“Good. That makes me happy, because I want to see you more often. I know we agreed on Tuesdays and then Friday and Saturdays, but can we add another day, or possibly have you stay the whole weekend?”

Megan bit her bottom lip. He wanted to spend more time with her, which was great, but was it safe for her feelings? Now was the time to tell him the truth, that she was developing feelings for him, but she just wasn’t sure she could form the words.

“To be honest, I would really like to have you here all weekend. Is that something you think you could do?” he asked.

“I don’t know,” she quietly said. “I have a cat, and I can’t leave her that long.”

She could see the disappointment on his face. She was about to speak and tell him she would see if her neighbor could look in on the kitty, but he spoke first. “Well, why don’t you think about a day then, if you want, and let me know on Friday.” He stood and held his hand out to her. “It’s getting late, and I don’t want to keep you.”

Taking his hand, she followed him to the front door. It was as though there was some stupid lump in the way of her vocal cords and she couldn’t express what she was feeling.

Before he opened the door, he asked, “Is there anyone you’re talking to about all of this? I know you have a friend in the lifestyle. Do you confide in her?”

  Megan shook her head.

“Maybe you should. It’s okay to talk with her about it. It’s like a support group. Anything you’re feeling, she should be able to relate to. Do me a favor and sit down with her and really talk before you come back on Friday. Can you do that?”

  “Yes, Sir.”

  “Good, I’ll see you then.”

Megan made her way down the stone pathway to her car and headed home. Why couldn’t she just say what she wanted to? What was she so afraid of? Obviously he liked her. He wanted to see her more. And that was the perfect opportunity for her to tell him. Maybe Greg was right, talking with Dawn might be just what she needed.

Greg had attempted to show her how he felt. He’d prepared a nice meal and asked to see her more often. And she’d just looked scared. He was beginning to think these feelings he had were completely one-sided. That she didn’t feel the same. But when they’d showered and she’d caressed him, he swore he saw pleasure in her eyes at being able to touch him. And man, her hands were so smooth and glided so nicely across his wet skin. Jolts and tingles had shot through his body the whole time she explored him. He’d never experienced anything quite like that before. Sure, any time a woman touched him it felt nice, but this was different. He couldn’t explain it. He just wanted more. A lot more of Megan in each and every way possible.

He didn’t know a lot about cats. He’d never had a pet. But people brought their dogs places, couldn’t she bring the cat? Were dogs and cats that much different? Did she have a valid excuse?

Greg stomped to his office and decided to call Jay. Perhaps he knew something about cats, or even how to find out what Megan was really thinking.

Jay answered after the second ring, but sounded a bit sleepy. “Yeah.”

  Shit, what time is it?

“Damn, were you sleeping?” Greg asked.

“I think so. I was watching a movie on the couch and I think I must have dozed off.” There was a pause. “What’s up?”

  “This can wait.”

“Greg, it’s eleven o’clock at night, and I’m guessing you didn’t even know what time it was. I don’t think you actually want to wait. So tell me what’s going on.”

He had a point. “Do you know much about cats?”

“You’re kidding me? You called to talk about cats?”

“Well, no, not really, but kinda, yeah.”

“Cats are pretty independent animals. Good for a companion, and if you travel a lot, you can leave them home and they’re fine. They aren’t like dogs where they have to have you for things. Why? You getting a cat?”

“No. But is a cat like a dog where you can just bring it over for a night?”

“Not really. Cats take a while to adjust in new surroundings. And they get kinda cranky and hiss a lot.”

“Damn.” Greg let out a sigh. “I told Megan I wanted to see her more often. Things are so different with her, dude. Not only do I like her, but also her company. And I’m starting to think that I want to try and make a future with her.”

“That’s great. So where the hell does a cat come into play?”

“She has a cat. And I asked if we could extend her time to all weekend, but she said she couldn’t because of the cat. And I’m worried it was just an excuse, especially with what you just told me.”

“Did you ask her if it was an excuse?” Jay asked.

“No, I just sent her home. Told her I would see her Friday.”

“Did you ask her how she felt about more days?”

“No.” Greg raked his hands through his hair. Had he really communicated well? Probably not. Once his feelings were hurt, he sort of just shut down and sent her home. He never really gave her a chance to say anything.

He talked with Jay for a few more minutes, and Jay suggested that he take the time to actually talk to Megan. And perhaps to even do it while in the playroom—where she might feel more comfortable to speak since he was in charge and showing his dominance. And of course, he needed to be honest himself with Megan about what he wanted with her, and if they didn’t see eye to eye, it might be time to end the relationship. The thought of that caused all sorts of aches around his heart.

Greg finished off his glass of wine and headed to bed. He needed to plan just the right scene for Friday and prepare himself to finally tell her how he felt in words and not actions.

Megan closed down her computer and knew she needed to hurry. She was meeting Dawn in an hour at their favorite coffee shop for a late evening snack. Normally the shop was pretty empty at that time, so hopefully they would be able to talk a little. Greg was right, she needed to confide in someone and Dawn was the perfect person for support.

