  Chapter Twenty-Eight

Jerren and Eneria lay in bed a bit out of breath, and Jerren smiled at Eneria then said, “I do believe you’re going to kill me with all of this love play… but what a way to go,” Jerren ended his statement with a winded laugh.

Eneria ran her hands along Jerren’s glistening skin and chuckled, “These feelings are so nice, it is enough to make me forget the horrors I witnessed.”

Jerren grinned and pulled her into a tight embrace, “I think we should give you more of those feelings then. What do you think?”

Eneria’s answer was to roll him over, stretch him out and give him gooseflesh as she fluttered light kisses all over his body. Apparently he couldn’t bear it a moment longer because Jerren rolled her over and repeatedly brought forth her pleasure.

An hour later Jerren was caressing Eneria’s backside while she lay contentedly on her belly and Jerren said, “I would like you to consider training all of us in the martial arts. I thought my skills were halfway decent, but they’re not even close to yours.”

Eneria rolled to her side and smiled at him, “It would be my pleasure. I have never been an instructor before, so it will be a learning experience for everyone.”

Jerren got a concerned look and asked, “Were you worried about fighting Anubisis? He was a lot larger than you.”

Eneria smiled and said, “Gradito illi sunt durius illi ruina.”

Jerren laughed and said, “We have a similar saying on Earth, “the bigger they are the harder they fall.”

Eneria’s expression turned serious and she stated, “You must always be cautious when facing an opponent. You will never know the full extent of their training, but in allowing worry or doubt to cloud your mind, it can cause your defeat before the battle begins.”

Jerren seemed to think over her statement a moment then said, “I saw how well Anubisis fought against me, and you were more than up for the challenge,” He fought it a moment but had to ask, “If he was trained by Flintis the same as you, how is it you were able to defeat him so easily?”

Eneria sighed, “Flintis was a tenth degree Grand Master in thirty-six different forms of what you call ‘Martial arts’. He would only take on one student at a time and would usually not take another until the last had died. When Flintis decided to take on a new student, he would use the first five years of strength and agility training to study his pupil. At the end of that training period, he would choose one and only one ‘Martial’ form for that student.

“Flintis had undergone the chlorophyll procedure and outlived many thousands of students. I was different however, it took almost three hundred years before he approached and offered to train me.

“I think he finally had enough of shadow fighting. Anyway he trained me and after a hundred years he decided to teach me another form. Within the first ten thousand years that he was the commander, he had trained me in all thirty martial forms, and that would be how. My training was more in-depth than Anubisis’s.”

Eneria paused a moment then continued, “The first lesson Flintis taught me, was ‘Never enter into a fight unless you are willing to kill your opponent, or die trying. And with that in mind only kill as a last resort’.”

Jerren looked at her with admiration and asked, “Are you a Grand Master?”

Eneria chuckled, “I would never presume to think I am even half as skilled as Flintis was. Flintis was wise beyond his years, which is saying something considering he was a little over four hundred and eight thousand nonlinear years old when he died.”

Jerren reached over and caressed her cheek as he asked, “I don’t intend to sound insensitive, but why did you allow Enyali to abuse and kill you all those times?”

“My programming,” Was all Eneria said.

Jerren nodded in understanding and pulled her into a tight embrace, “Would you find it strange to know that I’m oddly aroused by the thought that you could kick my ass, and I don’t feel like less of a man about it?”

“No, and I think I have just discovered another use for these skills,” Eneria cracked a sinister grin and within seconds Jerren found himself on his back with her straddling him, and she said, “I believe we should begin your training right now?” and she brought her lips to his in a very aggressive display of sexual prowess.

  Chapter Twenty-Nine

Jerren and Eneria kept themselves quite busy over the next several days, and between exploring their desire for one another and meetings with his brothers and sisters, the travel time seemed to fly past.

The ships were a few hours out from the planet Daregon, and the probe Jerren had launched two days earlier was now in orbit of the planet. Jerren scanned the area and was happy to find that there were no consortium vessels or bombs present. He was about to call over to inform Jason that it was all clear when Inola’s excessively weakened voice sounded in his head and said only three words, “Operation Long Fall.” A bit startled, Jerren hopped in his seat.

Eneria looked at him and asked, “What is ‘Operation Long Fall’?”

Jerren’s heart was pounding rapidly and he told Eneria, “It was a mission I was on while I was in the military. One second,” Jerren opened the communications with his brothers, “Jason, Justin can you hear me?”

Jason was first to answer, “Yes, did you check Daregon out?”

“Yes, it’s okay, but that’s not why I’m calling. Did you just hear Inola a moment ago?” Jerren asked.

Jason and Justin both replied that they hadn’t and wanted to know why, so Jerren said, “I just heard her voice she said ‘Operation Long Fall’. I need to head back to Earth now. Terrah’s ship is going to drop out of phase as soon as I leave formation. I’ll come over and explain as soon as I change course.”

Jason said, “Okay, I’ll let Terrah know. We’re only a few hours out of Daregon anyway. And with TDS 1 and TDS 3 on overwatch TDS 4 should be safe.”

