I looked at Kaido and was asleep. He looked relaxed, which I thought I was kind of cute. I looked back at Ansel and she started to look upset.

  “It’s Vlayru, isn’t it?” I asked her.

She nodded her head and said, “It’s that obvious, huh?”

“Yeah. You just need to give him some time. It’s between him and his family. There’s not a whole lot that we can do,” I reassured her.

She rolled over on her side, facing away from me.

  “I guess so,” She responded.

I turned to look out the window and started to wonder why Vlayru would turn his back on us. All his actions led to his betrayal. I should of have seen this coming. It wasn’t his fault, though. It was Crios’s fault. I then started to remember my mother.

“Oh no, Mother!” I said, jumping up in a hurry.

I ran out of the room and saw that we were across the hall this time, rather than the next room over. I opened the door and saw the adults sitting around. They looked up at me and I saw my mother smile.

She said, “Good to see you are up and walking around so soon.”

I walked in and got a better look at my mother. She was lying in bed and was bandaged up.

“Are you okay?” I asked in a worried tone.

I quickly made my way to her side, putting my hand on her shoulder. I heard someone walk in the door. I turned my head to see Kaido and Ansel standing in the doorway.

“Yes, I’m fine, sweetie. Not the first time I’ve been stabbed,” She reassured me.

“I think we’ve all been stabbed more times than we can keep track of,” Ryuu said, jokingly with a smirk.

Regan responded, “You’re not wrong. By the way, Tana, thank you. If you didn’t kill Heldin, Ayla and I would have been goners.”

“Yes, thank you, Tana. She had these vines connected to our bodies that were keeping us alive, but if they were removed by force, they would have killed us. Killing Heldin released us though. Again, thank you,” Ayla added.

I nodded my head and replied, “Oh, you’re welcome. Happy to help.”

My attention turned back to my mother, as I looked down at her bandage. I was still worried about her. Obris flew in from the window right after that.

He looked around and said, “We have a situation.”

“What is it?” my mother asked.

  “It’s Sabre,” Obris said.

  Mother looked shocked, “Wait, what?”

“I can’t talk about it here. Meet me in the Heaven Realm,” He told us and

He turned and flew off through the window, into the sky.

“Come on we’re going the tower,” Vlaykre told everyone.

He pulled everyone toward him and transported everyone into Abeyance.

Vlaykre walked forward and ordered, “This way.”

We all followed him through the drab landscape. Vlaykre opened a portal and walked through it. We followed him through it. The dark purple aura cleared up and I looked around to see where we were. We were in Central City still, but this time standing at the base of the tower in the center of the city. The tower was large and had a staircase going up around the outside of it. There was a man standing there. He had a hooded cape, sleeveless robes, and knee high boots.

  He spoke, “Hello everyone.”

  “Hi, Icarus!” Hana greeted back.

I was confused, “Who is this?”

Ryuu answered, “This is Icarus. He is from…. a place far away. He helped us during all the wars.”

“He is also Master Sand,” Vlaykre added.

I looked at him in, trying to not look as surprised as I was. I shook his hand.

“It’s great to finally meet you, Katana,” Icarus said to me.

I smiled and replied, “Same with you.”

“Are we going up to the top?” Kaido asked.

“Yes, we are. That’s where we can get into the Heaven Realm,” Ayla answered.

“Do you expect up to climb up that huge thing?!” Ansel asked.

“No, we do something else,” Vlaykre replied.

He aimed his hands to the ground and a dark purple aura surrounded our feet and he lifted everyone up all the way to the top of the tower. We land on the top platform. It was windy and in front of us was a giant floating white crystal.

“Well, that was easy now what?” Vlayru asked.

My mother pointed at the giant crystal in the middle of the tower.

She then said, “We have to pray to that.”

The adults kneeled in front of the crystal and started praying. After a few moments, we joined them and did the same thing. Suddenly, everything was devoured into a bright light. when it cleared, we were in the Heaven Realm. I looked around and saw the same scenery I saw from the other day.

“Come this way,” My mother said.

She and the other adults walked toward a gate that opened as we approached. It closed after we all walked through it. We then walked through a busy area with people walking around in white clothing. a large dome building was on the other end. We made our way up to the building and entered. A man dressed in white robes approached us when we got inside.

“Welcome again, masters and mistresses. The Creator is expecting you. Follow me,” he asked us.

We followed him through the doors and hallways the way to a room. Then, we walked through the doors of the room and the doors closed behind us. I looked over to find Obris, Ryder, and a humanoid figure who was glowing with a bright light aura. They were all sitting at a very long table. We followed the adults around the table and they kneeled in front of them. We looked at each other and quickly did the same.

Spex sat up in his chair after realizing he was slouching, wanting to pay close attention, “This is it, past-self. Any time now.”

Ryuu then said, “Creator, you have news on Sabre?”

Was that being really The Creator? Wow, this amazing.

The Creator then spoke, “Yes I do. Have a seat everyone.”

We sat down in the empty chairs than The Creator continued, “Before I get to that I must introduce myself to Katana, Mabel, Vlayru, and Ansel. I am the Creator. It is nice to finally talk to you.”

