Just A Bit Of Trust (Constel·lación #1)

Didac cast his mate’s composed profile an appraisal. She had been avoiding him since the confrontation in the control room, and whenever he happened to be in her vicinity, she didn’t acknowledge him either. He had little and even lacked the experience of being ignored by anyone especially by a woman. He had been compelled to use his gifts to know what she was thinking or feeling, but something had told him, she would feel violated. So here he was.
“I’m sorry.” There he said, and it felt so much better.
“You hurt me.” Vivian’s voice almost broke.
“I know you are hurting. I cannot stand to see you like this.”
“Everything is such a mess, Didac. One day there is a war, I found myself married and whisked away on a spaceship to God know where on the same day. I am excited and petrified all at once.” Vivian’s tear dribbled to her cheek down her upper lip.
Didac wiped the tear with his thumb and more tears joined it. He moved his chair, put his hand around her shoulders and laid her head on his shoulder. ”Come here, just let it all out. Everything is going to be alright.”
“You don’t know that.”
“Hey, you are stronger than you think; Vivian I will do everything in my power to make sure you are alright and to make you the happiest female alive.”
“You are the only one who believes that.”
“Then I am right. I would like us to start all over again.”
Didac’s sincere face convinced her. ”We can do that.” Vivian wiped the last of her tears with the back of her hand and made a terrible attempt at continuing eating.
“Okay.”
Didac covered her hand, which was lying next to his on the table. “I know how your father treated your mother, you and your siblings and I am not that man. You are not only protected, but you are free with me.”
Vivian swallowed. ”What do you mean when you say I am free?”
Didac wanted to keep her. Badly. He was not diplomatic but this past week had taught him to choose his words wisely when speaking to his mate. “You can be the woman you have always wanted to be. You can express yourself without fear.”
Vivian’s eyes watered. This meant so much to her. Didac was more human than the inhuman humans had portrayed him. ”Thank you.”
“So we are good?” Didac wanted to make sure.
“Yes, we are good.” Vivian smiled at him.
“We can finish eating and I can give you a more thorough personal tour of the ship.”
Vivian knew that Didac hadn’t meant to be suggestive, but she couldn’t help herself. That simple statement from her new husband introduced an arousal she couldn’t contain. She had never been labeled a sex fiend, but the only encounter she had with Didac was so good. More episodes like that were welcomed.
Didac spoon stopped halfway to his mouth when he looked up at Vivian. Her scent grazed his sensitive nose.
The shimmer in her eyes was provocative as she licked her lips.” We have all day. You can be as thorough as you like.”
Didac looked to his left and his right to check who was watching. His eyes strayed to her cleavage up her neck to her eyes; his unwavering gaze was filled with promise. ”I will make you feel things no man has ever made you feel.”
If what he had done to her body on their wedding night was a demonstration, she had a distinctive feeling that he may be right.” That is just a theory that needs to be tested.”
“Don’t tease me.”
“That’s not my forte. I am a sure thing.”
“We are leaving.” Didac practically pulled her out of her chair and walked with a fluidity he didn’t feel out of the cafeteria.
They didn’t make it to Didac’s room. In her recklessness, Vivian pulled Didac in the control room and fumbled with his pants.
“Vivian, we can’t……. Damn” Didac made a weak attempt at trying to push her hands away when she started stroking him through his pants.
Vivian laughed.” That’s the first swear word I have heard from your mouth.” Vivian’s tongue touched the tip of his growing penis.
“Put it in your mouth.” Didac’s voice was deep enough to send vibrations down her spine.
He watched his cock disappear as Vivian enclosed him with her warm mouth.
Didac features changed from desire to dominance when she looked up at him on the floor on her knees. “Vivian, you undo me.”
Vivian almost laughed again. Her husband had a way with words, so did every Constel·lación she had met. They were so formal in their speech; it was funny at times.
