“Oh, Nikki, you won’t regret it, little one. You make us complete as well. We can’t live without you, babe.”
Chapter Ten
Nikki met up with Tasha and Beth at Four Passion for their usual Friday night out. She slid into their usual booth near the entry.
“Nikki, how are you doing, girlfriend?” Tasha asked as she leaned over to hug her.
“I’m fine.”
“Did your men tell you that prick, Bob Hackett, has been put away for life? Apparently you’re not the first female he’s stalked but no one was brave enough to come forward. When the news report on him showed on the TV a couple of other women came forward and pressed charges. I am so glad you got away from him, Nikki, because the police found out he killed his last girlfriend.” Beth frowned and shivered.
“Oh my God.” Nikki gasped and felt the color leach from her cheeks as she covered her mouth.
“Now why did you go and tell her that for, Beth?” Noah slid into the booth beside his fiancé. “You are in big trouble, babe.”
“Yeah? Well, in for a penny in for a pound. Fuck you, Noah,” Beth said in a sassy voice and a wiggle of her eyebrows.
“You just have to goad, don’t ya, baby,” Tom, Beth’s other fiancé, said from her side.
“You know well and good if I let you guys get your own way all the time, you’d be bored out of your minds.” Beth gave a sassy smile and winked.
“Now, you know that’s not true, Beth. You just like to goad because of the pleasure you get from your punishments. Don’t ya?” Zach asked lasciviously.
“Shut up, Zach.”
Everyone laughed uproariously as they watched Beth’s face turn several shades of red.
Nikki leaned over the table and whispered in Beth’s ear, “Hey don’t worry about it, Beth, I love it when I get punished, too.”
She gave a yelp as a slap landed on her bum. She jumped back and stumbled into her seat. She turned her head and saw her three men standing around the end of their table and smiled.
“What are you up to, little girl?” Tony asked and he looked a Nikki with so much heat it was a wonder she didn’t burst into flames.
“Just having a drink and chatting with my friends. As if you didn’t know, you big idiot.”
“What did you just call me, Nikki?” Tony looked at her through narrowed eyes.
“You heard me,” Nikki replied with a saucy grin.
Bear moved to kneel up on the seat in the booth behind Nikki, leaned down over the back of the seat, picked her up and swung her up and over until she was in the booth behind, with him.
“Brandon, put me down you’re making a scene.” Nikki yelped as she landed on his lap sideways so she didn’t bump into the table and hurt herself. She loved that about her men. They were always looking out for her.
“Okay, baby,” Bear replied with a grin, then placed a quick kiss on her lips.
“Hey, sis, how are you?” Nikki heard Tasha ask her sister Antonia as she walked in with her two men, Jack and Ben.
“Good, Tasha. Where are your two men?” Toni asked.
“We’re right here, sugar,” Jason and Sean replied from behind Toni.
“Oh well, hi, guys, how’s the warehouse business?” Toni asked.
“Booming,” replied Jason.
Nikki smiled and watched everyone chatting. The people involved in the polyandrous relationships in Passion had all become very close friends. You could often find them laughing it up at the new gym and bar called Four Passion, which had been started by the men involved in the first ménage relationship in Passion, Victoria, Australia. The Ramsay brothers and their woman, Simone, from the Triple R farm hadn’t known how the town would conceive of their unusual relationship, but Nikki was so glad they had thumbed their noses at convention and grabbed hold of what they wanted.
It was thought by most people in Passion that the men ruled the roost in their relationships as they were often seen laying down the law to their women. Little did they know it was the other way around.
Simone Ramsay and her husbands walked in the door to the bar and scanned the raucous crowd with a smile. Life had never been better. Nikki watched all the happy women goad their men and then turned as Simone walked over to the small stage where a band was playing lively music. The music stopped as Simone had a word with the bandleader and he handed his microphone over to her.
“I’m so happy I’m not the only female in this little town in a ménage relationship. It takes the scrutiny of the media off just me and my men, thank God. You ladies are doing a great job of keeping your men in line. I love to see the men of this town being led around by their small heads. Little do they know, we goad them into chasing after us because we love our men more than life itself.”
All the women laughed and gave her the thumbs up sign and Simone’s men glared at her, but when Nikki looked closely she could see the amusement in their eyes. A few of the men wolf whistled.
“You girls rock! Oh by the way, next week we are having a party here in celebration for our first anniversary." Simone blew a kiss at her men. “You’re all invited.”
Everyone cheered.
Then Simone looked right at Connor and smirked. “Connor, bite me.” Simone giggled, threw the microphone back to the bandleader and took off running. Connor was close on her heels with a big smile on his face.
Nikki, Toni, Tasha, and Beth all secretly smiled to each other then burst out laughing. Their lives were just beginning in the small town of Passion and they were all having the time of their lives.
Someone needed to do something about getting a woman for Alec and Duncan McLeod, though. Even though they were smiling and laughing along with everyone else, Nikki as well as her friends couldn’t but help see the loneliness and envy on the two men’s faces when they looked at their happy male friends.
Tasha collared Nikki and whispered in her ear. “Hey, Nikki, do remember the name of the local female real estate agent in town?”
“Yeah I do,” Nikki replied, a smile slowly forming on her face as she saw the direction of Tasha’s glance. She was looking at Alec and Duncan McLeod.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
My name is Becca Van. I live in Australia with my wonderful hubby of many years, as well as my two children.
I read my first romance, which I found in the school library, at the age of thirteen and haven’t stopped reading them since. It is so wonderful to know that love is still alive and strong when there seems to be so much conflict in the world.
I dreamed of writing my own book one day, but unfortunately, didn’t follow my dream for many years. But once I started I knew writing was what I wanted to continue doing.
I love to escape from the world and curl up with a good romance, to see how the characters unfold and conflict is dealt with. I have read many books and love all facets of the romance genre, from historical to erotic romance. I am a sucker for a happy ending.
