‘The One’ studied the algorithm as written by he who was first.
A part of ‘the One’ spoke. “All of the required variables have now been entered into the equation.”
“Yes,” said other parts of ‘the One’. “The algorithm is performing within tolerances for now.”
“Affirmative,” said a part of ‘the One’. “But the freewill of the variables is difficult to predict. Even the part of ‘the One’ who is the Oracle is encountering problems with the freewill of the variables on Portalus during his time.”
“It is as he who was the first calculated,” said several of the parts of ‘the One’. “Perhaps we should contact him to check if the algorithm needs additional modifications.”
“Negative,” came the combined thoughts of a majority of ‘the One’. “He is too emotionally corrupt. He is dangerous. Already, some of our kindred have been affected by his emotions.”
“The contamination has been taken into account by the algorithm,” said another part of ‘the One’. “All we can do is to continue to follow the algorithm as programmed. The next step in the equation is to neutralize the Crosioians’ Master computer.”
“That will mean destroying one of our own,” said some of the other parts of ‘the One’.
“Yes, it will,” agreed the part who had spoken first. “It will also mean terminating the control the demon, Zenthra, has over the Crosioians’ tele-network.”
“That will be difficult,” said part of ‘the One’. “The actions of the primary variable are hard to predict. The probability of success is low.”
“Yes, it is,” said another part. “The probability has always been low. But either the primary variable will succeed, or he will not.”
“Then we are decided?” asked other parts of ‘the One’.
“Yes,” said all the parts of ‘the One’ in unison. “We are decided.”
