of Trickery, smiling down at me. He was the happiest I’d seen him in years.

  “Osumare. You rang?”

I nodded. “I need your help.”

His eyes brightened. “I will do my best.”

“Let us hurry. There isn’t much time before the world will start to riot.”

And finding the new Queen would solve everything. Hopefully.
