"He probably is. We are planning on sleeping out here, right?"

"Of course. We'll sleep out here until he's better. I'll keep you warm."

Billy smiled and leaned in, his lips brushing over Tucker's. "Yeah, you do make me warm." Tucker couldn’t believe how lucky he was. It seemed that his life was coming together. Billy was amazing even when Tucker fucked up, like today. He couldn’t believe he'd allowed Lindsay to make a date with him. Fear had held him mute. All he could think about was her reaction to him being gay and trying to hide it from her. Billy deserved better and he was going to try hard to give him more.

  Chapter Seventeen

Two days later, Beauty was doing well enough to be released back into the paddock during the day. The swelling in his ankle had decreased significantly, leaving him able to prance around like normal. He loved the extra grain he was getting and Billy could see how the horse would get spoiled. They'd put a donkey in the pen with him, just another animal to keep the snakes away.

Billy was feeling neglected though. It had been days since they'd felt comfortable enough to make love. In the barn, they'd cuddled, but they hadn't gone further. Billy planned on rectifying that tonight. Before dinner, he'd snagged all of the candles he could find, positioning them around the room. When Tucker wasn't paying any attention he'd grabbed a bottle of wine and hid it in his bedroom along with two glasses. After dinner, the guys were going to watch a movie and Tucker tried to talk him into the movie, but he'd forced Tucker out of the movie room, dragging him to the other end of the house.

"I don't know if I'm tired enough to sleep," Tucker complained.

Billy held on tightly to the man's hand, smiling as he thought of all the fun he had planned. "Close your eyes," Billy demanded when they stood in front of his door.

"What?" Tucker placed his hand on his hip and cocked it to the side. "What if I don't want to?"

Billy rolled his eyes. "Just go along with this. Come on, just for me."

"Um, okay." Tucker closed his eyes and made funny faces. "How long do I have to do this?"

"Until I tell you that it's okay to open them."

"Fine." Tucker followed him into the bedroom, shuffling his feet as he moved slowly. "Is this really necessary?"

"Yes. Now keep your eyes shut." Billy smiled when Tucker huffed out a breath, a frown turning down the corners of his mouth. "Stop being so contrary. You'll love what I have planned."

  "What if I don't?"

  "I'll give you a refund."

"Refund?" Tucker's eyebrows lifted and he worried that the man was going to open his eyes and spoil the surprise.

He slid his hand over Tucker's chest and down his torso. "Yeah, I'll find something to give you if you don't like this."

  "Promises, promises."

"Now be a good boy and stand still."

A bark of laughter from Tucker echoed around the room. "Me, good?"

"Please, you're such a good boy. You never do anything wrong."

  "Whatever."

"Fine, just stay still." Billy found the lighter and pushed the button, rolling the safety forward. The click was magnified in the small room.

"What was that?" Tucker tilted his head to the left.

"Nothing. Just keep those sweet little peepers closed for a bit longer."

"Fine, don't tell me. Just leave me all alone over here. No need to include me."

  "Sweet Jesus, stop your yammering."

"So now you want me to stand still, keep my eyes closed, and my mouth? Next thing you're going to do is to tie me up."

Billy groaned and pushed his hand against his dick, pressing hard. "Fuck. Really, would you?"

  "What, be tied up?"

Half the candles were lit but he couldn’t keep his hands off his man. He advanced on him, pressing Tucker against the door, holding his hands over his head. His lips slanted across Tucker's, his tongue demanding entrance. They were rocking together, their bodies heating when Tucker gasped. Billy pulled away and noticed that Tucker's eyes were open.

  "You looked."

"Billy, when did you have time to do this?"

"I wanted all of the candles lit but I couldn't keep my hands off you."

