Brothers Black: Wyatt the Heartbreaker

Page 22

by Blue Saffire

“Yeah Baby, that will work,” I groan.

Shit, I have a sexy wife. She looks me in the eyes through the camera and she gives herself the hottest orgasm I have ever seen. Boy, is she ever vocal. I briefly try to remember if she is this loud and intoxicating when I am home and inside her.

Her lips part and her big brown eyes widen. Her phone slips in her hands and I get a glimpse of her cleavage through the open buttons of my shirt she is wearing. Damn, her tits look fucking huge.

“Wyatt,” she cries out and I am coming all over myself in no time. Nellie has a dreamy look on her face, and I know I should let her get some sleep. She has to work in the morning.

“I love you so much,” I tell her as I catch my breath.

“I love you too,” she says sleepily.

“Go to bed baby. I’ll talk to you tomorrow,” I say reluctantly.

“I love you, Wyatt. I can’t wait until you come home. I need you,” she says in a small whisper.

It tugs at my heart. I really feel her words. I am almost tempted to call this whole thing off and go to her. I need her too. I hate the sadness that enters her eyes before she has time to cover it up.

“I love you too, Baby. I need you so much. I’ll do what I can to wrap this shit up as fast as I can,” I promise.

“Be safe Wy, don’t rush if you can’t be safe,” she pleads.

“Always Baby. I love you, good night,” I reply.

  “Love you too, night.”

  Chapter Thirty Seven

  Wyatt

I have a pain in my chest. It hasn’t gone away since last night when I talked to Nellie. She looked more tired than usual and something else was off. How do you tell your wife she looks like she needs to go see a doctor on video chat without her going off on you?

Right now I wish I would have just done it. I have this sinking feeling something is off. I called her this morning, but I didn’t get an answer. Noah and I plan to wrap this assignment up in the next few days. He is itching to get home as much as I am. I think we have all we need.

I hate taking these government cases. They always come to us with the shit they don’t want to touch but have no problem looking the other way for us to get our hands dirty in. That only means we have to do things just right so it doesn’t blowback on us.

If this were a clean cut case, we could have been home by now. I glare at my computer as I watch Noah with one of our contacts. It is the last package we will be dropping off from this location. All the rest of what they want they will get from Dad and Rob at headquarters.

My computer starts ringing and I see it is Toby. Anyone calling from the office at this hour would have critical information to the case that could be covering our ass. I answer without hesitation.

I know something is wrong right away. Dad is standing behind Toby and his face is bright red with rage. Mom is on Toby’s other side and her face is a mask of shock and horror as she gazes toward Toby with glazed over eyes.

“Wyatt, we need you home now. I fucked up man,” Toby sobs out.

“What…slow down what is going on?” I say as calmly as I can, but that feeling I have been having all day is back with a vengeance.

For the first time in a year and a half, I think of Nathan Briggs and the mission we went on with his team. I have no idea why that flashes through my mind now, but it only increases the sick feeling rising in my chest. I haven’t seen Toby like this since he was little and he needs some of us older boys to step and make sure he got a fair fight.

“I fucked up bad. That mission with the Russians. I had a picture of my girl and me in my pocket. I didn’t realize until weeks later that the picture had gone missing. I thought nothing of it until I went to wash the gear I wore that night.

“My pants pocket was ripped, a hole big enough to lose a picture through. I was scared, back then I had so much going on. I didn’t want to have one more thing stacked up to disappoint you and Dad.

“When the first six months passed I started to relax. Dad and Bobby shut down that trafficking ring, and things were quiet. I never thought that maybe there was no blowback because I have been hiding them. Fuck, man Nellie has just been helping us out, but she hasn’t been able to do a lot lately,” he is rambling but the mention of Nellie catches my ear.

“When Dad gave me an out of town bounty, I thought it would be okay to leave them at your place with Nellie and Bean. Kwäzē wouldn’t drag you into our shit so they were safe there, at least from what I thought was a threat.