“You like that.” Vivian gently moved her slim fingers up and down his cock.
“Yes.” Didac panted, he ground his hips against her hand. His eyes roving over her flushed cheeks, her mouth opened wider and took him deeper. He felt the back of her throat. He grabbed the back of her hand to stay her till she gagged.
Vivian relaxed her throat and held on tight to his hips when he started fucking her mouth.
“Oh! Sweet destiny!” Didac expelled his breath. He pulled her up and pushed her underwear over her hips.
Vivian wiggled her hips to help, and then kicked one leg and then the other to completely remove her underwear. Didac pushed her front to the wall, holding her wrist in one hand at her back. ’Open your legs wider.”
And she did. Didac moved his other hand around to her front and touched her clit. Vivian pressed her cheek against the wall and moaned. It felt so good when Didac rubbed his cock between her ass cheeks.
She stuck her ass out. ’Please fuck me already. What are you waiting for?” Vivian struggled with her words in between moans.
Didac pulled on her hair and turned her face around so they could kiss and he buried himself inside her in degrees.
“You can’t be loud; we are in the engine room.” Didac moved slowly and bent his knees so he could bury himself profoundly into her unfathomable depths, kissing and taking small bites to her neck.
“You make it so hard.” Vivian was making an effort to muffle her moans and moved to meet his thrusts.
Didac stilled her by placing his hands on her hips and pressing his chest on her back so he could fuck her the way he wanted.
“You are so tight.” His movements were longer when he changed the angle of his thrusts.
“That’s it, baby.” Vivian cries echoed her excitement.
Didac slammed harder into her pussy, his movements uncontrolled, craving to be in her in every way imaginable. He wanted to penetrate her mind, body, and soul.
Vivian’s cheeks and breast were rubbing up and down the wall, and she didn’t even care.” Oh yeah.”, She moaned encouragingly.
His cock became stiffer as he approached his climax. Vivian’s muscles clenched on his cock as they climaxed together. He continued fucking her to empty himself and almost collapsed on her after, breathing hard.
Vivian was stupefied to see Agostino and a few other men she didn’t recognize waiting outside the engine room when they exited. She ran her hands over her front and thighs to double check if her clothes were intact. Her uncultivated curls looked windblown.
She emulated the queenliest stance she could master as her eyes touched the sparkling eyes of the men before her. Didac breath brushed her hair behind her. ”Didac was just giving me a tour of the control room. It is quite impressive.”
An unrestrained smile broke on Agostino’s face. “I am glad it meets your approval.”
“I definitely approve.”
Agostino and the men burst into laughter.
They must have heard. Vivian’s pale, freckled face turned crimson red.
Fuck that.
Vivian made an unintelligible sound and just walked away, trying to steady her shaky legs and heavily pounding heart.
Didac’s regard caused them to stop laughing immediately.
“I see you have reconciled with your mate,” Agostino said, his voice still painting his laughter.
“Oh, just shut up.”
“You must have known that it
was time for us to make our rounds to check the control room.”
“Bite me.” Didac started in the direction his mate went.
Agostino laughter trailed in his wake.” Paka is rubbing off on you.”
Chapter 11
Vivian watched Constel·lació expand right before her eyes through the screen of the spaceship in the control room. It was shaped like a star, and the white sky reflected the purity of the colors coming from the vegetation of the planet’s land. It was breathtaking, and it calmed her anxiety. For the first time in her life, she appreciated the sheer beauty of creation.
Didac rubbed her small back, and she looked up at him. Vivian caught the first glimpse of a real smile from Didac. The stress lines on his face disappeared, and it registered to Vivian how much of a magnificent specimen her husband really was.