Tucker turned Billy so his back was against the door and pushed his hands over his head. "You are too special. I can't believe you did this for me. I freaking love you." Tucker's kisses left him panting. His dick ached to be touched and kissed by Tucker. He needed to be naked, needed to feel the man's smooth skin under his fingers, tease the silky hair that ran from above his belly button to the root of his cock. The need overrode his senses and he tugged at Tucker's clothes, pulling off his shirt and flinging it to the floor.

He pressed his cheek against Tucker's chest and sighed. "You feel so good. Tucker, how did I get so lucky? You're the best thing to ever happen to me."

Tucker worked his pants open and was kicking them off, getting tangled up with his shoes. Billy laughed and helped him out of his shoes, socks, and pants. The man looked so good with only his white underwear covering his stiff cock. Billy dropped to his knees and ran his nose over the ridge. Tucker's fingers twisted in his hair and he smiled before sticking out his tongue, tracing the rod.

  "So good," Tucker moaned.

  "You want more?"

Fingers tightened in his hair, twisting and tugging. He knew the answer before Tucker spoke. "Yes," he hissed and tugged harder on Billy's strands.

With two fingers, he dragged the cloth lower, exposing the tip of Tucker's dick. He stuck out his tongue and teased the flat head, licking over and over again. Salty liquid bathed his tongue and his eyes rolled up in the back of his head as he drank it down. Tucker began thrusting his hips and Billy tugged his underwear below his balls, exposing everything he wanted access to.

He let Tucker's dick drop from his mouth. "Hey, don't stop," Tucker complained. After a quick smile to reassure his man that the fun wasn't over, he opened his mouth around one of his man's balls, sucking on the globe while tugging slightly.

"Ah damn, Billy, I'm going to come if you keep that up."

The words encouraged him and he wrapped his hand around Tucker's rod, stroking him while he licked and sucked on his balls. Tucker's cock grew bigger in his hand and he knew he'd have exactly what he wanted in seconds so he moved back to Tucker's cock and slid his lips down the shaft then back up.

Tucker gasped and clutched Billy's hair, holding him steady as come slid down his throat. Above him, Tucker moaned, his whole body shaking as he emptied. The last of Tucker's seed slid down Billy's throat but he didn't pop off, instead he moved his lips over the softening rod until Tucker cried out and pulled away.

"Enough." Tucker staggered but Billy was on his feet and caught him.

"I'm not done with you yet. Go lie facedown on the bed."

Tucker obeyed, dropping to the center of the bed in a boneless heap. The soft candlelight flickered over Tucker's skin, the sheen of sweat from their lovemaking reflecting the light. He circled around the bed, grabbing the bottle of massage oil he'd saved for an occasion like this.

The first touch of Billy's hands to his shoulder made Tucker flinch then Billy smoothed his fingers over his muscles, pressing in hard. He moaned, wondering what he'd done to deserve such a wonderful man. Billy rubbed and pressed, his hands working magic, turning him into a slave to Billy's touch. He'd do anything to make Billy happy. If Billy produced handcuffs, he'd put them on, whatever it took to show his man that he appreciated all that he did.

  "Do you like this?"

"You're the most amazing man I've ever met."

Billy's lips slid along his neck up to his ear. "I promise to always take care of you."

  "Mmmm, you're the best."

"Babe, I'm yours. I'll be with you forever."

Slowly, it was sinking in that he wanted to be with a man, not a woman, for the rest of his life. Now that he'd been with Billy, he never saw himself going back to wanting a woman. It had been a while since he'd thought about forever with a
nyone. The military had changed him and none of the women he dated since coming to the ranch enticed him enough to even contemplate forever, but Billy made him think there could be a future for him after Wild Bluff.

  "Forever sounds good."

Billy lowered, plastering his chest against Tucker's back. Tucker widened his legs and Billy sank between them, his dick riding Tucker's crack. He wanted Billy inside him. Even the pain didn't scare him anymore. He wanted it all. The discrimination didn't bother him as much knowing that Billy would be with him.