Jerren changed their ships heading and time jumped. Then he stood up and took Eneria’s hand, “Let’s go over so I can explain what I know.”

  *****

Jerren and Eneria arrived on TDS 1 to find Jason and Justin already waiting for them. Looking around Jerren asked, “Where are the girls?”

Jason said, “Alise and Calia are over on TDS 3 with our sisters. They said to call them over if we needed them.”

They all took their seats; Jerren nodded and said, “You can relay this information, I don’t know much at the moment anyway.”

“What’s Operation Long Fall?” Jason asked sounding a bit concerned.

“It was the name of the mission I was on when I went to Nepal. I don’t know why she wants me back there, but I guess I’ll find out when I get back to Earth.”

Jerren explained in detail this time what had happened on the mission.

When Jerren got to the end, Justin’s brows furrowed, “You said the alien vanished off of the gurney right in front of you correct?”

Jerren nodded and said, “Yes. I know what you’re thinking because I’m thinking it too. Inola must want me to be the one to save him? This nonlinear time thing is bizarre. I’ve a probe at Earth that I sent out when we left, when I get closer I’ll access it and see what’s up.”

Jason looked oddly at Jerren and said, “Alise launched a probe before we left, but something went wrong with it, and we forgot to tell you. Why did you launch a probe?”

Jerren considered what to tell Jason and Justin for a moment, then said, “After we saved the soldiers from Area 51, I sent them back to the surface, well most of them. I kept Pops and that spook, Mister Smith. Anyway just before we took off for Daregon, I probed Smith’s mind. What I saw did not bode well for anyone on Earth.”

Inola didn’t want Jerren to tell anyone who Smith is or interfere with the events in Colorado Springs, so he focused on Smiths actions, and the ramifications for their family. Being vague about Smith, Jerren stated. “Apparently Smith is a member of a secret society that has been controlling world events for thousands of year
s, and he was heading up a doomsday commission for them. Over the last thirty years or so the US government and a few of their allies have been building special bunkers around the world.

“The commissions latest plan was to use foreign made nukes to destabilize certain regions, and when the analysis of the blast would come back it would be determined anyone but they had perpetrated the atrocities. I saw in Smiths memories where they had stored the nukes and I dematerialized them then launched the probe to make sure everything was okay. But we had to leave before I could get the probe in motion.” Jerren looked around to see if they had any questions.

Jason looked like he wanted to kill someone again and he asked, “The nuke I was sent in for?”

Jerren nodded and said, “That was the first one I got,” Jerren teetered on telling them the next then just said it, “That’s not the only plot the commission had in the works. The commission knew the population of Earth was about to exceed the planetary threshold, and their prior attempts to cull the heard as it were had failed.

“The commission is right about the population of the planet, but their methods of thinning the population, and their selection of who will survive vexed me.”

Jason put his head in his hands and said, “There goes the plan of putting our family back on Earth right away. I take it the survivor lists are comprised of the upper crust and influential?”

Jerren sighed and nodded, “Yes, I saw images in Smith’s mind of a few of the bunkers they have built and they’re loaded with enough food and supplies to last decades if they had to. It always bothered me about how fast the national debt was rising, and the government didn’t seem to care, and after seeing what’s in Smiths head, I now know the government has been infiltrated at the highest levels by their society, and they have been redirecting cash to make all of the doomsday bunkers.”

“Is Smith still over on your ship?” Jason asked sounding hopeful.

Jerren wished he could have given Jason the full of it, but for some reason Inola needed it a secret, so he said. “I’m sorry to disappoint you but no, after I saw what he was responsible for and what their schemes were, I transported him back to Area 51.”

Jerren could see Jason was about to lose his temper and in an attempt to placate Jason, Jerren added, “I didn’t want to bring him with us, or even have him on my ship for that matter, so I transported him to the lowest possible survivable pocket and left him there. If we need to get any more information out of him, we will have a good week or two window to pull him out before any rescue teams could make it to him.

“I felt he needed to feel the despair of possible death, who knows it may humanize him… I doubt it though. After I see what’s in store for Earth, we can decide on what course of action we will take…if any.” Not that Jerren thought Inola was going to allow any interference on their part.

That seemed to mollify Jason a bit, because he nodded then said. “After we get Terrah’s ship charged and in working order we will set up a meeting to organize our mission lists. Then we can let Saleria in on our thoughts.”

Jerren stood with a chuckle, nodded and said, “That sounds good, TDS 4 should be fully charged in fourteen to sixteen hours from now, and once we’re in range of our probe, and have the specifics of what we’re doing for that mission, we will contact the rest of you. That should give Terrah plenty of time to straighten out her ship. Call if you need us.” Then Jerren took Eneria’s hand in his and led her back to their ship.

  Chapter Thirty

Upon reentering TDS 5, Eneria turned and asked. “What did Jason mean by ‘let Saleria in on your thoughts’?”

Jerren smirked and said, “Didn’t you find it odd that her name is Saleria and the planet we think TDS 2 is at, used to be called Saleria? And TDS 4 was lost on Terra, and Terrah is the commander? I for one don’t think it’s a coincidence, and neither do my brothers.”