Leaving her office, she found her kitty Callie sitting on the arm of the couch, looking as though she wanted something. Megan picked her up and scratched behind her ears for a minute, then as usual the cat pushed off her chest and jumped to the ground. Callie walked away with her tail twitching. Obviously it was not a nice ear scratch the cat had desired. So Megan followed her to the kitchen and filled her bowl with a layer of fresh food before going to change.

Once she arrived at the little café, she ordered her coffee and muffin and then made her way to the stairway that led downstairs. That was one thing she and Dawn loved about this place. The upstairs was crazy with people coming in and out, but the downstairs was set up with couches and chairs, dim lighting, and low music. Being this time of night and the day it was, she wasn’t at all surprised there was only one other group down there. Dawn sat in a corner, snuggled in a deep chair with a newspaper in her hand.

“Hey,” Megan said as she took a seat across from her.

“Oh, hey. How are you?” Dawn laid the paper in her lap.

“Good actually, I got some writing done today. I just might meet my deadline.”

  Dawn smiled. “You always do.”

She was right. Megan always did meet the deadlines. She stressed and got cranky, but when it came down to it, everything was always done in time. This time she owed it all to Greg. Knowing he wanted to see her more had put her in a chipper mood and the last few days the words just poured out her fingers and onto her computer. She had to get another few chapters done, but she was ahead of schedule. Maybe she could even get this one turned in early.

“So tell me what’s going on. You said you wanted to talk about Greg, which thrills me to finally get an insight into what’s going on with you two.”

“He wants to see me more often.”

  “That’s great, isn’t it?”

“It’s fantastic. It makes me feel like these feelings I have for him are mutual. That maybe he likes me for more than just his sub
.”

“Are you going to see him more? What did you tell him?”

“That’s where I think I sent a mixed signal. I was so shocked at what he was asking me, that when he said he wanted to extend the time I came on Fridays to all weekend, I said I couldn’t because of Callie.”

“Do you want to spend the whole weekend with him?”

“Yes. I love our time in the playroom, but I also love when we eat dinner together or do things like a normal couple. But I’m not my full self with him yet, and I don’t know if I can do that.”

“What do you mean?” Dawn asked.

“Can I joke around with him? Things like that?”

“If your agreement is that outside the playroom you’re free to speak, then why not? He is still your Dom, so you have to respect that, but sure you can flirt and have a good time.”

“We showered together the other day. He let me touch him all I wanted, and I loved it. I want to do that more.” Megan took a sip of her coffee.

“Tell him. You have times where you sit down together and discuss your relationship, right?”

  Megan nodded. “All the time.”

Dawn reached out and took Megan’s hand. “Listen to me, he isn’t your ex. He wants to know how you’re feeling. You can tell him. He isn’t going to yell at you and tell you to shut up. He genuinely wants to know. And if he has the feelings for you that you think he has, then he will want to know it all. Be honest. Open up to him. You won’t regret it.”

Squeezing Dawn’s hand, Megan said, “It’s hard, but I know you’re right. I think it’s time to forget John for good and move forward with Greg, if that is how he feels.”

“Then it’s time you two really talked. And I think all the kind things you’ve told me that he’s doing for you, the dinners and so on, he is expressing to you how he feels. A home-cooked meal…I have to tell ya, I’m jealous.”

Megan laughed. “He is an awesome cook.”

Talking to Dawn really did make Megan feel better. Just being able to speak openly about it, and having someone understand, was a huge weight off her shoulders. And she knew her friend was right. Greg wasn’t anything like her ex. It was time she realized that and started to live in the present and not the past.

On Friday she was going to pack a bag for the whole weekend, and if Greg wanted her to, she would stay. Her cat would be fine and might even enjoy the alone time. After their session on Friday, she was going to tell Greg in their re-cap how she felt. She was feeling pretty confident that he felt the same way too.

  Chapter 11

Megan waited patiently for Greg. He was running late. Just the sheer fact it was almost seven thirty made her shiver. What if he was angry with her? Maybe she was being punished for not expressing how she felt the other night. She hadn’t thought she could be punished during free talk, but maybe she’d upset him so much he just wasn’t going to come.

It was chilly in the room. Taking a look around, Megan wondered what would happen if she quickly got up and turned that damn ceiling fan off. It was on high, and her skin was like one giant goose bump. Her nipples were hard and not in a good way.

Megan decided to go ahead and take a chance. She walked across the room, rubbing her arms, hoping the friction would warm her up. After she turned off the fan, she returned back to her spot and plopped down on her pillow. And it was just in time, she heard Greg coming down the stairs.

As usual, once he was in the room, he stripped his clothes off and laid them to the side. He made his way to where she was and stood before her.

“I’m sorry for keeping you waiting. I was on a call that I couldn’t break away from.”

Keeping her gaze on the floor she waited for his direction.

“It’s been another one of those days with tons of interruptions. I’m so glad to be here now, where there should be no distractions. But my frustration is affecting me in a negative way, so I would like to start the scene without you pleasuring me orally. Tonight I want to use the Saint Andrew’s cross. You may go over there.”

