  “Of course I’m happy!” He jumped up and threw his arms around me. “Sweetheart, I couldn’t be happier” he assured me. Kissing me passionately and completely forgetting about all the onlookers.

  I broke away laughing and he turned to the waiter who was coming over to take our order.

  “I’m going to be a dad again!” he announced loudly.

  The waiter smiled, bemused. The group at the next table heard him and broke into spontaneous applause. Overwhelmed with happiness, tears of joy filled my eyes as Scott pulled me into his arms again. “I love you,” he murmured into my hair, his voice full of emotion.

  I laid my head on his strong, hard chest, feeling a wave of gratitude for this man and the joy he had brought into my life.

  “I love you too,” I told him, gazing deep into his eyes. The future had never looked so sweet...