“They took my girls Wyatt, Nellie tried to fight them off as best she could, but being pregnant, she could do but so much. She got TJ away, but they just took her instead…”

I’m not hearing shit else he is saying. He lost me at Nellie being pregnant. I am already in motion packing our shit up. I have text Noah on autopilot to get his ass the fuck back here.

My mind is reeling. Noah bursts into the room asking questions and I just point him to Toby on the screen. Noah turns to the computer and stops. I hear a small boy’s voice at the same time and turn back to the screen. It is the first time the little boy in Toby’s arms registers with me.

“Da da,” the small boy says and Mom starts to sob in the background. I now see she wasn’t staring at Toby in shock, but the little boy in his arms.

Holy Shit. He looks just like Toby, but with slanted eyes and brown skin. My mind snaps back into focus and I start to replay Toby’s words in my head. Kwäzē, those slanted eyes are just like Toby’s best friend Kwäzē’s. Toby’s said something about his girls. Damn it, Toby. Kamara. I told Toby a long time ago not to go there. He never fucking listens.

“Who is that,” Noah points to the little boy. He has to be a year or more old.

“This is TJ, Toby Jr. He’s your nephew. Wyatt, I’m so sorry man,” Toby chokes out.

I calm down to think rationally. “How do you know it was the Russians?” I fire off.

“For one the feed from the surveillance,” Toby swallows. “And Bean was in the house, she had just gotten out of the shower when she heard the commotion. She heard them speaking in Russian. Nellie also dropped two bodies. Braxton has positive IDs on the two. Felix already has a location and facial recognition on a few of the other guys. It looks like they were trying to snatch Kamara and the twins only, at first.

“Nellie ran out when she heard the screaming –”

“Stop right there,” I growl. “I haven’t been home in four months so that means my wife is at the least four months pregnant. She was in the middle of combat at four months pregnant! Is that what the fuck you are telling me?”

I think my head is going to burst. I knew something was going on with Nellie, but her being pregnant? She has hidden this from me this whole time. I am livid.

“Five,” Mom sobs, “she is five months. She didn’t want to compromise your mission. She put herself in danger to save the wee babe and his sister, Wyatt. You know that is who your wife is.”

“Right now I don’t know anything! You all knew my wife was pregnant and not one of you, including her, thought it would be a good idea to tell me, the father of the baby she is carrying,” I sneer.

“Wyatt, bro that is not what is important right now. Your pregnant wife and our niece have been kidnapped from what I’m gathering. Toby’s woman is missing with them. Let’s stop wasting time,” Noah tries to calm me.

“Noah,” Toby huffs. Noah’s head turns eerily slow toward the screen. “Bean went after them. That’s how Felix has a location. He is tracking Bean and she has been calling in every twenty minutes. She hid TJ and took off after Nellie and my girls.”

“Let’s move,” Noah says in a deadly calm. “Toby.”

  “Yeah,” he sighs.

“When this is over you have so much explaining to do and Wyatt is not the one that is going to be kicking your ass this time. You put our whole family in danger, you little shit. I told you, whatever was going on with you; I was there to help before that shit blew up in your face. This is what
a bomb feels like, Toby,” Noah replies before slamming the laptop shut and tossing it in our bags.

We take what we need and ditch the rest to get out of here as fast as we can. It is only a four hour flight home, but four hours too long at this point.

I send one more text before we storm out of the apartment we have been staying in. This one is a warning as well as me calling in a favor. I know only one word is needed.

  Blowback.

  Nellie

I’ m hungry and I am cold. I would think that I would be scared as well but I’m not. You would think that I would be freaking out because I have taken three lives, but I can’t say that I am. At first, I thought I might be in shock. Everything happened so fast.

It was nothing like with Barry. I didn’t hesitate, I fought on instinct. I hit the alarm on the way out of the house to help Kamara and the twins. I knew that one of my brother in laws or my father in law would head straight for the house.