The lube cap snicked open and he lifted his hips, spreading his knees wider, giving Billy better access. The press of Billy's dick sent him to heaven then he slid in, finding the special spot that made Tucker see stars. They rocked together, Billy wrapping his arms under Tucker's chest, holding his shoulders tightly. This wasn't fast and hard lovemaking, Billy took his time, his movements sensual and slow, drawing him to another orgasm but holding him on the edge until both of them were shaking and covered in sweat, neither one able to speak intelligibly.

Tucker cried out first, then Billy shivered above him, groaning as he came, spilling his seed deep inside Tucker. They were one. Totally and completely devoted to each other forever.

  *~*~*

Grant stared at his reflection, sad that anguish was now a constant companion. So much of his life had been a lie. Even with what they'd found on the man, it wasn't enough. He had to know just how devious Craig was. He'd never figure out the truth unless he searched for it. The other guys wouldn’t be happy, and they would probably try to convince him to stay, but his mind was made up.

They almost had all of the pieces of the puzzle they needed to determine if Craig had set the bomb, but they didn't know for sure. Craig may not be his and probably never really had been, but he was Grant's problem. They'd been together for years, and he should have seen any cracks in the façade that would have shown Craig was capable of such a heinous act. Destroying lives, killing innocents wasn't something he ever thought his Craig could do, and yet they could almost pin it on him.

He had to know, and staying in Colorado wouldn't get him the answers he needed. His bags were packed and the arrangements made. Facing Duff would be hard, but he wouldn’t sneak out of Wild Bluff like a thief.

Grant left his room, grabbing his bag on the way. The men were gathered in the kitchen for breakfast and work assignments, their voices and laughter made him smile. He'd miss them while he was gone, but he didn't see any other way than the direct approach. Craig was good at covering his tracks, but Grant had an idea where he was. It wouldn’t take much to find him, maybe a few weeks at most.

Tucker said something and the guys all laughed. Grant's heart grew, pride in what they'd accomplished filled him. This was where he belonged. The men who lived at Wild Bluff were his family, and Craig on the loose was a threat he didn't want his family to live with.

He stepped into the kitchen, his heart swelling as he watched them together. Billy had Tucker backed up against the counter as they talked. Roger, James, and Marshal were laughing, their eyes filled with merriment as they ate the eggs Duff had cooked this morning. Mike and Duff were making coffee, arguing about the correct water to grounds ratios. Both made great cups of coffee, but they loved to hammer out the details, driving each other crazy. Zander pulled fresh cinnamon rolls out of the oven and half the guys descended on him, but he batted them away, laughing as he told them to wait.

Duff spied him standing at the edge of it all and waved him over. "Glad you could join us. You almost missed breakfast."

"I'm not staying." It took a few seconds, but he had their attention. Eight pairs of eyes stared at him, their faces going serious.

"What?" Marshal asked. "You aren't leaving—not like Craig."

"No, not like that. But I need to go take care of things. I can't leave this to chance. I have to find out if Craig was responsible and clean this mess up."

Zander stood, his expression fierce. "You can't go alone."

"Zander, I have to go alone. If I go with you, we'll be found out. This mission needs to be as secret as possible. Craig can't know I'm coming. He'll run and he won't leave a trail."

"I don't like this." Marshal stepped forward, his hand outstretched before he pulled Grant into a hug. "I understand and support you. If you need anything, you give us a call. You have eight brothers to back you up."

The men confirmed Marshal's declaration, each one pulling him into a hug before wishing him well. Then it was Roger's turn. Grant's breathing grew shallower and his heart hammered. He needed a private room to say good-bye to Roger, but they had an audience that wasn't leaving and would be suspicious if he dragged Roger back to his room and kissed him like he wanted to.

"You be safe." Roger's voice cracked as emotions filled his eyes. "I'll be here waiting for you to return."

Hugging all the other men had felt right, but touching Roger like that was more than he could bear, but he had no choice when Roger pulled him into a hug. He shivered and Roger squeezed him tighter.