Vivian was relieved that they had managed to reach their destination with no hitches and excited to explore the planet’s allure. The nervousness dampened her excitement she felt at meeting the people of Constel·lació. Would they accept her as their new Queen? The month she had spent on the ship having conversations with her new sister in law had enlightened her about what the Constel·lacións thought of her species. In retrospect, it was comical. Constel·lacións thought humans were deadly, deceptive creatures and from the news executed by the media, the Constel·lacións were depicted as violent and untrustworthy. Even if the Constel·lacións had their share of hooligans like Abramo Agusti, overall they seemed to be very friendly people. They had treated her better than her human counterparts ever had.
“We will be at the Landing point soon.” Didac moved his hand on her back to hold hers lying on her sides. ”You are ready?”
Vivian did not reply, but held his hand tighter. Didac took it that she was and led her away. At the landing station, Didac signaled to a man who stood at the front in line with a dozen or more man there.
“Vivian, please meet the Head of Security at the castle, Madu.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Madu.”
“Likewise, Your Highness.” Madu bowed his head lightly.
“Madu will be taking you to the Castle; I have been away for too long, there are a few things I have to take care of.”
“Will you be long?” Vivian was kind of disappointed. She was hoping that on her first day, Didac would show her himself their new home.
“I don’t know Vivian.” Didac was disappointed too. He wanted to show her himself their personal living quarters in the castle, especially their bedroom.
Vivian didn’t pursue it further; she didn’t want to appear needy in the presence of her new subject. ”Okay, I guess I will see you when you get there.”
Didac detected the misery they're having to part so soon after landing in her voice which he would have dismissed had he not taken the time to study his mate after their reconciliation. ”Vivian, I do not have a choice in this matter. I have to see to my planet.”
Her lips turned up in a sad smile. That was so Didac. Making bold statements. ”Your planet?”
Didac almost missed that smile. Even in sadness, she looked beautiful. More so when she teased him. Didac’s eyes echoed her smile. ”Yes, my planet, these are my people. They belong to me. They are like my children.”
“And all that.” Vivian’s laugh along with the King’s laughter turned heads. Even the soldiers who were standing on alert could not resist looking.
They had heard their King laugh before, but not in that manner. The laugh displayed an intimate secret that could only be understood by the two of them.
Madu watched the Queen’s transformation as she laughed. Her soft eyes and pale skin glowing red. Vivian caught him looking. ”What?”
Madu chose to ignore the improperly phrased question from the Queen and answered. “At the risk of sounding disrespectful, I would like to comment on how astounding you look when you laugh.”
“Thank you, Madu. That’s fine unless if my husband finds it so.” Vivian's eyes trapped Didac’s.
Vivian heavy-lidded eyes almost made him forget his duties. “You are a temptress, Your Highness.” Didac leaned in to place a wet kiss on her mouth. ”Let Madu know if you need anything, ok.”
“Yes, Your Majesty.” Didac’s body responded to the heated response from his mate.
“Okay, that’s it. I have to go.” He mumbled in her mouth when he gave her that final kiss and left, her dreamy eyes following him.
Madu had watched in fascination the interplay between Didac and Vivian. The King was not playful by nature, and here he was sharing secret jokes with his mate while he watched. As professional as always, he swooped his hand to show the Queen where to go. ”If you will follow me, Your Highness.”
Before she got in the planetary vehicle, her eyes scanned the area looking for Michael and Paka. They were nowhere to be found. As soon as she arrived, she saw Paka and Michael exit one of the planetary vehicles. Paka hanged on to Agusti’s arm as soon as she got out. Michael seemed to be in a deep conversation with Esteve.
“Holy Crap, Vivian. It’s a castle. Since I am your sister and all, I guess I am now the princess right.”
“You have the qualities of a princess,” Agostino told Paka
Vivian rolled her eyes. Yeah, Paka was humble, kind and selfless, but her speech needed modifications to be considered one. Agostino had been flattering Paka ever since they came aboard the spaceship the first time. Paka had a big crush on him, and Vivian didn’t know Agostino enough to know how he felt about her sister. Vivian just left them outside.
