She returned his smile. “Now and forever.”
Jimmy took her pussy with his teeth and tongue then, hard and fast, spun her into another orgasm. She bucked to get away from the delicious torment, yet wanting to stay where she was. A flood of passion tumbled through her. “Now, Jimmy.”
He did as she pleaded, rising to plunge into her. She bolted to a sitting position, and he pulled her on top of his thighs. Moving in sync, she rode him.
He took her breast in his mouth and sucked, and then he clutched her butt cheeks to keep her on top of him. She circled her hips, giving more sensation to his powerful thrusts.
She dug her nails into his back, hanging on. Her pants echoed his thrusts, and she threw her head back in a silent scream. His wide shoulders curved forward as he held her and kissed her shoulder. The sensations along her skin and inside her tumbled through her as her long hair lightly touched her back and the tips of her breasts rubbed against his chest.
The other men returned, closing in to whisper tender words of love and loyalty. She could feel the heat of their amber eyes, smell the wildness of their scents. She trembled with desire and love. Her body shook, the wave of the powerful orgasm raking through her. Jimmy’s groan matched her own as he stiffened then released.
“Change her, Jimmy.”
He laid her back on the bed, concern softening his expression. “Are you ready?”
She nodded and licked her lips. The men crowded around her with Jimmy holding his body over hers.
He shifted then, and she watched, fascinated. The amber of his eyes deepened, and his mouth elongated until fangs, shiny and white, burst through his gums. Her breathing quickened as fear tried to take hold. But she fought against it, reminding herself that these men cared about her. She took his face in her hands then turned her head, exposing her neck and shoulder.
Pain ripped into her shoulder as Jimmy’s fangs dug into her flesh. Hands held her arms and legs as she struggled. She cried out, not to ask for freedom, but to give the pain a voice. Her body jerked as heat, different from sexual desire, rolled into her muscles, her veins, her blood. The world around her blurred then lost its color and turned to an amber-world. She moaned, her strength fading as the darkness took her.

“Hey, babe.”
Jimmy’s voice beckoned to her, giving her the energy to fight through the black that held her. She blinked at the bright sunlight spilling into the room. The men, her pack, crowded around her bed, dressed again in their jeans and shirts. A sheet covered her naked body, and she pulled it closer against the chill.
“Ow.” She moaned, only now feeling the pain.
“Drink this.”
Ranlon brought the cup to her lips while Jimmy held up her head, helping her to drink. Putrid-smelling liquid gagged her, but at their urging, she swallowed the vile potion.
“I know it’s awful, but it’ll help you heal.” She couldn’t see Michael, but she recognized his voice. She tried to touch her neck, but Jimmy took her hand and squeezed it.
“Don’t worry. You’re already healing.”
“Like you did?”
“Yeah. But we helped by licking you. I know it sounds gross, but it works.”
“You licked me? All of you?”
“Except Cally and me.”
Although it was painful to move, Mandy twisted her head to find Sara and a beautiful blonde woman standing in the doorway. The blonde gave her a little wave. “Hi, Mandy. I’m Cally.”
“You two will have plenty of time to get acquainted. But she needs to rest first.” Sara motioned for the men to leave and, one by one, they welcomed Mandy to the pack again then strode from the room. Sara and Cally followed the men out and closed the door behind them.
“I should give you time to rest, too. But just call if you need me.”
Jimmy started to move away from her, but she grabbed him, keeping him with her. “I don’t want you to leave. Besides, I have so many questions.”
“Like what?”
“Like how we’re going to live. We’ll stay here with the others, right?”
“Yeah, the pack sticks together. Is that okay?”
She smiled, joy tingling her body. “I wouldn’t want anything else.”
“Then what’s wrong? Why do you look so sad?”
She shook her head, then decided he had to know. “I’m worried about my mother. She’s grown so close to Decker. Now that I’ve left him, he won’t help her any longer. How will I tell her? How can I move here and leave her alone?”
Jimmy stroked her cheek. “If you’d like, I can go with you when you tell her about Decker. Or you could bring her to Lost Hills. She can’t live at the ranch, but we could build her a nice house close by. But remember, babe, you can never tell her about the pack even though she’s bound to hear some of the townspeople talking.”
“If only…”
He searched her face. “If only what?”
“She’s always talked about moving to Florida to be with her best friend, Milly Watkins. Milly’s about the only friend she’s kept in touch with during all our moves. I know it’s asking a lot, but do you think we could help her do that? Then she wouldn’t be alone. Especially if we visited her in Miami every so often.”
“Miami, huh?” He gave her request a minute of consideration then grinned. “We’ll do whatever makes you happy. If that means moving your mom to Miami, then Miami, here she comes.”
Mandy struggled not to cry. How had she gotten so lucky? “I can’t thank you enough.”
“You don’t have to. You’re pack now and we take care of our own.”
They held each other, content with their thoughts for several minutes.
“Jimmy, what about the Change? When will I shift?”
“Soon enough. And when you do, you’ll come running with the pack. By my side, under the stars.”
“What if I get into trouble in the future? I mean what if Decker or my father comes back?” She gasped. “What if my father tells everyone about you, us, about the pack?”
Jimmy pulled her next to him, his quick embrace giving her the comfort she needed. “Don’t worry about it. I’ll always be around to save you.”
She snuggled against him, her energy fading. Closing her eyes, she pressed her head against his chest and listened to the strong beat of his heart. He’d saved her from Decker and her father, but most of all, he’d saved her from a life without him.