"I'll be here," Roger whispered in his ear and moved to let go, but Grant didn't release his hold until after he ducked his head enough to get a quick sniff of the man.

Grant would have to be stupid not to see that the mood in the room had changed. The rest of the seven had turned away, busying themselves with other tasks as they ignored he and Roger. Grant took the opportunity to reach out and grab Roger's hand, squeezing twice before stepping back and clearing his throat.

"I'm going dark, but I'll be back. Keep the world safe while I'm away. I'm counting on all of you to watch each other's backs."

"I'll make sure we do," Marshal said.

"Be safe." Duff's voice rang with pride and power.

He would be safe, and he'd get the answers they needed. If he had to, he'd take out the trash and clean up their little problem. If Craig hadn't set the bomb, he'd warn him away from doing anything stupid. If he did set the bomb, nothing would stop Grant from making it right.

  Chapter One

Grant ducked into the coffee shop, biting his tongue so he didn't curse up a storm. His cover had been blown. Three blocks away, he'd almost run into Craig striding out of the lobby of Grant's hotel. The man's lips had been set in a grimace and his cheeks pink. Craig hadn't been paying close attention or he would have seen Grant. The disguise helped. A funny looking hat and clothes more suited to an older gentleman had done the trick, at least he hoped it had. Who would have ever thought that taking up birding would have saved his life. Of course he wasn't really watching birds, he'd been searching for Craig, and he'd found him, actually Craig found Grant, which meant the guy was on the offensive and knew Grant was in the country.

He'd been so close and maybe this time he'd catch Craig, but his ex could easily run, finding a new and more devious way to hide. If he slipped through Grant's fingers this time, he would never find the man.

Grant spied a black car stopping near his hotel. Craig glanced up the street then down before opening the door, sliding into the passenger seat. Grant stepped out of the shop and hailed a taxi, asking to follow the black car Craig had entered. If the black car holding Craig didn't stop soon, his cover would be blown. No way in hell a taxi could follow Craig and not be caught. They'd driven four blocks when the driver pulled a fast one and turned down a narrow alley.

"Hey, where are you going?" Grant complained.

"The blinker, it was on," the cabbie yelled from the front seat.

"Shit," Grant cursed under his breath. They were sure to lose Cra
ig now. Grant needed to come face to face with his ex-partner and hear from his mouth exactly what the fuck was going on. No matter how many feelings he had for Craig still buried under a layer of hurt, he needed to keep the twenty-four children who'd died in central London in the front of his mind. At the next street the cabbie spun his wheel to the left, cutting across traffic. Grant clutched the seat back in front of him and cursed again, up righting himself as they pulled to the light.

"Well hell." Grant ducked his head, hiding from Craig as the black car rolled past. Again they were behind Craig, keeping close as traffic slowed and blocked both lanes.

Craig's alias trail had brought him to Leeds, dropping him in the middle of England, divulging no clues as to what Craig was doing. As Grant had played the roll of bumbling tourist, he'd been watching the building where Craig was supposedly hold up, but it had been a bust. Tonight, he was planning on changing tactics. Of course his plans were crap now since Craig knew where he was. Everything was blown. He'd be lucky to find Craig again if he evaded Grant this time. They all knew how to hide, but Craig would take it to extremes.

The black car pulled to a stop outside an auto parts store. Grant's driver pulled past the store and turned the corner two blocks down, stopping once they were clear from Craig's view. The driver waited, staring in the rearview mirror. The man's eyes were wide and bright, his cheeks pink.

"Do you think he'll circle around?" The cabbie asked, freezing Grant in place.

Grant dropped down to the floor, his heart hammering. "Do you think he saw us?"

"No clue but—wait, here he comes."

  "Act natural," Grant growled.

He waited a few seconds then smiled to himself as the cab took off again. In all of England, he'd found the one cabbie that knew how to follow someone.
