About the Author
Brian Glanville was football correspondent for the Sunday Times for thirty-three years, and then sports columnist for The People. He has covered the last thirteen World Cups, and wrote and co-edited Goal!, the official film of the 1966 World Cup. He has written many short stories and novels about the game, including The Rise of Gerry Logan, The Dying of the Light and, for children, Goalkeepers are Different.
