  “Not at all. I’m one hundred percent serious, Kitten. We can move out west, we can date openly, we don’t even have to tell anyone about the fact that we’re stepsiblings. Or we can if you want. Whatever. It’s up to you. We also don’t have to tell our parents right away if you don’t want.”

  “Wow. This is… amazing,” I finally answered.

  Kaleb was right. We had total and complete freedom now. It was suddenly like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders; a weight I didn’t know I had.

  I loved Kaleb. He loved me. And now, we could be together. We could be as open about our relationship as we wanted. We could wait before telling our parents.

  I figured that was probably the best idea. For now at least.

  But no matter what, it didn’t matter. We could be together. We were going to be together.

  I couldn’t believe it.

  Who would have known that losing my dreams would have led to me finding the man of my dreams?