All I had to do was keep us all safe until then. I hadn’t seen the second car of men. I was able to get TJ out of the kidnappers hands. At eighteen months. TJ is already walking. Lulu is getting there, but I knew if I got TJ free he could run on his little legs. I just prayed Bean would get to him before anyone else.

I can feel the anger rising even now. I had Kamara and Lulu. We were so close and then the second car appeared and there was nothing I could do. One of the bastards started to aim blows right for my stomach and as I blocked him from harming my baby they grabbed us all.

Well, not us all I smile to myself. TJ got away. I lick the inside of my busted lip. I don’t know how long we have been here. This room has no windows, it is like a concrete cell. I took my third life when we got here. They were trying to make us strip out of our clothes. I wasn’t doing it without a fight.

In the end, I ended up with a busted lip. I have been trying to ignore the dried blood on my thigh. One of those pigs sucker punched me in the ribs. I know I would have made Noah and Steve proud if they saw me. I hope Wyatt is proud of me. I haven’t cried a tear and we are as safe as we can be right now. However, they did take our clothes, even the baby’s. They left us in nothing but our underwear.

So here I sit on the cold cot next to Kamara and Lulu as we share a single blanket and try to share body heat. They have brought us food and water, but I don’t trust touching any of it.

Everything happened so fast. At first, I thought Kamara’s family had come for her, but then the men started yelling in Russian. I knew what they were saying right away.

You can’t work at Black and Lock without knowing, at least, three languages, I speak six. Rob drills us on them. You can miss critical information when you don’t understand a language or the context of the information because of lack of use.

They didn’t want me. They were yelling at each other to get rid of me and get Kamara and the kids in the truck. I guess that all changed when I got TJ free.

“The bleeding has stopped,” Kamara says more to herself than me. I know that she has been in shock. “If we get away from here I will never be able to repay you for what you have done. I won’t be able to live with myself if something happens to your baby.”

“Don’t Kamara, they will come for us. The Black Family is the best at what they do. I know they are on the way. If I could have just fought them off, a little longer help would have made it,” I mutter the last part to myself.

“Are you crazy? You shouldn’t have been fighting them off in the first place,” Kamara shakes her head at me.

“What was I supposed to do let them take my family,” I turn to look her in the eyes and I can see the tears brimming. I can also see the gratitude.

“You didn’t have to do what you did. I will never forget it,” Kamara gives me a teary smile.

“Don’t let them see you’re scared. I’ll keep us safe until Wyatt comes for us,” I say with determination.

I probably wouldn’t be this brave if it were only me, but I have three other lives to protect. We have to make it out of here. I haven’t even told Wyatt he is going to be a father.

It has been on the tip of my tongue several times. Each time he has asked me for chat sex, I have been tempted to shoot the right angle to show him my growing belly. I had been excited, Wyatt would be home soon and I could tell him and we would be able to go find out what we are having together. I already had an appointment.

I go to reassure Kamara again, but the sound of the bolts being unlocked fills the room. I am hoping it is the girl they have been sending to bring us food and water. With no windows in this room, I’m not sure how much time as passed. She has been here twice already.

Before the door flings open I know we are not going to be so lucky. Instead of the girl, a tall, broad man enters the room with a scowl on his face. His dark hair is cropped close to his head and his blue eyes are cold. He looks at the untouched trays of food and then at us. He snarls at us as if he is piss at us for rejecting the food. It is then that I am glad I told Kamara we shouldn’t touch a thing they give us.

“We were trying to make this easy for you,” he shrugs. His eyes rake over us and I fight off a shudder trying to run through me. He snaps his fingers and two other men enter the room. My body tenses ready for a fight. “Bring them, Iosif is waiting.”

Kamara grabs my hand and squeezes it as if in warning. I feel my babies small flutters in my belly and squeeze my eyes shut. I hadn’t felt the baby move in what seemed like hours. I have been focused on fighting to get out of here because that was easier than thinking about what could be.