“Thank you for having us. It is an honor,” I said.

“It is my pleasure, now onto business. Now, Tana, you had a dream about Sabre almost dying, and you then saved him, correct?” The Creator asked me.

  Everyone looked at me puzzled.

I answered back, “Yes, that’s right.”

“Well, it was a premonition. I found out that Sabre is going to be killed in past. If we don’t go back and help him, the present will alter. We need to find a way to save him,” The Creator explained.

Spex then spoke, “This is where I come in.”

“I thought that Sabre could come back from Abeyance as much as he could until Dark Vanquisher was to be defeated back then?” Ryuu asked.

“Yes, this is true. I believe though, that if we let him die something will prevent him from coming back.” The Creator answered.

“Wait, not come back? Is it that guy again?” spex wondered.

  The playback continued.

Regan then asked, “Is there any way of traveling to and from the past?”

After a long pause Vlaykre spoke, “Well when I was studying my family’s history, there was something that talked about time travel.”

The Creator explained, “Yes, I had a lot going on during the time of the Masters. So, to make it easier on myself, I bestowed your ancestral grandfather, and his family with minor time manipulation powers and the job of Time Protectors.” The Creator explained.

“Where are you, past-self?” Spex said, worried.

“There are some books I can grab and read through them quickly,” Vlaykre suggested.

I fell over in my chair suddenly and felt extremely weak. Everyone jumped up and my mother ran to my side. I saw that my hand started to look see through. Kaido and Ansel’s bodies were doing the same thing.

  Spex jumped up
and exclaimed, “Oh, no! I remember now! Vlaykre is supposed to create a time spell to open a time portal for Tana. Something must have changed, but what? And why do I remember my past-self being there.”

Spex thought further and continued to watch at the same time.

“Katana! Are you okay?” My Mother asked.

  “I don’t know,” I replied.

My hand went back to being normal and I got back up. Ansel and Kaido got up and looked normal as well.

The Creator then asserted, “It’s as I feared. We must hurry. They are starting to become non-existent.”

“You know what, screw it. I have to do this,” Spex said and disappeared into his purple aura.

Spex appeared on top of the Central tower. He put goggles on over his eyes and hood over his head. He then went over to the crystal and prayed. Light surrounded him and he was now in the Heaven Realm.

“I wish I could teleport to this Realm. It would have made this a lot quicker,” Spex said, walking fast towards the dome building.

He quickly made his way into the building and over to the room where everyone was.

“I should go and look for that book,” Vlaykre said.

Spex walked in and said, “You don’t have to. I’m here to help.”

Everyone turned to him. Spex looked at everyone and they all looked confused and cautious.

Hana took a step forward and said, “Wait, you’re Master Time, aren’t you?”

Spex looked confused and replied, “Yeah, how did you know that?”

Hana clarified, “You helped us a long time ago. You look the same as when I last saw you. It’s like you didn’t age. At from what I can see of your face.”

Spex escaped to his mind to trying and remember.

“I’m sorry, but I can’t remember that happening,” Spex replied.

Vlaykre then said, “So you have time powers?”

Spex smirked, “Yes. There is a lot to explain and I’m more than happy to do so. Right now, though, we need to focus on saving Sabre. Tana is going to be the one to do.”

“Well, you came at a good time. We need you to help with traveling to the past.”

Spex replied, “Yes, I already know. I’ve been watching you guys from my hologram of the timeline.”

Tana questioned, “Wait, you’ve been watching us?”

“Yes, but again, I’ll explain that as well later,” Spex answered.

Spex closed his eyes and thought of the point in time when Sabre was fighting then got stabbed. He put his hand up and a light purple portal opened by him.

“Go ahead, Tana. You are going to the past, so make sure you don’t talk to anyone or let anyone see you. If you do, it’ll ruin the whole timeline,” Spex warned to Tana.

Tana nodded her head and looked over at Hana who looked back with a smile and nodded. Tana then looked back at the portal. She walked over to it, then stepped through it, slowly. She then disappeared into the purple aura.

“Will she be okay, Master Time?” Ryuu asked.

Spex looked back at everyone and they had a worried and concern looked on their faces.

He reassured them by saying, “Yeah, she will. You can trust me, guys. She’s tougher than she knows.”

Chapter 17 – Back to the Past

“It’s been about five minutes. How long does this take?” Kaido questioned.

Spex, who was still holding the portal open, saw that kaido looked worried.

  “She’ll be fi…..eerrrrraaa,” Spex reassured.

Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain rush to his head again and fell on one knee. He stood back up and he was in the middle of a battle zone and was behind a boulder. He saw two demons run by him. he leaned out and saw that they were running towards a group of people at the bottom of the hill. They were looking in the opposite direction and it seemed like they didn’t know there were about to be attacked. He realized that this was the Heaven and Hell War. He looked closer at the then group and saw that it was Sabre, Hana, Vlaykre, Ryuu, Ryder, Regan, Icarus, and Miro. The demons stopped and shot a giant blast out of a cannon, killing the gang.