Eneria thought about it, then let out a hearty laugh and said, “I never drew the correlation until you just said that, but you are probably correct. There are quite literally hundreds of trillions of planets and the odds of them being named after those particular planets are quite astronomical,” Eneria laughed at her own joke.

Jerren chuckled and said, “We seem to be opening our minds to these possibilities, and seeing as how Inola is driving us on this journey, I’m not going to overlook anything that comes our way.”

  *****

The hours seemed to fly past and before Eneria knew it Jerren was calling over to his brother’s.

“We’ll be in range of our probe in a few minutes. How’d it go with Terrah’s ship?”

Jason’s voice sounded frustrated as he replied, “Not too well. The ship is recharged, but it’s not responding normally. We’re still unable to activate the AI and for some reason the ship won’t allow us to activate an older version. And the ship won’t allow us to reset for the new commander either. So we’re moving the mess to the void storage manually.

“We have the control room and most of the second level cleared now, but it’s been an arduous task. We made a path to the void storage archway here on TDS 4, so now we don’t have to trudge the items through the master control room to our ships in order to send them to the void storage.

“Now I’m sorry I laughed at Justin for moving the crap around his ship manually, karma’s a bitch. On a lighter note however, it would seem we share our disdain for clutter with our sisters.” Jason let out a laugh.

Jerren chuckled then said, “You should’ve called over, we would have helped.”

Jason could be heard sighing, “No, Inola has you on a task. We’ll be fine, just let us know if you need anything.”

“Alright, be safe. You remember what happened to Justin with the clutter on his ship.” Jerren said with a grin.

Eneria heard Jason chuckle as Jerren cut the communications.

Jerren peered over at Eneria and said, “It looks like it’s just you and me on this one,” then Jerren glided his seat over to the science console and sent his probe in to motion.

Eneria was amazed at how easily Jerren took to running the ship. In the past, prior untrained commanders would take decades to be as at ease as Jerren appeared to be. She watched as a few minutes later Jerren acquired himself in the past then locked the probe on to his own genetics and followed his movements.

Jerren let out a throaty chuckle and then said, “This should be interesting, you’ll get to see me perform one of my earliest and highest HALO jumps.”

Eneria moved her seat to be right next to Jerren’s, watched as he adjusted the dilation, and made the events unfold faster as he and a group of men boarded a plane, a moment later the scene went on fast forward, and before long Jerren told her to watch closely as events slowed to normal speed.

Eneria watched and was shocked at what Jerren was doing. He had told her what he did in the military, but seeing it brought it to life. The plane Jerren was in was cruising at sixty-two thousand feet. A red light had activated and Jerren’s team put on their helmets and masks then once the all clear was given, the pilot depressurized the plane, and the back of the plane opened.

Jerren was calling out commands, and once the green light was activated, Jerren walked to the back of the plane and dove off. Jerren was immediately followed by the six other members of his team. Aside from the helmets they were wearing, they had on sleek black bodysuits, and a few seconds after they had cleared the plane they lined up in formation, and extended their arms and feet which made them appear to have wings. Their rate of descent decreased slightly and their forward momentum increased significantly.

Eneria was astounded at the precision flying they were doing. They glided for a little over two minutes then one by one they deployed their parachutes.

Eneria could feel Jerren’s excitement at reviewing the events, and she was in awe of Jerren’s performance, she watched as Jerren assessed the crash victims then stopped the one alien’s wounds from bleeding and secured him to a board of sorts. A moment late
r a different flying craft arrived and all seven members of the team and the alien Jerren had rescued were hurried aboard.

Eneria wondered about the crashed ship and asked, ‘Can you scan the ship for me before it is out of range?” Jerren did and a moment later Eneria saw the ship explode in a fireball, “Why did the ship explode?”

Jerren seemed to assess the situation, then he replied, “The Seal team were under orders to retrieve something from the ship, then demo it before the Chinese could make it to the site. My job was to guide the team to the target and secure any survivors. There was only one that I could save… What!”

Eneria had been looking at him when he said that, and looking back to the display, she asked, “What?” in turn.

Jerren looked confused as he said, “I did the scan as you asked. When I arrived at the scene there had been three Aliens in the ship, two of them were too tied up in the wreckage and were almost dead, and I could only retrieve the one. What I just saw on the scan was… I think we pull them out of there. The aliens were in the ship one moment, and then they were gone right before the explosion.”

Eneria brought up the scan and examined it, “You are right, they were definitely not in the ship just before it exploded. You need to accelerate the events to when you arrive at Area 51.”

Jerren did it, and within a minute of arriving on the base, He slowed the events to a crawl. Eneria watched closely as the team along with the alien were escorted out of the Jet and hurried into the building. Eneria adjusted the probes positioning and brought it in for a closer inspection, then performed an active scan as the scene progressed, and a moment later she watched as the doors closed on the elevator.

Jerren said, “It will happen in a couple of seconds.”

Sure enough the Alien vanished from the gurney, and the piece of the ships wreckage disappeared off of the cart at the same time.