Now I feel like the baby is trying to give me the same warning Kamara is. My jaw tenses because in my heart I know it is better to fight then submit. I will never go back to who I was with Barry. I will not be a victim. Wyatt has shown me I don’t have to be, but for now, I swallow down my fight and follow the men out of the room as they grab us up from the cot.

Lulu starts to cry and one of the men yells at Kamara to shut her up. Only he is yelling in Russian and she has no idea what he is saying. I am getting pissed. I think my hormones have me a little more violent than usual.

My eyes start to adjust to the light in the large warehouse area they are dragging us into. I look around trying to find an exit or weapons we can use to get out of here. There are crates and cartons everywhere. When we enter a clearing in the center of the warehouse, my heart sinks a bit. There are four other men waiting. Three of them have automatic rifles.

That now makes a total of seven men that I know of. I curse under my breath. We are really going to have to wait for help. I could probably do some damage to get Kamara a head start, but I would be putting her and Lulu in danger.

I know from the fight back at the house that I have lost speed with my baby bump weighing me down. No, I have to get us all out safely. That is the only way Wyatt will forgive me for this one. I touch my swollen belly protectively.

The big one that spoke in our little cell snorts as he looks down at me. His eyes roll over my half naked body stopping on my breasts and he licks his lips. I almost gag. I’ll cut his tongue out first.

“I will enjoy breaking you,” he says harshly through his accent. I’m tempted to spit in his face, but Lulu whimpers reminding me I am not alone.

We are shoved into chairs in the center of the space, facing a large table. I scan the place again quickly taking in the table, a video camera, on a tripod and men around us. There lust filled eyes are trained on us as smirks and scowls cover their faces, all but one.

I know he must be the leader. He is not as tall as the one that led us here. He is thinner too. His hair is jet black and he has a faded looking scar running from one side of his face to the other. His face is not as hard as some of the others so the scar doesn’t make him look as scary as it may have on one of the others faces.

I still don’t underestimate him. His lip is curled in a smug sneer as he glares at us. I assume this must be Iosif. He points to me. “Her, bring her here,” he b
arks.

One of the others comes to grab me by my arm. When the one that barked the order sees me lift from the chair something changes in his face and he grabs himself. I panic for the first time. The look in his eyes says a lot and none of it is good for me.

My instinct to fight kicks in without thought. I have to protect my baby. I reach for the hunting knife at the hip of the one holding my arm. I slash behind his knee before I lift the knife to plunge it into his gut. He releases me stumbling back with a howl. I kick out as hard as I can, making the knife plunge deeper.

The leader starts to yell in Russian. “I told you all to watch this one. You fucking idiots. I will just do it myself,” he bellows.

He storms me, reaching for my hair, but I duck out of the way. Like I said I am not as fast with my bump. His hand shoots out coming across my face hard. Stars burst behind my lids and I stagger back and instinctively cover my belly.

He grabs a hold of my hair and drags me roughly over to the table. He snaps my head back so I look him in the face. A smug grin touches his lips. My face is throbbing and I know a bruise is already forming.

“I will make you well worth your trouble,” he sneers hotly into my face.

“Let me go now and my husband will just kick your ass,” I growl back at him.

He barks a laugh and lifts a brow at me. “You will fetch me a good price once broken. When I find out which one is your husband I will be sure to send him pictures of his little whore,” he hisses. He switches to Russian and barks orders to his men. “Start the camera and hook up the live feed.”

  Chapter Thirty Eight

  Wyatt

I have never been this furious in my life. In my anger, I forgot that Nate’s wedding was today. For business reasons, we weren’t invited. My family was not offended. It has just been a sort of silent agreement that our relationship should remain inconspicuous.

So when I tell you that I have total respect for Nathan Briggs and the Briggs family, I have total respect for them. In the middle of his wedding, he not only had his father call to find out what is going on here, but he then sent a team.
