She sighed and nodded. Her eyes looked heavy, like she would pass out soon. “Mr. Sexy,” she whispered.
“Yes, Livvie.”
“I…I want to say that I’m so happy we met. I’m so glad you saw me that day outside of the coffee shop.”
My heart was full of love for this amazing woman in my bed. I caressed her hair and said, “My Livvie, we were destined to be together. I’m so happy I found you.”
We kissed again, a gentle, soft, kiss full of love and promise for our future. I was happy, but something was nagging at me. I couldn’t quite figure out what. She had drifted off to sleep when it hit me. The realization of the most important thing I could have forgotten. My stomach clenched and I gasped for breath as it washed over me. We had met before the curse allowed. In all of the confusion and drama of the night, it had somehow escaped my mind. Livvie was going to die.
