“I’m going to fuck you here, Luna. I want to make you my mate. This is the Insedi way. Here I come, baby.”

  Chapter 36

Cato braced his knee on top of the mattress, pulled from her pussy, slid upward through her juices, and slipped just the head into her ass. His body shuddered as her muscles constricted the sensitive flesh. He paused as she wiggled and adjusted to the sensation.

  “You okay, baby?”

“Yes. It’s okay. Take me, Cato. I want to be yours,” she whispered.

He rose up and squirted more lube on his shaft. He threw the tube aside and braced both hands on her quivering hips. He slid further inside and hit the tightest of the muscles. She arched and whimpered in distress. He lowered himself across her back and panted. His voice was almost gone.

“Relax for me, baby. Let me in. I won’t hurt you. Open your mind and let your energy come to me. I’ll meet you there.” He withdrew a few inches and slowly slid back in. He continued the gentle push and retreat as he spoke softly to her. He reached around and began stroking her clit to the rhythm he set. She moaned into the mattress.

“That’s a good girl. I feel you loosening. Accept me, Angeli. Make me yours. It feels so good to be inside you.”

They both cried out as a wash of energy erupted from their core and clashed in the air around them. She melted around him and Cato slid fully inside of her. They both groaned at the exquisite pleasure of their flesh sliding together in the most intimate way possible. She arched her spine and pushed back against him.

“Take me, Cato. I want you. It feels so good.”

He groaned and began a sensual slip and slide in and out of her tight body. He opened his eyes when she cried out in surprise.

“Oh, god! Look, Cato. It’s beautiful.”

He was mesmerized by their energy mingling in colors of blue, maroon, green, and gold. They both gasped when a separate turquoise-and-purple energy field rose from the mattress and wrapped around theirs. It was Insedivertus coming to witness the bonding. Cato moved faster against her and they watched in awe as their world knit their energy together. Fire rocketed across his flesh and he felt his sac tighten painfully against his body as Insedivertus pushed the newly formed energy back into their bodies.

Cato felt Luna’s orgasm hit at the exact moment as his. Cum rocketed from his balls and coated her insides. Over and over his cock kicked inside her. He knew she experienced the same euphoric, yet violent, eruption at the same time he felt her muscles locking hard against his flesh. He could do nothing except twist in agonized bliss as she milked everything he had from his body.

Insedivertus wrapped its energy field around them and sent ancient, seeking fingers into their skin, muscles, and bone. Feelings of acceptance and joy inundated their senses before it backed away and left them in peace to experience the remainder of their mating.

Cato lay limp across her back and tried to keep his knees from buckling as he drifted down from the mind blowing experience. He pulled gently out of her body and barely rolled away from her before he crashed to the mattress. He finally willed his body to flop to his back before his limbs became numb. He knew that he was about to become comatose as his core identified and catalogued their shared essence. Severus had warned him this would happen.

“Baby. Help me,” he gasped. He felt her cool palm brush across his forehead as she cooed to him.

“I know, baby. I know. Lina told me. I’ll help you. Lie still. I love you, Cato.”

“Love you…love you,” he mumbled. He fought to stay lucid, but lost. He sensed his head lifting and cool water passing over his parched tongue. He wanted to curl up into a ball as something warm passed over his genitals and coolness caressed his brow. He reached out and found the flesh of his mate and pulled her tight against his body. “Stay with me. Don’t leave. Rest. We need to rest.” He buried his fists into her silky hair. Soft lips pressing to his chest was the last thing he would remember of this special night.

  * * * *

Cato opened his eyes and blinked up at the ceiling, musing at the strange patterns the morning light was throwing across the room. He realized he was sprawled out on his bed, arms and legs splayed wide and feeling like he was a god. Fuck! He felt fantastic. His energy hummed at a pace he’d never felt before. He felt strong and invincible. His cock bounced on his belly and he chuckled. The bastard was going to be difficult to live with. He swiveled his head to the left when he felt fingers tangle with his. He smiled.

Luna was looking at him and grinning. She was in the same position he was and he let his eyes drift down her body. Her nipples were pointing to the ceiling and he was disappointed to see the sheet draped across her hips. His cock kicked again in high expectation of a morning round with the love of his life. “Hello, beautiful.”

Her grin stayed in place, yet he saw the warning in her gorgeous blue eyes. “Nope. Don’t even think about it. I barely made it into the bathroom and back to the bed. Give a girl a break and put that weapon away.”

He chuckled, rolled to his side, and slipped the sheet over his hips. He ran his palm across her outstretched arm. “Maybe if he can’t see you, he’ll calm down.”

Luna giggled and rolled toward him. He reached out and pulled her flush against his body and inhaled the luscious lavender and citrus scent wafting across his senses. His treacherous dick wasn’t fooled. It knew she was still here and jumped against her thigh. She rolled her eyes and kissed his chest.

“Tell it to behave and I’ll make it up to him later.”

  He kissed her hair. “Deal.”

She slid her hand up his stomach to his chest and he growled. “You’re not helping your argument, Angeli. I’m trying to behave myself.”

When she didn’t respond, he pulled his head back. She was holding the mating tooth in her palm and her mouth was open.

“It’s glowing. Cassie told me that it would glow, but it didn’t seem real to me until just now. It’s beautiful.” Her eyes slid up to his and he felt something shift inside his chest. To know his mate was enthralled at how he displayed his love for her to the world just did something to him. He thought it impossible that he could have loved her even more. He was coming to a full understanding of how his father had snapped and became a shell of himself when his mate had passed. Cato felt sweat break out on his back at how close he’d come to losing this precious woman. He wrapped his hand around hers. He knew his voice was shaking, but he didn’t care.

