  Thank you to Kris and Doyle, who raised one of the best men I’ve ever met.

  Thank you to all the teachers at Samuel Morgan Elementary, Fairfield Junior High, and Davis High and the professors at the University of Utah who helped make me into the writer, thinker, and person that I am today.

  Thank you to my girlfriends, who inspired the friendship between Jenna, Rosie, Ket, and Elin. They’re kickass girls because you all are kickass women.

  Apologies to Park City, Utah—I played pretty fast and loose with your geography, landmarks, and buildings … but you are a city and you probably don’t mind.

  Finally, thank you especially to Nick, who makes my life immeasurably better every single day. You, Rooster, Spencer, and Scout are all I could ever ask for.