“Master Time, ‘you okay?” Vlaykre asks putting his hand on his shoulder.

Spex came to and he was still bent over on one knee. He took a deep breath and stood up.

“Yeah, I’m fine, thank you,” Spex said, rubbing his head.

He looked over and the portal was still open, but the other side was a view of what he just saw in his vision. Spex heart stopped for a moment.

“What happened?!” Spex said, standing back up quickly.

Ryuu replied, “While you were bent over in pain, the portal changed.”

“This isn’t good. Crap,” Spex said and closed his eye.

  Spex opened up his senses.

“Why isn’t that good?” Hana said, in a worried tone.

“She’s in a different time period,” Spex concluded.

  “Wait, what?!” Kaido replied.

Spex didn’t need to see that everyone started to get worried. Suddenly, he felt Tana running for the portal.

Spex said, “Wait, here she comes.”

  “Thank goodness,” Ansel said, relieved.

She lunged through the portal and landed near them, In a crouched position. Spex closed the portal and everyone looked relieved and Vlaykre helped her up.

“So, glad you came back, hun,” Hana sobbed, hugging her tight.

Spex walked over and said, “I’m sorry it’s my fault. You would have gotten back sooner if it wasn’t for me suddenly losing control of myself.”

“That isn’t your fault,” The Creator assured.

The Creator was still in his chair. Hands folded in front of his face.

The Creator then continued, “You had a vision, and you got it for reason, and I’m sure you’ve had others. That reason has to do with why you are here, from what I’m guessing.”

Spex smirked and replied, “Well, that is why you are The Creator.”

  The Creator nodded.

“Basically, I’ve been watching you guys since the day Tana and Vlayru were attacked by shadow dwellers,” Spex explained.

“Why have you been doing that?” Ayla asked.

Spex sighed and crossed his arms.

He continued, “The timeline got messed up somehow. I’ve been trying to figure out how or why it happened.”

Everyone looked puzzled trying to figure out what he was saying.

Hana then questioned, “So things have changed?”

Spex continued, “Yes. For instance, we never called Kaido by Kaido. Just his real name, Mabel. Also, I never met Ayla. Vlayru’s mom original died when Vlayru was just a baby.”

Ryuu and Ayla looked at each other. Spex could tell they both thought they could never imagine not being with each other. Regan looked at Kaido and studied him.

“Have you gotten any leads?” Vlaykre asked him.

Spex answered, “The only one that I have is that there has been someone lurking around with a scythe. I think he is pulling strings in the background and is the cause of all of this. He must be from the future if he knew how to make changes. The only problem is, I have no idea who he is. I don’t know anyone with a scythe that has caused this much trouble before.”

“Someone new, then?” Ryder pointed out.

“Right,” Spex answered, “I think Crios is also working either with or for this person.”

Tana looked worried but questioned, “Well, are you here to join us in this fight?”

“Yes and No. I’m always around to help, but due to the laws of time travel I need to do it from outside of time,” Spex said.

“Of course, there are laws,” Ryuu groaned.

The Creator then explained, “For good reason. If someone were to see themselves during time travel, a paradox will be created and the timeline will explode in on itself. So, I created a rule that goes against that to protect the timeline.”

Spex added, “He’s right. Basically, for me, once I travel to a specific poi
nt in time, I can’t do it again. For example, I can’t come back to this current time and I see myself, or else it's game over.”

  “Wow,” Tana responded.

She looked down with her hands on her hips, trying to contemplate what was just explained.

Everyone was doing the same thing.

“Wait, you know what happens in the future, right?” Ryuu asked.

Before Spex said anything, Vlaykre interrupted, “Don’t ask those type of questions, Ryuu. It’s not right to know our futures.”

Spex put his hands on his hips.

He replied, “Even If I did tell you, it wouldn’t matter, and for two reasons. One, the future isn’t ever set in stone. I don’t even know my own future. Two, for me the timeline just recently got changed, so I don’t know how the rest of the events leading up my current time goes.”

“This is the first time that this has happened, Master Time?” implied Regan.

Spex nodded and replied, “Perceptive as always, Regan. Yes, this would be the first time that someone changed everything.”

Everyone was still processing, except for Regan and Vlaykre.

“Well, I should get going. I need to figure out who is doing this. I’ll be watching and come to help where I’m needed. Goodbye, for now, everyone,” Spex said to them.

He turned to walk out the door. The Creator stood up and stopped Spex.

“Wait, Master Time. May I have a word in private,” The Creator asked him.

Spex was surprised for a moment, as he stopped and looked at him.

He then replied, “Oh, yeah. Sure.”

The Creator nodded and walk away from the chair. They went through another door into the next room. Spex followed and shut the door.

The Creator took a step closer.

“You can remove your hood and goggles. I know exactly who you are, Spex,” The Creator told him

Spex removed his hood and goggles, revealing his light blonde spiky hair.

“How far from the Future are you?” he asked.

Spex answered, “Forty-five years from now. Five years after the next two major events in the Timeline.”

“Interesting, you don’t even look that much older than you do right now.” the Creator remarked, “You know there is another reason you can’t really be around this timeline, right?”
