Wolf Spirit

In the bathroom, I looked at us in the mirror. He had blond hair and blue eyes. His skin was tanned from spending too much time in the sun, running in the woods. He and his brother barely wore clothes when it was hot outside.

“Look at you,” I said. “I might just throw you into the shower.”

He twisted in my arms and tried to escape. “Nooooo! I’ll wash my hands! Just my hands!”

I laughed out loud and turned the shower on. He started kicking and screaming, but I knew he was just playing. I tickled him, and he laughed with me. In no time, he shifted into his wolf form, and instead of washing a stubborn, spoiled boy, I was giving a shower to a wolf pup with yellow fur. Oh well… As long as the result was a clean kid…

  Alaric

My shift was late. Damn Officer Sparrow. I had to have a word with Callum about talking some sense into him or firing him if he didn’t understand that some people had families to go home to. I hadn’t seen my son since morning, and every minute spent away from him was torture to me. I was seriously considering taking a vacation. The pup had grown beautifully in the past few months, he was taller than Garrett’s son, and I couldn’t have been a prouder dad. I knew it was stupid to compete with Garrett, but the competition was all in my head. I would never tell anyone about it. Not Garrett, and especially not Wisteria. In her eyes, her three pups were equal. Born on the same day, minutes from one another, they could practically be considered twins. But they weren’t. Callum’s daughter looked like him, Garrett’s son looked like his father, and my son looked like me – dark eyes, dark hair, and a strong bone structure. When he shifted, he was the fastest, too. I knew he was going to be a powerful Alpha, and I knew he was going to break many hearts.

Yes, I had to take a vacation. I needed to be there to teach my boy everything he had to know. Playing with his siblings was cute and fun, but we weren’t going for cute and fun, were we? One day, he could be a leader, build his own pack, and find a beautiful, loving soulmate to share his life with.

I got home a little after eight. Everyone was waiting for me, sitting around the table, not yet eating. Garrett and Callum were drinking beer, Sierra was nursing a cup of tea, and the pups were playing with their spoons and forks, pretending they were swords. My heart melted when I saw them like that, gathered around the dinner table, patiently waiting for me to join them. The fact that they hadn’t eaten was humbling. Okay, so I was going to take a vacation to teach my son how to be a true Alpha, but also to help his mother around the house. After all, a true Alpha knew how to do the dishes and fold the laundry.

“Sorry,” I mumbled as I took my seat at the table.

“Everything alright?” Wisteria asked me. She leaned over and placed her hand on mine.

I lifted her hand to my lips and kissed it tenderly. “Yes.” Then I turned to Callum. “Officer Sparrow was late again.”

“I’ll deal with him in the morning.”

I laughed. “If he doesn’t leave his post before I come in.”

  “If he does, he’s fired.”

Wisteria stood up and removed the lids from every dish on the table. There was soup, steak, broiled veggies, fish, and at least three types of sauces. I could also smell the dessert waiting for its turn on the kitchen counter. We each helped ourselves. Wisteria picked the most delicious morsels for the pups, and when they were set, she finally filled her plate. I couldn’t take my eyes off her. She noticed, and we exchanged a glance. It was enough for both of us to know that after she tucked the pups in bed later, she was going to come to my room and spend the night with me. Callum and Garrett sensed the wave of energy between us, and silently agreed.

We ate, then I helped Wisteria with the dishes. Garrett went to bring more firewood, and Callum gave the pups a puzzle to work on before going to bed. The four of us sat in front of the fireplace, drinking wine and watching them argue and fight over the pieces. I pulled the Omega on my lap and kissed her ear. She giggled.

“What do you say, mut?” I made sure to whisper the term that was now of endearment so softly that the pups couldn’t hear it. “Are you ready for the next three?”

  “Next three?”

  “Yes. Pups.”

She shuddered. “I don’t know… But I can feel my estrous is close.”

“Good. Heat or not, you’re still mine tonight.”

  “Mmm… yes, sir…”

  My cock was hard.

Why were the pups taking so long to finish that puzzle?

  Wisteria

I kissed my sons and daughter goodnight. I closed the door to their bedroom and stepped onto the hallway. My three Alphas were waiting for me. Alaric was going to have me tonight, so I knew Garrett and Callum weren’t expecting more than a kiss. These days, with three pups demanding our attention every minute, it was hard to find a good time to be with all of them at once. I could feel that my heat was going to take over me in a few days. It was time to find a nanny, and then take my Alphas deep in the woods, where they had built me the cell that was supposed to protect the world from the Wolf Spirit.

It wasn’t exactly a cell, but it wasn’t very big, either. It was just perfect. Perfect for my Alphas to fuck me there, knot me, and put more pups in me.

My heart was beating like mad. I was soaked between my legs, and I knew my Alphas could smell my slick. I kissed Garrett on the lips, then Callum. I took Alaric’s hand, and he guided me to his part of the house.

  I had it all.

I was a mother, a soulmate, an Omega who had reached her full potential.

Life was good. And it was only going to get better.

“Wolf Spirit, thank you for eliminating the bad, so I could have space in my heart for the good.”

Once, I knew what my future was going to be like. I was bound to mate an Alpha chosen by my father, to be his Omega and have his pups. But I changed that future when I dared to fight off my would-be mate. When I killed him and became a rogue wolf.

There's only one place left for me now - Rogue Wolves Prison. The penitentiary built for the most vicious, unrepentant werewolves alive. It's not a place where I can expect to survive sane, let alone find love and a soulmate.

But all my expectations, hopes and fears are torn apart the moment I meet Killian Wolfsbane.

He's fierce, destructive, stronger than any werewolf I've seen. He's the leader of The Killers, the gang that holds almost as much power over the prison as the Warden. He looks at me with yearning and protects me, but can't seem to bear my presence. I can see myself in his grief.
