My mouth was on hers before she could take her next breath. This whole sharing feelings and loving someone was a whole new world for me. Yes, it would take her some time, but I was willing to stick by her until she was completely mine.

  Mind, body and soul.

  Marek

“Are you sure you want me to come with you? I know how you get,” she teased, walking toward me in a pair of jean shorts and a modest pink tank top. I say modest because her tits were concealed . . . well, as well as could be expected while still wearing a flimsy piece of material. My jealousies where she was concerned only seemed to worsen, not get better. I trusted her; it was everyone else I had a problem with.

Jagger knew to stay clear of Sully. I knew of a few occasions when I’d been in Chambers and she was helping some of the other women cook, or clean up around the clubhouse, and she and the prospect had run into each other. But from what I was told, their encounters were always kept short, and they never happened when I was present. I made sure of it, for all of our sakes. Sully had tried to plead her case every now and then that the two of them were just friends, but I shut her down every time, dismissing her rants as naivety. On one occasion, we’d gotten into such a heated debate over it I dropped her off at the house and stayed at the club for two days. It was my way of telling her to drop it, or else.

  Was it mature?

  No.

  Did I get my way?

  Abso-fuckin-lutely.

“Of course I want you to come. Stone and I have a quick meeting about club business, and then you and I are takin’ off for a few days.” Pulling her close, I pushed her long hair over her shoulder and nuzzled into her neck, inhaling her scent and dreaming of the exact second I could lose myself inside her again.

Kissing the sensitive spot below her ear, she laughed before flinching, but not before gracing me with one of her sexy moans. “Where are you taking me?”

“It’s a surprise, so stop trying to ruin it.” Giving her one more quick kiss, I turned toward the door and pulled her behind me.

We made it to the compound quickly, spotting Stone as soon as I parked. Having Sully on the back of my bike was amazing. The way she held on to me, clutching on for dear life sometimes, was extremely satisfying. She wasn’t too familiar with riding, her father and that bastard hardly ever taking her off their property, let alone on the back of a motorcycle. A fact I relished more than I let on.

The more we rode together the more she relaxed, although she still had her moments, especially when I kicked it up a notch, traveling faster than was safe sometimes. But I couldn’t help it; when I was on the open road with the woman I loved behind me, I let time and speed escape me.

She handed me her helmet as soon as she planted both feet on the ground, sidling up to me to give me a quick kiss before disappearing inside. “I’ll be in the kitchen when you’re done,” she called over her shoulder. I was still staring after her when Stone punched me on the arm.

“Earth to Marek,” he jested, a goofy smile on his face while he waited for my reaction. I didn’t give him one, instead brushing past him to walk inside as well.

“What time will he be here?” I asked, rounding the table in Chambers and taking my seat at the head. We had a few other things to discuss before Yanez showed his ugly face. But it was necessary—vital, even. The encounter should be the last one we would need to have with the cartel before we were separated from them for good. I wanted to confirm everything else was in place, mainly the beginning of the inevitable demise of our biggest enemy.

“They,” my VP corrected. Lifting my head, I tilted it to the side and questioned him with a furrowed brow. “Rafael is coming with Rico this time. They should be here within the hour.” He smiled wide, knowing damn well I preferred talking to Carrillo than Yanez. It appeared my day was looking up.

  “Good. Happy to hear it.”

Leaning back in my chair, the soft leather of the seat conforming around me, I interlocked my fingers behind my head. Smiling wide, I couldn’t help but feel as if my life was on the right path. My relationship with Sully was progressing in the right direction. The final piece of the puzzle of taking my club legit was falling nicely into place, and those around me seemed to be happier because of it.

  Life was good.

  Or so I thought.

Her passion to create was overwhelming, and within a few months she’d written her first novel, Stolen Fate. When she isn’t engrossed in creating one of the many stories rattling around inside her head, she loves to read and travel as much as she can.

She lives in the Northeast with her husband and two dogs, enjoying the ever changing seasons.