“Jesus Christ, the inside is as impressive as the outside,” Vivian commented as they all stepped inside the castle.
The floor was covered with a luxurious carpet. Along the walls of the corridor, they were portraits of what Vivian concluded as their lineage because they so much resembled Didac.
“This will be Princess’ Paka’s room,” Madu said as they passed one of the rooms upstairs. ”The one next to it belongs to Princess Annais. Your room is down the hall, Your Highness.”
“Is that also King Didac’s room?” Vivian asked. Most royals she had heard of did not share a bedroom.
Madu seemed shocked by the question. ”Of course, Your Highness. We cannot have it any other way.”
Madu stopped just before the master bedroom. ”If you intend to leave the palace, you must let us know.”
“Why?”
“So a guard can be assigned to you. It would be careless just to wander outside the palace walls alone. There are people who might want to hurt you because of Didac but because you are also human.”
“OH! I understand.” Vivian stepped into the room as Madu held the door open for her. She hesitated before she asked her next question. ”Since the rooms are so close to each other, can they hear us, you know what I mean?”
Madu’s smile blossomed like a flower at the question. ”It is totally as sound proof as the best building materials could allow but our sense of hearing is so magnified there is a possibility that one could hear if there was total silence in the castle.”
“Oh! Oh!”
Madu rather liked the Queen’s speech and expressive words. “I hope you will be happy here.”
“Me too.” Vivian smiled back at Madu. “Thank you very much.”
“You are welcome. If you need anything, just ask.” Madu bowed and left.
Chapter 12
A good night’s sleep had Vivian feeling refreshed and full of energy. The indentation and the earthy smell on the pillow let her know that Didac had come in when she was already sleeping and left before she was awake. She got ready for her day and found a man already situated outside her door.
“Good morning, Your Highness. My name is Chimo; I am the Senior Official of the household.” He bowed lightly“I am pleased to meet you Chimo.”
”Likewise, Your Highness.” Chimo’s smile warmed Vivian. ”I have been given the great honor of showing you the Castle.”
Vivian followed Chimo. Chimo explained what e
very room was and what is was used for. The cross hall downstairs connected to the dining room which was also connected to their living quarters. The hall was also attached to the largest room in the whole castle which Annora explained was used for reception, press conferences, and ceremonies. They took an elevator that led them to the kitchen.
Everyone’s attention turned to them when they entered the room.
“I have never seen a kitchen so big.” Vivian’s enthusiasm made the big man smile. She walked around and inspected the appliances. ”Look at this, Chimo. I can’t wait to do my cooking.”
Chimo looked uncomfortable. ”We have the stuff to do the cooking for you, Your Highness.”
“I know, but I would also like to do my cooking as well.”
The kitchen was clean and tidy and the aromas coming from the food that was in the process of being prepared made Vivian’s mouth water, which reminded her that she hadn’t had anything to eat for the day. Vivian walked around the kitchen inspecting what the workers were doing, missing the surprised looks from the servants. She loved cooking and experimenting with preparing and cooking dishes from different recipes. From time to time, if they were not expecting additional guests or busy, she was planning to dismiss the servants early to cook for her family. That included Annais, Michael, and Paka. It made her happy to prepare something that they would enjoy. The intimacy of making supper and clearing the table together appealed to Vivian. It would help create a better relationship between all of them, including her husband too. Something she had never had or had control over.
"Dolores is also from the House of Servei like me." Chimo introduced the woman. Vivian wondered how old she was. People lived long on this planet "She is the Head Chef and is responsible for overseeing the preparation, cooking and presentation of the food for everyone including employees in the castle."
“These are the leftovers that we sell instead of throwing them away.” Dolores the Head Chef informed Vivian when she noticed that she was looking at the batch of food lying on the table on the other side of the room. Vivian was not wasteful; she thought some of the food could be re-fashioned into new dishes if it was still good. But if the money was used to benefit the Planet, who was she to change it.
