“If you want to be there when I talk to her, you can.” I assure Lorraine. She thinks about this for a moment and then shakes her head.
“I trust you Calissa.” I smile and turn to everyone else.
“Thank you all for helping me, for saving me and for everything else. Edward, thank you for not forcing Jaxon to kill me when he went against your orders and thank you for helping with Levi. Caroline, thank you for saving my life, being a great help and friend to me and my family. Mike, Tessa was stupid to dump you. You are awesome.” He blushes. “Tiffany, I like you. Stick around this time please.” Everyone laughs at my demand except her who smiles lightly. I turn to the last person.
“You, Jaxon Cray-”
“Jaxon Raymond Cray.” Tiffany cuts in and I grin wide and Jaxon shoots daggers at his mum.
“You, Jaxon Raymond Cray...” I look around the room and see everyone's eyes on us. I rethink my speech to him. “...are coming with me. Come on. See you later everyone!” I grab Jaxon's arm and we shimmer out of the large house and into my room. “We need to speak to her together.” I say and he nods.
“Yeah, I think so too. Let's have some fun first though.” He gets an evil look in his eye and leads me out of the room. He takes me to the entrance to the attic and using the key I swiped from mum, I let myself in and make my way upstairs. I usher Jaxon into the room while I stay behind and listen in.
“J-Jaxon! You're not dead?” Tessa's shaken voice sounds. I try not to feel bad at the fact I know she has been crying.
“Oh I was but Calissa brought me back. Killing herself in the process.” He sniffs and I stifle a laugh at his terrible acting skills.
“No!! She can't die! Is there anything we can do? I can't live without her. I need her.” Aww.
“There is one thing you can do.” Jaxon starts. “You can- ah screw it I can't do it Titch.” I groan.
“Jax you are a shit actor you know that? Can't even keep up a façade for longer than thirty seconds.” I walk into the room with my hands on my hips and frown at him.
“Yeah I know but I can't even go along with it. Living it was hard enough.”
“N'aww you gone all soppy on me. I don't like it. I want my caveman back.” I pout and he laughs before planting a huge kiss on my lips. I turn towards Tessa who is staring at me in horror. “Hey Tess.”
“You- that- um. He- Oh! Don't do things like that to me!” She yells out.
“Why not? You shot him, aiming for me. Life doesn't get easy after things like that Tess.” I plant my hands on my hips again and Jaxon stands behind me and slips his arms through the gaps and wraps them around my waist.
“I know. I am sorry. Truly am. I don't know what came over me. I don't even like my dad.”
“I know you don't. You hate him. Hence why I don't know why you went to him in the first place.”
“I do.” Jaxon cuts in. “After I dropped you off after our date, I went home and got a call from Wayne, the blue haired demon guard from the dungeons? Well he's been working for us on the inside for years. Anyway he said that there is a warlock working for Vepar and Levi that made Tessa do as Levi asked. You were literally under a spell Tessa. When Levi died and Paul came back, the spell increased and made you go on a mad one because it was wearing off.”
“Wayne told you all of that?” I ask dumbfounded.
“Yeah why?”
“No reason. Just seems weird that he couldn't even set us free is all.” I huff and Jaxon laughs and kisses my cheek.
“So, am I forgiven?” Tessa asks hopefully. I give her a repulsed look.
“Uh, no!” Her face drops. I laugh. “Just kidding, yeah. Kind of. I don't want you living here though. I still love you but I don't entirely trust you yet. Besides, our bone crushing power thing works wonders when together and not using it on each other so I'd be dumb to throw that away.” I giggle. So does she but it sounds strained.
“Yeah that thing you did to me frigging hurt. It felt as if all my-”
“Bones were being crushed? Yeah, hence the reason I call it bone crusher.” I smile and she rolls her eyes.
“So what now?” She asks.
“Well, I don't know about you but I want to enjoy the rest of Summer before Uni. I also want to enjoy my boyfriend a bit more.” I give them both a cheeky smile.
“Oh yeah, I'm down for that.” Jaxon whispers huskily against my neck, causing goose-bumps to erupt all over my body.
“Oh gross.”
“Oh, Rhys wants you to ring him when you are back. Actually he wants me to ring him but he scares the crap out of me so I will leave that to you.” I manifest up the card he gave me and toss it to Tessa.
“Oh no.” She groans.
“Ha! Well, I'll leave you to it then. My beds all your tonight if you want it. Think your mum is planning on moving back to your old house tomorrow though.” I tell her. I get ready to teleport Jaxon and I away but stop when I see that she looks pained. “What?”
“Can I, um, have a hug?” Her words shock me a bit but I only half regret my response.
“No. I'm not ready for that yet.” I whisper. When she nods, I squeeze my eyes shut and take Jaxon and I out of the room, landing in his. “Was that horrible of me?”
“If you're not ready, you're not ready. No-one will hold it against you.” I nod. “Anyway. We have two days to make up for on that bed of mine.” A mischievous grin forms on his perfect face. “Wanna know what Heaven looks like?” I don't get to form a reply because his bedroom door swings open revealing a sweaty and distressed Lara.
“Cally! I need your help. My friends are in trouble.” Jaxon groans when I sit up to attention.
Just can't catch a break can I?

I would like to thank my parents and grandparents for passing down their extremely creative imaginations on to me. You have all done so much for me and I know for certain I wouldn't be where I am if it weren't for you. Love you all.
About Author
I am a 24 year old mum from Flitwick, Bedfordshire, UK. I live with my partner Colin and two babies. An almost 2 year old boy and a 1 year old cross breed pup called Tia.
I have always loved a good book, ever since I learned to read. I would sometimes much rather chill with a book than go out drinking. Sad as that may sound. I have also always have an imagination that was far bigger than what should be normal. Everyone would always catch me going off into day-dreams where I would picture myself sprouting wings and flying away, or miraculously showing people I could do gymnastics (even though I can't)
My mind would wander in the most inappropriate times, like in my exams in High School or mid-conversation with someone.
One day, just messing around with one of my friends at the age of twelve, I started one of my first stories. It was awful but it gave me a start. Maybe one day, if I can find it, I will post it up on my Facebook page for others to read. But saying that, it was THAT bad, I'd rather not.
Then as I got older, my imagination grew as did my education and my stories got better and better (to me).
Now that I have finished book One of the A Touch of Magic series, I can assure you all that book Two is most def
initely on it's way. There will also be a lot more other books from me, so keep an eye out ;)