“I love you so much, Luna. I will always wear the tooth outside of my shirt. My chest will be puffed out as I proudly show the world that the beautiful creature attached to my side has chosen me.”

She gazed up at him with such love, his chest actually hurt.

“Damn, storyteller. What are you doing to me? I can’t breathe. I love you, too.”

  Cato’s eyes widened. “You remember?”

  She nodded. “Yes. Everything.”

  “When?”

She rubbed his arm and squeezed. “As soon as that beautiful energy from this fantastic planet wrapped itself around us, it felt like it unlocked that part of my mind. I remember stumbling through the mist and seeing you. I thought you were the most beautiful apparition I could ever conjure.” She grinned, tweaked his nipple, and waggled her eyebrows. “And I definitely remember how damn sexy you were when you started stripping for me. I still think you should get up on the stage at Heat Seekers and let me stuff dollars in your shorts.”

Cato tilted his head back and laughed. “Ah, sweetness. I’ll do anything for you, but I’ll only strip for you. Wouldn’t you be jealous if all those other women saw me?” She gifted him with a precious smile.

“I’d walk around with my chest puffed out and would proudly show those bitches that the gorgeous creature up on the stage was mine the whole time after they see you walk out the door with me.”

Cato leaned forward and kissed her soft lips.

“Ah, baby. You say the sweetest things.”

  Luna’s stomach gro
wled and she buried her face into his chest. “Well, isn’t that just sexy. I’m starving, now. See what you did to me?”

He laughed and nuzzled her hair. “Let’s grab a shower and we’ll go find some breakfast. I promise I’ll just touch you a lot and list all the things I’m going to do to you later if you take one with me.”

She smiled and opened her lips to respond, but he placed a finger against her mouth.

“Hold up. Kallon’s knocking.” She frowned.

  “I didn’t hear anything.”

He tapped his temple. “Nope. Here.”

She nodded and her eyes widened.

Cato released his barriers and let Kallon in.

  Morning, doc.

Morning. I’m assuming you have a new mate lying next to you, so I’ll try to be quick. Get her to join our link and I can tell you both.

  Okay.

Cato looked down into her expectant eyes. “Kallon has news for us. Do you think you can open your mind and join in the conversation? I’ll help you through it.”

She nodded. “Just tell me how.”

Visualize strong walls surrounding your thoughts. You want to lower them a bit, like you’re opening a window and looking out. Picture me standing outside your open window. Tell me hello.”

  Luna shrugged. “Okay. I’ll try.”

Cato saw her gaze shift and she was internalizing her thoughts. After several tense seconds, he heard her in his mind. He grinned at her.

“Good, baby. I can hear you. I’m going to respond back.”

Hey, sweetness. Can you hear me?

He saw her eyes widen and the grin splashed back across her face.

Yes. I can hear you. This is amazing.

  Hello, Luna.

  Hey, Kallon.

You know, I always knew I liked you. Even when you were passed out.

Luna laughed. I like you, too.

Well, now you’re required to like me. You have no choice.

  How’s that?

  Because we’re related.

Cato watched as Luna’s lips parted on a gasp, yet she spoke in his mind.

  What? We’re related?

Yes, sweetness. You’re from the Aceso DNA strain. You’re going to be an extremely loved and cherished member of our family. We’ve always mourned the loss of Diomed Aceso. He was the only Seeker that was born into our family. He was young when he was lost to us. He’d journeyed to Earth with ninety-nine others to study and bring back knowledge to Insedivertus. To know that he survived and mated will bring hope to many. There has to be more out there and the Trejani is committed to finding them.

Cato spoke up. You kept from telling us of your personal interest because you were afraid of the alternative.

Yes, amici. If she was not from one of the lost, it would confirm our greatest fear that they died alone and quickly. I would have been ecstatic had she been from any of those lines. But to confirm an Aceso lived, I nearly lost my breath.

Luna’s sweet voice filtered through. I’m honored to be from such a distinguished line. I’m glad to call you family, Kallon.

I wish you could see my face, cousin. I’m grinning like a loon. You’ve made me happy on a very somber day. I’m going to leave you now. I’ve got to meet up with my staff. We depart in twenty minutes.

Cato felt his gut clench. Be safe, my friend. We’ll see you soon. Tell Maxim to bite me.

Kallon chuckled. Will do. And then he was gone.

Luna rolled to her back and gaped at the ceiling.

“This is surreal. The Insedi that saved my life was related to me the entire time. Amazing.” She turned her head and stared at him with wide eyes.

“I wonder if that’s why we both have such long hair. Would it run in our genetics?”

Cato thought for a few moments. “I’m not sure. I guess you’ll find out when he drags you off to meet the family.”

“Family,” she sighed. “I’ve got family.”

Cato lifted up and rolled over to his nightstand and opened the drawer. He scooted over to her and held a small, black box in front of her wide eyes.

“Speaking of family. You’re officially a Telarius to the Insedi race, but I want you to be known as one on Earth as well.” He flicked the box open with his thumb and revealed a glittering ring with a very large, purple jewel shining in the center. “Marry me, Luna. This is my mother’s lineage ring. If it doesn’t fit, we’ll size it when we get back home. Father gave it to me yesterday. He wants you in our family, too.”

He watched as her eyes glittered and she picked the ring up from the velvet bed. She slipped it onto her finger and it slid perfectly into place, as it should.

“Yes, Cato Telarius. I’ll marry you. I want your last name like I want my next breath.”

Cato sealed her promise with a kiss, then proceeded to make them very late to breakfast.