As she kept her eyes on the ground, she went to the cross. This thing had always intimidated her, but she trusted Greg.

“I want you to look at it now and study it. Does this tool scare you?” he asked.

The Saint Andrew’s cross was shaped like an X with a pole coming off the back to keep it in an upright position. It was covered with what looked like a padding of leather and there was a restraint on each part of the X. She knew when strapped to it, she would be open and exposed. But since it was with someone she fully trusted, she wasn’t scared.

  “No, Sir,” she responded.

“Good. Tonight I want you facing me, so I can bring you pleasure. But in the future, I can use this instead of the whipping bench if you ever need punishment.”

She shuddered. She hated the thought of punishment. She just wanted to please him. As she positioned herself for him, the leather was cool to her skin. She hadn’t yet warmed up, even with the fan off.

Greg took his time restraining her and making sure it wasn’t too tight around her wrists. With her arms above her head, she knew this could get uncomfortable fast, and she hoped she didn’t have to stay this way too long.

As he finished up with the restraints on her ankles he gazed up at her, then to her pussy. Positioning himself between her legs, it took his mouth no time to latch on. A moan fled her lips. His mouth was so warm, and his tongue flicked her clit in a fast motion. She was already feeling her knees weaken. His hands gripped her ass cheeks, spreading them as he massaged around her hole. She had her plug inserted and she hoped she was on the last size. He applied a little pressure to the plug as his tongue thrust into her entrance. She cried out, she couldn’t help it.

“I think you’re almost ready for me to take you in the ass.” He pressed his lips to her inner thighs. “And I can’t wait.”

He kissed a trail up her stomach, stopping at her breast for a quick suckle before he kissed his way to her chin, then paused.

“Do you want me to kiss you? Do you want to taste your pussy?”

  She nodded. “Yes, Sir.”

Slamming his mouth to hers, his tongue thrust into her mouth, just as a finger drove into her pussy. She groaned, doing her absolute best to hold off on an orgasm. But with the way he was kissing her and pleasuring her, it was tough. She wanted more than anything to wrap her arms around his neck and hold him close to her. Instinctively, her arms jerked against the restraints, reminding her he was in control and she had better not come until told to do so.

She focused on the kiss and not what he was doing to her. But just as she got her mind away from that, he stopped kissing her, but his digits didn’t stop. He gazed into her eyes and smiled.

  “Does this feel good?”

  She nodded.

“You’re doing so well holding off your orgasm. Perhaps I should reward you. Do you want to come?”

  “Yes, Sir.”

“Then you shall. But I want it to be into my mouth.”

Lowering himself to the ground again, he pressed his mouth to her. His tongue explored before it slid into her. He gazed up at her. She was on the edge, but she knew she needed to hold off until he told her to come. The sight of his long tongue licking her and pushing its way inside of her was just about to break her. But then Greg’s eyes looked past her and seemed to focus on something else entirely. And the pleasure stopped.

Standing, he walked to the door of the room where he studied the light switches. Shit! He flipped the fan back on and turned toward her, his arms crossed over his chest. “Was this off when you came in?”

“No, Sir.” Was she really going to be in trouble over this?

“Did you ask to turn the fan off in my playroom?”

It looked like she would be. “No, Sir.”

“I like the fan on. There are no windows in here and it gets stuffy quickly. Why did you turn the fan off?”

  “I was cold.”

“Did I not warm you up?”

>   “Yes, Sir, you did.”

He shook his head, and she feared what was next. She didn’t want to be punished.

“It’s been a hell of a day. And I was really looking forward to tonight. I needed a good scene, I needed to feel in control. I needed my sub to be obedient, but instead you took control of my playroom by turning off my fan.”

Megan couldn’t help but feel frustrated. It was just a fan. Really, what’s the big deal? Damn these stupid restraints, if she wasn’t stuck to this damn board then she just might have walked out.

“Now it’s time for an appropriate punishment. And I think it will be that I am ending the scene for the night.”

She sighed and rolled her eyes, and when she caught sight of his expression she realized what she had just done. His calm demeanor washed away, and she could see the frustration building in him.

“An attitude? You’re going to roll your eyes at me? I was going to just end the scene and we would talk in the morning for your punishment. Now, however, I think I need to paddle that disrespect right out of you.” He began angrily releasing her from the St. Andrew’s cross. “Go to the paddle bench.”

Rubbing her wrists, she started toward the bench. She sat on her knees, but instead of leaning over it, she hesitated. She didn’t want to be spanked. This was absolutely stupid. And with everything running through her mind, once again here she was not expressing how she really felt. It was like being involved with her ex again. Greg was getting all the say and she was just taking it.

“I’ve picked the paddle with the word naughty on it. Now lean over the bench,” he demanded.

Glancing at him in the mirror and not recognizing the man she knew, she said loudly, “Red.”

He froze. His expression changed from anger to something else altogether. She knew he wasn’t expecting her to safe word. He laid the paddle down, raked his hands through his hair, then left without looking back.

Megan let out a sigh. Should she follow and tell him why she used the safe word, or leave him alone? The next thing she had to decide, did she want to stay the night as planned or should she just go home?
